Abstract

The results of a pre-survey at SMA Negeri 1 Kotagajah found several problems, namely only about 50% of students in the class focused on taking biology lessons. According to the biology teacher, the lack of focus during learning is influenced by several factors, one of which is a non-motivating learning resource. Biology teachers experience difficulties in teaching cell material because the teaching materials used do not cover material clearly and completely. During learning activities, the media used is minimal in cell material. The teaching materials used are only printed books and power points. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an electronic magazine based on the Anyflip application. This study aims to develop an electronic magazine based on the Anyflip application as a learning medium for class XI student at Senior High School. This research includes Research and Development, research using the ADDIE model. The results of product validation and testing show that the electronic magazine based on the Anyflip application as a learning medium for class XI SMA/MA students is “Very Good” and is feasible to use. This is obtained based on the percentage of product validation and trial results. The percentage results obtained for each were subject matter experts by 81%, media experts by 96%, teacher responses by 96%, students responses by 89%, and all results were categorized as "Very Good".

Abstract

Gadgets are small electronic devices that have special functions to download the latest information. The use of gadgets is not only limited to the entertainment aspect, but has also penetrated into the world of education, especially among students. This study aims to describe the effect of gadget use on the learning outcomes of students of class XII MIPA SMAN 5 Model Palu in Biology subject. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The sample in this study were XII MIPA class students of SMAN 5 Model Palu as many as 55 students using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques were performed with normality test, simple linear regression test and F test. The results showed that there is a positive influence of gadget use on student learning outcomes at SMAN 5 Model Palu. Through hypothesis testing with the F test, the f-table is obtained at 4.02 so that f-count = 28.238> f-table = 4.02 which means it has a significant effect.

Abstract

Dragonflies are bioindicator insects that are known to be sensitive to the environment and their existence is influenced by habitat conditions. The potential of dragonflies as a bioindicator for the success of reclamation efforts for former tin mining on Bangka Island needs to be studied. This research aims to record the diversity of dragonflies and damselflies in reclaimed land covering an area of ±15.25 ha and aged ±16 years as one component to enrich the criteria for assessing the success of revegetation of ex-tin mining land. This research was conducted in the rainy season, January-March 2023. For three weeks, Schnabel's visual encounter survey (VES) and capture-mark-release-recapture (CMRR) methods were chosen to observe five transect lines, respectively non-revegetation areas, horticultural and fruit revegetation areas, oil palm revegetation areas, kolong with tilapia fish, and kolong with human activities. This research recorded 19 species of dragonflies and 6 species of damselflies, or around 6.5% of the dragonflies and 2.0% of the damselfly species on the island of Sumatra. The most dominant species are Neurothemis fluctuans and Ceriagrion cerinorubellum. The number of species and number of individual dragonflies is thought to be related to the age of reclamation, and has the potential to be an indicator of the success of ex-tin mining reclamation land. Abstract

This study aims to develop an Islamic integrated biology e-module on the excretory system material for grade XI high school to empower students' critical thinking skills. The product is developed using a 4-D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The instrument used is a questionnaire. The research subjects comprised 30 class XI IPA students from MA Darul Ulum Semarang. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and qualitative techniques. The study resulted in the development of valid e-module products, with validity criteria of 75% from material experts, 85% from Islamic integration experts, and 62.5% from media experts. Additionally, the results showed that practical e-modules were utilized with a practicality percentage of 77.94% based on responses from Biology Teachers and 86.66% from students.

