Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the effect of the problem-based learning learning model on the learning outcomes of fifth grade mathematics at SDN Rawa Gempol. This study used a Quasi-Experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The population subjects in this study were all fifth grade students at SDN Rawa Gempol, totaling 51 students, by taking two classes as a sample, namely the VA class, which consisted of 25 students as the experimental class and the VB class, which consisted of 26 students as the control class. The data collection technique uses a test item instrument consisting of 10 valid and reliable questions. To test the pretest hypothesis in this study used the t test, from the results of the t test obtained tcount = 1.48 and ttable = 2.00, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in effect between the average pretest value of the experimental class and the control class. Whereas for testing the posttest hypothesis from the t test obtained tcount = 2.51 and ttable = 2.00, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in effect between the average posttest scores of the experimental class and the control class. This can be interpreted that the learning outcomes of fifth grade students using problem based learning learning models are higher than using conventional learning models.

Abstract

The Ngalu Kemenakan tradition is a tradition that is carried out on the first child of a male tuo child. This tradition is carried out with several processes determined by the customs of Koto Dian Village, Hamparan Rawang District. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method where data is collected by observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis used in this study is ethnographic analysis from Clifford Geertz, data hermeneutics, interpreting data, and interpretatively represented. The results of this study reveal that the Ngalu Kemenakan Tradition contains values ​​of brotherhood and solidarity, social values ​​and mutual cooperation values. The Ngalu Kemenakan tradition still exists and is carried out by the people of Koto Dian Village because it has a symbolic meaning for the community. The meaning of the symbol of money for welfare, the meaning of the symbol of the first child in the form of the datiu's appreciation for his brother's first child after he was married and the meaning of the symbol of the roll of money wrapped around the datiu who gathers with friendship bonds. For the meaning of activity in the Ngalu Nephew Tradition, it can be seen in the activity of draping a necklace of money around the nephew's neck showing togetherness and family cohesiveness, eating together as a form of family gratitude during the Ngalu Nephew tradition and reading prayers as the closing of the series of events and thanks to God Almighty.

Abstract

Learning motivation, peer association and lecturer competence are factors that can affect student academic achievement. Based on an initial survey of 10 students in West Sumatra, it was found that 6 people had low academic achievement. This study aims to determine the factors that influence student academic achievement in West Sumatra Province in 2023. The research was conducted quantitatively using an analytic observational survey approach with a Cross Sectional design. The research aims to find out the relationship between learning motivation, peer association, lecturer competence and academic achievement in West Sumatra Province in 2023. This research was conducted in West Sumatra Province with students in tertiary institutions with 154 respondents. Data were analyzed with univariate and bivariate using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that more than half of the respondents had low academic achievement (32.5%), low learning motivation (50.6%), negative peer association (56.5%), incompetent lecturer competence (49.4%). Based on statistical tests, there is a significant relationship between learning motivation (p=0.000), peer association (p=0.001), lecturer competence (p=0.003) and academic achievement. The results of the study can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning motivation, peer association, lecturer competency and academic achievement. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that tertiary institutions can improve lecturer competency, increase student learning motivation and student peer association in order to increase student academic achievement.

Abstract

Current education is getting more challenges, one of which is that education takesplace in a setting made-up environment, since it should foster behavior which is useful for indivual ini the obtionfuture, not now. The purpose of this research is to find out what the concept of education world thought according to Buya HAMKA, so that it can be applied the contemporary world of education. This research used qualitative methods are used in this study, informan information, namely library research by collecting books written by HAMKA as primary data and other books that write about HAMKA as well written works in the form of journals, skrepstion,theses, and desertation to be studied and analysed to obtion conclution. In this research, the authors limit the studied and analyzed to obtain conclusion. I tfis stufy, the authors limit the research to only discussing and reviewing HAMKA’s concept of education word in Indonesia. Research shows that Buya Hamka’s concept of education world emphasizes maximum effort in personal growth and strengthening. From the result of this study, the authors structure the process of the emergence of Hamka’s thoughts, so that a common thread appears to be related to HAMKA education thoughts and their life jouney. Furthermore, the authot conducts analytical of study of HAMKA’s thoughts related to current conditions, so that the authors find the relevance of HAMKA world education thoughts to current conditions and in the end if this implemented it well be able to bring this nations to much better life.

Abstract

Understanding mathematical concepts is one of the objectives of learning mathematics so that this ability is expected to develop and improve. However, it was obtained that the understanding of mathematical concepts of grade X MIPA students was still low. The Student Facilitator And Explaining teaching model is expected to facilitate students in increasing their understanding of mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the understanding of mathematical concepts of students who learn with the Student Facilitator And Explaining learning model is better than the understanding of mathematical concepts of students who learn using conventional learning. The experimental research design used was Randomized Control Group Only Design. Sampling is done by Simple Random Sampling technique. The test conducted in this study is the t test, with the final conclusion obtained that the understanding of students' mathematical concepts using the Student Facilitator And Explaining Cooperative Learning Model is better than students' understanding of mathematical concepts using Conventional Learning.

