Abstract

The significant tourism potential at Takari Beach must be managed well to attract tourists, including providing the crab apartment tourist attraction. Crab fattening activities using an apartment system at tourist locations can develop the mud crab (Scylla serrata) species. This is expected to increase visitor interest in educational tourism from the Takari Beach tourist destination. PKM activities aim to develop tourist attractions through the apartment system of fattening mangrove crabs (Scylla serrata) by KTH HKM Takari Bangka Belitung. This activity was carried out from May to November 2023 at Takari Beach, Rebo Village, Sungailiat District, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung. The method is carried out in a participatory manner that prioritizes the role and participation of the HKM Takari Manager as a supporter in the apartment system of mangrove crab fattening. The results show that the KTH HKM Takari Manager was given a business permit for forest utilization covering 59 Ha. Adding a tourist attraction in the form of mangrove crab (Scylla serrata) apartments on Takari Beach is an innovation the management can develop. Land preparation and construction of crab apartments was carried out over 3 months with 54 apartment boxes. The procurement of young mud crabs is managed by HKM Takari Management and purchased from fishermen who catch mud crabs, which are then fattened in the crab apartment. Measuring the length and weight of mud crabs, water quality, and substrate is very helpful in analyzing the growth and survival of mangrove crabs sustainably. Innovation in tourist attractions with apartment systems fattening mangrove crabs gives new enthusiasm to managers. The mangrove crab apartment tourist attraction is expected to support sustainable tourism management.

Abstract

Spice plants are increasingly promising profits because demand for spice commodities occasionally increases. The potential for abundant spice plants in Kesilir Village does not align with its less-than-optimal development. The sale of spices in Kesilir Village is carried out in fresh form directly to intermediaries without post-harvest handling, so the selling price is low, namely IDR 5,000/kg. Post-harvest handling is essential to produce safe and quality processed products, increasing their selling value. This service program aims to increase community knowledge regarding post-harvest handling practices for spice plants to improve the quality and quality of the harvest. The methods used are lectures, discussions (focus group discussions), and evaluation (pre-test and post-test). The partners for this service activity are residents of Kesilir village consisting of young women, housewives, mothers of PKK members, and community leaders. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in partners' knowledge after being given material related to post-harvest handling of spices. More than 80% of activity participants understood the objectives and good post-harvest handling techniques to be applied to spices. Furthermore, assistance and training are needed to develop processed spice products in Kesilir village as a follow-up activity.

Abstract

Mitra atau peserta pada kegiatan ini adalah ibu-ibu anggota PKK yang merupakan ibu rumah tangga sehingga memiliki waktu luang untuk melakukan kegiatan produktif. Kegiatan produktif yang dapat dilakukan adalah melakukan budidaya tanaman sayuran dengan teknik vertikultur menggunakan wall planter bag, kegiatan budidaya ini masih belum banyak dilakukan oleh mitra dikarenakan belum memperoleh informasi mengenai wall planter bag, sehingga tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan informasi sekaligus melakukan pelatihan atau praktik langsung budiaya tanaman sayuran dengan teknik vertikultur menggunakan wall planter bag yang nantinya dapat dipraktikkan langsung oleh mitra untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan keluarga, seperti yang diketahui bahwa tanaman sayuran merupakan tanaman yang memiliki kandungan gizi yang tinggi dan juga hasil panen dari budidaya yang dilakukan dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber penghasilan dengan cara menjual hasil panen sayuran tersebut mengingat sayuran merupakan kebutuhan bagi sebagian besar masyarakat. Metode kegiatan ini adalah memberikan informasi dan pelatihan atau mempraktikkan secara langsung kepada ibu-ibu anggota PKK bagaimana teknik budidaya vertikultur dengan menggunakan wall planter bag. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah melakukan kegiatan program kemitraan masyarakat sesuai dengan waktu yang telah disepakati adalah dapat diketahui bahwa ibu-ibu anggota PKK yang merupakan mitra kegiatan ini antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan dan aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan praktik budidaya yang dilakukan secara langsung setelah sebelumnya diberikan informasi mengenai kegiatan produktif yang dapat dilakukan dan menjelaskan apa itu wall planter bag kepada mitra. Diharapkan dengan adanya kegiatan pelatihan yang diberikan kepada ibu-ibu anggota PKK dapat menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan melakukan kegiatan budidaya menggunakan wall planter bag dengan memanfaatkan dinding luar rumah ataupun pagar rumah yang dimiliki.

