Abstract

The purpose of this review is to determine the application of nurse therapeutic communication in various cultures. This review method uses an integrative review research methodology modified by Whittemore & Knafl in 2005. This research uses an Integrative Review design, using five databases, namely PubMed, Science Direct, ProQuest, Cochrane Library and DOAJ. Publication assessment uses critical appraisal designed by Bowling (2001). The results of the review showed that 5 articles were included in the analysis. Barriers to nurse communication were found, namely language differences, inadequate language translators, lack of education and communication training for nurses, fatigue and high nurse workload. Efforts to improve nurse communication include the need to improve communication and cultural skills as well as the need for translators/mediators to help nurses communicate with patients who come from different cultures. In conclusion, there were many obstacles found in nurse-patient communication originating from various cultures throughout the world so that a further cultural approach was needed to improve the quality of nurses' therapeutic communication. Abstract

This study aims to explore interventions to prevent the occurrence of multi-resistant organisms (MRO) in patients with blood pressure cuff placement in special care rooms. This research method uses the 2020 Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines with the Scopus, PubMed, CINAHL, and SAGE databases. The results of the study found five types of interventions namely disinfection and decontamination with alcohol, addition of hydrogen peroxide in the sterilization process, cuff design with a barrier between the skin and the cuff, education and training programs for medical personnel, and development of standard procedure protocols. In conclusion, interventions to prevent the occurrence of multi-organism resistance in patients with blood pressure cuff placement do not only focus on equipment, but the knowledge and standard of cleaning procedures owned by health workers need to be improved and developed. Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of technology on GERD patients. The research method used is a literature review through electronic databases and websites, namely Scopus—Science Direct, PubMed, ProQuest, and Sage. The research results showed that of the 20 articles, there were articles that reported that lifestyles such as smoking, high BMI, lack of exercise, eating at night, not eating breakfast, and lack of sleep were risk factors for GERD. Apart from that, GERD is a psychosomatic disease, namely a disease that also originates from the mind, where stress, anxiety, and depression are also closely related to the incidence of GERD. Some articles also report that technology can help patients treat and control their diseases. In conclusion, using technology on the lifestyle and stress levels of gastroesophageal reflux disease patients can help patients treat their condition. Keywords: GERD, Technology, Lifestyle, Stress

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the problem of stunting in Indonesia and analyze the relevant challenges and solutions in dealing with this problem in the new era. Stunting, which is defined as stunted growth in children under the age of five, has become a serious problem in Indonesia with long-term adverse effects on children's health and development. The method used is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that the stunting rate in Indonesia is still high, even though there has been a decline in recent years. The challenges faced in efforts to reduce stunting include long-term malnutrition, ineffective parenting styles, inadequate knowledge about balanced nutritional diets, lack of postpartum care, persistent infectious diseases in children, and poor sanitation. In facing this challenge, comprehensive and integrated solutions are needed, including specific and sensitive interventions, cross-sectoral approaches, empowering women, and making policies and programs that support stunting prevention. In conclusion, stunting in Indonesia remains a complex problem that requires coordinated cross-sector collaboration. In addressing this challenge in the modern era, a holistic and sustainable intervention strategy is needed to reduce the prevalence of stunting and ensure optimal growth and development of children in Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of five-finger hypnotherapy on cervical cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The method used is a systematic review of several databases such as Scopus, PubMed, ProQuest, and EBSCOHost to search for relevant articles. The results of the study show that a total of 10 pieces have been analyzed where there are several interventions in reducing anxiety in patients, one of which is using five-finger hypnotherapy, which has proven effective in reducing anxiety levels. In conclusion, giving a finger hypnotherapy intervention can reduce anxiety in cervical cancer patients before and after chemotherapy. Abstract

This study aims to find and discuss evidence based on digital-based pain management in patients with chronic diseases. The method used in this research is a systematic review that starts by identifying nursing problems, determining priority problems and research questions, searching for and identifying relevant research, and carrying out data extraction. The research results show four significant scopes of literature searches discussing chronic pain management: telehealth, applications, internet-based therapy, and virtual reality. The conclusion is that digital therapy can help reduce the pain felt by patients. This therapy can be beneficial in the long term because digital therapy is a therapy that is cheap, easy, and can be done anywhere without having to go to a health service. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the SBAR documentation form on nurse communication during patient handover. The method used is quasi-experimental, using a research design in the form of pre and post-test without control. The results showed an effect of implementing the SBAR documentation form on nurse communication during patient handover in the Bunda Thamrin General Hospital Medan inpatient room with an Asymp—Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.015. In conclusion, there has been an increase in SBAR-based nurse communication after implementing the SBAR documentation form. Therefore, it is recommended that hospital management be able to stimulate and provide rewards for nurses dedicated to realizing SBAR documentation and communication during patient handover. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between stress and parenting time with language development in children aged 3-5 years. The method used is a descriptive correlation with the cross-sectional approach. The results showed a significant relationship between stress and parenting time and the language development of children aged 3-5 years, where the p-values were 0.027 and 0.006. In conclusion, stress experienced by parents and non-parenting time is related to child development. So, it is suggested that health workers educate the growth and development of toddlers and practice relaxation techniques so that mothers can deal with stress independently. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparison of food diversity based on the Minimum Dietary Diversity for Women (MDDW) for women's reproductive health. The method used is quantitative with a cross-sectional study approach. The results showed differences in food diversity among women of childbearing age in Kutacane City and Lawe Loning Aman Village, Southeast Aceh District. In conclusion, women of childbearing age in Kutacane City consume a variety of foods from more than five food groups compared to women of childbearing age in Lawe Loning Aman Village, who are less diverse in achieving minimum food intake. Therefore, it is hoped that health workers will provide education regarding food diversity in realizing women's reproductive health. Keywords: Diversity of Food, Reproductive Health, Women
