Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in the P5RA program and its effect on the development of santriwati's state and religious characters at Madrasah Aliyah As'adiyah Putri Sengkang. this study was conducted using the Countenance Stake evaluation model. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research participants included the head of madrasah, teachers, and santriwati. Data analysis followed the Countenance Stake model, which consists of three stages: antecedent (input), transaction (process), and outcome (result). The findings show that: (1) In the antecedent phase, madrasah shows adequate readiness to implement the P5RA program under the Merdeka Curriculum, supported by careful preparation and planning; (2) In the transaction phase, the P5RA learning process is effectively implemented through various project-based activities that integrate Pancasila and Islamic values; and (3) In the outcome phase, the results obtained are in accordance with the expected goals. Nevertheless, improvements are needed in strengthening documentation, enhancing teacher training, enriching learning projects, optimizing the use of technology, developing evaluation instruments, and strengthening collaboration networks to ensure the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of the P5RA program at Madrasah Aliyah As'adiyah Putri Sengkang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of YouTube in improving expository writing skills: the perspective of Indonesian language teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Doloksanggul. The background of this study is that Indonesian language learning in the classroom often poses a challenge for teachers at school. This is because students' interest in learning Indonesian varies. Therefore, teachers utilize YouTube to improve students' skills in writing expository texts. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method. Data is collected through written tests, observations, and interviews. The research subjects are Indonesian language teachers. Data validation is conducted using reference materials and member checks. The results indicate that the use of YouTube videos is viewed as a strategic approach that should be implemented in education for language skill development. Writing expository texts is quite difficult for students to do in learning. The use of YouTube is considered to attract students' attention because it can improve their argumentation skills, vocabulary, and understanding of expository text structure. The use of this media is also used as motivation for teachers and students at the high school level.

Abstract

The use of videos based on local wisdom in literature learning is an innovative approach that can enrich the interpretation of poetry and improve students' essay writing skills. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of local wisdom videos to enrich the interpretation of poetry in the form of essays by 10th grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Kiri Kota Subulussalam. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Informants were selected purposively according to research needs. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis followed the qualitative analysis stages outlined by Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the use of local wisdom videos, such as the Peusijuk tradition, kenduri, and gotong royong, can shape more contextual, connotative, and symbolic interpretations of poetry. Students demonstrated improved abstract and reflective thinking skills and greater confidence in writing essays. Student responses were very positive because the visual media presented were relevant to their lives, making learning more active, personal, and meaningful. However, there were some challenges, such as technical limitations, differing cultural backgrounds, and low literary literacy. Despite this, teacher support, a flexible curriculum, and the integration of local values were key factors contributing to the success of this strategy. This approach strengthens understanding of poetry and fosters a deeper appreciation of literature through authentic learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' ability to write posters with the theme of local food by utilizing Canva application as learning media in class XI Economics 1 SMA Negeri 18 Medan. The background of this study is based on the low learning outcomes of students in writing posters manually, as well as the lack of utilization of digital technology in the Indonesian language learning process. This research used the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the use of Canva significantly increased students' average score from 73.34 in the pre-action stage to 81 in cycle I, and increased again to 90 in cycle II. Learning completeness also increased from 51% to 80%, then reached 100% in cycle II. In addition to cognitive improvement, the use of Canva also encouraged creativity, active participation, and student learning motivation. These results show that the integration of Canva application in Indonesian language learning is effective for developing students' visual writing skills as well as supporting character strengthening in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

