Abstract

The mathematics teaching materials used by teachers today are still printed teaching materials provided by the government. As a result, it is ineffective to improve students' learning outcomes because they seem discouraged and bored while learning. Thus, it is important to design teaching materials that utilize technological developments so that they are easily accessible to students to learn mathematics anytime and anywhere. This study aims to design a valid E-Module with an Open Ended approach based on Gambyong Dance Ethnomathematics on grade VIII SPLDV material. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) research methodology with the ADDIE development model which is limited to the analysis, design and development stages. The data analysis techniques used include needs analysis, media expert validation analysis and material experts. This study produced an E-Module design along with the results of E-Module validation from media experts with an average assessment of 3.5 which is classified as a valid category and material experts with an average assessment of 3.6 which is classified as a valid category. The average combined E-Module assessment from media experts and material experts obtained a score of 3.54 in the valid category. This shows that the E-Module design is feasible to be tested on students during math learning.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach which aims to determine Mathematical Reasoning Ability in terms of students' Self efficacy regarding Circle Equation Material at SMA Negeri 13 Bone class XII MIPA. The data processed is the result of interviews with 1 (one) student who has high self-efficacy, 1 (one) student who has moderate self-efficacy, 1 (one) student who has low self-efficacy. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and mathematical reasoning ability tests. The results of this study show that students' Self efficacy influences the Mathematical Reasoning ability of students at SMA Negeri 13 Bone. Based on the interview results, subjects who have high self-efficacy can complete five of the five indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, subjects who have moderate self-efficacy can complete three of the five indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, subjects who have low self-efficacy can complete two of the five indicators of reasoning ability mathematics, which means that the better the students' self-efficacy, the better their mathematical reasoning abilities will be.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students in class VIII-H by implementing a cooperative learning model integrated with technology. This is a classroom action research that conducted in 3 cycles, focusing on improving student learning outcomes. The data collection techniques were obtained through tests and observations. The research findings indicate improved mathematics learning outcomes of VIII-H students at SMPN 1 Mataram following the implementation of a cooperative model with technology integration. The improvement is clear from the average scores recorded in each cycle. In the first cycle, the average score was 63.29, with a classical completeness rate of 44.74%. In the second cycle, the average score increased to 71.97, and the classical completeness rose to 73.68%. By the third cycle, the average score further improved to 84.61, resulting in a classical completeness of 84.21%. This improvement can be attributed to the student's success in completing the tests given during the learning process, which was enhanced by integrating technology in the form of PowerPoint, Geogebra, and Quizizz. The results of this study conclude that the cooperative model with technology integration can enhance students' mathematics learning outcomes

Abstract

Mathematical Modelling is an essential tool in various aspects of Food Science, particularly in addressing complex challenges such as production process optimization, shelf-life prediction, food waste management, and food safety assurance. This article aims to provide an in-depth analysis of research trends in Mathematical Modelling within Food Science during the 2014–2024 period, based on 350 documents indexed in Scopus. A bibliometric approach was employed using VOSviewer to map keyword relations, collaboration patterns among researchers, and geographical distribution of studies. The results revealed four main clusters of research topics: food safety and disease (Blue Cluster), sustainability and environmental issues (Red Cluster), prediction and process optimization (Yellow Cluster), and technology and innovation in food processing (Green Cluster). These findings underline the critical role of Mathematical Modelling in tackling global food challenges. This article provides recommendations to expand international collaborations and explore artificial intelligence integration in Mathematical Modelling research for food in the future. Abstract

