Abstract

The Indonesian tourism industry has experienced significant development in recent years, especially the marine tourism sector, a favorite destination for domestic and foreign tourists. This study aims to analyze the influence of tourism facilities and tourist attractions on the interest in revisiting Pasir Jambak Beach, Padang City. This research methodology uses a quantitative descriptive approach with multiple linear regression analysis of 96 secondary data samples from 2023-2024, obtained from the Padang City Tourism Office. The study showed that tourist attractions had a dominant influence with a regression coefficient of 0.658 (sig. 0.000), contributing 43.3% to the interest in revisiting. Tourism facilities had a significant effect with a coefficient of 0.542 (sig. 0.000), contributing 29.4%. Simultaneously, these two variables were able to explain the variance in the interest in revisiting by 72.4% (R² = 0.724, F = 123.567, sig. 0.000). It can be concluded that the superiority of the natural tourist attractions of Pasir Jambak Beach is the main determinant of tourist loyalty, while tourist facilities function as supporting factors for the realization of an optimal tourist experience. Implications: Tourist destination managers should prioritize the development of tourist attractions based on local uniqueness while maintaining the quality standards of supporting infrastructure.

Abstract

Competition in the global tourism industry requires regions to create innovative and competitive promotional strategies. Padang Pariaman Regency, through the Department of Tourism, Youth, and Sports, utilizes the presence of tourism ambassadors as promotional agents to introduce the potential of local destinations. The purpose of this activity was to analyze the promotional strategies implemented through the role of tourism ambassadors and evaluate their effectiveness and contribution to increasing tourist visits. The method used was a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using a SWOT approach to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in strategy implementation. The results showed that tourism ambassadors have played an active role in promotions, both directly and through digital media, but their role is still limited to symbolic aspects and is less than optimal in creating informative promotional content. The conclusion of this activity indicates that the promotional strategy through tourism ambassadors has great potential for development by increasing communication capacity, content creativity, and stronger collaboration between the department and ambassadors. The impact of this activity is expected to improve the image of regional tourism, expand the reach of tourist destination information, and strengthen the role of the younger generation in sustainable tourism development.

Abstract

The entrepreneurial capacity of Muslim women at the Berlian Cooperative in South Tangerang remains limited, particularly in terms of digital marketing skills and understanding of halal product standards. Most of their businesses operate on a micro-scale with limited market reach and do not fully comply with comprehensive halal standards, hampering their competitiveness and sustainability. The purpose of this community service was to improve their knowledge of halal standards and digital marketing skills as a promotional and information dissemination tool. The service adopted a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, which included outreach, education, training, and direct mentoring for selected cooperative members through purposive sampling. The results of the service demonstrated a significant increase in participants' understanding of halal certification, application procedures, and the implementation of halal standards in production. Participants were able to identify halal and thayyib ingredients and align their production practices with Islamic principles. In the area of digital marketing, participants successfully created business social media accounts, utilized digital platforms for promotion, and developed engaging content to effectively engage consumers. Future community service programs should expand the implementation period, provide comprehensive halal certification guidance, and integrate digital business tools to ensure greater sustainability and broader impact.

Abstract

This community engagement project addresses the limited use of interactive, environmentally friendly teaching methods in primary education, particularly among teachers at SD Gugus Dham Lubuk, Aceh Besar. The study aimed to introduce and train teachers using the ecoprint steaming technique as an innovative learning approach that integrates environmental sustainability with hands-on art-based activities. The program followed a structured process of socialization, training, classroom application, and mentoring, involving 30 teachers in demonstrations and practice using natural materials such as leaves and flowers. Before the training, 85% of teachers had never been exposed to ecoprint and still relied on lecture-based methods that limited creativity and engagement. Post-training results indicated increased teacher participation, creativity in lesson planning, and readiness to apply ecoprint in classrooms. Teachers successfully integrated the method into science and art lessons, enhancing student engagement while fostering environmental awareness. Beyond these immediate outcomes, sustainability measures were established through digital modules, a class “ecoprint corner”, and continuous mentoring with local stakeholders. These efforts ensure long-term adoption of interactive, eco-friendly teaching practices. Furthermore, the initiative demonstrated the potential for sustainable creative economy activities, as teachers and students produced marketable products showcased in a school exhibition, linking education with environmental stewardship and local economic empowerment.

