Abstract

Issues in healthcare services are frequently linked to the level of patient satisfaction. This study aims to examine the effect of service quality and the marketing mix on patient satisfaction and loyalty among outpatients at XYZ Type C Hospital in Makassar. Service quality was measured through tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The marketing mix included product, price, promotion, place, physical evidence, process, and people. Data were collected from 64 respondents using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression (SPSS) and Sobel mediation testing. The results show that service quality positively and significantly affects satisfaction (β = 0.750; p < 0.001) and loyalty (β = 0.559; p < 0.001). Marketing mix also positively and significantly affects satisfaction (β = 0.774; p < 0.001) and loyalty (β = 0.557; p < 0.001). Satisfaction has the most dominant effect on loyalty (β = 0.842; p < 0.001) and mediates the influence of service quality and marketing mix on loyalty (Sobel Z = 7.21 and 7.55). Therefore, this study extends services marketing theory in the healthcare sector by empirically validating a mediation model in the context of a Type C private hospital in Indonesia.

Abstract

The modern transportation and logistics landscape is undergoing a dramatic transformation, driven by the relentless pursuit of efficiency, resilience, and sustainability. A critical aspect of modern green supply chain management is optimizing transportation routes to reduce fuel consumption and minimize carbon footprints. Building on this paradigm, this study examines the impact of the Milk Run Method on distance traveled, fuel consumption, and carbon footprint during delivery, comparing its implementation with the Point-to-Point delivery method. Milk Run method showed a 29% reduction in travel distance and 9% lower fuel usage and CO₂ emissions across six routes. Its effectiveness, however, depended on supplier proximity and cargo volume.

Abstract

Customer loyalty remains a central marketing management objective, yet loyalty formation is increasingly shaped by firms’ digital capabilities and the quality of customer experiences across digital touchpoints. Drawing on customer engagement theory and relationship marketing, this study examines how Digital Marketing Capability (DMC) and Brand Experience (BE) influence Customer Loyalty (LOY), and whether Customer Engagement (CE) mediates these relationships. Survey data from 200 online retail customers were analyzed using covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB‑SEM; Maximum Likelihood). The measurement model demonstrated satisfactory reliability (Cronbach’s α = 0.901–0.863) and acceptable convergent/discriminant validity; discriminant validity was confirmed using the heterotrait–monotrait (HTMT) ratio. Structural results show that DMC and BE significantly increase CE (β = 0.369 and 0.453, respectively), and CE positively drives LOY (β = 0.460). Mediation testing indicates that CE fully mediates the effect of DMC on LOY and partially mediates the effect of BE on LOY. The findings underscore that investments in digital marketing processes and experience design translate into loyalty primarily by fostering deeper customer engagement. The study contributes to the marketing management literature by integrating capability and experience perspectives within a parsimonious engagement-based loyalty model and offers actionable guidance for omnichannel and e-commerce managers.

