Abstract

The utilization of used cooking oil into aromatheraphy candles is an effort to develop the creativity of residents to reduce liquid waste pollution in the surrounding environment. Due to the large amount of used cooking oil produced by daily home activities in Dupakmagersari, there is a wonderful chance to manage waste more effectively by turning it into aromatherapy candles. The residents can use this innovation as a creative enterprise since they can sell the products to make money. The purpose of this research is a way to minimize waste oil pollution that can threaten environmental damage and human health. This research uses methods from the problem solving, determination, manufacture, and distribution stages. So that the results of this research, the Dupak Magersari community, Jepara Village, Bubutan Subdistrict, Surabaya City, especially Srikandi Kapirel squad can have the skills to utilize waste oil into goods that have selling value, namely aromatheraphy candles. The community will benefit from the ability to produce and market aromatherapy candles made from used cooking oil, which will increase revenue.

Abstract

Desa Semat memiliki banyak asset, wisata pantai, pemuda, dan olahan makanan khas. Namun masalahnya tata letak kurang teratur, kumuh, banyak sampah di sekitar pantai. Permasalahan mitra pada aspek manajemen, sosial masyarakat, dan pemasaran. Tim pengabdi bermitra dengan Pokdarwis Lestari Bahari dan pengelola pantai desa Semat. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). Mulai dari discovery, design, dream, define, destiny, dan reflection. Proses untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan pemahaman mitra menggunakan metode test, melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasilnya tahapan discovery, design, dream, define dilakukan melalui Focuss Group Discussion bersama mitra. Tahap destiny dilakukan melalui pelatihan capacity building, pengolahan sampah, dan pendampingan penggunaan website. Tahap reflection dilakukan melalui evaluasi sharing bersama mitra, dan menganalisis hasil pre-test dan post-test. Hasilnya rata-rata seluruh peserta memiliki peningkatan pemahaman, rata-rata awal pre-test rentang 60-75, kemudian nilai post-test rentang 70-80. Peserta juga mengalami peningkatan kesadaran, dan ketrampilan baik terkait manajemen, kesadaran menjaga lingkungan, dan pemasaran. Prosentase kepuasan, 85% peserta sangat puas, 15% puas, dan 100% peserta menilai program ini bermanfaat dan berkomitmen melanjutkan program membuat usaha bersama souvenir dari limbah cangkang kerang, dan mengembangkan website sebagai media promosi.

Abstract

This community service research aims to improve the competence of SMA Negeri 1 Sidrap teachers in designing and implementing learning based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) through the integration of Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). This activity was motivated by teachers' low understanding of the HOTS learning strategy, the limitations of the use of CAI, and the lack of application of IoT in supporting contextual learning according to the demands of the Independent Curriculum. The method used is a participatory-collaborative approach with several stages, namely socialization, intensive training, application of technology in the classroom, mentoring and evaluation, and preparation of good practice guidelines as a form of program sustainability. Data was collected through observations, interviews, pre-training and post-training questionnaires, and activity documentation. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in teachers' competence in designing HOTS teaching devices, utilizing interactive CAI modules, and integrating simple IoT in project-based learning. In addition, this activity strengthens the capacity of educational institutions through the development of adaptive technology-based learning models, increasing student involvement, and placing SMA Negeri 1 Sidrap as a model school in the implementation of CAI and IoT-based HOTS learning.

Abstract

High levels of anxiety and low resilience remain common psychological challenges faced by individuals in coping with life stressors. Technology-based approaches, such as mental health applications, offer innovative and easily accessible solutions, yet remain under-researched in Indonesia.  This study aims to analyze the Qolbu Care application’s effectiveness on respondents' anxiety and resilience levels. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach involving 90 respondents. The intervention was administered over eight weeks using the Qolbu Care application. Standardized anxiety and resilience questionnaires were used as research instruments. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test. The analysis revealed a statistically significant reduction in anxiety levels (mean = –16.45; SD = 8.12; SE = 1.05; p = 0.0001), as well as a statistically significant increase in resilience (mean = 11.40; SD = 6.85; SE = 0.98; p = 0.0001). The Qolbu Care application has proven effective in reducing anxiety and enhancing resilience among respondents. These findings affirm that digital-based interventions can be an innovative alternative for psychosocial support within nursing practice.

Abstract

This service activity was motivated by the lack of training and resources that support inclusive learning in schools. The aim is to equip teachers in Malacca district with the ability to implement inclusive learning models. We used the methods of planning, action, observation, evaluation and reflection. The stages began with coordination with the Malacca District Education and Culture Office, socialization to high school teachers, and program development based on situation and needs analysis. In this activity, teachers received training and mentoring and conducted inclusive learning simulations. The results show that 94.5% of teachers have adequate skills in implementing inclusive learning models in the classroom. This indicates a positive impact, where teachers become more creative in helping students according to their abilities.

