Fokus publishes original research or theoretical papers about teaching and learning in Guidance and Counseling study program of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung on current science issues, namely: Guidance and Counseling educator in elementary, secondary and high school level. Guidance and Counseling observers and researchers. Educational decisions maker on regional and national level. We recommend classroom action research, qualitative, descriptive, or quantitative. We may process manuscript of didactic development research (DDR) or research and development (RnD). Our publication could be research on teaching method, an experiment of teaching aid or media, and even effectiveness of lesson study. We accepted any manuscript derived from research of Guidance and Counseling in Indonesia. We will not process manuscript from research approach of school management.

Abstract

Emotionally mature students tend to make career decisions that are right for themselves because they are able to think objectively about the various options available, so they can be responsible for the decisions taken. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and career decisions of students in continuing education at the next level. The research method used is ex post facto quantitative method with correlational research type. The number of samples in this study were 100 class IX students. Collecting data using emotional maturity scale and career decision scale using a Likert scale model. The data from the scale in this study are quantitative data which will be analyzed descriptively in percentage. The results showed the significant correlation between emotional maturity and career decision making was 0.000 with a person correlation value of 0.762 in a positive direction so that it can be concluded that in this study H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected, meaning that there is a significant relationship between emotional maturity and career decision making in class students. IX SMPN 1 Garut. This figure shows a positive relationship with a strong level of relationship. From these results it can be interpreted that the high emotional maturity is one of the aspects that increase career decision making, or vice versaKeywords: emotional maturity, career decisions.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe how the Personal-Social Guidance Program is based on the Internal Locus Of Control for Seven-Grades Student of SMP Alam Karawang during the Covid -19 Pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The Participants of this study consisted of the Counseling Guidance Teacher, the student's parents, and the seven-grade student. The results of the research are from the results of observations and interviews of personal and social guidance programs based on internal locus of control at SMP Alam Karawang are running well, services are in accordance with the objectives, namely guidance and counseling services are efforts to help students in the development of personal life, social life, learning activities, and career planning and development. Guidance and counseling services facilitate the development of students individually, in groups and or classically, according to their needs, potentials, talents, interests, development, conditions, and opportunities. Guidance and counseling services also help overcome weaknesses and obstacles as well as problems faced by student. Keywords: Locus Of Control Internal, personal-sosial tutoring program, the covid pandemic

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus is a virus that was originally found in China and has now spread to various regions, especially the State of Indonesia. This condition certainly has an impact on students' learning motivation, because students think they are bored and bored with online learning conditions. The purpose of this study is to find out a description of the motivation or encouragement of learning for class XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Sukatani during the covid-19 outbreak. This study uses a qualitative descriptive system. The data collection methods that I used in this study were interviews and documentation. The results prove that the study conducted on the four students at SMA Negeri 1 Sukatani still has the motivation to learn in the category of having student goals or aspirations; learning capacity; physical and spiritual condition; the condition of the student; dynamic factors of learning; teacher's efforts to teach students.Keywords: Covid-19, Motivation of Learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran siswa broken home yang memiliki self esteem rendah di SMAN 1 Ciwidey Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi di sekolah. Ada beberapa siswa dari keluarga broken home yang memiliki self esteem rendah. Metode yang digunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara dan observasi. Subjek penelitian yaitu 3 siswa yang memiliki self esteem rendah dari keluarga broken home. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 2 siswa perempuan memiliki self esteem lebih rendah dari pada 1 siswa laki-laki terlihat dari aspek kekuatan, keberartian, kebajikan dan kemampuan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the self-confidence profile of class IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Selaawi Garut. Self-confidence is the belief to do something to the subject as a personal characteristic in which there is confidence in self-ability, optimism, objectivity, responsibility, rational and realistic. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Selaawi Garut on 32 grade students consisting of 11 boys and 21 girls. . This research approach is a quantative approach and descriptive method with data collection tools, namely the interview guide student confidence. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the self-confidence of students of class IX SMP Negeri 1 Selaawi Garut is 29% of students in the low category. The factors that affect students' self-confidence are academic success, physical appearance, economic status, and environmental interaction.Keywords: : self-confidence, students

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine that students' positive learning attitudes and habits can have a strong motivation or interest in learning, good study habits, positive attitudes towards subject matter, intelligence, and not easily frustrated in the face of failure. Subjects in the study were 10 students who had low positive attitudes and learning habits. The data in this study were obtained through interviews and observations about students' positive attitudes. The approach used is a quantitative approach. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The conclusion in this study is that students who have positive attitudes and learning habits will show behavior in learning activities effectively and efficiently, both in planning learning activities and participating in learning activities, understanding and mastery of subject matter, and preparing to take tests or exams.Keywords: Positive Learning Attitude, students

Abstract

Research on the decision description about the career of students of SMKN 9 Garut is a descriptive quantitative study with the aim of obtaining an overview of the level of career planning of students at SMKN 9 Garut. Based on the research results, it is found that career planning decisions at SMKN 9 Garut are in the high category on each indicator, which consists of I believe that the goal is; involved in information seeking; and select interests in further education and employment. This illustrates that students have: optimism in the continuing education and employment database, a desire to collect information that supports further education and employment, and a tendency to determine further education or employment. Keywords:Career Decisions, Vocational School Students

Abstract

The background of this study is the problem in high school students, namely the inability of students to interpersonal communication. Students who have difficulty doing interpersonal communication will find it difficult to adjust to the surrounding environment. So that the behavior exhibited by students such as tend to withdraw and take aggressive actions, difficult to adjust, easy to get angry, tend to force the will, selfish, and want to win themselves so that they are easily involved in disputes. Efforts are made to overcome these problems by using group guidance services through sodiodrama techniques. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of group counseling to develop interpersonal communication of high school students. The method used in this research is a literature review method that can help in providing context and meaning in the writing that is being done. and the researcher can state explicitly from the results of the study and the reader knows why the thing to be investigated is a problem that must be examined, both in terms of any subject in terms of the relationship of research with other relevant research.keywords: Interpersonal Communication, Group Guidance, Sociodrama Techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students who experience bullying at a school in Bandung. This research was conducted based on the phenomena that occur in the field. One thing that schools can do through counseling teachers is the provision of group counseling services to all students in the school and working with class teachers and subject teachers. The approach used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods are interviews and documentation of counseling teachers and students who experience bullying victims. The research subjects were 2 students who were victims of bullying and a counseling teacher. The results of the study indicate that these students experience repeated bullying so that the child's psychology is disturbed as a result of these students often skipping school, lack of motivation to learn, quiet, and lack of confidence.Keywords: Bullying, Students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of addiction to online games of class X MA Plus Al Mujammil Cisurupan Garut. The method used is descriptive quantitative research with data collection tools on the scale of online game addiction and student observation sheets in the classroom. The results showed that the level of students' online game addiction was in the non-addictive category 38.5%, mild addiction 15.3% and severe addiction 46.2%. The results of the study on the level of student addiction if addiction is not handled properly it can lead to uncontrolled students because they are not able to reduce playing time so that social relations and tasks are hampered. Keywords: : Online Game Addiction, Students
