Abstract

The low interest in reading in Indonesia has led to a lag in information and literacy culture which is very important for developed countries. Initial observations show that 75% of students at SDN Ngadirejo 5 get low scores in literacy and numeracy. AKM also shows that the level of numeracy literacy is still lacking and needs to be improved. Group guidance services using e-bibliotherapy techniques aim to develop students' socialization and communication skills. The efforts made are by providing training in creating e-bibliotherapy media with the stages of needs analysis, socialization, training, implementation and mentoring as well as evaluation. The application used is Canva and media to publish web-based teacher work. From the community service activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that training in making e-bibliotherapy media for teachers in elementary schools in the city of Kediri is very useful. The visible benefit is that teachers are able to create e-bibliotherapy media as an effort to improve literacy and numeracy competencies. Apart from that, teachers are starting to want to apply the skills they already have to create multimedia that can be directly applied in the learning process.

Abstract

Clean water sanitation is an effort to maintain cleanliness and prevent the transmission of waterborne diseases to achieve community welfare in an area. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of the managers and consumers of HIPPAM Tirta Bahari Banjarjo Village, Bancar Subdistrict, Tuban Regency in managing clean water to fulfill basic proper sanitation. There are two activities to achieve this goal, the first activity was carried out on 19 August 2024 and related to the socialization of basic sanitation for a decent life. The second activity was carried out on 16 September 2024 related to making filtration with natural filters. Evaluation of the success of the socialization of this activity was carried out through pre-test and post-test. The pre-test and post-test results showed that the participants' understanding had increased to 95%, meaning that the participants could receive the material well. However, there is still a need for long-term evaluation regarding the sustainability of the program. Cooperation from all parties in implementing clean living is the most important factor, so that the effectiveness of basic sanitation can be fulfilled.

Abstract

Darul Fithrah Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes DF) is a tahfiz Al-Qur'an-focused Islamic boarding school with education levels from kindergarten to high school. This Islamic boarding school has various active extracurriculars, one of which is hydroponic extracurriculars. This extracurricular is very useful for improving students' abilities. However, currently, there are still various shortcomings, one of which is related to the capability and application of technology in gardens. In order to fulfill this, training activities are carried out in this community service, and automatic nutrient control technology in hydroponics is applied. The training is aimed at students and hydroponic extracurricular administrators. This training activity focuses on explaining various methods and types of plants that can be cultivated using the hydroponic method, then training on the use of automatic nutrient control in hydroponic gardens. Based on the results of training and the application of automatic nutrient control technology, students and administrators can understand various types of hydroponic cultivation methods and then know how to plant various other types of plants that can be cultivated so that there can be a greater variety of plants that can be planted in the garden. Finally, based on the results of the application and training of automatic nutrient control technology, the students and administrators consider that the application of this technology is beneficial in the process of monitoring and maintaining plant quality.

Abstract

Agricultural practices on limited land using organic waste management byproducts pose a significant challenge, especially in Lempake Village, North Samarinda. Bank Ramli Bukit Benanga in RT 037 Bukit Benanga Housing has successfully converted organic waste into eco enzyme, compost, and maggot, though these products have not been optimally utilized or marketed. This Community Partnership Program aims to empower the community by enhancing skills in integrated agriculture on limited land and facilitating the marketing of organic products from constrained spaces. Through training and mentoring in aerofarming, tabulampot, and budikdamber techniques, the program aims to utilize eco enzyme, compost, and maggot more effectively in plant and fish cultivation. It also equips partners with packaging design skills and strategies for online and offline marketing. The program results include increased independent food production, enhanced partner income through organic product marketing, and improved environmental quality around Bukit Benanga Housing. Additionally, the program supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in poverty reduction, welfare improvement, and sustainable production and consumption patterns.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the quality and competitiveness of salted basreng products at UMKM Mina Karya Mandiri by implementing the Nitrogen Filling Band Sealer (NFBS) Machine. The implementation method involves several stages, namely partner surveys, idea and information exploration, work preparation and planning, tool design, tool trials, as well as socialization, tool operational training, and mentoring. The results of the analysis show that the use of NFBS increases the shelf life of products from 1 month to 6-12 months, reduces the damage rate from 20% to 2%, and reduces the product return rate from 15% to 3%. In addition, consumer satisfaction increased from 60% to 90%, and average sales increased by 50%, from 100 units to 150 units per month. The implementation of NFBS increases profit margins by 167%, from IDR 3,000,000 to IDR 8,000,000 per month, thereby increasing the competitiveness of UMKM.