Abstract

Community service is part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which must be implemented. As an aspect of their mandatory duties, all campus academics have an obligation to carry out community service. Community service can be carried out using various methods, models, strategies and service topics. One of these topics is strengthening or deepening basic physics material using teaching aids and based on the application of technology that is widely used. This activity was carried out with the aim of providing reinforcement of basic physics material for students at MAN 1 Selong, East Lombok Regency. This service is also aimed at introducing the use of microcontrollers as learning tools. The service is divided into three sub-stages, namely an introduction to material on quantities in physics, providing examples of cases of analysis of physical quantities, and simple training on operational methods for microcontrollers as data processing elements and temperature sensors. This stage is carried out using the Arduino IDE application. This activity provides benefits for students in increasing direct understanding regarding the temperature quantity which is a basic quantity, the unit conversion process, and the application of digital technology in measurement activities. Students are trained to apply Arduino IDE devices, Arduino UNO microcontrollers, and create basic programming with Arduino IDE. Students can also more easily measure temperature and other quantities using tools designed independently and display the results on the screen. Students are able to carry out temperature unit conversions manually and also through programming. The application of a microcontroller can make it easier for students to carry out data analysis. The results of this service can improve students' understanding of basic physics material. Students are able to use microcontrollers and design teaching aids.

Abstract

One potential area for development in the livestock subsector is beef cattle, including waste processing, which can provide income and contribute to improving community welfare. Waste originating from cow dung contains chemicals including NH3, NH, and other compounds. The people of West Tulabolo Village do not optimize the use of cow dung because they have a limited understanding of the negative impacts of environmental pollution caused by cow dung. The main objective of PKM activities is to increase farmers' understanding of waste management practices on zero-waste-based beef cattle farms. The various stages carried out in this PKM activity include observation, counseling, training, and evaluation. The target audience for this PKM partner is the wider community, with a special focus on farmers and beef cattle breeders in West Tulabolo Village. The participants were given an educational introduction to processing waste produced by beef cattle based on zero waste. In the context of this PKM activity, some of the learning material was disseminated theoretically so that it could provide additional knowledge for the community, and training activities in making organic fertilizer were continued. The participants showed high enthusiasm for participating in the training session. The participants had increased knowledge and skills related to management in the use of beef cattle manure waste. Analysis of the pre-test and post-test results shows that the counseling and training provided to the target audience has provided good results in terms of the application and utilization of zero waste-based livestock waste in the realm of science and technology as well as contributing to the rural economy.

Abstract

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) in Indonesia is an important foundation for building a better future generation. PAUD in Indonesia is currently growing rapidly because awareness of the importance of education grows from an early age. Based on reference data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), the number of children attending PAUD in Indonesia will increase to 11.6 million in 2022, and the proportion of enrollment of children aged 4 to 6 years will be 74.3% . According to article 1.14 in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 20 of 2003, PAUD education plays a very important role in the development of a child's personality and prepares them for the transition to the next level of education. PAUD implementation in Godean sub-district is under the Kapanewon Godean Yogyakarta Cluster Activity Center (PKG) where there are 61 members. In terms of implementing PAUD, it is hoped that the preparation of learning, monitoring and evaluation and management of learning activities can achieve good quality PAUD education, but in practice it has been supported by computers but not yet supported by information technology. The method of implementing this service is by providing training in Utilization of Google Workspace features and filling out online report cards for PAUD and FGD students.

Abstract

Tanggetada District, Kolaka Regency is an area that has potential marine fisheries resources. One fishery product that has potential is seagrass fish of the Katamba type (Lethrinus lentjan). Koperasi Produsen Pesisir Nelayan Sejahtera is one of the partners involved in fish processing. The main problem for members is the low level of knowledge and skills of the members of the Partners in the processing of fishery products. One of the fish processing products carried out is the production of fish floss. Fish threading is one of the fish processing activities that can increase the added value and shelf life of fish. The objective of this community service activity is to improve the skills and knowledge of the members of the Koperasi Produsen Pesisir Nelayan Sejahtera in processing fish independently to obtain a product, namely fish floss. This community service activity will be carried out in August 2023 in Anaiwoi Village, Tanggetada District, Kolaka Regency. The activity method is carried out in several stages, including observation stage, preparation stage, training stage, mentoring and evaluation. The result of this community service activity is an increase in the skills and knowledge of partners in making Katamba fish floss. Based on the results of the interview, the partner's skill level became 90% and the knowledge level increased 100% after training. Partners are able to make fish floss according to the materials and guidebook provided. The fish floss produced in this training activity is odorless and fishy, this is because the process of making fish floss complies with the quality standards for making fish floss (SNI 7690.2013). This community service activity is able to improve the skills and knowledge of partners in making catamba fish floss.

