Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa ditinjau dari kemandirian belajar pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pencapaian Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) dikarenakan kurangnya kemandirian belajar pada siswa. Setelah pembelajaran yang menekankan pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kreatif, terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar, dengan 65,38% siswa mencapai kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode korelasional untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket kemandirian belajar dan tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemandirian belajar tinggi memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis yang baik (rata-rata 12,5), memenuhi indikator fluency, flexibility, dan originality. Siswa dengan kemandirian sedang cukup kreatif (rata-rata 9,75), tetapi perlu bimbingan. Siswa dengan kemandirian rendah (rata-rata 5) kurang kreatif dan kesulitan menghasilkan ide.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of learning motivation on students mathematics learning outcomes, to find out the influence of self-confidence on students mathematics learning outcomes, and to find out the influence of learning motivation and self-confidence on students mathematics learning outcomes of grade SMP Negeri 5 Praya academic year 2023/2024. This type of research was ex post facto. The population of this research were all students of  grade as many as 86 students consisting of 3 classes, namely class VIII-1, VIII-2 and VIII-3. The sample uses was sample of saturation or total sampling where the entire population was sampled in this research. Data collection techniques in this research using questionnaire and test question. The instrument of this research was in the form of a learning motivation questionnaire, self-confidence questionnaire, and a test question of students mathematics learning outcomes of grade SMP Negeri 5 Praya. From the data analysis obtained, there was not significant influence of learning motivation on students mathematics learning effect of grade SMP Negeri 5 Praya. Then for self-confidence there was found an inflence on students mathematics learning effect of grade SMP Negeri 5 Praya with the coefficient of determination of 7,3%. The results of data analysis also showed that was a significant effect between student learning motivation and self-confidence on students mathematics learning effect of grade SMP Negeri 5 Praya with the coefficient of determination of 7,4%.

Abstract

This study proposes to improve students' learning activities and learning outcomes math in class X.12 SMAN 2 Mataram in the academic year 2023/2024. The type of this research is class action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data on student learning activities were obtained through observation, and data on student learning outcomes were obtained through evaluation tests at the end of each cycle. The learning activities of students in cycle I were in the active category, then increased in cycle II with a very active category. As for the learning outcomes of students, there was also an increase in the percentage of students' classical completeness in cycles I and II, which were 75% and 86%, respectively. Therefore, it can be concluded that implementing the problem-based learning model aided by Liveworksheet on subject statistics can increase the activity and learning outcomes math of students in the class X.12 SMAN 2 Mataram in the academic year 2023/2024.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on student activity and learning achievement. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel during the 2022/2023 academic year. This is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental approach using a posttest-only non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study consists of all eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel for the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample includes 30 students from class VIII A and 30 students from class VIII C, which serve as the experimental and control groups, respectively, selected based on the similar or homogeneous abilities of both classes. Data on student activity and learning achievement after the treatment were collected using questionnaires and tests. Quantitative data analysis was performed using multivariate Hotelling's T² test, followed by Bonferroni t-tests, and then an independent samples t-test. The three statistical tests yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0), indicating a significant difference in the mean scores between the two groups in terms of student activity and learning achievement, both simultaneously and separately. The results of the study show that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model has an impact on student activity and learning achievement in the topic of linear equations for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel during the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of students. This research aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes using the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach with the Problem-Based Learning model. The TaRL approach is a teaching method based on students' ability levels. The main subjects of this research are cube and rectangular prism in cycle 1, prism in cycle 2, and pyramid in cycle 3. The research was conducted from March to May 2024 in class VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Mataram. The type of research is Classroom Action Research with three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The data collection techniques in this research used observation activities and learning outcome tests. The results of this research showed an improvement in mastery learning outcome in each cycle, with mastery learning in Cycle I at 55.882%, Cycle II at 70.588%, and Cycle III at 85.294%. This indicates that the TaRL approach can be used to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to implement probability learning media based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) at SMA Swasta PAB 8 Saentis Percut. The problem addressed is students' difficulties in understanding the abstract and complex concept of probability. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, involving observation, interviews, and student satisfaction surveys. The results show significant improvement in students' understanding of probability concepts, as well as increased motivation and active participation in learning. In conclusion, RME-based learning media effectively helps students contextualize and apply probability, enhancing engagement and facilitating deeper understanding.