Abstract

Education is the key in developing the nation's civilization. Every educational and learning process carried out is expected to instill good character in each student. Efforts to implement character education in the development of future society are a challenge for the world of education in Indonesia. Education will be the key to the progress of the nation's civilization in stemming the moral degradation it is experiencing. Character education has a higher meaning than moral education. Character education is not only related to the problem of right and wrong, but how to instill habits about the good things in life, so that students have high awareness and understanding, as well as concern and commitment to apply virtues in everyday life. This type of research is included in the type of Research and Development (Research and Development). Research and development methods are research methods used to produce products and test the effectiveness of certain products. To be able to produce certain products, research that is needs analysis is used and to test the effectiveness of these products so that they can function properly. The development of character-based learning tools for SD Class IV which was developed using the 4-D development model (four D Models), namely define, design, develop, and disseminate, the results are valid, practical and effective. Therefore it can be used as a learning guide for teachers and students at school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between learning delivery strategies on learning achievement in arts and crafts. This type of research uses a quantitative approach to the survey method. The population is fourth grade students at SDN Petir 4, Tangerang City, with a total of 80 students. The sample used was 40 students. The data collection technique consisted of even semester grade IV students at SDN Petir 4 and 30 items of learning delivery strategy statements using a Likert scale with 4 scales. To test the hypothesis, the correlation coefficient test was used to obtain a t_(table) value of 2.024. That the results of the t test for the learning delivery strategy obtained t_(count) = 2.200 > 2.024 with a significance of 0.00 <0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning delivery strategies on student achievement and the contribution of student learning delivery strategies of 11.2%. Thus a significant positive relationship between high learning delivery strategies means that student achievement will also be higher.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about the effect of giving gifts on the learning motivation of grade VIII students of SMP Al-Falah Pondok Melati in social studies subjects for the 2022/2023 school year. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental type. The subjects of this study were grade VIII students with a sample of 157 from 258 populations. Data collection techniques were taken using questionnaires with a Likert scale of 1-5. The instrument used was the attitude scale of giving gifts and social studies learning motivation. Testing the hypothesis of this research is to use descriptive analysis and simple regression analysis. From this study it can be seen that there is an effect of giving gifts on the learning motivation of class VIII students of SMP Al-Falah. From the statistical hypothesis it was concluded that there was an effect of giving gifts on learning motivation of 6.8% and rounded up to 7%.

Abstract

Based on the learning outcomes of STKIP Ahlusunnah Bukitgi geography students, it was found that the Adversity Quation and student learning outcomes were still very low. Adversity Quation average and student learning outcomes are still below the KKM. The purpose of this study was to describe and obtain information about increasing Adversity Quation and Learning Outcomes through the Problem Based Learning learning model for STKIP Ahlussunnah Bukittinggi students. This research is a classroom action research. The research procedure in this study includes planning, action, observation and reflection. This study consisted of two cycles with four meetings. The research subjects consisted of 32 geography students at STKIP Ahlusunnah Bukittinggi. Research data was collected using observation sheets and UTS. Data were analyzed using percentages. Based on the results of the research and discussion that have been put forward, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve Adversity Quation and student learning outcomes. Adversity Quation in cycle I was 72.46 (Enough), increased in cycle II, namely 82.03 (Good) so that it experienced an increase of around 9.57%. While student learning outcomes in cycle I was 74.72 (Enough), increased to 81.83 (Good) in cycle II with an increase of 7.11%.

Abstract

The world of education is currently facing many challenges. Both from the development of science and technology and global economic growth. Therefore, the world of education cannot be made just so it does not follow the applicable rules which are increasingly decreasing the level of quality of education itself. The world of education must be able to foster attitudes and behaviors that are useful for individuals for their future. On the other hand, what is faced by the world of education is where schools as institutions or institutions must be able to provide a pleasant atmosphere. School as an avertive, where students and teachers face various tasks that they must fulfill. Therefore, school-based management is needed which can support the implementation of various learning models and strategies to meet the needs of the curriculum and society. This research tries to find out how the application of the Rond Robin Brainstorming model with development strategies in Indonesian language subjects at SMA 1 Kamang Magek Agam district. This research tries to find out how efforts to apply learning models and learning strategies in an effort to achieve learning outcomes. This research was conducted in the 2023/2024 school year where the research subjects were 24 students and several teachers. This research was conducted in 3 cycles, of which cycle 1) planning, 2) action) and cycle 3) observation and then see if there is no reflection. Data collection techniques by conducting observations and questions. The first meeting with cycle 1 (one) got 64.62%, it can be said that 60% of the success rate. Cycle 2 (two) got 86.42% increased from the first cycle. Furthermore, in cycle 3 (three) got 92.74% almost 100% success in applying the Round Robin Brainstorming (RRB) model and development strategies in Indonesian language subjects. This shows that the research hypothesis can be accepted.
