Abstract

This study was conducted to describe the quality of the contents of the Grade V Student Worksheet Theme 1. The quality is decent from the aspect of eligibility requirements, content eligibility aspect, language aspect, presentation aspect, and graphic aspect. This research used descriptive qualitative research methods. Data analysis was done by counting the percentage of the acceptability score of student worksheet. The result showed that the grade V student worksheet Theme 1 has a high level of eligibility in accordance with the standards set by BSNP. This study found that student worksheet still needs some improvement to improve quality of student worksheet. Such as the need to add enough space for student to write something in the student worksheet. But overal the student worksheet has been appropriate with the sepecified indicators. The result showed that aspect of eligibility got score percentage 92,21%, content eligibility aspect got 96,56%, presentation aspect got 99,21%, language aspect got 91,27%, and graphic aspect got 100%. The results of this study indicate that the Student Worksheet used is very feasible and can support learning activities.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to determine the types of student learning styles, problems in the application of learning styles, and the results of implementing learning styles at home during the COVID-19 pandemic in the content of Indonesian language. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with the subject of 15 students in 5th grade Pajang 4 Surakarta elementary school. This research was implemented in 1st semester using a questionnaire distributed to students via google form. Besides that, researchers also conducted interviews with teachers and documentation to support the research. Technique triangulation and time triangulation were selected as tests for the validity of the data in this research. The stages of data analysis used the Miles and Huberman data analysis model. In this research, the results showed that the 5th grade students of Pajang 4 Surakarta elementary school who chose the auditory learning style had a percentage of 20%. Then students with a tendency to visual learning styles have a percentage of 33.33%. Meanwhile, the combined learning style between auditory and visual has the highest percentage of 46.66%. In conclusion, most of the 5th grade students of Pajang 4 Surakarta elementary school used a combined auditory and visual learning style.Keywords: learning style, online learning, Indonesian language, COVID-19, elementary school

Abstract

The research objective is improving the student’s understanding by using the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model. This research is class action research that consists of 2 cycles. The subject is 35 students of 4 th grade of Pulisen State Elementary School Boyolali. Data collection techniques are conducted through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display, and conclusions. To determine the result of student learning outcomes, this research used source triangulation, and techniques. This research shows that students be able to comprehend the concept of economic activity increases. The first cycle result is classical pass percentage reach 75,76%. It increases in the second cycle become 91,18%. Based on observations and data, the conclusion of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model in this research could improve the understanding of the concept of economic activity. The implication of the TSTS model is that two people live in a group and two other people visit another group.

Abstract

This research have a purpose to improve the ability of  HOTS problem solving in the material of characteristic of Indonesian geography by using saintific approach. The type of research is classroom action research, that have two cycles. The subject of this research ware student of the 5th student at Tegalsari No.60 elementary state school Surakarta in the 2019/2020 years of academic. There are 30 students totally. Data collection techniques of this research are interview, test, observation, and documentation with triangulation and content validity as a data analisis. 50% of classical completeness is obtained in the first cycle. In the second cycle, the result of classical completeness is 80%. Conclusions based on the result of the study ware the ability of HOTS problem solving in material characteristic of Indonesian geography on 5th students at Tegalsari No.60 elementary state school Surakarta in the 2019/2020 years of academic can be improved by using saintific approach. This research is expected to improve the learning process on the material characteristics of Indonesian geography related to maximizing the ability to think at a higher level by using scientific reasoning.

Abstract

The research carried out to improve the early reading skills of A-first-grade at Dukuhan Kerten Surakarta Public Elementary School 2019/2020 academic year. The alternative solution chosen for used of the Picture-Word Inductive Learning Model. This research was structured using a qualitative approach with type of Classroom Action Research. The subjects were 12 A-first-grade students of Dukuhan Kerten Surakarta Public Elementary School. The procedure consisted of two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection was carried out using interview techniques, observation, and documentation study. The validity of the data used was the triangulation of data sources. Data analysis used interactive model of Miles and Huberman's analysis. The results of pre-reading skills always increase until the second cycle and stopped because it had reached the research work indicators. The results of the pre-action had value 53.58 (16.67%) increased in the first cycle to 60.00 (41,67%), increased in the second cycle with a value of 80.00 (83.33%). Thus, it conclusion that  used of the Picture-Word Inductive Learning Model can improve the initial reading skills of A-first-grade at  Dukuhan Kerten Surakarta Public Elementary School for 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe parental support for the implementation of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at Karangasem 1 elementary school, Surakarta. This research is a qualitative study using a phenomenological research design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using interviews and observations. The data validity test technique used triangulation of sources. Data analysis is obtained from the results of data collection using interactive analysis which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that parents fully supported online learning, forms of parental support included parental involvement in learning and facilities provided by parents for online learning. Obstacles in the implementation of online learning according to parents include stubborn children, using learning facilities other than for learning, and discipline.