Abstract

Mathematical communication skills are students' ability to process vocabulary, notation and mathematical structures both in the form of reasoning, representation and problem solving in mathematics. This research aims to describe the mathematical communication skills of class VIII A students of SMP Negeri 2 Pringgarata in the 2023/2024 academic year with high and low self-confidence. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. The research results showed that (1) students with high self-confidence are able to interpret mathematical ideas in writing both in the form of reasoning, representation, and solving mathematical problems using appropriate mathematical terms and are able to fulfill all indicators of mathematical communication, namely presenting symbols, creating mathematical models, and write. (2) Students with low self confidence are only able to create mathematical models. Students with low self-confidence are not yet able to interpret mathematical ideas in writing either in the form of reasoning, representation, or solving mathematical problems using appropriate mathematical terms.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the adaptive reasoning skill of students in solving mathematical problems based on the artisan, idealists, guardian and rational personality types. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The subjects of this research were 29 students in class VIIID of SMP Negeri 2 Labuapi for the 2024/2025 academic year. The interview subjects were 8 consistin, of 2 students with artisan personality type, 2 students with idealists personality type, 2 students with guardian personality type, and 2 students with rational personality type. The instruments used were personality type questionnaires, adaptive reasoning skill tests and interviews. The results of the analysis and discussion in this study indicate that students with artisan personality type have high adaptive reasoning skill, meeting five indicators of adaptive reasoning skill, namely making conjectures, providing reasons for answers, finding patterns, checking the truth of an argument, and drawing conclusions. Students with idealists’ personality type have high adaptive reasoning ability, meeting three indicators of adaptive reasoning skill, namely making conjectures, providing reasons for answers, and drawing conclusions. Students with guardian personality type have low adaptive reasoning skill and cannot meet the five indicators of adaptive reasoning skill. Students with rational personality type have moderate adaptive reasoning skill, meeting one indicator of adaptive reasoning skill, namely providing reasons for answers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how learning independence and critical thinking influence the mathematics learning outcomes of grade 8th students at SMP Negeri 1 Mataram in academic year 2023/2024. This research is a quantitative with a research approach with an ex-post facto method. The population of this research was 402 students in grade 8th at SMP Negeri 1 Mataram. The sample size was 75 students who were determined using cluster random sampling techniques. The instruments in this research used an learning independence questionnaire, an critical thinking questionnaire, and a mathematics learning outcomes test in the form of essay questions. Data was analyzed using linear regression analysis it was found that there is a joint positive and significant relation between learning independence and critical thinking on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade 8th at at SMP Negeri 1 Mataram in academic year 2023/2024 with the regression equation. The correlation coefficient value is 0,875, that means to have a strong influence and contribution to learning outcomes is 76,5%.

Abstract

This study aims to identify learning barriers experienced by students in trigonometric equation material. The type of research used is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class XI SMAN 5 Mataram. Data collection used were tests, observations, interviews, and document studies. The data analysis technique used is according to Miles and Huberman consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results obtained are that students experience ontogenic, epistemological, and didactic learning barriers. Instrumental ontogenic barriers, namely students are still hampered by key things in trigonometric equation material, students do not understand the meaning of k well in the trigonometric equation formula. Epistemological barriers, namely, students are constrained by prerequisite material, and students also experience limited context in solving the questions given. Didactic barriers are that students only follow what has been taught by the teacher during the learning process. This study can be a basis for making didactic designs so that learning can occur according to the objectives.