Berpikir komputasioal adalah kemampuan untuk memecahkan masalah melalui prinsip komputasi yang penting dikuasai mahasiswa. Salah satu masalah matematika yang sering kali menuntut mahasiswa untuk berpikir secara komputasional adalah masalah-masalah yang berkaitan dengan program linear dalam mencari solusi optimal permasalahan yang memiliki kendala-kendala tertentu. Beberapa metode penyelesaian masalah program linear antara lain metode simpleks, metode dualitas, dan metode pemrograman dinamis. Metode simpleks menggunakan konsep iterasi dan pertukaran variabel untuk menemukan solusi optimum. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir komputasional mahasiswa dalam mengaplikasikan metode simpleks pada penyelesaian masalah program linear. Metode penelitian ini menggunaka deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek yang dilibatkan adalah 16 mahasiswa semester III Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika.  Teknik analisis dilakukan melalui tahapan antara lain reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan mahasiswa dalam melakukan penyelesaian masalah matematika hanya dapat memenuhi indikator dekomposisi dan pengenalan pola. Artinya mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan yang terbatas pada tahap penyederhanaan masalah dan menyusun strategi penyelesaian. Shingga pencapaian indikator tersebut menjadi dasar bahwa mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan berpikir komputasional yang rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model kooperatif Tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) pada pembelajaran bilangan berpangkat terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Mataram tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental design dengan posttest-only control design. Populasi penelitian siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Mataram, sampel penelitian kelas VIIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIIIB sebagai kelas kontrol yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian: 1) hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa t_hitung>t_tabel, artinya H_a diterima dan H_0 ditolak, maka terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, 2) hasil uji effect size diperoleh 1,03547 yang termasuk dalam kategori efek besar, 3) rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen 72,64 dan kontrol 61,11, artinya rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata nilai kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan model kooperatif Tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) pada pembelajaran bilangan berpangkat terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Mataram tahun pelajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh literasi numerasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi peluang kelas VIII SMPN 1 Aikmel tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 248 orang siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Aikmel tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Adapun sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 71 orang siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes literasi numerasi dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rara-rata siswa memiliki kemampuan bepikir kritis sedang. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata siswa memiliki kemampuan literasi numerasi sedang.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi linear sederhana diperoleh persamaan regresi yakni Y . Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan literasi numerasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi peluang kelas VIII SMPN 1 Aikmel tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan kontribusi pengaruh yang diberikan sebesar 82%. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya agar meneliti terkait faktor-faktor yang lain yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis, baik faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the problem solving learning model on the mathematical problem-solving ability of grade VIII students of SMPN 1 Sakra. This type of research is an experiment with a posttest only control design to measure students' problem-solving skills. The research sample consisted of two randomly selected classes, namely class A (experiment) taught with a problem-solving learning model and class B (control) with a direct learning model. The results showed that the average posttest score in the experimental class was 75.06 higher than that of the control class which was 66.72, as well as the completeness of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. The average was significantly different because the results of the t-test with an independent sample were obtained  at a significant level of 5%. The results of the effect size test obtained were 0,54 (in the medium category), showing that the problem solving model was quite effective in improving students' mathematical problem solving skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash to improve student motivation and learning outcomes that are valid, practical, and effective. This research and development study uses the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of the study are eighth-grade students at MTs Al-Aziziyah Putra Gunungsari. Data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods regarding the validity of the learning media, which was obtained from validation sheets, the practicality of the learning media, which was obtained from questionnaires filled out by students and teachers regarding the learning media, and the effectiveness of the learning media, which was obtained from questionnaires on student motivation and pretest and posttest results.The results of the study indicate that: (1) the interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash developed in this study is valid, with an average validation score of 0.82, categorized as very valid; (2) the interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash developed is practical, with an average practicality score of 90.32%, categorized as very practical; (3) the interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash developed is effective, as seen from the increase in student motivation with an N-gain score of 76.5%, categorized as high. Additionally, there was an improvement in student learning outcomes with an N-gain score of 56.11%, categorized as moderate. Therefore, the interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash is suitable for enhancing student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the leadership role of the Principal in improving teacher professionalism at SMPIT Bukit Quran Nusantara Mataram, with a focus on implementing the qualification standards for Integrated Islamic School teachers. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive field research design, this research collected primary data from interviews with ten respondents—a school principal and nine teachers—as well as secondary data from various related documents. The research results show that a minimum academic qualification of Bachelor's degree, involvement in Islamic Personal Development (BPI), and memorizing the Al-Qur'an are essential qualifications maintained by the Principal to increase teacher professionalism. In addition, the Principal participates in developing teachers' pedagogical, professional, social and social piety competencies through regular training and reflection, which supports the achievement of quality education based on Islamic values. The data analysis technique used is an interactive model which involves data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions to ensure the validity of the research results.
