Abstract

Learning requires interesting learning media that can support the theory taught by the teacher. This study aims to determine: the effect of using audio-visual media based on life skills on the learning outcomes of students of SMA Negeri 3 Fatuleu. The research method used experimental method with quantitative approach. The research design was pre-testposttest control group design. The study population was Class X IPA students of SMA Negeri 3 Fatuleu, totalling 26 people. The sampling technique was saturated sample technique. The instrument used was a test instrument in the form of a pretest and posttest. The data has been analysed using descriptive analysis with the help of SPSS. Based on the data analysis of the achievement of pretest learning outcomes with a percentage of 38% in the low category and posttest learning outcomes with a percentage of 72% in the very high category, it can be said that there is a very significant effect in the use of media, the t test shows that there is a significant effect on the use of life skill-based audio visual learning media in the learning process. Based on these facts, it shows that the influence of life skill-based audio visual media has a very good influence and can increase the level of understanding of students in understanding the concepts taught. The increase in learning outcomes is because by using existing media students are required to think actively, creatively and students must also draw conclusions from the material taught so that student interest in learning increases resulting in improved learning outcomes.

Abstract

The leaves of henna are commonly used by local communities to treat burns, inflammation, and skin diseases. This plant contains lawsone (2–hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone) and various phenolic glycosides, flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, and quinones, which are believed to contain antibacterial activity. This study aims to determine whether ethanol extracts from the leaves and stems of henna exhibit antibacterial activity and to assess their inhibitory effects against Staphylococcus aureus. The methods employed in this study include maceration and turbidimetric analysis. The extraction method was maceration with 96% ethanol as the solvent. The antibacterial activity was tested using the turbidimetric method with extract concentrations of 15%, 25%, and 30%. Chloramphenicol was used as a positive control, and NaCl served as a negative control. The results revealed that the leaf extracts of henna exhibited antibacterial activity in the leaves and stems of henna nails by comparing the average absorbance values before and after incubation. At concentrations of 15%, 25% and 30% of the leaves of henna na na experienced shedding after incubation which showed that the growth of bacteria had been inhibited. Meanwhile, in the henna nail stem extract, the concentration of 15% decreased after incubation and the concentration of 25%, 30% showed an increase in absorbance value after the incubation process.

Abstract

Ontogeny is the process of individual development from embryo to adult, while phylogeny is the analysis of evolutionary relationships between species. Ontogeny and phylogeny form the basis for understanding the development of organisms and the history of evolution, as well as for further studies in biology. This research aims to analyze the urgency of studying ontogeny and phylogeny in high school biology learning. The research was conducted using a literature study method on articles and references relevant to the topic. The analysis of the literature indicates an urgency to study ontogeny and phylogeny in high school biology learning. Supported by appropriate learning approaches and models, knowledge related to ontogeny and phylogeny needs to be taught to high school students to enhance their understanding of more complex biological concepts.

Abstract

Baluran National Park is a conservation area with various types of ecosystems including seasonal forests, beaches, savannas, evergreen forests, and mangroves. Baluran National Park has very high biodiversity potential. Ants are insects with a high level of diversity that can live in various habitats. This study was conducted to add information about the diversity of ants that inhabit Baluran National Park which has not been widely studied. The research method used was pit trap (PSM) and umpang trap in evergreen forest and bekol savanna, Baluran National Park. The results obtained were 15 genera from 5 subfamilies including Ponaerinae, Myrmicinae, Formicinae, Cerapachyinae, and Pseudomyrmicinae. Subfamily Myrmicinae has the highest number of individuals among other subfamilies.

Abstract

Moon orchid is a member of the Orchidaceae family which is a seed plant and belongs to epiphytic orchids that attach to the host. Moon orchid is also one of the most popular orchids among the public because of the beauty of its large flowers and can last two to 4 months. However, the difficulty of re-flowering in moon orchid is one of the problems. This study aims to determine the growth of new shoots on the flowering of moon orchids (Phalaenopsis amabilis) through stimulation of shallots (Allium cepa L.) on the bud eye. This research is a quantitative research with true experiment method. Data obtained in the form of numbers of observations for 12 weeks. With simple random sampling technique. The population in this study were moon orchid plants that have roots, stems and leaves. This moon orchid plant is 3.5 years old and totalling 25 individuals. While the sample in this study is the second bud eye moon orchid plants from the base of the stem. There is an effect of shallot extract on the bud eye to stimulate the growth of new buds on the flowering of moon orchids. This study shows that there is an effect of shallot extract on the bud eye to stimulate the growth of new shoots on the flowering of moon orchids. There is the best concentration for the growth of new shoot height on the moon orchid is at a concentration of 40% with an average growth of 6.36 cm, while for the growth of new shoot diameter on the moon orchid is at a concentration of 30% with an average growth of 0.608 cm. Thus, the best concentration for the growth of new shoots on the flowering of moon orchids is between 30% - 40% concentration

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to (1) describe the effect of the application of the problem-based learning model on cognitive learning outcomes of class XI MA students in the matter of Movement System Disorders in Humans, (2) describes the affective and psychomotor learning outcomes of class XI MA students on the subject of Movement System Disorders in Humans using the problem-based learning model. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3 MAN 3 Banjarmasin. The research method used was quasi-experimental to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model on cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes. The research results show (1) The application of the problem-based learning model to material of Movement System Disorders in Humans has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of class XI MA students, namely a symptom sig (2-tailed) value < 0.05, which is 0.000 and the result of cognitive learning processes with the application of the problem-based learning model is in the good category, (2) the affective learning outcomes of student character behavior and social behavior are include in the good to very good category and psychomotor learning outcomes with the application of the problem-based learning model are in the good category. Through this research, we found that there was an effect of applying the problem-based learning model on the subject of Movement System Disorders in Humans on the learning outcomes of class XI MA students

