Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of educational facilities and infrastructure in MTsN 10 Boyolali in supporting the learning process. The focus of the study includes five main aspects of management, namely planning, procurement, inventory, maintenance, and removal. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that facility planning is carried out through an analysis of priority needs adjusted to budget capabilities. The procurement of facilities is sourced from BOS funds, community contributions, and third-party assistance, which allows madrasas to meet most of the learning needs. Inventory is carried out periodically to maintain asset control, while daily and periodic maintenance is sought to maintain the condition of the facility. The removal of facilities is carried out according to procedures to reduce the burden of maintenance costs. The obstacles faced include budget limitations, limited land area, and difficulties in scheduling maintenance without disrupting the learning process. However, the madrasah made various improvement efforts, including increasing funding sources through partnerships, space optimization, and more planned maintenance scheduling. Overall, the management of facilities and infrastructure at MTsN 10 Boyolali has been running according to procedures and providing significant support for learning effectiveness, although it still needs improvement in several aspects to achieve more optimal service quality

Abstract

This research develops a modified domino card learning media as a new innovation to enhance students' understanding in Thematic learning for Grade III at SDN Kebonrejo 1 Kepung Kediri, specifically Theme 8 "Praja Muda Karana" Subtheme 2 "Aku Anak Mandiri" Lessons 5 and 6. This research offers novelty by integrating game elements based on modified domino cards specifically designed to support more interactive and engaging thematic learning. The development model used is ADDIE, consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests (pretest and posttest). Data analysis methods involved qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews and observations, which were analyzed to understand the learning context and validator feedback. Quantitative data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 29 to process the results of media validation, questionnaires, and pretest and posttest comparisons. Instrument validity was tested using Product Moment correlation, while questionnaire reliability was calculated using Cronbach's Alpha, with reliability values above 0.7 indicating adequate instrument consistency. The effectiveness test was carried out through N-Gain Score analysis, showing an increase in student learning outcomes from 46 to 88 with an N-Gain value of 78% (effective category). The practical implications of this research include the application of learning media that not only improves student learning outcomes but also creates a more enjoyable and interactive learning atmosphere. This media provides an alternative for teachers to overcome the limitations of conventional methods such as lectures and question-and-answer sessions. With an easy-to-use design, this media can be adopted by teachers in various schools for thematic learning and other relevant subjects.

Abstract

This study discusses the negative impact of bullying in pesantren on the psychological and academic well-being of students, as well as the high number of students who drop out due to bullying. This research aims to: (1) identify bullying behaviour in Pondok Pesantren Bustanul Ulum Ketanggungan Brebes, (2) explain the implementation of character education in bullying prevention, and (3) know the factors that support and hinder character education efforts in bullying prevention. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through observations, interviews with administrators, ustadz and santri, and documentation studies of character education policies. The results showed that bullying behaviour in this pesantren includes physical, verbal, and social behaviour. Character education is implemented through various methods such as example, habituation, advice, reward and punishment, and learning. Supporting factors for bullying prevention include effective communication between parents and santri, choosing good friends, positive attitudes, and self-confidence. On the other hand, barriers come from the limitations of teachers, students, supervisors, and the pesantren environment. Although character education has been implemented, challenges such as lack of effective supervision and understanding of character education among santri and administrators still need to be overcome to achieve more optimal results. The study emphasizes the critical role of character education in creating a safer and more inclusive educational environment. It highlights the potential for these approaches to be adapted and replicated in similar educational settings to prevent bullying, improve student well-being, and foster a culture of respect and empathy.

Abstract

Effective classroom management and adequate teacher competence are two important factors that can influence student learning achievement. At SMPN 2 Tigo Nagari, the influence of these two aspects becomes even more relevant given the challenges of education in the region that require appropriate classroom management approaches and continuous teacher capacity building. Classroom management and teacher ability are two factors that influence the learning achievement of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Class VIII students at SMPN 2 Tigo Nagari, Pasaman Regency. Good classroom management and the teacher's ability to convey information are very important to improve the quality of learning. Students' perceptions of teachers' abilities and classroom management also have an impact on students' motivation and understanding of lessons. Ultimately, student achievement is affected by this. The purpose of the quantitative correlation approach, which collects data through questionnaires and documentation, is to see how students' perceptions of teacher ability, classroom management, and their learning achievement contribute to each other. This study used a quantitative correlation approach and collected data through questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that classroom management (X1) and teacher professionalism (X2) have a significant relationship with students' learning achievement (Y). This is proven by the tcount value which is greater than the ttable (11.400 > 1.667) and the regression equation Y = 37.565 + 0.117X1. In addition, teacher competence and classroom management are simultaneously positively related to student learning achievement; the Fcount value is greater than Ftable (1142.415 greater than 3.13). This finding shows how important good classroom management and teacher ability are in improving student achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of digital platforms to improve the quality of education at SMAN 1 Candung. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive methods, this research explores how teachers and students leverage digital technology in the learning process while identifying factors that support or hinder its effectiveness. Digital platforms such as Google Classroom and Zoom have proven to enhance the flexibility and efficiency of learning, enabling more inclusive teaching and encouraging independent learning among students. However, this study also identifies challenges, including limited internet access, insufficient technological facilities, and varying levels of digital literacy among teachers and students. The findings reveal that digital literacy levels at SMAN 1 Candung vary significantly. While some teachers possess basic knowledge of technology use, they require further training to maximize the potential of digital platforms. On the other hand, students are more familiar with social media but struggle to distinguish valid and relevant information. This disparity in digital literacy is exacerbated by infrastructure limitations, which hinder accessibility and the optimal use of technology in learning. The study also highlights the importance of blended learning strategies to maintain student engagement while leveraging the benefits of both online and face-to-face learning. With intensive training for teachers, technology usage guidelines for students, and adequate infrastructure support, the potential of digital platforms can be optimized to significantly enhance educational quality in the digital era. This research offers both practical and theoretical contributions to the development of digital-based education, particularly in areas with infrastructure constraints like SMAN 1 Candung, and serves as a model for similar educational institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