Abstract

Nibaaf Village is one of the areas in Noemuti District, North Central Timor Regency. This village has a spring called Bena spring. Bena Spring is one of the natural springs located in the production forest area of ​​Nibaaf Village, North Central Timor Regency. This research aims to determine the type of vegetation, species that have potential as indicators of water availability, and the influence of vegetation on water availability, as well as to determine the efforts made by the Nibaaf Village community to protect and preserve Bena springs as a production forest area. This research was carried out from December 2023 to February 2024 at the Bena springs in Nibaaf Village, Noemuti District, North Central Timor Regency. The method used in this research is the quadratic plot method which is carried out by making 7 plots measuring 20 m x 20 m. The research results showed that there were 19 types of species distributed in tree growth forms, poles, saplings and seedlings. Consisting of 97 individuals for growth from trees, 70 individuals for growth from poles, 144 individuals for growth from saplings, and 430 individuals for growth from seedlings. The results of the highest INP data analysis for growth from trees were Eucaliptus alba with an INP of 181.27%. The highest INP for growth from poles is Swietenia mahagoni with an INP of 158.51%. The highest INP for growth from saplings is Syzgium aqueum with an INP of 242.08%. The highest INP for growth from seedlings was Sweitenia mahagoni with an INP of 64.17%. The Shannon Winner Diversity Index is in the medium category, the Evennes/Evenness Index is in the high category, and the Dominance Index is in the medium category. Types of plants that have potential as indicators of water availability around the Bena spring are Swietenia mahagoni, Syzygium aqueum, and Ficus benjamina. The existence of vegetation around the Bena spring has a big influence on water availability because it can conserve water. Therefore, this vegetation needs to be maintained and preserved or reforested in order to maintain the stability of water discharge during the dry season. Efforts made by the Nibaaf Village community to protect and preserve the Bena spring as a production forest area include: not cutting down trees carelessly, not throwing away rubbish, and carrying out reforestation to maintain soil fertility so that the spring does not dry out.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi MySkripsi, sebuah aplikasi baru yang dirancan untuk membantu mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi, Universitas Timor dalam mengatur manajemen waktu bimbingan skripsi. Peneitian ini menggunakan design peneltian R&D (Research and Development), dimana metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and development (R & D) dengan model pengembangan 3D yakni define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), dan develop (Pengembangan). Sebelum melakukan proses perancangan dan pengembangan, terlebih dahulu dilakukan studi awal untuk menganalisa kebutuhan penggunaan aplikasi pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi, Universitas Timor. Pngumpulan data studi awal dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dengan responden 12 orang dosen pembimbing dan 44 orang mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisa, ditemukan bahwa lebih dari 75% responden yang terdiri dari dosen dan mahasiswa mengaku pernah melakukan reschedule (penjadwalan ulang waktu bimbingan) dan lebih dari 90% responden dari dosen pembimbing pernah lupa akan jadwal bimbingan. Oleh karena itu, peneliti kemudian melakukan proses pengembangan aplikasi MySkripsi yang kemudian diujicobakan pada mahasiswa dan dosen di program studi Pendidikan Biologi. Hasil penilaian berupa respon dosen pembimbing menunjukkan bahwa pada indicator kemudahan penggunaan aplikasi diperoleh 94,4% dengan kategori Sangat baik, indikator kejelasan aplikasi presentasi sebesar 83,3% dan masuk dalam kategori Baik, indikator tampilan aplikasi prsentasi diperoleh 72,2% dengan kategori Baik, dan indikator kebermanfaatan aplikasi diperoleh 94,5% dengan kategori Sangat baik. Sedangkan, untuk penilaian respon mahasiswa, diketahui bahwa pada indicator kemudahan penggunaan aplikasi diperoleh 88,9% dengan kategori Sangat baik, indikator kejelasan aplikasi diperoleh 76,7% dan masuk dalam kategori Baik, indikator tampilan aplikasi presentasi diperoleh 83,4% dengan kategori Baik, indikator kebermanfaatan aplikasi diperoleh presentasi 95,3% dengan kategori Sangat baik. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat menambahkan berapa fitur bukti bimbingan berupa foto ataupun video.