Abstract

The quality of nursing services is a strategic component in the healthcare system because nurses have the highest interaction intensity with patients. In Type C state-owned hospitals, the quality of nursing services plays a crucial role in determining the level of patient satisfaction, organizational image, and the sustainability of healthcare quality. This condition requires hospitals to be oriented not only to meet service standards, but also to strengthen human resource factors that support quality service behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of servant leadership and training effectiveness on the quality of nursing services with job involvement as an intervening variable. The study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method and was supported by qualitative data through interviews. The unit of analysis was nurses with an Indefinite Term Employment Agreement status working at Type C state-owned hospitals in Jakarta. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula with a total of 138 respondents. Quantitative data analysis was conducted using path analysis, while qualitative data were analyzed using the Delphi technique. The results showed that servant leadership and training effectiveness had a positive and significant effect on the quality of nursing services and job involvement. Job involvement had a positive effect on service quality, but was not effective in mediating the influence of servant leadership and training effectiveness on service quality. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening servant leadership, increasing training effectiveness, and nurse job involvement in efforts to improve service quality in hospitals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Servant Leadership, the Application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Psychological Capital on the Service Quality of Civil Servant Nurses, with Employee Engagement as a mediating variable. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 155 D3 civil servant nurses at Tangerang City Hospital. Data were analyzed using path analysis to test the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results showed that Servant Leadership, the Application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Psychological Capital, and Employee Engagement had a direct positive and significant effect on Service Quality. Servant Leadership, the Application of ICT, and Psychological Capital also had a direct positive and significant effect on Employee Engagement. The mediation test revealed that Employee Engagement partially mediated the effect of Servant Leadership and the Application of ICT on Service Quality, with the direct effects of these two variables being more dominant than their indirect effects through Employee Engagement. The findings of this study confirm that improving the Service Quality of Nurses in government hospitals requires an integrated approach through strengthening service-oriented leadership, optimizing the use of ICT, and developing nurses' psychological capital and work engagement. This research provides theoretical contributions in the development of a human resource-based Service Quality model and practical implications for regional hospital management in designing policies for improving sustainable health Service Quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Indonesian capital market's response to the launch of Indonesian Wealth Fund (Danantara) as a strategic initiative of the government's fiscal digitalization on February 24, 2025, focusing on the shares of major state-owned banks, namely BBRI, BMRI, BBNI, and BBTN. This study examines five market indicators, including stock prices, abnormal returns (AR), cumulative abnormal returns (CAR), trading volume, and stock risk, to assess the information content of this public policy. The research method used is an event study with an event window (–7, +7), supported by statistical testing using the paired-sample t-test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test to ensure the accuracy of the analysis on different data characteristics. The results show that the launch of Danantara did not result in statistically significant changes in all market indicators tested, indicating that the policy information has been internalized quickly and efficiently by the market. This finding supports the validity of the semi-strong form of the Efficient Market Hypothesis, where macro and non-proprietary public information does not create arbitrage opportunities. The novelty of this research lies in the empirical testing of the impact of the launch of a digital-based sovereign wealth fund on state-owned bank shares through a multi-indicator approach, thereby enriching the literature on event studies of public policy and fiscal digital transformation in developing countries.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the use of the PayLater feature on the Shopee platform and the emergence of impulsive buying behavior among Generation Z. The research employs a literature analysis approach by reviewing various academic studies and publications related to digital consumer behavior, buy now pay later services, and psychological factors influencing purchasing decisions. The findings indicate that the convenience of the Shopee PayLater feature, flexible payment systems, and the reduction of the pain of paying encourage consumers to make spontaneous purchases. In addition, psychological factors such as hedonic motivation, social pressure in the form of the fear of missing out (FOMO) phenomenon, and a consumptive lifestyle shaped by social media exposure further strengthen the tendency toward such behavior. Over time, PayLater services are no longer perceived solely as credit facilities for urgent needs but have also transformed into lifestyle enablers for young consumers. On the other hand, self-control plays an important internal role in mitigating impulsive buying, as individuals with stronger self-control are generally more capable of distinguishing between needs and wants in their consumption patterns. Therefore, strengthening digital financial literacy is essential for Generation Z as active users of fintech services. Improved financial literacy is expected to help young people utilize financial innovations more wisely while maintaining long-term financial well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy implemented by Tere Liye and compare it with the conventional marketing model commonly used by Indonesian authors through publishing houses. The research uses a descriptive approach based on literature analysis and secondary data related to digital transformation in the publishing industry. The results show that the marketing strategy adopted by Tere Liye reflects a shift from a conventional publishing model to a digital-based direct-to-consumer approach through his own e-commerce platform. This strategy allows greater control over pricing, promotion, and distribution. In contrast, most Indonesian authors generally rely on publishers and bookstores for distribution, where marketing control is largely handled by third parties. The findings indicate that Tere Liye’s strategy offers several advantages, including full control over pricing and promotional activities, more direct and intensive relationships with readers, and the potential for higher profit margins due to a shorter distribution chain. However, this model also presents certain challenges, such as relatively limited distribution reach and the need for independent management of operational and logistical processes. On the other hand, the conventional strategy used by authors through publishers provides advantages in terms of wider distribution networks and established publishing systems. Nevertheless, this approach also has limitations, including reduced author control over pricing and promotion, as well as smaller profit margins due to the involvement of multiple intermediaries in the distribution process. Overall, the study highlights the importance of flexible business models in the publishing industry to remain competitive amid ongoing digital transformation.