Abstract

The existence of the covid-19 pandemic has caused students to study online, so school institutions use technology media as a tool in the teaching and learning process so that learning continues. In this Community Service, the service team held activities, namely thematic learning assistance which aims to help improve intellectual intelligence and enthusiasm for learning in elementary school students at Pondok Pesantren KH. Hasyim Asy'ari. The Service Team carries out learning mentoring activities using the ABCD method approach, namely (Asset Based Community Development) community service that departs from the assets or potentials of the community. In this ABCD method, there are several stages carried out including the first stage of inculturation (introduction), the second stage of discovery (disclosing information), the third design (knowing assets and identifying opportunities) and the fourth stage define (supporting the implementation of work programs), the fifth stage is reflection (reflection). With this mentoring activity, it has succeeded in helping students become more active in learning and trying to understand, seek, and find answers or materials related to thematic learning. From this it can be concluded that this learning mentoring activity is considered to have a good effect on increasing the intellectual intelligence and enthusiasm of students to learn, indicated by the increased enthusiasm for learning students, students are not easy to complain with a lot of assignments from school, increased self-confidence, responsive attitude and creativity at school students.

Abstract

Abstract Disaster management (DM) gets a new dimension with the ratification of Law No. 24 (2007) on disaster management followed some related rules. DM as an thorough effort is started by disaster risk reduction, emergency, rehabilitation, and reconstruction. Based on the authority, DM needs to be in a comprehensive policy level ranging from national, regional, up to the village scope as a front guard of the government, though DM is not only the responsibility of government, where the people have to also actively participate. Pujiharjo Village, Tirtoyudo District, Malang, is one of villages potentially affected by natural disasters, ranging from erosion and flooding. This village as the smallest government unit interacting with the community, has policies that are poured into village regulations (Perdes) about the disaster management with local knowledge to reduce disaster risk. Thus, the community is expected to be tougher because they can anticipate and minimize the disaster risk by breakthrough adaptation, ability to handle and keep the structure, and function certain basic in times of disasters. Even if affected by any disaster, they would quickly rebuild into normal or at least can independently recover. Desa Tangguh (Tough Village) as a national program of BNPB, can also act as the responsibility of a government against people in the disaster management. Keyword : Disaster Management, Regulations, Village Abstrak Penanggulangan bencana (PB) mendapat dimensi baru dengan diterbitkannya UU No. 24 (2007) tentang penanggulangan bencana yang diikuti beberapa aturan terkait. PB sebagai upaya menyeluruh dan proaktif dimulai dari pengurangan risiko bencana, tanggap darurat, rehabilitasi, dan rekonstruksi. Berdasarkan kewenangannya, PB perlu memiliki kebijakan komprehensif mulai dari tingkat nasional, regional, hingga ruang lingkup desa sebagai ujung tombak pemerintahan, meski PB bukan hanya tanggung jawab pemerintah, di mana rakyat juga harus ikut aktif. Desa Pujiharjo, Kecamatan Tirtoyudo, Malang, adalah salah satu desa yang berpotensi terkena bencana alam, mulai dari erosi hingga banjir. Desa ini sebagai unit pemerintah terkecil yang berinteraksi dengan masyarakat, memiliki kebijakan yang dituangkan ke dalam peraturan desa (Perdes) tentang manajemen bencana dengan pengetahuan lokal untuk mengurangi risiko bencana. Dengan demikian, masyarakat diharapkan lebih tangguh karena mereka dapat mengantisipasi dan meminimalkan risiko bencana dengan melakukan terobosan adaptasi, kemampuan menangani dan menjaga struktur, dan fungsi dasar tertentu pada saat bencana. Bahkan jika terdampak bencana, mereka akan dengan cepat membangun kembali hingga normal atau setidaknya dapat pulih secara mandiri. Abstract

This paper describes the community service activities with cross-scientific and sectoral approaches using the SWOT method at certain times and regions, with the aim of providing several aspects, including education, social, religious, and health. Through this community service program it is expected that students can optimize a family or household in building their personality into a prosperous, independent, religious family that is able to face the challenges of a better future. Abstract

