Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) KWT Bunda Jaya Bunda Jaya Pekon Enggalrejo, Kecamatan Adiluwih Kabupaten Pringsewu dalam mengoptimalkan usaha perikanan air tawar sebagai sumber pendapatan alternatif. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat akan dilakuakan pelatihan dan pendampingan udidaya ikan lele menggunakan teknik bioflok. Target pemberdayaan yang akan dilakukan adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota KWT Bunda Jaya tentang budiaya perikanan air tawar melalui teknik bioflok, meningatkan kapasitas SDM KWT Bunda Jaya dalam berwirausaha dan terciptanya sumber pendapatan alternatif anggota dan pengurus KWT Bunda Jaya dalam jangka panjang. Program pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui kegiatan budidaya ikan lele dengan teknologi bioflok di Pekon KWT Bunda Jaya Pekon Enggalrejo Kecamatan Adiluwih Pringsewu dilakukan melalui pemberian bantuan 1 kolam terpal berdiameter 2 meter, bibit ikan lele, pakan, obat-obatan, prebiotic dan kebutuhan lain untuk budidaya ikan lele dengan sistem bioflok selama satu siklus budidaya. Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan anggota KWT Bunda Jaya pasca pengabdian/penyuluhan yang berkaitan dengan pengetahuan mengenai ikan lele dengan teknologi bioflok yang meningkat dari 18,79% menjadi 90,30%. Tingkat pengetahuan anggota KWT mengenai kualitas air budidaya dengan teknologi bioflok meningkat signifikan dari 21,43% ke 92,00%. Tingkat pengetahuan anggota KWT mengenai pemberian pakan, pakan alternative, dan penyakit meningkat dari 16,30% menjadi 87,69%. Saat ini budidaya ikan melalui kolam bioflok terus berjalan dan usia ikan lele adalah 1 (satu) bulan setelah tebar bibit lele.

Abstract

Teluk Kiluan located in Pekon (Village) Kiluan Negeri, Kelumbayan District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province, has the potential to become an international class tourist destination since foreign tourists have started visiting this area. To make the interaction between foreign tourists with the local people and tourism practitioners run well, the local human resources (local people and tourism practitioners) are required to inevitably communicate in English. Therefore, the purpose of the community service was to help the local government, local people and tourism practitioners to communicate and convey information correctly to foreign tourists visiting Teluk Kiluan through a program called communicative English for tourism training. The participants of this event were the local people and tourism practitioners in Teluk Kiluan. To solve the problem faced by the local people and tourism practitioners due to lack of English for tourism mastery, some training methods were used including: (1) presentations on the importance of English as a lingua franca in the field of tourism, and (2) a workshop on communicative English for tourism through simulations, dialogues, and role playing, as well as discussions. Based on the score of each participant in the pre-test and post-test, there was an increase in the results before and after the training was carried out. They had the confidence to properly communicate and interact with foreign tourists. Besides, according to semi-structured interviews, the participants were satisfied with the event. Thus, it can be said that they derive much benefit from their participation in the training.

Abstract

The main idea of this activity was to provide information for the business actors of jamu gendong to be able to administer product permits at BPOM. This effort was carried out by providing skills and insight to the business actors of jamu gendong through socialization, counseling, and joint training with related agencies. This training was carried out from the selection of simplisia to business management. The result of this activity was that the partner could produce the products of jamu gendong that had the better quality in terms of product safety so that the products of jamu gendong from Ngablak Village could be marketed in supermarkets, gift shops or through online. In addition, jamu gendong was expected to become the main beverage as asubstitute for mineral water in the meetings at Village Meeting Hall of Ngablak. The permit from BPOM was expected to influence the improvement of the welfare of the members of the community.

Abstract

Lumbang Honey is one of the featured products owned by Lumbang, Probolinggo, East Java. As a featured product, the legality has been issued by the Probolinggo District Government through Probolinggo Regent Decree number 030/1134/426.12/2013. Lumbang honey is supported by 10 Forest Farmer Groups with honey production of 6,206 kg per month in 2014. Although the amount of honey production is very abundant, Lumbang honey has not been able to compete with commercial honey products on the market. This is because the quality and price of Lumbang honey is very diverse. Therefore, The Center of Honey "Kampung Madu" was established in Lumbang Village, Probolinggo. The purpose of Kampung Madu are as a place to produce premium quality of honey as well as a place for marketing and honey-related education to the community. The method is by approaching the technology application and product standardization as well as assistance in strengthening the farmer institutional management. The results of the assistance, Kampung Madu has been able to produce an average of 900 kg of premium quality of honey per month with the brand "Madu Madakaripura" which has fulfilled the water content in accordance with SNI 8664 : 2018 which is less than 22% and has obtained a PIRT certificate. In terms of prices, there is an increase in the price of honey to 500 % of the raw honey obtained from farmers. From the aspect of strengthening institutional management, there have been 30 farmers in the District of Lumbang who are members of the Cooperation of HIMATERA in the honey division. The cooperation has a role in helping the farmers in providing capital and facilities.

