Abstract

Ungga Village, Praya Barat Daya District, is a well-known silver craft center in Central Lombok. Featured products are: brooches, rings, studs, hairpins, suweng, pendants, bracelets and brooches-pendants. The jewelry is made from a combination of pearl shells which are shaped into oval, round, oblong, rectangular, triangular and half round shapes and then tied/framed with silver ornaments. PKM partner "Ungga Creative" with owner Mr Farid. The problem encountered in SMEs in the production sector is that the working position of the product polishing section is done by sitting cross-legged on the floor, so it is not comfortable for working conditions for more than 1 hour. The field of management is financial management that has not been organized so that business conditions cannot be analyzed as profit or loss. The PKM program provides a solution to SMEs for the inconvenience of working when polishing silver crafts, by designing and designing a polishing table that can be used comfortably and safely. Solutions for the field of financial management are carried out by providing training and assistance in financial management for SME owners. The steps that have been taken are designing a polishing machine based on ergonomic concepts using anthropometric data from employees. So you get the size of the silver craft polishing machine table which is designed with (dimensions: table height 60 cm, table top cover height 40 cm table length 75 cm table width 50 cm. Includes Flash-250C polishing grinder machine power 220/50 Hz 0, 25 HP 2870 rpm. The polishing machine has been handed over to PKM partners and has been able to increase partner productivity by up to 30% because the polishing process can be 2x faster than the previous work method.

Abstract

This service program is motivated by the abundance of local forage sources from legume types which have great potential to be created into feed for milk-producing goats. On the other hand, the low supply of nutrition in rural communities is an important issue causing stunting. In fact, it is understood that goat's milk has great potential as a source of animal protein for society. This service aims to provide assistance (technology transfer) for complete, nutrient-rich green protein-based feed which is highly available in Lombok, such as turi plants, lamtoro plants, moringa plants and pineapple skin waste which has great potential. The next goal is to organize agribusiness management which still appears to be not running optimally. Starting from team management to production management. The method for implementing this service includes the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method by making CRF a place for providing assistance in implementing complete feed and involving communities who are CV partners. CRF as many as 20 people to benefit from the program. The activity stages include the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages of the activity. The results of service activities show that there has been an increase in community knowledge and skills in understanding and making complete feed to increase goat milk productivity. Based on the results of feed experiments on goats, data was also obtained on an increase of 200 ml/head (previously only 500 ml/head increased to 700ml/head). Knowledge and skills regarding more effective and efficient management of dairy goat agribusiness will increase after participating in community service activities.

Abstract

Pelestari Lingkungan Buih Muara group is capable of producing round peeled coconut fruit and organic fertilizer from coconut husk waste. Currently, the partner sells coconut fruit commodities at fluctuating prices based on prevailing market rates. Meanwhile, the organic fertilizer processed from coconut husk waste is sold at a price of Rp. 10,000 per 20 Kg sack. Despite the substantial potential of coconut husk waste, it hasn't been optimally utilized. The solution provided involves disseminating the results of the Community Partnership Empowerment Program (PKM) through the provision of technological product grants: a coconut husk sorting machine and a processing machine, along with providing management and entrepreneurship training. The Community Partnership Empowerment activities are implemented using a participatory method where the success of the process depends on the active participation of partners. The dissemination of technology and the enhancement of technology utilization skills and business management are carried out together with the community as an integral part of the empowerment efforts. The dissemination within the community has yielded positive results, where the coconut husk sorting machine functions optimally, separating cocofiber and cocopeat effectively, which can be used as raw materials for derivative products. From 1 kg of raw material, the sorting machine separates 60% cocofiber and 40% cocopeat. The pressing machine operates at its maximum capacity in processing cocopeat into marketable products. Entrepreneurship management training has broadened the community's knowledge and skills in managerial activities. By utilizing the sorting and pressing machines, the partners are able to produce cocopeat and cocofiber products in various desired forms by consumers. There has been an increase in the market value of the final products derived from coconut husk waste.