Abstrak Saat ini banyak ibu rumah tangga memiliki bisnis sampingan yang sesuai dengan keterampilan dan hobi mereka. Adapun tujuan dari bisnis sampingan tersebut adalah untuk membantu kebutuhan keuangan rumah tangga mereka. Penelitian sebelumnya telah menunjukkan bahwa ibu rumah tangga yang juga pengusaha perempuan memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan keluarga. Namun demikian, terdapat kesulitan dari ibu rumah tangga dalam memasarkan produk dan layanan mereka. Pengabdian ini melaksanakan sosialisasi terkait cara membuat akun e-commerce dan menggunakannya sebagai alternatif untuk menjual produk dan layanan mereka. Selain itu, hasil dari kegiatan layanan masyarakat internasional ini adalah bahwa ibu rumah tangga dapat menjual produk dan layanan mereka melalui e-commerce. Menurut hasil survei pada kegiatan sosialisasi ini, diketahui bahwa hambatan bagi ibu rumah tangga adalah masih rendahnya pendidikan mereka dimana 65% dari mereka memiliki pendidikan sekolah menengah. Juga, kepemilikan aplikasi internet banking dan mobile banking masih rendah, yaitu 35%. Dengan demikian, kepemilikan yang rendah atas aplikasi internet banking dan mobile banking membuat mereka kesulitan untuk menjual produk dan layanannya melalui e-commerce. Semua peserta sosialisasi menyatakan bahwa kegiatan ini bermanfaat dan menambah pengetahuan mereka. Selanjutnya untuk dapat meningkatkan omset penjualan mereka adalah melalui perbaikan kemasan produk dan layanan mereka untuk membuatnya lebih menarik bagi pembeli. Abstract The current phenomenon is that many homemakers have a side business following their skills and hobbies that aim to help their household financial needs. Previous research has shown that homemakers who are also women entrepreneurs have a significant contribution to family welfare. However, there are difficulties from homemakers in marketing their products and services. The method used in this international community service is socialization related to how to create an e-commerce account and use it as an alternative to selling their products and services. Furthermore, the outcome of this service activity is that homemakers can sell their products and services through e-commerce. According to the survey results on this socialization activity, it is known that the obstacle for homemakers is that education is still low, 65% of them have high school and junior high school education. Also, internet banking and mobile banking application ownership are still small, at 35%. Thus, the low ownership of internet banking and mobile banking applications has made it difficult for them to sell through e-commerce. All participants of the socialization stated that this activity was useful and increased their knowledge. Next to be able to increase their sales turnover is through improvements to the packaging of their products and services to make it more attractive to buyers. Abstract

Sumber Rejo Hamlet is a hamlet located in Lembeyan Wetan Village with the majority of the population's livelihoods being farmers. Community empowerment was chosen as a step to increase community knowledge, skills and motivation to strengthen their resources. Using ABCD approach, the activity began with the mapping of the area, community, associations, and individual assets. There were a number of problems that occurred in Sumber Rejo Hamlet. In mapping step, several obstacles faced by the community especially the fact that there were the amount of garbage scattered in the river and the lack of management of plastic waste. Then, plastic waste management training program was chosen to run. This activity is becoming the focus of main activities because more and more plastic waste will potentially pollute the environment. The waste management training was held on August 7, 2019 at Mrs. Katini’s home, one of the residents in Sumber Rejo Hamlet. The target of this activity is homemakers in Sumber Rejo village with the aim that they become more concerned with plastic waste and its use. Presenters of plastic waste management training came from Kopma Al-Hikmah IAIN Ponorogo where the implementation of the training went very well. The participants were very enthusiastic in welcoming the training and were able to take part in the activity until the end. Keywords: empowerment, community, pollution, environment, garbage Abstrak Dusun Sumber Rejo adalah dusun yang terletak di Desa Lembeyan Wetan dengan mayoritas mata pencaharian penduduk adalah petani. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dipilih sebagai langkah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan motivasi masyarakat untuk memperkuat sumber daya mereka. Menggunakan pendekatan ABCD, kegiatan dimulai dengan pemetaan area, komunitas, asosiasi, dan aset individu. Ada sejumlah masalah yang terjadi di Dusun Sumber Rejo. Dalam langkah pemetaan, beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat terutama fakta bahwa ada jumlah sampah yang berserakan di sungai dan kurangnya pengelolaan sampah plastik. Kemudian, program pelatihan pengelolaan limbah plastik dipilih untuk dijalankan. Kegiatan ini menjadi fokus kegiatan utama karena semakin banyak sampah plastik yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Pelatihan pengelolaan sampah plastik diadakan pada 7 Agustus 2019 di rumah Ny. Katini, salah satu warga di Dusun Sumber Rejo. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah para ibu rumah tangga di desa Sumber Rejo dengan tujuan agar mereka lebih peduli dengan sampah plastik dan penggunaannya. Penyaji pelatihan pengelolaan sampah plastik datang dari Kopma Al-Hikmah IAIN Ponorogo di mana pelaksanaan pelatihan berjalan dengan sangat baik.