Abstract

The ease and speed of information provided by information technology have caused a gap between community expectations and the ability of the Tamansari Village Government, Bogor, to fulfill these expectations. First, the community expects fast information services from the village government. On the other hand, the Village Government is faced with the limited ability of village officials to provide information that can be conveyed quickly to the community. The Community Service Team intends to bridge this gap by improving the skills of Tamansari village officials, Bogor, in creating simple, engaging, and quickly distributed information. The method used is training in making infographics using the Canva application. As a result of this training, PKM partners, in this case, Tamansari Village officials, Bogor, were able to create infographics in the form of flyers regarding the requirements for processing Business Certificates (SKU) for Micro and Small Businesses. The flyers can then be distributed quickly via the WhatsApp application. With the skills to make information flyers, now Tamansari Village officials, Bogor can quickly convey information to community members. Thus, training in making infographics using the Canva application can be a solution to meeting citizens' expectations regarding the ease and speed of information services.

Abstract

In order to maintain West Nusa Tenggara as a national rice granary and participate in maintaining national rice self-sufficiency, it is necessary to introduce cultivation technology and superior varieties of red rice, namely Impago Unram I. The problem encountered by partner farmer groups is that they do not know about rice. Red rice variety Impago Unram I regarding benefits and cultivation technology. The method used in this program is a training method followed by practical work in the field and active participatory action research (participatory action research). The implementation period starts from February to May 2023. The activity stages include providing training for 1 day in Langgem Sari hamlet, Sama Guna village. Field laboratory practice (Demplot) regarding planting row legowo 4:1, using optimum seed age on a 10 acre land area owned by members of a farmer group. Evaluation to measure the success of this activity is carried out through participant responses when delivering theory/training, participant responses during field practice and observations in field laboratory plots. The results of the activity showed that members of the Langgem Sari farmer group in Sama Guna village understood the description of the Impago Unram I variety of red rice, the content and benefits of red rice for health, and understood the Red Rice Cultivation Technology using the Jajar Legowo 4:1 pattern as a result. counseling is carried out. Farmers are able to practice cultivating red rice of the Impago Unram I variety from seed soaking, seeding, planting, maintenance to harvest, through demonstration plot activities and mentoring. Farmers will plant red rice next season and it is hoped that the team will look for market opportunities.

Abstract

Al-Imam Al-Islami Islamic Boarding School (ponpes) located in Cikembar, Sukabumi, West Java is an educational institution. Al-Imam Al-Islam Islamic Boarding School has been established since 1994. One of the important activities at the Islamic boarding school is managing and issuing (generating) santri passports. Currently, Islamic boarding schools still experience several problems in managing and publishing report cards, including human error because they still use conventional methods using the Excel office application; and the process of issuing report cards is quite long because report card data is not stored in one place. Web application development is aimed at overcoming these problems, through the capability to minimize human error with management support in setting user access rights based on roles or assignments, centralized data storage, and support for the data recapitulation process to speed up the issuance of report cards. This application development method consists of nine stages, namely: (1) Problem Identification; (2) Literature Study; (3) Data Collection; (4) Needs Analysis; (5) Application Design; (6) Application Implementation; (7) Application Testing and Improvement; (8) Assistance in using the application; and (9) Preparation of Output Documentation. The result of this activity is an appropriate technology product in the form of a web application for managing and publishing Islamic boarding school report cards, accompanied by modules and handouts for users using instructions and technical management of the application. Based on test results and use by users, this application has made it easier for Islamic boarding schools to manage and publish Islamic boarding school report cards. As a community service activity, a web-based application for managing and publishing report cards has been adopted and utilized directly by Islamic boarding schools as user partners.
