Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa belum terbiasa berpikir kritis dan pemanfaatan media audio visual dalam pembelajaran IPAS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Metro Timur belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media audio visual terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPAS siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest posttest control group design. Populasi dan sampel adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Metro Timur yang berjumlah 47 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana yang menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media audio visual berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V dalam pembelajaran IPAS SD Negeri 1 Metro Timur.Kata Kunci: berpikir kritis, media audiovisual, pembelajaran berbasis masalah.

Abstract

This study discusses the low learning outcomes of students in the subject of science in grade IV at Nurul Huda Islamic School Elementary School. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of audiovisual media based on educational game kahoot on the learning outcomes of grade IV students in science learning. The data collection techniques used tests and non-tests. This study employed quantitative research with a Quasi Experiment Design and a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design type. The population consisted 90 students and the sample used was 60 students, the sample was determined using a random sampling technique. The data were analyzed using a simple linear regression test, which showed a significant effect of the use of audiovisual media based on educational game kahoot on the learning outcomes of grade IV students in science learning at Nurul Huda Islamic School Elementary School, indicated by the acquisition of a significance coefficient value of 0.000 <0.05. Based on these results, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect of the use of audiovisual media based on educational game kahoot on the learning outcomes of grade IV students in science learning at Nurul Huda Islamic School Elementary School.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) To describe the learning process using the Discovery Learning model in improving critical thinking skills in science learning for Class IV of SD Negeri Kemasan 1, (2) To improve students' critical thinking skills using the Discovery Learning model in science learning for Class IV of SD Negeri Kemasan 1. This study is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings in each cycle there are research stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study are 28 fourth grade students. The data used were qualitative data, namely the application of the Discovery Learning model and quantitative data, namely the critical thinking skills test in science lessons. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and tests. Data validity used triangulation techniques and sources. The Miles and Huberman model is used for data analysis. The result shows that critical thinking skills in pre-action reached an average of 53.821 with classical completeness of 7%. Cycle 1 reached an average of 68.357 with classical completeness of 54%. Cycle 2 obtained an average of 89.321 and classical completeness of 96%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that learning process that uses the steps of the Discovery Learning model is used by researchers to improve critical thinking skills in the Science subject with several steps, namely: (a) Stimulation, (b) Problem statement, (c) Data collection, (d) Data processing, (e) Verification, (f) Generalization. The application of the Discovery Learning model with the steps that have been explained can be carried out well to improve critical thinking skills in science in grade IV students of SD Negeri Kemasan 1 Surakarta in the 2023/2024 academic year and has achieved the targets that have been set.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ecoliteracy profile of elementary school students. Ecoliteracy or ecological literacy is an important 21st-century competency that includes students' understanding of ecosystem concepts, attitudes toward the environment, and behavior in preserving nature. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with sixth-grade elementary school students as subjects. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that most students have a basic understanding of ecological concepts, demonstrate positive attitudes toward the environment, and have implemented several environmentally friendly actions at school and at home. However, there are still challenges in consistently integrating ecological activities into daily life. This study provides important insights for the development of environmentally-based curriculum and learning strategies in elementary schools. The implementation of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by flipbooks has proven effective in improving students' problem-solving abilities and environmental awareness, thus having implications for strengthening ecoliteracy from elementary school age.

Abstract

The use of instructional media is a fundamental aspect of the teaching and learning process, as it facilitates students’ comprehension of lesson content. This study aims to examine the effect of interactive multimedia learning media on the academic achievement of fifth-grade students, specifically in Bahasa Indonesia, focusing on explanatory texts. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design to investigate the causal relationship between the use of interactive multimedia and student learning outcomes. The instruments used were pretests and posttests administered to fifth-grade students at SDS Al-Washliyah 15 Medan Timur. Normality testing using the Shapiro-Wilk test yielded a significance value of 0.734 for the pretest and 0.023 for the posttest, indicating that the data were not normally distributed. Consequently, the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was employed and produced a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), confirming a significant difference in learning outcomes before and after the intervention. The effectiveness analysis using the N-Gain Score revealed an average gain of 0.65, categorized as “moderate,” and a learning mastery level of 88%, classified as “very good.” These results indicate that the use of interactive multimedia learning media has a significant positive impact on students' performance in understanding explanatory texts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi discovery learning berbasis TPACK dalam penguatan pemahaman konsep matematika materi operasi perkalian bilangan cacah pada peserta didik kelas V. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus deskriptif dengan sumber data meliputi peristiwa pembelajaran, informan (guru dan peserta didik), serta dokumen pendukung seperti modul ajar, lembar jawaban, foto, dan rekaman video. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipasi pasif, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan studi dokumen, dengan validitas diuji melalui triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Analisis data menggunakan teknik interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran terlaksana secara sistematis melalui enam sintaks: stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification, dan generalization, dengan integrasi teknologi, pedagogi, dan konten yang mendorong keterlibatan aktif serta pembentukan pemahaman konsep secara bertahap dan bermakna. Asesmen sumatif menunjukkan 67% peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan discovery learning berbasis TPACK efektif dalam memperkuat pemahaman konsep, meskipun variasi penguasaan masih terjadi antar indikator.