Abstract

As the province's capital, Kupang City has adequate communication and internet infrastructure, with an internet penetration rate above 70%. However, not all MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise) actors have optimally utilized these facilities to advance their businesses. Lele Bumbu is one such MSME that remains stagnant, even though catfish consumption in Indonesia remains one of the main protein sources with consistently high demand. Due to limited capital and low digital literacy, Lele Bumbu operates as a home-based industry and has not utilized digital marketing effectively. This community service program (PkM) aims to assist and train Lele Bumbu to improve product quality, establish proper management, and adopt digital marketing and financial technology, ultimately creating a strong digital brand. The method employed uses a PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) approach through collecting primary and secondary data, focus group discussions (FGD), and implementation via socialization, training, and mentoring for business owners. The PkM activities increased business owners' capacity to master digital marketing, financial recording applications, and business management. Based on the analysis, business management capacity improved by more than 70%, the ability to use marketing and financial applications increased by more than 75%, and product quality improved by 50% regarding the product and its packaging.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out to empower the Home Industry (IRT) of “Putri” Sapodilla Syrup in Pangkatrejo Village, Sugio Subdistrict, Lamongan. The partner faced challenges in three main aspects: inconsistent product quality and a short shelf life due to limited production technology, weak business management systems and financial record-keeping, and a marketing strategy limited to conventional promotional methods. The implementation method consisted of five stages: socialization, training, application of appropriate technology, mentoring, and evaluation. Interventions included the use of pasteurization machines, heavy-duty blenders, pH meters, refractometers, and vacuum sealers to improve product hygiene and shelf life. In terms of management, training was provided on digital financial recording, brand identity development, and simple business archiving. In marketing, redesigned packaging was introduced through Canva Pro, the activation of social media accounts (Instagram and TikTok), and distribution via e-commerce platforms (Shopee). The results showed significant improvements: the syrup product can now last up to three months without preservatives, sales increased by up to 30% within six months, and the partner’s managerial skills improved through digital record-keeping. Specifically, the partner’s average monthly revenue increased from IDR 3,000,000 before the program to approximately IDR 4,000,000 - 4,200,000 after the interventions. This program contributes to the achievement of SDGs 8, 9, and 12, and supports the strengthening of a green economy based on local potential.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the results of memory game testing as a digital innovation of cognitive therapy in preventing dementia for the elderly. Dementia is a degenerative disease that attacks cognitive function in the elderly. Until now, no cure for the disease has been found; however, the risk and symptoms can be reduced through various therapies that stimulate and improve cognitive function. Smart games can be an effective tool for helping elderly individuals engage in cognitive and physical exercise. Games can stimulate the brain to prevent and slow the progression of dementia. The method used is Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR). The stages include the formation of partnerships, the implementation of collaborative and participatory research, and the dissemination of findings. The partnership was formed with the community of True Crossword Puzzle Lovers (Petition). The design of CBPR involved the elderly in Srengseng Sawah, the curator of TTS Kompas Book Publisher, game practitioners from PT Terminal Koding, and PT Karya Jasa Digital. In its implementation, the team identified elderly health problems, designed the TTS, sought expert validation for the TTS, developed the TTS in a digital game format, tested the feasibility of the games with industry practitioners, and disseminated the games to the public. The results of the usability test, based on ISO 9241-11, indicate a positive level, with usability criterion at 70%, application ease of use criterion at 76.8%, ease of learning the application at 78%, and user satisfaction at 80.4%. Testing was also conducted on the main users of the game, specifically older people and those over 50 years old. The results of this prototype test showed that 85% of older people reported being satisfied, with a 95% level of sensitivity to memory improvement. Thus, this Memoria game can be applied as an alternative medium for dementia prevention as well as a digital innovation for cognitive therapy.