Abstract

The Donan River estuary is the area where the Donan River meets the Nusakambangan Strait, has a level of pollution that shows an increase, one of which is caused by human activity. Phytoplankton has an important role in determining the status of waters by knowing the diversity and types of plankton. The research aims to determine the community structure of the phytoplankton as a biological indicator and determine the condition of the Donan River Estuary based on the Diversity Index. This research was conducted out in April-May 2024. The sampling method was a sample survey. The results of this research show that the phytoplankton abundance of the Donan River estuary ranges from 42-382 ind/L, which means it is oligotrophic. The results of phytoplankton identification showed that many Bacillariophyceae and Cyanophyceae classes were found. The diversity index value at station 1 is 1.199 and at station 2 is 1.623. The diversity index value shows that the Donan River Estuary has moderate phytoplankton community stability and water quality is moderately polluted. Based on the uniformity index at station 2 the uniformity is more even and based on the dominance index there is no dominant genus.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui waktu perebusan daun pecut kuda (Stachytarpheta jamaicenses) terhadap penyembuhan luka terbuka pada mencit (Mus musculus) dalam upaya pembuatan brosur kesehatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap. Analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis statistik menggunakan aplikasi SPSS One Way Anova. Adapun cara membuat rebusan daun pecut kuda dengan cara daun dibersihkan dengan air mengalir; memotong daun menjadi kecil; mengeringkan daun dengan cara di angin-anginkan; daun yang telah kering diblender hingga halus; selanjutnya daun disaring hingga mendapatkan serbuk halus; setelah itu daun direbus dengan perbandingan 1:5 (50 gram simplisia daun pecut kuda dengan 250 ml aquades). Mencit yang digunakan adalah mencit jantan dengan umur 2 bulan dan berat kisaran 21-25 gram. Adapaun perlakuan yang digunakan adalah rebusan 0 menit (P1), 2 menit (P2), 4 menit (P3), 6 menit (P4) dan 8 menit (P5), sementara Kontrol Positif diberikan providone iodine dan kontrol negatif hanya dengan pemberian aquades. Luka kering tercepat pada kelompok P1 dengan lama waktu 4 hari, disusul dengan P2, P3, P4 dan P5 pada hari ke-5. Pada K+ luka mencit kering pada hari ke-7, K- luka kering hari ke-9. Dari hasil uji Post-Hoc perlakuan P1 merupakan perlakuan terbaik dengan nilai Duncan dihari ke-12 adalah 19.75, hal ini diduga karena terdapat senyawa bioaktif pada daun pecut kuda yang dapat menyembuhkan luka seperti flavonoid, saponin, tannin dan steriod.

Abstract

This research aims to design an Angiosperm plant catalog application as an effort to provide learning media to support biology learning in recognizing Angiosperm plants. This study uses a 3D development model, namely define, design, and development. The define stage is carried out using the field needs survey method. The design stage is carried out by designing an Angiosperm plant catalog application. The develop stage is carried out with validation tests and application usage tests. Application design is carried out by creating activity diagrams, interface designs, and designs using Android Studio. The final stage of application design is checking navigation, performance, and operations. The application is validated by material experts and media experts, and tested for use by peer reviewers, teachers, and students. The average results of the angiosperm plant catalog application product assessment were 86.36% with very good quality by 2 material experts, 85.7% with very good quality by 2 media experts, 95.14% with very good quality by 10 peer reviewers, 90.76% with very good quality by 2 biology teachers, and 85.2% with very good quality by 25 students of MAN 2 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

For this reason, this research aims: 1) To develop Eubacteria practicum E-module in class X SMAN 3 Kefamenanu, 2) To determine the feasibility of Eubacteria practicum E-module in class X SMAN 3 Kefamenanu. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using 3 important stages consisting of: 1) Preliminary study 2) model development stage, 3) evaluation or testing stage. Data was obtained from material expert validation and media expert validation, then trials to Biology subject teachers and students. Trials to two teachers of Biology subjects as respondents and trials to students consisted of limited trials or groups of 5 students and small group trials of 20 students. The results of this development research are as follows: 1) Eubacteria practicum E-module which was developed into teaching materials that are suitable for use by Biology subject teachers and students of SMAN 3 Kefamenanu, 2) E-modules are declared suitable for use as teaching materials with data obtained from 95.00% material expert validation and 91.57% media expert validation with eligibility criteria declared very suitable for use as teaching materials. Based on validation from material experts and media experts, then the Eubacteria practicum E-module was tested on teachers of Biology subjects and students of SMAN 3 Kefamenanu. The results of the trial of Biology subject teachers on respondent 1 with a percentage of 96.00%, while the percentage of respondent 2 was 92.00%. The results of the trial were limited to 88.40%, while the small group trial was 87.10%. Thus, the results of trials for teachers of Biology subjects and students of grade X SMAN 3 Kefamenanu were declared very suitable for use as teaching materials.