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan pengaruh media Kahoot terhadap pembelajaran biologi khususnya dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di SMAN 30 Bone. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain One-Group Pre-test-Post-test design. Adapun sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 29 siswa dari kelas XI MIPA. Prosedur pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan strategi pengumpulan data berupa pemberian angket pre-test dan post-test motivasi belajar siswa serta dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif dengan SPSS Versi 23 diketahui terjadi peningkatan pada nilai siswa setelah pemberian treatment dimana nilai pre-test 68.28 dan post-test 89.79 setelah pemberian perlakuan. Disamping itu, dalam menentukan hipotesis, peneliti melakukan uji-t atau paired sample pada kedua tes dan diperoleh nilai 0,000 < 0.05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, hipotesis diterima. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengimplementasian media Kahoot berpengaruh terhadap motivasi siswa kelas X MIPA SMAN 30 Bone. Kata kunci: Kahoot, motivasi, pembelajaran biologi Abstract: The purpose of this study was to show the effect of Kahoot media on biology teaching, especially in increasing student learning motivation at SMAN 30 Bone. This study employed a quantitative research approach with a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The sample for this study consisted of 29 students from class XI MIPA. The sampling procedure used was purposive sampling. This study employs data collection strategies in the form of pre-test and post-test questionnaires for student learning motivation and documentation. Based on the results of descriptive analysis with SPSS Version 23, it is known that there is an increase in student scores after treatment, where the pre-test value is 68.28 and the post-test is 89.79. In addition, in determining the hypothesis, researchers conducted a t-test or paired sample on both tests and obtained a value of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on the results of the analysis, the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, this study shows that the implementation of Kahoot media affects the motivation of students in class X MIPA SMAN 30 Bone. Abstract

This study was conducted on the people of Sanur Kaja Village who still use medicinal plants as treatment. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the types of plants and to find out how the people of Sanur Kaja Village process them as traditional medicinal plants and to find out how the people of Sanur Kaja Village process them as traditional medicine. The research used in this study was the Random Sampling method, in determining respondents using the Slovin formula. In this study, interviews were conducted with 50 people in Sanur Kaja Village. The data taken included: types of plants used as medicine, parts used and how to use them. Data analysis in this study was in the form of qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, 15 types of plants were found that could be used as medicine with the dominant plants used as medicine being turmeric, betel, ginger, temulawak and mengkudu. The parts of the plant used as medicine by the people of Sanur Kaja Village are leaves, stems, fruits, rhizomes and tubers. The way of processing plants used as medicine by the people of Sanur Kaja Village is by boiling, burning, chewing, crushing, grating, pounding, heating. Ethnobotany studies in Sanur Kaja Village are the first step to provide traditional knowledge to the village community about plants that are useful as medicine so that they can be passed on to the next generation.

Abstract

Keberadaan dan populasi lumut terestrial di kawasan wisata lebih bergantung pada keberadaan pengunjung dan aktivitas pengelolaan lokasi wisata, termasuk lumut terestrial di Wisata Air Terjun Taplel Desa Oesusu. Keberadaan lumut sebagai penutup permukaan tanah juga mempengaruhi produktivitas, dekomposisi serta pertumbuhan komunitas di hutan. Tujuan penelitian ini Untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan Lumut (Bryophita) di kawasan air terjun taplel Desa Oesusu Kabupaten Kupang Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur dan untuk mengetahui parameter lingkungan yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan jenis-jenis tumbuhan Lumut (Bryophita) . Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode jelajah. Teknik analisis data yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jenis lumut yang ditemukan ada 5 jenis, 2 jenis lumut dari kelas Jungermanniaopsida (lumut hati) yaitu jenis Chiloschypus minor dan Bazzania Triloba, 3 jenis dari klas bryopsida (lumut daun) yaitu Acanthocladium Tanytrichum, Dicranoloma Braunni, Bryum Argenteum. Pengukuran kondisi lingkungan atau faktor abiotik pada lokasi penelitian meliputi: suhu lingkungan 24 – 280 C, kelembaban udara 64 – 67,5 %, pH tanah 6,4, kelembaban tanah 5,5 – 7 % dan Intensitas Cahaya 1293,2 cd, dari hasil pengukuran parameter lingkungan ini sangat mendukung pertumbuhan maupun perkembangan lumut (Briophyta).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to characterize how the Problem Solving Learning approach affects science students' learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Momunu. By dividing research subjects into two groups—an experimental group and a control group—this kind of study is known as a quasi-experiment (Quasy Experiment). The Nonequivalent Control Groups Design was the study design that was applied. All members of class VIII made up the study's population. Purposive sampling was the sample strategy employed, and a multiple-choice written test was utilized as the study instrument. Class VIII A and class VIII B are the research samples. Primary data from the completion of the pretest and posttest constitute the type of data used in the study. This study's data analysis method makes use of testing for hypotheses (t test). The average posttest results for the experimental class and control class were, respectively, 80.22 and 74.77 in the experimental class. The research data analysis results show that there is an influence of the Problem Solving learning method on student learning outcomes in science subjects at SMPN 1 Momunu. The t test, with assistance from the SPSS version 29 application, yielded a Sig value (two-sided p) of 0.034 < 0.05, meaning that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.
