Abstract

Employee integrity serves as the fundamental pillar for creating an ethical work environment free from bribery practices. Within organizational settings, integrity does not rely solely on formal regulations and control mechanisms; rather, it is profoundly shaped by the strength of organizational culture, which influences employees’ values, norms, and daily behaviors. Organizational culture functions as a key determinant in fostering both individual and collective ethics through a continuous process of value internalization. This article aims to develop a conceptual framework that explains how organizational culture shapes employee integrity as a preventive and sustainable mechanism for bribery prevention. Adopting a qualitative approach through a systematic and thematic literature review of academic sources and policy reports, this study identifies the dimensions of organizational culture that influence the development of integrity. The findings reveal a limited number of studies that explicitly integrate organizational culture, integrity, and bribery prevention within a single analytical framework. Therefore, this article provides a theoretical contribution by highlighting a conceptual gap that has received little attention, as well as a practical contribution for human resource management functions and compliance units in formulating sustainable, value-based anti-bribery cultural strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of influencer marketing and social media marketing on brand image and purchase decision, with brand image as a mediating variable. The theories used in this study include source credibility, self-congruity, and stimulus-organism-response, which explain how these two digital marketing variables affect consumer perceptions and their decision-making. The research uses a structured survey approach in the automotive sector, with Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) as the analysis technique. The results show that influencer marketing and social media marketing have a significant positive impact on brand image and purchase decision. Brand image is proven to mediate the relationship between influencer marketing, social media marketing, and purchase decision, confirming the important role of brand image in the consumer decision-making process. These findings support the relevance of the theories used in digital marketing. Practically, the results of this study have implications for companies to prioritize the credibility and congruence between influencers and brands in their social media marketing strategies. The research also highlights the importance of transparency in influencer collaborations to build consumer trust. Limitations of the study include the use of data collected at a single point in time, which limits the ability to draw causal conclusions, as well as the automotive industry context, which may affect generalizability. Future research is recommended to use longitudinal or experimental designs to explore the negative effects of influencer marketing and social media marketing.

Abstract

The Lawang District Government holds the responsibility to establish an Information Technology (IT) Governance protocol to fulfill governmental duties and maximize the value of public services, considering the crucial role of information technology. The governance framework must align with the mission of Lawang District as a public service institution. This study aims to design an IT governance framework that supports public service delivery in Lawang District, Malang Regency, by utilizing the COBIT 5 framework, focusing on the subdomains EDM01 (Ensure Governance Framework Setting and Maintenance), EDM04 (Ensure Resource Optimization), DSS01 (Manage Operations), and DSS03 (Manage Problems). The study measures the capability level of IT governance in Lawang District and formulates recommendations to improve public services through better IT governance practices. The findings are expected to enhance the quality, transparency, and accountability of public services in the district. The research methodology includes data collection through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and literature reviews, followed by data analysis using the COBIT 5 framework. Based on the analysis results, the capability levels for subdomains EDM01, EDM04, DSS01, and DSS03 are at Level 3 (Established Process), while the target level for all subdomains is Level 4, indicating a gap of one level. This means that the Lawang District Office has established standardized processes that are implemented consistently across the organization but still requires improvement to reach an optimized and measurable governance state.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the moderating role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the relationship between Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and firm value. Good Corporate Governance in this context is proxied by managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and the proportion of independent commissioners. The research employs a sample of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021–2023 period, resulting in a final sample of 66 firm-years. Data were analyzed using SPSS software. The findings reveal that, partially, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and independent commissioners have a significant positive effect on firm value. Furthermore, the moderation analysis indicates that Corporate Social Responsibility moderates the effect of managerial ownership on firm value. However, CSR does not moderate the relationship between institutional ownership or independent commissioners and firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to adapt and validate the Work-Family Conflict Scale (WAFCS) into an Indonesia version, in order to ensure its overall validity and reliability within the Indonesian cultural context. The adaptation process follows international guideline standards, in encompassing forward translation, back translation, expert evaluation, and field testing on 252 workers in South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Reliability analysis showed consistent and excellent results with an overall omega (ω) coefficient of .92, as well as .88 and .89 for the work-to-family and family-to-work dimensions, respectively. Construct validity testing through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) indicated that although most items had significant factor loadings and adequate variance, the model fit indices (CFI = .87; TLI = .83; RMSEA = .16) did not fully meet ideal statistical criteria. These findings suggest that the two-factor structure of the WAFCS can still be substantially replicated. However, interpretations of work and family role conflict are influenced by local social and cultural contexts of the population. Thus, although the WAFCS has not yet achieved an ideal statistical model fit, the instrument still can be regarded as a reliable and relevant tool to measure work-family conflict in Indonesia, while considering further adjustments to the model structure and a broader target population.

