Abstract

Tujuan studi ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan ekonomi kelompok produktif melalui diversifikasi budidaya ikan dan sayuran sistem “Minasa” di Tulungagung. Secara umum metode yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan program ini yaitu: (1) transek/pemetaan swadaya; (2) focus group discussion dan (3) bimbingan teknis. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa sistem “Minasa” ini merupakan diversifikasi baru dalam budidaya ikan dan sayuran yang secara ekonomi dapat memberikan nilai tambah secara keuangan kepada masyarakat dan secara kelembagaan dapat membantu pemerintah dalam mengimplementasikan Badan Usaha Milik Desa.

Abstract

One potential tourism segment in the Riau Islands is attractions managed by local communities on the coast such as the Pengudang Bintan Mangrove in Pengudang Village, Riau Islands. Most of these attractions are not widely known outside the Riau Islands because of promotions that have not been explored maximally. By conducting a survey, a study of literature, and an analysis of a series of problems, website design was made as a solution. The website is equipped with questionnaires and visitor charts so that managers can conduct an empirical analysis to set targets and goals going forward. In addition to the website also made a profile of attractions on one of the famous traveller sites like TripAdvisor. The results of reviews of tourists visiting various tourist objects, become the basis of most tourists to decide to choose a tourist location.

Abstract

To enliven the spirit and support tourism activities in the city of Malang, in 1962 the City Government of Malang launched the slogan Tri Bina Cita which means Malang as a city of education, industry and tourism. This is a strategic step because the three sectors support each other in the economic growth of the city. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) notes that the number of tourist visits to Malang from year to year continues to increase significantly. This has increasingly stabilized the city of Malang as one of the favorite tourist destinations in Indonesia, not only for domestic tourists but also foreign tourists, as well as opening up enormous opportunities for the development of creative tourism areas, including Kampung Biru Arema (KBA). Moreover, culinary and heritage tourism destinations are still a mainstay in Malang. However, KBA still faces several obstacles to become an ideal tourist area, including the absence of a clear concept of what will become the flagship icon of Kampung Biru as a thematic tourist village and tourism management that has not yet been established. Therefore, the purpose of this community service is to explore the historical potential around Ledok Brantas in Kiduldalem sub-district and make it a mainstay tourism concept for KBA. In addition, another aim is to help formulate an effective and efficient Tourism Management Team. This community service running from March to September 2019 has produced the concept of community-based tourism that is ready to be further developed, namely the launch of the KBA as Historical Education Tourism Village. Another result is the holding of a community-based tourism management workshop so that management can run effectively and efficiently which in the end creates a tourism destination that continues to develop in a sustainable manner and the community becomes increasingly empowered economically, socially and culturally.

Abstract

Vocabulary is an important part of learning English. There are many numbers of words and phrases that are studied by each individual In the English word learning system and meaning in Indonesian. Therefore, many English language experts present detailed descriptions of of vocabulary form in English, both English-Indonesian and Indonesian-English, which can be understood easily by the English user environment. In learning vocabulary, of course there is a level that studies several types of vocabulary, one of the vocabulary learners is beginners. In this case, instructors and learners in Mosaic English Training Center need to be introduced to e-dictionary in learning vocabulary. Instructors often use dictionaries or dictionary manuals so it needs a more modern application, e-vocabulary dictionary is needed in learning vocab in the Mosaic English Training Center. The purpose of this program is to improve the ability of the instructors and the quality of teaching so it can be applied to the teaching and learning process and facilitate learners in learning vocabulary in the Mosaic English English Training Center.

Abstract

The Bintan Regency Government through the Village Community Empowerment Service (PMD) established Posyantek (Pos Technology Services) in 2018. Posyantek is a Technology Service that is spread out from the smallest villages, sub-districts and districts. Based on the Minister of Home Affairs regulation No. 20 of 2010 concerning Community Empowerment through Appropriate Technology Management and also Minister of Home Affairs Instruction No. 24 of 1998 concerning Posyantekdes operations. The purpose of establishing a posyantek is how to improve the welfare of the community. Posyantek has various main types which include providing technical services, information, and promotion of various types of TTG to the community, increasing the quality and quantity of various types of products produced by the community, both small and medium enterprises (SMEs), posyantek is also expected to be a bridge for the community to use TTG in the context of utilizing TTG (Appropriate Technology). The purpose of community service is carried out as an effort to support the important role of the presence of technology in community life as one of the factors driving change and also accelerating development both in the economic, and social and cultural fields. In the process of implementing Posyantek Posyantek operations in the Regency of Bintan is developing a process of designing activities programs, in line with this the need for synergy of interference and support from related parties including educational institutions in the Maritime University of Raja Ali Haji. Assistance and training are given to posyantek cadres in carrying out work programs in accordance with the output expected by the government and the community.

