Abstract

Job satisfaction is a critical factor influencing employee motivation and organizational outcomes, yet its role as a mediator between leadership, organizational support, and work motivation remains underexplored, particularly in developing economies. This study aims to examine how job satisfaction mediates the relationship between leadership styles, organizational support, and work motivation through a systematic literature review of empirical studies published between 2015 and 2024. The review analyzed 17 peer-reviewed articles selected from academic databases using predefined inclusion criteria, focusing on empirical studies involving job satisfaction as a mediator. Findings reveal that job satisfaction consistently serves as a psychological bridge, linking leadership styles, such as transformational and transactional, and organizational support to enhanced employee motivation, commitment, and performance, particularly in Southeast Asian contexts like Indonesia and Malaysia. The review highlights diverse industry settings, including hospitality and public services, emphasizing the broad applicability of the mediation model. This study concludes that job satisfaction is a pivotal mechanism for translating organizational strategies into positive employee outcomes, offering a framework for future research to explore causal pathways and cross-cultural variations in organizational behavior.

Abstract

Transformational leadership plays a vital role in enhancing employee career development by fostering motivation and professional growth in organizations. This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership on employee career development within a state-owned financial institution in Indonesia. Data were collected from 30 employees using a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale, designed to measure perceptions of leadership and career progression, and analyzed through statistical methods to test the relationship between variables. The findings reveal that transformational leadership, characterized by inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, idealized influence, and individual consideration, significantly enhances employees’ skills, career advancement, and motivation. Leaders who provide personalized support and a clear vision create a supportive environment that aligns individual aspirations with organizational goals. In conclusion, transformational leadership is a key driver of career development, offering practical insights for improving leadership practices in financial institutions. Organizations should invest in training programs to cultivate transformational leadership skills, ensuring sustained employee growth and organizational success. This study highlights the importance of effective leadership in addressing career development challenges and fostering a motivated workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and ownership structure on bank value, with Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) as a mediating variable, in the context of climate-conscious banking in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was used with panel data from 10 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2015–2024. The analysis was conducted using panel data regression and mediation tests. The results show that ownership structure has a significant positive effect on bank value, both directly and indirectly through a decrease in NPLs. This finding confirms that NPLs have a strong negative effect on bank value (measured by Price to Book Value/PBV) and act as a partial mediator. Conversely, ESG factors have no significant effect on NPLs or PBV, indicating that ESG implementation in Indonesian banks is still symbolic and has not yet had a tangible impact. The implications of this study are the importance of strengthening governance and risk management through ownership oversight, as well as the need for more concrete ESG implementation to improve the performance and long-term resilience of the banking sector.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how carbon trading activities and other financial factors collectively influence firm value in a business context that is increasingly concerned with sustainability issues. This study is quantitative, employing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis using Smart PLS 3.0. The population and sample comprise consumer goods manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2022. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 131 companies. Data were collected through annual financial reports obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange and their official websites. This study consists of independent variables and dependent variables. The results show a significant negative relationship between carbon trading activities and firm value. This means that the more active a company is in carbon trading, the lower its firm value. There is a significant positive relationship between firm size and firm value. Larger companies tend to have higher firm values. There is a significant positive relationship between profitability and firm value. More profitable companies tend to have higher firm values. There is no significant relationship between leverage and firm value.

Abstract

Indonesia’s healthcare system is undergoing a digital transformation through the integration of the Hospital Management Information System and the national health insurance platform. These systems aim to enhance operational efficiency and healthcare access but face challenges in specialized settings like military dental hospitals. This study examines the impact of integrating these systems on employee performance and service quality at the Dental and Oral Hospital of the Indonesian Navy R.E. Martadinata in Jakarta. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through literature reviews and institutional observations to identify operational and systemic barriers. The findings highlight issues such as limited digital literacy among staff, inconsistent system use, and administrative delays that hinder optimal service delivery and efficiency. These challenges are intensified by the unique operational context of military hospitals. The study concludes that improving the integration of these systems requires targeted staff training, robust digital infrastructure, and cohesive policy support to align technology with institutional needs and patient-centered care priorities, ultimately enhancing service quality and employee performance in specialized healthcare settings.

Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprises are vital for economic growth but face challenges in adopting digital transformation due to limited resources. This study aims to explore how digital platforms enable these enterprises to achieve entrepreneurial renewal by developing a process-oriented model. Through a systematic literature review of 50 peer-reviewed studies published between 2010 and 2024, the research examines the role of digital platforms in fostering agility, experimentation, and capability-building across various sectors and regions. Findings reveal that internal drivers, such as entrepreneurial mindset and organizational learning, combined with external support from digital ecosystems and government policies, facilitate transformation. However, barriers like financial constraints, skill shortages, and infrastructural gaps hinder progress, particularly in rural or traditional enterprises. The study proposes a four-stage model Awareness and Motivation, Experimentation and Adoption, Reconfiguration and Scaling, and Strategic Renewal to guide enterprises through iterative transformation. This model emphasizes the dynamic interplay of internal capabilities and external opportunities. In conclusion, the framework offers a structured approach for small and medium-sized enterprises and policymakers to navigate digital transformation, addressing resource constraints and fostering sustainable innovation in diverse contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the adoption of digital marketing applications by food and beverage Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, specifically targeting Generation Z consumers. The objectives include identifying internal and external factors influencing digital adoption, understanding Gen Z digital behavior and its impact on MSME marketing strategies, exploring the forces and drivers of sustained digital engagement, and promoting a framework linking MSME capabilities, digital platform features, and Gen Z expectations. Using qualitative, literature-based descriptive research, this study reviewed relevant publications covering the years 2018 to 2025. Findings indicate that although MSMEs are increasingly using platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp Business, they often face challenges such as limited digital skills, time constraints, and financial resources. Gen Z's demand for personalized, fast, and interactive content forces MSMEs to adapt their marketing strategies through storytelling, influencer engagement, and peer-driven content. However, inconsistent use and a lack of strategic planning remain significant barriers. This study advances the digital entrepreneurship literature by examining the relationship between MSME behavior and Gen Z digital culture and provides practical insights for MSMEs and policymakers.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of digital marketing, tourist attractions, and tourism services on tourist satisfaction, loyalty, and word of mouth, with brand trust as a mediating variable. A survey of 255 visitors to Mount Dempo, South Sumatra, was conducted using a quantitative approach and analyzed with the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. The results indicate that digital marketing, attractions, and services significantly influence brand trust and satisfaction, which in turn drive loyalty and positive word of mouth. Furthermore, brand trust mediates the relationship between the three exogenous variables and the outcome variables, highlighting its strategic role in building long-term tourist loyalty. These findings support the Expectancy–Disconfirmation Theory, emphasizing the importance of aligning digital narratives with on-site experiences. The study contributes to both theory and practice by demonstrating the integrated role of digital promotion, attraction development, and service quality in fostering trust-based sustainable tourism. Keywords: Digital marketing, tourist attractions, tourism services, brand trust, satisfaction, loyalty, word of mouth, SEM-PLS
