Abstract

This research to analyze the used of learning media and conformity between the learning media used in Theme 7 with the learning style of students in grade IV Elementary School. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The reseacrh subjects were teachers and students of grade IV F Ta’mirul Islam Elementary School. The learning styles distinguished in visual, audiotorial and kinesthetic. The results of this research show that the media used in learning Theme 7 was suitable and in accordance with the principles and considerations of learning media selection. From 24 students, 12 students with visual learning style, 7 students with audiotorial learning style, and 5 students with kinesthetic learning style. The conclusion of this research was learning media used in Theme 7 facilitates more visual learning styles, but there are also learning media that facilitate audiotorial learning styles and kinesthetic learning styles. The implication of this research can increase knowledge about the use of learning media that is reviewed from learning style and can encaurage teachers to pay attention to consideration in the use of learning media especially learning style of students. Keywords: Learning Media, Thematic Learning, Theme 7 Indahnya Keragaman di Negeriku, Elementary School,  and Learning Style of Students.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to improve the attitude of cooperation through the application of the Course Review Horray learning model in social studies. The subjects of this study were teachers and 30 students from fifth-grade public elementary school Mangkuyudan Surakarta for the 2019/2020 school year. This research is a classroom action research that has three cycles with two meetings each cycle. The data collected were interviews, observation of students’ cooperative attitudes, assessment among students, and documentation. Data validity of this study using technical triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique used is Miles & Huberman's interactive descriptive analysis model.  In the first cycle, students who got the very good cooperation category reached 13%, the second cycle reached 50%, while the third cycle reached 83% in classical completeness. The conclusion of this research is the cooperative attitude of a fifth-grade public elementary school Mangkuyudan Surakarta academic year 2019/2020 increases through the application of Course Review Horray learning models.

Abstract

This study aims to improve description writing skills by applying guided writing. This study is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The subjects in this study were the second grade students of state Primary School of Tegalrejo 98 Surakarta in academic year 2019/2020 with 15 students. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of interviews, observations, tests and documentations. Validity test technique in this study are the source and content triangulation technique, as well as the content validity. Data analysis used is interactive analysis and comparative descriptive analysis. The initial condition of descriptive text writing skills of second grade resulted 13,3%. The first cycle resulting in percentage of 46,7% in classical and the second cycle with the percentage of 86,7% in classical terms. The conclusions in this study is guided writing improved descriptive writing skills on second grade students of state Primary School of Tegalrejo 98 Surakarta 2091/2020 academic year.

Abstract

The research aims to improve the skill of communicating poetry results using gallery walk model. This research is a classroom action research with two cycles. The subject in this research is fifth grades of primary school Bumi 1 Surakarta in the 2019/2020 academic year, totaling 21 students. The data collection technique used in this research is interviews, observations, test and documentaries. The technique for data analysis used is the interactive analysis Miles and Huberman. The first cycles at the first meeting of the class average is 80,95 with the 60,90 % classification. The second cycles at the second meeting experienced significant increase. The conclusion of the meeting was 85,71 % and the class average of 86,90. The research concludes that use of the gallery walk model may improve the communication skill of the poetry results on 5th grade of primary school Bumi 1 Surakarta in the 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase learning motivation in social science learning by applying Numbered Head Together learning model. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles action and each cycles had 4 stages that is planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were students of the 4th students at SD Negeri Pajang IV Surakarta in the 2019/2020 academic year with total 26 students. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of interview, observation, questionnaire, and documentation. This research used Miles and Huberman interactive analysis models for the data analysis. The result of the research after applying the model was increased from the first condition 19% to 46% in the first cycle, 83% in the second cycle in classical. The result of the research, the conclution is the learning motivation in social science learning of grade 4th students at SD Negeri Pajang IV Surakarta in the 2019/2020 academic year can be increased after implementation of Numbered Head Together learning model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the motivation to learn the theme of healthy food learning Indonesian online in fifth grade Mangkuyudan elementary school. The method used in this research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was carried out by means of questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this study used interactive analysis by Miles & Huberman. The analysis includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study were that the learning motivation students of Mangkuyudan elementary school was categorized into five. The very high category was 7.14%, the high category was 32.14%, the medium category was 28.57%, the low category was 25%, the very low category was 7.14%. The influencing factors are students 'aspirations, students' abilities such as being diligent in learning and collecting assignments on time, the condition of physical students and the availability of telephones for online learning, and the teacher's efforts to provide motivation. The conclusion of this study is that students' learning motivation is in the high category. The form of motivation to learn Indonesian that students get from teachers online is praise, giving tests, and giving grades.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the listening skills of grade V Mangkuyudan elementary school students in the 2020/2021 academic year through learning shows on TVRI. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a case study approach. Primary data were obtained directly from grade V students and teachers at Mangkuyudan elementary school Surakarta, while secondary data was in the form of documents of student work, teacher notes, and official documents in writing at Mangkuyudan elementary school which had a relationship with the focus of the research problem. Sources of data in this study were students of class V which consisted of 28 students as the research sample. The data collection technique was done by using questionnaires, interviews, and study documentation. The data validity test technique used source triangulation and technique triangulation. The data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis by Miles and Huberman's model, namely interactive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the students' listening skills are good, as evidenced by the class average score that has met the minimum completeness criteria. With the details that the value on numeration, namely mathematics, is lower than the value of other subject matter. The implication of this research is to increase the creativity of teachers to determine variations in methods, strategies, and effective media in online learning during the pandemic

