Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan jasa layanan yang bergerak dalam bidang logistik dan pengiriman barang yang baik export maupun impor, namun dari jasa layanan bongkar muat barang terjadi penurunan signifikan selama 3 tahun terakhir, untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan penurunan muatan kargo pada PT. XYZ serta merumuskan strategi pengembangan usaha yang tepat dengan menggunakan metode SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) dan QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix). Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif melalui pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, observasi, serta penyebaran kuesioner kepada 18 responden yang merupakan perwakilan perusahaan pelanggan PT. XYZ. Sementara data sekunder diperoleh dari dokumen internal perusahaan dan literatur pendukung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan dengan analisis matriks SWOT dan QSPM, bahwa alternatif strategi yang menjadi priorotas yang perlu diterapkan adalah strategi menambah fasilitas gudang bongkar muat dengan total nilai AS:76 dan Nilai TAS:7,43, kemudian strategi prioritas berikutnya adalah meningkatkan kualitas layanan serta kecepatan bongkar muat, yang memperoleh nilai AS: 70 dan TAS: 7,05

Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah kendaraan bermotor di Kota Payakumbuh berdampak pada menurunnya kinerja lalu lintas, khususnya di kawasan simpang bersinyal. Salah satu titik permasalahan adalah Simpang Kasda Jalan Soekarno Hatta dan Jalan Veteran yang kerap mengalami tundaan dan antrian panjang pada jam sibuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kondisi eksisting, mengevaluasi alternatif optimasi, serta memprediksi kinerja simpang hingga tahun 2029. Data diperoleh melalui survei lapangan meliputi volume lalu lintas, kecepatan, waktu siklus sinyal, dan kondisi geometrik. Pemodelan dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak PTV Vissim dengan kalibrasi dan validasi menggunakan uji Geoffrey E. Havers (GEH). Hasil analisis menunjukkan kondisi eksisting berada pada tingkat pelayanan LOS C dengan rata-rata antrian 31,43 meter dan tundaan 32,48 detik/kendaraan. Dua alternatif optimasi diuji, yaitu penyesuaian waktu sinyal dan penghapusan parkir on street. Alternatif kedua menghasilkan kinerja terbaik dengan peningkatan pelayanan menjadi LOS B, rata-rata antrian 10,49 meter, dan tundaan 14,42 detik/kendaraan. Prediksi hingga tahun 2029 menunjukkan tanpa optimasi simpang menurun menjadi LOS E, sedangkan dengan penerapan alternatif kedua, kinerja dapat dipertahankan pada LOS C.

Abstract

The microplate incubator is an essential electromedical device designed to maintain optimal conditions during the incubation of blood samples, particularly in clinical laboratory examinations. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) in a microplate incubator integrated with the Blynk application to improve the effectiveness of temperature and time control throughout the incubation process. The research method involved designing a microcontroller-based system equipped with a temperature sensor and wireless communication module, enabling real-time monitoring and remote control via Blynk. Performance testing was conducted by comparing temperature stability and timing accuracy between the IoT-based incubator prototype and a conventional incubator. The results demonstrated that the IoT system successfully maintained incubation temperature within a stable range, with deviations of less than ±0. 5°C, and provided remote accessibility for users. Therefore, the integration of IoT through Blynk in a microplate incubator enhances accuracy, efficiency, and user convenience in electromedical device development, with potential to support the digitalization of clinical laboratory services in the future.

Abstract

Welding is an important process in the shipbuilding industry that affects the strength and safety of ship structures. At PT BVS, the Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) process still produces a high defect rate, particularly types of defects such as porosity, slag inclusion, undercut, root concavity, and lack of fusion. Based on data from January to May 2025, the reject rate reached 56%, far exceeding the company's standard of 10%. This study aims to identify the types and causes of defects in FCAW welding, as well as provide improvement proposals using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method. The analysis show that the three causes with the highest RPN values come from human factors, methods, and machines. Improvement proposals include operator training, preparation of welding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), regular equipment condition checks, and adjustment of welding parameters. The implementation of these improvement proposals is expected to reduce the defect rate, improve the quality of welding results, and minimize rework costs and production delays. This study provides practical contributions for companies in enhancing welding quality and serves as a reference for quality control in the shipbuilding industry.