Abstract

The implementation of community service in Punggur Besar village focuses on diversifying processed banana fruit as a village potential, through mentoring and empowerment activities for Punggur Besar villagers. This activity aims to improve knowledge and skills as well as increase the income of the Punggur Besar Village PKK women's group through diversification of banana fruit products. The method of implementing this activity was carried out by providing socialization, training and assistance in diversifying processed banana fruit products from the production process to marketing. The results of the activity showed an increase in the productivity of Punggur Besar villagers in making processed banana fruit, having skills in entrepreneurship independently and being able to increase the growth of village MSMEs.

Abstract

Nutrition is one of the problems for developing countries like Indonesia, the problem of nutrition becomes a double burden, namely underweight and overweight. Nutritional problems can increase the risk of low BMI disorders such as hypoglycemia, hypotension, and even malnutrition. While disorders that can be caused by high BMI can be obesity, hypercholesterolemia, and even coronary heart disease, the check can be carried out with free Community Service carried out by the Medical Lab Technology Study Program, Bali International University targeting the Banjar Piakan community, Sibang Kaja Village, Badung. The (POCT) method is used in checking blood glucose levels. The results of residents of Banjar Piakan, Sibangkaja Village, Badung who have a BMI <18.5 there are 3 people with 4.0% in the less than ideal category. BMI 18.5-24.9 of 23 people has a percentage of 31.08% in the ideal category, 13 people have more bb with a percentage of 31.08%, and residents who have a BMI with an obese category are 35 residents with a percentage of 47.29%. Based on blood glucose level parameters, residents of Banjar Piakan, Sibangkaja Village showed normal glucose levels of 55 residents of Banjar Piakan, Sibang kaja Village or 74.32% and only 19 people or 25.67% had glucose levels above 140 mg/dL. It can be concluded from this community service activity regarding checking BMI and even blood glucose can be used in examining health conditions.

Abstract

Posyandu Sei Jang Laut and Aisyiyah in Tanjungpinang still rely on a manual recording system that is prone to errors and less efficient. Duplication of data that occurs between notebooks, Excel reports, and PDFs is an obstacle in managing toddler growth data. To overcome these problems, the community service team developed a mobile and web-based toddler and elderly information system. This application is designed to integrate all posyandu participant data, both toddlers and elderly, as well as monitor the growth of toddlers more efficiently and accurately, and produce output in the form of participant reports and toddler development so that it can be immediately analyzed and used for decision making. The results of the evaluation of the application show that it is easy to access the application 61.5% agree and 38.5% strongly agree. The application can support posyandu administration 69.2% strongly agree. And overall satisfaction with the application 62.9% strongly agree and 30.8% agree. With the existence of mobile and web-based toddler and elderly information systems can improve the quality of posyandu services by providing accurate data so that empowering posyandu cadres in carrying out their duties is assisted by the use of information technology so as to improve the quality of public health in Tanjungpinang.

Abstract

Glagaharum Village is one of the villages in Porong District, Sidoarjo. Housewives of Glagaharum Village have high potential to improve their village's economy with their sewing skills. However, knowledge in calculating the cost of goods sold and marketing products effectively is still very minimal. Therefore, the "Kampung Jahit Arumpreneur" program is present as an effort to improve education and the economy of Glagaharum Village. Through training in the form of holding exhibitions, this program also contributes to realizing SDGs goals 1 and 4, namely poverty alleviation and quality education. The training in selling typical products of Glagaharum Village at Grand City Surabaya aims to sharpen the knowledge and skills of Glagaharum Village mothers to market and attract customers to compete in the market.

Abstract

Mathematics learning at the elementary school level requires an appropriate approach to build students' conceptual understanding and self-efficacy. Based on observations, there is still a low level of mathematical ability and self-efficacy among students at SD Inpres Morowa, as evidenced by students' difficulties in understanding basic mathematical concepts, lack of active participation in learning, and low self-confidence in solving mathematical problems. Therefore, the purpose of this community service activity is to improve students' mathematical abilities through the implementation of reciprocal teaching reinforced with self-efficacy development. The method used is peer teaching with a collaborative approach involving 19 fourth-grade students. This activity was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this activity show a significant improvement in students' mathematical abilities and an increase in students' self-efficacy, as seen in the increased self-confidence, activeness, and ability to explain mathematical concepts to peers.
