Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Stroke is a cerebrovascular disease that causes sudden death. The blockage causes a lack of oxygen supply which can cause rupture of the arteries to the brain and death of the cells. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected stroke care through various aspects, many of which are associated with neurological symptoms and complications that occur due to delays in treatment. Therefore, the application of telerehabilitation can help support and care for patients with stroke by reducing the risk of transmission of COVID-19. Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyse the application of telerehabilitation to post-stroke patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method:The research method is in the form of a systematic review with literature search on primary sources online database, namely PubMed, Medline, and Google Scholar with a range of 2019 to 2021, selection of studies using a meta-analysis approach by answering questions using the PECOT/PICOS framework and analyzed using simplified approach. In this study, the number of articles found was 889 articles with six articles meeting the inclusion criteria. Results: The results of this study indicate that telerehabilitation is effective for stroke patients, but providing telerehabilitation must pay attention to the patient's and family's ability to use digital technology, the ability to understand rehabilitation programs, and also various aspects such as functional status: direct motor skills involving the upper extremities, balance, cardiorespiratory fitness, cognitive function, and the level of acceptance and eligibility of teletherapy by users (patients/families) at home so that the therapy program can run optimally. Conclusion: Telerehabilitation is effectively implemented in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic because it can provide support and help patients, families, and health services in providing care for stroke patients while reducing the risk of transmission of COVID-19. Abstract

Background: Stroke patients experience hemiparesis. Stroke management is done by pharmacological and non-pharmacological means.Pharmacologically, stroke management can be given fibrinolytic, while non-pharmacologically, exercises such as mirror therapy can be done, which is a therapeutic intervention that focuses on the movement of non-problematic limbs using mirrors in the hope of reducing nerve damage, reducing and preventing recurrent strokes. Objective: to determine the effect of mirror therapy can increase muscle strength in patients with non-hemorrhagic stroke. Methods: The type of research used is pre-experiment design without control group. The intervention given is the provision of mirror therapy for a duration of 15 minutes 6 times a week. The research was conducted in all internal medicine inpatient rooms at Kustati Islamic General Hospital Surakarta. The population of this study were all non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. This study used purposive sampling technique obtained as many as 35 patients. The instruments used to measure muscle strength are MMT (Manual Muscle Testing) observation sheets and mirror therapy SOPs. The data analysis used was the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test analysis test. Results:The mean value of respondents' muscle strength before being given mirror therapy was 0.90 and after being given mirror therapy was 2.57. There is a difference in the mean value of muscle strength before and after by 1.67. Conclusion: Mirror Therapy can be used as one of the interventions that can be used by nurses in carrying out nursing care actions for stroke patients in increasing muscle strength. This causes stressors for patients and their families. Nurse intervention can reduce patient and family stressors by providing good health services and focusing on patient-caring behavior. Purpose: This research can explain the relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the anxiety level of patients and their families in the Intensive Care Unit Method: The method used is a literature review. The procedure for searching and selecting articles was based on Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), so four articles were obtained for analysis in the database used in this study, namely Google Scholar, which was limited to publication in the last five years from 2018 to 2023, full-text articles in English. English and Indonesian. Results: The review results of the four articles stated that the analysis of the Univariate and Bivariate statistical tests explained a correlation between respondents' perceptions of nurse caring and the level of anxiety in patients and families with a P value <0.05. Discussion: Nurses providing nursing care are able to provide care with affection, understanding, problem-solving, giving support, giving appreciation, giving attention, and communication which can provide a sense of security and comfort for patients and their families. The existence of sufficient caring behavior from nurses will minimize the incidence of anxiety. Conclusion: There is a relationship between caring behavior and decreased family anxiety in patients treated in the ICU

Abstract

Background: Acute gastritis is an inflammation that occurs on the mucosal surface of the stomach due to an unhealthy lifestyle. Gastritis is often suffered by students.Prevent acute gastritis, can be done by increasing knowledge about acute gastritis and implementing acute gastritis prevention behavior. Objective:To obtain information on the relationship between knowledge about acute gastritis and gastritis prevention behavior Methods:This study used descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected by giving a questionnaire containing respondent data, acute gastritis knowledge statements, and acute gastritis prevention behavior statements. The sample in this study was 69 respondents who were taken using probability sampling technique stratified sampling.Data analysis using the Spearman rank test Results:The results of the variable analysis test showed that the average student had knowledge about acute gastritis amounting to 41 people (59.4%) with sufficient categories, and had acute gastritis prevention behavior amounting to 37 people (53.6%) with sufficient categories, so bivariate analysis was carried out using the Spearman rank test with the results of 0.029 (p-value <0.05) there is a relationship between knowledge and gastritis prevention behavior by students. Conclusion:Students' understanding of gastritis can affect gastritis prevention reactions. The higher the level of knowledge about acute gastritis, the better it is to do acute gastritis prevention behavior