Abstract

Instagram is one of the main platforms in digital marketing, yet many business accounts still struggle to achieve optimal audience engagement. This study examines the Instagram account @bukumurahanak, which has more than 7,800 followers but records an engagement rate (ER) of only 1.2%, below the industry standard of 3–6%. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors causing low engagement, evaluate the influence of content type on interaction, and propose improvement strategies. A quantitative descriptive method was applied through the analysis of 75 posts in 2024 and a survey of 200 respondents. ER was calculated to measure audience involvement based on impressions and follower count, while simple linear regression was used to test the influence of content type on engagement variation. The results show that interactive content achieved the highest reach, educational content was the most efficient, and promotional content performed the lowest (ER 0.9%). Regression analysis confirmed that content type significantly affects engagement (R² = 0.510), with 51% of the variation explained by content and 49% by other factors such as visual quality and posting consistency. In conclusion, content quality and relevance are critical in driving engagement. This study recommends balancing educational and interactive content while redesigning promotional content through storytelling, appealing visuals, and stronger calls-to-action.

Abstract

This study aims to adapt and validate the Cognitive Demands of Flexible Work Scale (CODE) instrument into the Indonesian context. The original instrument, developed by Prem et al. (2021), measures four dimensions of cognitive demands in flexible work: Structuring of work tasks, Planning of working times, Planning of working places, and coordinating with others. The adaptation process involved forward-back translation, field testing, and psychometric analysis using a sample of 252 workers in South Sulawesi. The results of the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) showed a good model fit (CFI = 0.983, TLI = 0.976, RMSEA = 0.047), with all factor loadings significant (λ > 0.70). Reliability, as measured by omega coefficient (ω = 0.795–0.881) and Cronbach’s alpha (α = 0.788–0.875), met the criteria for acceptance. These findings support the validity and reliability of the Indonesian version of the CODE instrument, although there were minor variations in the correlation patterns among dimensions compared to the original version. This adaptation provides a valid tool for measuring the cognitive demands of flexible workers in Indonesia, with practical implications for human resource policy development and further research. In addition, this instrument can also be used to identify groups of workers who are most vulnerable to cognitive demands, such as those in leadership positions, those with higher educational backgrounds, or those working under flextime and flexplace systems. The results can serve as a basis for organizations to design more targeted interventions.

Abstract

The transformation towards a green economy presents a strategic challenge and opportunity for Indonesian MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), which comprise over 99% of national business units. This descriptive-qualitative documentary study, utilizing secondary data from KADIN, BPS, and the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, aimed to analyze the challenges and opportunities for implementing Green Innovation in MSMEs, based on 2024 data from KADIN Indonesia, and to review its relevance through the perspective of maqashid syariah (the objectives of Sharia). The findings reveal that green adoption is hindered by low technology literacy, limited access to green financing, inadequate HR training, and insufficient halal and environmental certification, yet significant opportunities exist due to rising consumer awareness of eco-friendly and halal products, supportive green financing policies from the OJK, and free halal certification programs from BPJPH. From a maqashid syariah perspective, Green Innovation aligns with the spiritual and moral objectives of Hifz al-Din (preservation of religion) and Hifz al-Nafs (preservation of life), underscoring ethical halal production, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility. The study concludes that the synergy between Green Innovation and Islamic values can enhance MSME competitiveness and foster an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable green and halal economic ecosystem in Indonesia.