Abstract

The Science and Technology Program for the Community aims to provide assistance in implementing the school literacy movement at SMPN 25 Malang. The target of this activity is the principal and all teachers of Malang City Public Middle School 25, but the next stage is focused on the literacy team of Malang City Public Middle School. The method applied is a workshop and assistance. The results of this activity were in the form of a manual for the literacy movement of the 25th Junior High School in Malang, which consisted of (a) the School Literacy Movement in the Junior High School, (b) the Literacy Activity Program of the 25th Junior High School in Malang, (c) closing. In addition, SMPN 25 Kota Malang has implemented 3 of the 8 planned programs.

Abstract

Batang Arau is a newly developed tourist attraction in the city of Padang. The development of this object has an impact on the opening of opportunities to trade food for mothers who live in the area. The problem is that the food offered is still processed simply and does not pay much attention to hygiene in the processing and serving it. For this reason, training activities are carried out which aim to provide an understanding of the importance of creativity in trying primarily to process food and the importance of hygiene in the processing and serving of food. This activity also provides training on examples of processing food with fish-based ingredients that are widely available in the area. As a result traders get an understanding of the importance of creativity and hygiene in food trading and they are also able to develop ideas from food preparation examples that are trained.

Abstract

This Stimulus Community Partnership Program (PKMS) aims to make an electric salt cooker that can be used by salt farmers efficiently. The process of making salt by the Meugah Raya Salt Group still uses the traditional method of evaporating seawater in plastered plots with sunlight without using any technological tools. Although raw materials are abundant, salinity and dissolved pollutants are very diverse. Moreover, the equipments used were still conventional and relies on firewood as a salt cooking fuel so that the capital needed to cook salt is large enough. To solve the current problem, through this program, it created an electrical system salt cooker named "Electrical Salt Machine". Meanwhile, the method employed started at the socialization and site survey, the finalization and design of tools, preparation of tools and materials, manufacturing tools, testing tools, evaluating and refining tools, simulating the use of tools to partners and assisting partners and monitoring. The results showed that the process of making salt by using this tool was able to save time at cooking salt. Furthermore, it was more efficient since it had no longer of using firewood so that it saved costs.

Abstract

The use of e-learning in learning is growing. However, limiting the use of gadgets in learning activities is one of the reasons from mathematics teachers do not use e-learning in the classroom so learning is beome less innovative and creative. There is even teacher who cannot use laptop because he/she have never known e-learning or provided used learning media. The method used in this service is the guided training method where all participants are guided from the beginning of the account creation to the introduction of tools, student’s and parent’s account which available at Edmodo. In this training activity, participants also had to produce output in the form of formative test questions in the form of shared quizzes at Edmodo. Before knowing Edmodo math teachers were doubtful about its use for formative tests. However, in the training process especially when knowing the unique way to write equations on Edmodo, the level of enthusiasm and the desire of teachers to apply in the classroom also increased. All participants felt that e-learning was able to help teachers create an innovative, creative classroom atmosphere and increase motivation to learn mathematics in class.

Abstract

The incidence of hypertension increases with age. Alterations in function and structure in peripheral vascular system are thought to be the cause of high prevalence of hypertension in the elderly. Holistic, patient-centered management of hypertension is needed to prevent deaths from heart failure. This community service aimed to find out the level of knowledge about hypertension in residents of Jembatan Lima Sub-district, Tambora District, West Jakarta. Using a questionnaire, the level of knowledge was studied in 48 participants cross-sectionally. Blood pressure measurements were also carried out to describe the incidence of hypertension in that area. There was a low level of knowledge about hypertension among participants and this had an impact on increasing the risk of hypertension. Fifty-two percent of participants had normal blood pressure, whereas 48% participants were diagnosed as hypertension. Based on demographic data of participants obtained during the event, age, sex, education level and type of work were significantly increasing the risk of hypertension. Results from this community service conclude that the lack of knowledge of hypertension especially in the elderly can increase the risk of hypertension. In order to improve the quality of managing hypertension in the elderly in Jembatan Lima Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta, it is recommended that counseling and discussion groups to be held annually, especially among the elderly.