Abstract

Cocos Nucifera or coconut plays an important role in the life of Indonesian coastal communities, including in Punjulharjo Village, Rembang, Central Java, which relies on coconut as an economic resource due to the presence of tourist activity on Karang Jahe Beach. However, this activity also leads to the accumulation of coconut waste which is an urgent, challenging environmental problem in waste management. The solution to such problems can be achieved through community creativity in creating eco-art from coconut bird waste, such as plant pots and pop-up books that depict the history and culture of the village. The process of making a ship's pot involves the use of special tools such as a gerinda machine, alteco glue, wooden beams, plots, and boardmarker to form a dry fence into a useful pot. While the pop-up book process itself is done using Adobe Illustrator to illustrate the discovery of cultural elements that it has. This solution will not only reduce the accumulation of coconut waste, but will increase the economic value of Punjulharjo Village. Ships serve as a tool to convey messages about people's relations with the sea and their maritime history. In addition, the pop-up book serves as an educational tool for tourists, enhancing their understanding of local history, culture, and village characteristics. This eco-art product offers substantial economic benefits and is a meaningful attraction for visitors. The use of eco-art-based coconut poultry waste can reflect a holistic approach to environmental conservation, cultural identity, education, and economic empowerment. These sustainable initiatives highlight the potential for positive change when dealing with environmental, cultural, and economic aspects together. For example, addressing waste issues, raising incomes, and promoting local cultural heritage, as well as preserving coastal ecology.

Abstract

Problematic nutrition, especially in children, is the forerunner to other, more serious problems, namely stunting. Meeting the nutritional needs of families is often hampered by the assumption that the food used must be expensive and difficult to obtain. In fact, these foods will be easier to obtain if you grow them yourself in your yard. So that it can be used as a nutritional garden that supports food independent families. The aim of this activity is to form community groups that use their yards to become nutritional gardens, process organic waste to be used in nutritional gardens so that food independence is formed at the household scale. The activity method begins with providing education on healthy and balanced nutrition as well as education on nutritional gardens and organic waste processing to achieve the activity objectives. Before education is carried out, a location survey and focus group discussion with partners are carried out. And participants' knowledge was measured using a posttest. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in participants' knowledge after providing education on balanced nutrition and health. This is proven by the results of the bivariate test analysis that has been carried out. Participants were enthusiastic and immediately put into practice the knowledge gained from educational activities. Through this activity, community groups have been formed who use their yards as nutritional gardens. Furthermore, community groups were formed that were able to process organic waste by utilizing kitchen waste to support nutritional gardens. As well as increasing public understanding about healthy and balanced nutrition. This can be a basis for preventing stunting in Sengkol Village. The conclusion of this activity is the formation of community groups that use yards as nutritional gardens, are able to process organic kitchen waste to support nutritional gardens, and increase community knowledge about healthy, balanced nutrition and the environment.

Abstract

Griya Melon Kendari UMKM has been established since 2019. Even though it has been around for a long time, the UMKM still uses traditional promotion and marketing methods. The promotion and marketing process for the product is still simple, with consumers who want to buy it coming to MSMEs to buy some of the hydroponic melon plants. Because of this, MSMEs cannot sell widely, even though this has been done in several locations in Kendari City. The aim of this PKM activity is to increase knowledge and skills in marketing innovations for hydroponic melon plants in greenhouses through the Facebook marketplace. The activity partner is UMKM Griya Melon Kendari. The activity was held on August 15, 2023, and was attended by 20 participants. Activity plan: (1) preparation stage (team meetings, partner meetings, and preparation of facilities and equipment); and (2) implementation stage Training using a demonstration approach method. The results of the pre-test evaluation showed that the training participants' knowledge and skills regarding marketing hydroponic melon plants via the Facebook marketplace were 50 percent. Meanwhile, the results of the post-test evaluation after the training activity on marketing hydroponic melon plants in greenhouses via the Facebook marketplace showed an increase of 90 percent among the training participants. The results of the activity show that the process of using the Facebook marketplace feature is very influential as a medium for promotion and marketing of hydroponic melon plant products. The implementation of the Facebook marketplace has greatly influenced the sales value of hydroponic plant products at Griya Melon Kendari MSMEs in Southeast Sulawesi. This is realized by taking steps to sell via the Facebook marketplace.