One of the efforts made by the school principal to improve the quality of educational institutions is the implementation of a learning quality assurance system. It is crucial for educational institutions to implement a quality assurance system for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning because general schools also need to emphasize religious education. By focusing on this quality assurance system, the goal of improving the quality of education in institutions can be achieved, aligning with the institution's objectives. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the PAI learning quality assurance system in fifth-grade classes at SDN 02 Aur Kuning Bukittinggi. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. The data collection techniques employed include observation, interviews, document analysis, and reviewing previous studies related to the research topic. The research location is SDN 02 Aur Kuning Bukittinggi. The results indicate that the PAI learning quality assurance system at SDN 02 Aur Kuning Bukittinggi has been effectively implemented through steps such as program planning, the use of appropriate learning media, and regular evaluation of learning outcomes. The PAI curriculum at SDN 02 Aur Kuning Bukittinggi follows an independent curriculum tailored to the students' characteristics and environmental conditions. The implementation of quality assurance in learning adheres to the National Education Standards (SNP) and is supported by supervision and monitoring from the school principal. The evaluation of students' learning outcomes includes daily assessments, periodic tests, midterm exams, and final semester exams.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of branding management strategies of SMP PMS Kendal, socialization management, and management of Islamic boarding school institutions. Competition between formal educational institutions triggers the enthusiasm of managers to always make improvements and increase quality as is done by this SMP to build a brand image in the community and alumni of the school. This study uses a type of field research (qualitative approach) with a phenomenological approach accompanied by interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques. Respondents involved in this study include internal school principals and a number of teachers. Data analysis used through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results of this study reveal that SMP Pondok Modern Selamat Kendal has implemented a branding management strategy that highlights the uniqueness of Islamic boarding school-based schools with very different differentiation values ​​and is rarely owned by other school institutions in Central Java and this is part of the novelty of this research study. The role and contribution of alumni are very important in publication management accompanied by the use of brochures and social media as a means of publication and branding promotion so that there is optimization of media content, complete and modern infrastructure facilities so as to support academic, character, moral, spiritual and skills development programs for teachers and students with quality and competent HR management in the management of their school institutions. It is hoped that this research can fill the gap in previous research on the development of innovation in Islamic boarding school management, especially in the Central Java region and provide a positive contribution as a model for Islamic school branding management strategies for other institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of Indonesian language learning in the Era of the Independent Curriculum: Evaluation and Innovation. This type of research is a literature review. A literature review is a systematic approach to assessing and synthesizing literature related to specific research topics or issues. It involves analyzing conceptual information as well as qualitative and quantitative data from previously published scholarly articles. Based on the findings and discussion, the use of technology and digital media in Indonesian language learning not only makes the learning process more engaging but also supports students in developing 21st-century skills, which are crucial in the modern era, including critical thinking, creativity, and digital literacy. This applies to both primary and secondary education, which generally face similar challenges. Such an approach makes Indonesian language learning more relevant, dynamic, and interactive, creating a motivating learning atmosphere that fosters student development. By emphasizing collaboration, critical thinking skills, and digital literacy, this method not only helps students understand Indonesian language technically but also enhances their communication skills in line with the demands of the modern world. Students are encouraged to become more critical, creative, and adaptive communicators in an ever-changing environment, while also understanding language in a global and digital context. Furthermore, formative assessment through portfolio-based approaches focuses on the individual development of students, encouraging them to become more reflective, independent, and creative learners. This approach allows students to grow at their own pace and according to their needs, while still receiving support and feedback from teachers. These strategies create an inclusive, adaptive, and supportive learning environment, ensuring students’ long-term success. The gap between the vision of the Merdeka Curriculum and the reality in the field can be addressed through several measures, such as intensive and continuous training, providing training focused on technology and innovative learning on a regular basis, and ensuring it aligns with the needs of Indonesian language teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the management of education systems in Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia using a systematic review approach. Islamic higher education institutions play a strategic role in fostering an excellent generation with strong Islamic character. Therefore, an effective, adaptive, and competitive education management system is essential. The research method used is a systematic review based on the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses) protocol. Data were collected through a search of scholarly articles in reputable databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and Sinta, using specific inclusion criteria. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify patterns, challenges, and solutions in education management. The findings indicate that the education management system in Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia faces challenges, including a lack of synergy between government policies, internal management, and societal needs. Furthermore, the implementation of digital technology and the integration of Islamic values into the curriculum are key aspects for improving educational quality. Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia encounter various challenges in implementing effective and sustainable education management systems. These challenges encompass diverse aspects of management, ranging from government policies and internal management quality to the ever-changing needs of society.

Abstract

The role of parents in shaping children's communication and emotional skills is an important aspect of their social development. However, research on specific strategies used by parents to create an environment that supports children's interpersonal communication is still limited and less focused on practices that can be applied directly. This study aims to explain how parents can create an environment that is conducive to the development of children's interpersonal communication. Using a qualitative approach and the Narrative Literature Review method, this study reviews related literature through Semantic Scholar. The results of the study indicate that parental support is essential in developing effective communication skills. Parents can support this development by creating a home atmosphere that is open to dialogue, providing positive communication models, and listening attentively to children. The uniqueness of this study lies in its approach that highlights a combination of concrete strategies in the family context to support children's interpersonal communication holistically. The implication is that this study can be a practical guide for parents in strengthening their children's communication skills from an early age.