Abstract

Work on student assignments and assessments are done manually so that evaluation cannot be done objectively because many tasks are similar or even the same as other student assignments. Copying other people's work is unlawful; students lack an understanding of the definition of plagiarism. Therefore education about this is done early, especially for the world of knowledge, which incidentally really appreciates the work of others. Making plagiarism software is needed to answer these challenges; this service activity provides training to teachers in managing online-based student assignments and checking assignment documents using plagiarism software. This activity can make it easier for teachers to offer assignment assessments and provide students with an understanding of the originality of a work.

Abstract

Kampung Biru Arema is one of thematic tourist villages in the city of Malang which provides economic benefits to the residents. The potential development of Kampung Biru is also supported by its strategic location. However, people have difficulty in communicating with foreign tourists due to their limited English speaking competence. Related to this problem, the community service is aimed at improving the quality of human resources by providing foreign language training (English and Chinese). The training was given for two months (June - July 2019). The results showed an improvement in the trainees’ skills and confidence in communicating in English. In addition, the team also have completed writing a booklet that can be used as a reference whenever the residents have difficulties in communication practices with foreign tourists visiting Kampung Biru Arema Malang.

Abstract

Sekoto Village is the largest onion producer center in Kediri Regency. The aim of this service activity is to provide training on processing low quality shallots into high quality fried onion products using an Automatic Shallot Processing Machine (PEBMO) that is practical, effective and efficient. The activity material provided was about the marketing of shallots and the processing of low quality shallots starting from stripping of shallots, chopping onions, and draining oil using an Automatic Shallot Processing Machine (PEBMO). Community service activities (PKM) which include (1) observation; (2) design and provision of tools (PEBMO) to shallot farmers; (3) socialization; (4) training and practice; (5) monitoring. This activity is useful to increase the income of shallot farmers, this is because low quality shallots are processed into high-quality fried onion products with a stable selling price, so that shallot farmers will not lose if the yields produced have low quality.

Abstract

The development of plant cultivation technology is now developing rapidly. One of the technologies being developed is the technology of cultivating landless or by using a hydroponic system. Many types of hydroponics, one of which is the method of drip irrigation with planting media in the form of husk charcoal. The purpose of this activity is to introduce renewable technology to the cultivation of tomato plants to the community, so that public knowledge will increase. This activity was carried out in Parentas Village, Cigalontang District, Tasikmalaya District, with a survey method and socialization of the introduction of tomato cultivation technology through the Hydroponic system to the public. This program succeeded in informing the villagers about the cultivation techniques of tomato plants using Hydroponic technology with satisfactory results. The response of the extension participants who were enthusiastic and felt interested in the technology encouraged the participants to be willing to cultivate tomato plants with Hydroponic technology and work together to be able to produce tomato products with the technology in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Kiab Jaya village has the main potential, namely oil palm, where oil palm is an agricultural sector that can provide a sizeable contribution. Palm oil farmers are one of the farmer groups incorporated in the Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD), this makes KUD to continue to produce new innovations that are able to bring the farmer groups to continue to develop, especially in supporting community welfare. Website as an information system that can provide accurate information, it can be utilized by KUD to become a media that supports the role of KUD, bringing farmer groups to be able to operate in a successful way by means of technology literacy so that farmer groups will continue to get information the latest and increase the literacy of oil palm farmers. Therefore, the purpose of this community service activity is to create a KUD Website named Koperasi Kiap Mandiri, which later will contain information about cooperatives and information about oil palm plantations, by involving the students as well as agents of change. The method of the activity is in the form of website creation training for Kukerta Students, website management training for cooperative administrators in managing websites, training in using websites for participants (cooperative members), and website launching. This activity begins with a time span from April to September 2019. The results of this activity are the formation of the cooperative website Kiap Jaya Mandiri, website module with ISBN: 978-623-7512-49-3, the formation of website managers and increased knowledge and skills about the technical use of the website , searching for information about oil palm science and technology through websites and sharing information through media websites, so as to increase media literacy in oil palm farmers.

Abstract

Banyuresmi village is a national priority rural area that is dared in Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province. Limited facilities and infrastructure, especially the lack of water supply have resulted in a lack of carrying capacity for economic growth based on local potential. Banyuresmi Village Community also has not been able to manage natural resources optimally. Optimization of natural resources can be done in an integrated manner in the yard of the house through aquaponics technology. The application of aquaponics technology can be used as a solution to the problems found in Banyuresmi Village so that the food needs of its citizens can be fulfilled so that the creation of food independence. Community service activities include increasing knowledge of aquaponic technology through training and implementation of aquaponic cultivation. The implementation of community service activities uses the Participatory Rular Appraisal (PRA) method, Participatory Technology Development (PRD), persuasive and educative approaches. The results of knowledge measurement showed an increase in knowledge, incorporation of cultivation, and fertilization with fish droppings to 65-70%. Catfish harvest in aquaponic cultivation reaches 91 kg with a maintenance period of 3 months. Besides fish, harvest vegetables such as kale, baby romaine, cuisine, and lettuce.