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of online learning in Social Science which was implemented in the fifth grades of elementary school as seen from the teacher’s ability to managed online learning, student activities during online learning and the outcomes of student’s cognitive learning. This research was conducted at Soropadan elementary school of Surakarta, from October to December. This research used phenomenological qualitative research method. The subject of this study were the teachers and the students of Soropadan elementary school of Surakarta. The technique of collecting the data used were observation, interview, and document analysis techniques. From those three data, it can be concluded that online learning which implemented in the fifth grades of Soropadan elementary school of Surakarta  in Social Science was less effective. This phenomenon occurs because there was only one from the three indicators that can worked properly. Many factors influence it, such as the limitation of the teachers, the parents’ ability in using or providing the online media, the passive students in the online learning process, also the decrease of the outcomes of the students’ cognitive learning during the online learning. In online learning, not only teachers, students, and schools as determinants of success but infrastructures such as devices, the internet, and the environment of students at home also have an important effect. This infrastructure factor causes low enthusiasm and activeness of students so that cognitive learning outcomes decline. Therefore this research is important for better online learning in elementary school.Keyword: effectiveness of learning, online learning, social studies learning, elementary school

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian soal penilaian harian pembelajaran tematik semester 1 di kelas V SDN Lugu dengan konsep HOTS. Soal juga ditinjau menggunakan dimensi pengetahuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan dimensi pengetahuan yang terdapat pada soal.Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan desain penelitian deskriptif dengan jenis analisis dokumen. Dokumen yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal-soal penilaian harian pembelajaran tematik semester 1 kelas V tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi dokumenter. Analisis data dalam penelitian menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman bernama teknik analisis data interaktif.Data yang diperoleh dan diolah menghasilkan temuan bahwa soal dengan kategori HOTS yang ditemukan dalam keseluruhan soal yaitu sebanyak 6,8%. Penggunaan dimensi pengetahuan pada keseluruhan soal yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah dimensi pengetahuan konseptual yang mencapai persentase 68%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the difficulties of students in the VD class of Djama'atul Ichwan Elementary School in the 2020/2021 academic year in reading comprehension. This study used a qualitative descriptive method where the data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and written tests to 6 respondents. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, this study found difficulties in reading comprehension in students. Difficulty reading comprehension in students is shown through indicators of students' abilities in answering questions about reading content, finding main ideas, making reading conclusions, determining mandates, and the ability to retell the content of the reading. Data analysis in the discussion provides broad and in-depth information about the difficulties of different students regarding reading comprehension.