Abstract

The aim of this research is for impoving the elaboration thinking skills by applying think pair share learning model in Social Sciences lessons. This research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles action and each cycles had 4 stages that is planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were students of grade 5th at SD Negeri Jajar 1 No.73 Surakarta on the 2019/2020 academic year with total 27 students. The data collection techniques of this research is the form of interview, observation and elaboration thinking skill tests, and also document studies technique. This research used Miles and Huberman interactive analysis models for the data analysis. The outcome of this research after applying the action was increased from the first condition 58,11 (37%) to 73,74 (52%) in the first cycle, 85,10 (85%) in the second or the last cycle. Based on the outcome of this research, the conclution is the elaboration thinking skills of grade 5thelementary school students in social science learning can be increased after implementing the Think Pair Share learning model.

Abstract

This purpose of this research was 1) know wheter there was a correlattion between the reading interest and the competency of reading comprehension; 2) knowing whether there was a correlattion between the diction mastery and the competency of reading comprehension; 3) knowing whether there was a correlation between both the reading interest and the diction mastery toghether with the competency of reading comprehension.The research was a quantitative survey correlational study. The population of this research was all the students of government elementary school at grade 4TH in kartasura for about 39 schools. The sample of this research was taken with simple random sampling technique.  Five elementary schools was used as the sample by taking the whole students of grade 4 of each government elementary school with the total amount of the students is 110 students.The data was collected through the test instrument in the form of objective choice for the variable of the competency of reading comprehension and also the diction mastery. It was also collected through the questionnaire for the variable of reading interest given to the students. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there was a significant correlation between the reading interest and the competency of reading comprehension ry1 (0.60034), the coefficient of the correlation was tested with the t test, the result tcount (7.8011)> ttable (1.9822) showing a significant correlation between the diction mastery and the competency of reading comprehension ry2 (0.794),, the coefficient of the correlation was tested with the t test, the result tcount (13.5745)> ttable (1.982)showing a significant correlation  between both  the reading interest and the diction mastery with the competency of reading comprehension ry12 for about 0,815. The coefficient of significance with the F test obtained Fcount = 106.00131 real level á = 0.05, with df =107 obtained Ftable = 3.081 then Fcount > Ftable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increased  the understanding of the meaning of the pancasila symbol with a Mind Mapping model in SD Negeri Tunggulsari 1 school year 2019/2020. The researching is a Classroom Action Research at elementary school  concocted in two cycles. every cycle consists of four stages, there are: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The technique to collect data, there are documentation, interviews, observation, and tests. The result of data collection were used as the source of triangulation and triangulation methods.The data analysis was performed of using interactive analysis technique. The first cycle resulted in a percentage of 54,54% and the study continued with the second cycle with the percentage of 90,90%. the outcome of research shows that the use Mind Mapping model can increased  the understanding of the meaning of pancasila symbols at SD Negeri Tunggulsari 1 school years 2019/2020.

Abstract

Abstract. Games book learning media is one of the learning media that can help teachers deliver material to students through a game. Games book is a book-shaped media in which there are various games that interest students in reading. The purpose of this study is to prove that the use of media games books can increase reading interest in grade IV students. The type of research is classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were teacher and fourth grade students of Elementary School Djama'atul Ichwan Surakarata. Data collection techniques in this study through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Data validity testing techniques in this study used triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the reading interest of pre-action students who scored high interest in reading categories was only 29% or 9 students. In cycle I, students who received high interest in reading scores occurred at meeting 1 to 55% or 17 students and meeting 2 to 81% or 25 students. In cycle II there was an increase again in meeting 1 with a score of 87% or 27 students and in meeting 2 to 90% or 28 students. The results showed that the use of game media books could increase the reading interest of Class IV D students at SD Djama'atul Ichwan Surakarta in the academic year 2019/2020.