Abstract

Metaphorical architecture translates cultural and natural phenomena into readable spatial narratives. This article develops a framework of five variables—source metaphor, key attributes, domain transfer, spatial narrative, and symbolic legibility—synthesized from comparative precedent studies (Libeskind’s Jewish Museum Berlin and the Aceh Tsunami Museum) and applies it to the design of the Painan Maritime Museum in West Sumatra. Local sources such as the traditional pincalang boat, Indian Ocean waves, and communal fishing activities are transformed into a ship-oriented elongated mass, undulating façade, net-patterned secondary skin, and sequential linear circulation forming a symbolic “voyage”: embarkation, tension, climax, reflection, and epilogue. The analysis reveals a balance between iconic legibility and conceptual depth, enabling visitors to intuitively perceive local maritime identity. This study contributes to the development of a transferable design methodology for metaphor-based museums and provides contextual site recommendations for the coastal landscape of Carocok Beach, Painan.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the risk of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) during manual material handling activities at Firm DCF's warehouse. Tasks such as lifting, moving, and arranging goods manually can cause risk due to non-ergonomic postures. The research began with observation and Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaires, followed by posture analysis using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) methods. The results indicate that the highest risk occurs during receiving and picking activities, with REBA scores of 11 and RULA scores of 7. This result shows the need for immediate corrective action. The primary contributing factors are bending postures, heavy loads, and repetitive movements. Recommended improvements include providing training on proper lifting techniques, using mechanical aids such as hand pallets or trolleys, and adjusting rack heights to match optimal reach distances. Implementing ergonomic risk principles is expected to reduce injury risks, enhance work comfort, and sustain productivity among warehouse employees at PT DCF.

Abstract

In the Mentawai Islands Regency, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia, during the 2019–2024 period, five road construction projects with contract values exceeding five billion rupiah (non-small qualified contractors) experienced critical delays that resulted in contract termination. The study aims to identify the factors causing delays in road construction projects that resulted in contract termination in the Mentawai Islands Regency, as well as to analyze the most influential dominant factors. The research method used a quantitative approach with a questionnaire instrument distributed to 127 respondents consisting of owners, consultants, and contractors. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, while data analysis was carried out using SPSS software with multivariate statistical methods. The results of the study indicate that there are ten main factors that influence delays in road construction projects resulting in contract termination, namely managerial factors (11.087%), labor (9.164%), equipment (8.903%), supply chain management (7.953%), financial (7.505%), design (7.370%), weather and natural disasters (6.494%), geography and environment (5.128%), procurement of materials (4.506%), and payment (4.107%). The dominant factor causing delays in road construction projects resulting in contract termination in the Mentawai Islands is managerial factors with a contribution of 11.087%.

Abstract

Proses milling muka pada pemotongan logam merupakan aktivitas penting dalam industri manufaktur untuk dapat menghasilkan suatu produk. Salah satu parameter dari hasil proses tersebut adalah kekasaran permukaan yang berperan penting pada umur pakai komponen mekanik. Di sisi lain, baja amutit dengan standar AISI O1 banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai komponen mekanik untuk punch dan dies karena sifat mampu mesinnya yang sangat baik. Maka, pada penelitian ini dilakukan penerapan variasi parameter selama proses milling muka dalam kondisi basah dan kering pada mesin Computer Numerical Control (CNC) untuk menghasilkan komponen mekanik baja amutit dengan kekasaran yang lebih baik. Parameter yang dipilih pada prosesnya meliputi putaran spindel, kecepatan pemakanan, dan kedalaman pemakanan. Proses milling muka dilakukan pada beberapa spesimen baja amutit menggunakan insert carbide cutter pada kondisi yang berbeda. Selanjutnya, data kekasaran permukaan (Ra) dievaluasi menggunakan metode signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) dan analysis of variance (ANOVA). Hasil pemotongan proses milling muka baja amutit dalam kondisi basah dan kering memiliki perbedaan nilai kekasaran permukaan. Adapun parameter pemotongan yang berperan besar dalam menghasilkan nilai kekasaran permukaan optimum antara lain spindle speed pada 2250 rpm, feed rate 180 mm/menit dan kondisi basah. Dengan demikian, proses milling muka basah pada baja amutit dengan penerapan parameter tersebut dapat menciptakan kualitas produk yang tinggi dan ekonomis.

Abstract

Infrared therapy is widely used in medical rehabilitation; however, uncontrolled temperature, distance, and duration may reduce its effectiveness and increase patient risk. This study aims to implement a Smart Infrared Therapy system based on the ESP8266 microcontroller, integrating the MLX90614 temperature sensor, the HC-SR04 distance sensor, and the Blynk IoT platform to enhance safety and precision. The system is designed to monitor skin surface temperature and patient distance in real-time, control therapy duration through an automatic timer, and provide immediate notifications when safety thresholds are exceeded. Abstract

Landmarks play a vital role in shaping the city’s image as orientation markers and visual identity elements. Pekanbaru, the capital of Riau Province, has experienced rapid development that produced many iconic buildings, yet systematic studies based on public perception remain limited. This research aims to identify the main landmarks of Pekanbaru City and analyze the visual characteristics influencing their legibility. A mixed-method approach was applied through field observation, visual documentation, and a questionnaire survey involving 150 purposively selected respondents. Descriptive and statistical analyses using SmartPLS were conducted to examine relationships among visual perception variables (singularity, location, uniqueness, memorable) and landmark recognition. The findings reveal that An-Nur Grand Mosque, Soeman HS Library, and the Riau Governor’s Office are the most recognized landmarks. Location and memorable factors have significant positive effects, while uniqueness shows a negative influence. The study emphasizes that enhancing landmark design and spatial arrangement strengthens urban navigation and visual identity in Pekanbaru.