Abstract

Profesionalisme seorang guru dalam proses pembelajaran merupakan kunci utama dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dimana seorang guru yang profesional tidak hanya memiliki pemahaman dan penguasaan materi yang baik, tetapi juga harus memiliki kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan etik profesional yang sesuai dengan standar kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Profesionalisme ini berperan dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang inspiratif dan efektif serta membangun karakter siswa. Salah satu aspek penting dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru adalah penggunaan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi, seperti media berbasis audio-visual, digital, dan game dimana media pembelajaran ini tidak hanya membantu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tetapi juga berkontribusi dalam pembentukan karakter mereka, seperti kemandirian, disiplin, kejujuran, dan kerja sama. Namun, dalam implementasinya masih terdapat berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi guru. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan profesionalisme guru melalui pelatihan, dukungan struktural, dan pemanfaatan teknologi itu sangat penting. Dengan demikian, guru dapat lebih efektif dalam mengelola pembelajaran dengan memilih media pembelajaran yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This study uses wordwall media to improve the writing skills of SPOK patterned sentences in Indonesian language subjects of grade IIIB SDN Danukusuman. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this study were 26 students and teachers of grade IIIB SDN Danukusuman. Data collection techniques were tests, observation and documentation. Data validity testing techniques were source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman analysis model. The results showed that students' writing skills of SPOK patterned sentences increased in each cycle. Classical completeness in the pre-action was 26,92%, in cycle I increased to 60%, and in cycle II increased to 83,33%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of wordwall learning media can significantly improve the writing skills of SPOK patterned sentences in Indonesian language subjects of grade IIIB SDN Danukusuman.

Abstract

One of the 6 dimensions in the Pancasila learner profile that students must have is critical reasoning. The purpose of this study to improve the ability to reason critically in learning Pancasila Education through the application of the group investigation model in grade V elementary school students. The method in this research is a classroom action research method (PTK) carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were students of class VB SDN Nayu with a total of 27 students. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Triangulation of techniques and sources is a method of testing validity. Initial conditions showed the percentage of 22%, cycle I meeting 1 increased to 30%, and at meeting 2 the percentage of completeness was 52%, the average in cycle I was 37%. In cycle II meeting 1 the percentage of completeness was 74% and at meeting 2 it increased to 93%, the average in cycle II was 89%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the group investigation learning model can improve the ability to reason critically in learning Pancasila Education in class VB students of SDN Nayu.

Abstract

This study aims to improve understanding of Indonesia's Rich Culture material by using the Problem Based Learning learning model for students SD Negeri 2 Kuwarisan Kebumen. This research approach is qualitative with the type of research, Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research that has been carried out has two cycles. Each cycle has two meetings. Each meeting has planning, action, and reflection. The subjects of this research are fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kuwarisan. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, documentation and tests. The validity test technique uses technical triangulation. Data analysis techniques use interactive data analysis models from Miles and Huberman. Data analysis begins with data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data conclusions taken during the research. The results showed an increase in understanding of Indonesia's Rich Culture material by using the Problem Based Learning learning model. This can be seen in the increase in the percentage of students who meet the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) at the pre-action stage, cycle I, cycle II. The pre-action activities of students who have met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) in understanding the material of Indonesia Kaya are 35.71% or there are 5 students. While students who have not met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) are 64.07% or there are 9 students. In cycle I, students who have met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) are 42.855 or there are 12 students. While 57.14% or 16 learners have not reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). In cycle II as many as 17.85% or there are 5 students who have not met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) while for students who have met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) as many as 82.14% or there are 23 students. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve understanding of IPAS learning material Indonesia is rich in culture.