Social development in children aged 3 to 12 years is an important stage in a child's life that affects their ability to interact with their surroundings, such as family, peers, and society. This study aims to analyze the stages of social development in children aged 3 to 12 years, as well as the factors that influence this development. At ages 3–5, children begin to exhibit parallel and associative play behaviors, where they begin to interact with peers, although not fully cooperatively. At ages 6–8, the abilities to share, cooperate, and empathize begin to develop, while at ages 9–12, children enter a stage of more mature social relationships with better communication skills and the ability to form more complex friendships. The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of internal and external factors, such as parenting styles, formal education, and social interactions, on children's social development. This study examines how children develop social skills from early childhood to elementary school age, as well as the challenges faced in supporting healthy social development. This study is expected to provide broader insights for educators and parents in supporting children's optimal social growth. Abstrak Perkembangan aspek sosial pada anak usia 3 hingga 12 tahun merupakan tahap penting dalam kehidupan anak yang memengaruhi kemampuan mereka untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitar, seperti keluarga, teman sebaya, dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tahapan perkembangan sosial anak pada usia 3 hingga 12 tahun, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perkembangan tersebut. Pada usia 3–5 tahun, anak mulai menunjukkan perilaku permainan paralel dan asosiatif, di mana mereka mulai berinteraksi dengan teman sebaya meskipun tidak sepenuhnya kooperatif. Pada usia 6–8 tahun, kemampuan berbagi, bekerja sama, dan berempati mulai berkembang, sedangkan pada usia 9–12 tahun, anak memasuki tahap hubungan sosial yang lebih matang dengan keterampilan komunikasi yang lebih baik dan kemampuan membentuk persahabatan yang lebih kompleks. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali lebih dalam mengenai pengaruh faktor internal dan eksternal, seperti pola asuh orang tua, pendidikan formal, dan interaksi sosial, terhadap perkembangan sosial anak. Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana anak mengembangkan keterampilan sosial dari usia dini hingga usia sekolah dasar, serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam mendukung perkembangan sosial yang sehat. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih luas bagi pendidik dan orang tua dalam mendukung pertumbuhan sosial anak secara optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of animation media in improving students' understanding of the Arts and Crafts (SBDP) subject, covering ethnic and cultural forms. The problem faced is low interest and motivation in learning due to the dominance of lecture methods and printed books. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that animation media in the form of videos, images, and sounds are able to create an interesting learning atmosphere, foster motivation, and improve student understanding. Success is supported by the availability of facilities such as LCDs, laptops, and electronic devices, while the main obstacles are technical problems such as power outages and teachers' limited mastery of technology. Thus, animation media is proven to be more effective than conventional methods and has the potential to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The revitalization of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) is a strategic effort to strengthen its role in adapting to the digital era's technological advances. This study aims to describe the revitalization of IRE through the professionalism of IRE teachers at MTsN Gresik, outlining their strategies to enhance professionalism and identify challenges faced. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, analyzed using pattern matching, explanation building, time-series analysis, and repeated observations. Findings reveal that IRE teachers enhance professionalism by leveraging technologies such as Smart TVs, PowerPoint, Canva, Quizizz, Google Classroom, and AI for interactive learning, engaging in continuous training, and collaborating via the Teacher Subject Discussion Group (MGMP). The madrasah supports this through digital-focused training and workshops. Challenges include limited digital facilities, insufficient direct interaction in online learning, and uneven technological proficiency among teachers. Solutions involve capacity building and cross-stakeholder collaboration to support digital transformation in education. This study contributes to understanding IRE teacher professionalism in the digital era, offering practical insights for technology-based learning strategies, although its scope is limited to one madrasah, suggesting broader future research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social life of adolescents in Bima from the perspective of Ibn Miskawaih and its relevance to the concept of Maja Labo Dahu . With the increase in negative behavior among adolescents, such as delinquency, fighting, and drug abuse, this study focuses on how moral values can be applied to improve the social life of adolescents in Bima. This study uses Literature Study research based on the Indonesian translation of the work by Hidayat Helmi " philosophy of morals, first principles, towards moral perfection". To strengthen this research, the researcher uses content analysis from various sources, including books, journals, and relevant articles. After conducting the research, the researcher produces that the social life of adolescents in Bima can be improved through the application of moral values taught by Ibn Miskawaih, which emphasizes the control of reason, lust, and anger, as well as the concept of Maja Labo Dahu which teaches shame and fear of mistakes. These two concepts complement each other in forming good adolescent character. This study concludes that continuous moral education in the family, school, and community environments is very important to shape positive adolescent behavior. Thus, the application of the values of these two concepts is expected to direct adolescent social interactions in a better and more responsible direction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the methods and processes for exploring the direction of Islamic education goals amidst curriculum changes and the onslaught of AI. This study uses a library research approach. Library research is a study used to collect information and data using various materials available in libraries, such as documents, books, magazines, and historical stories. The results of the study indicate that Islamic education is able to adapt to current developments and technological advances. The presence of AI and curriculum changes does not cause Islamic education to lose its essence and remains steadfast in upholding its Islamic values. Curriculum changes aim to find the right reference as a foundation for all education, and Islamic education remains able to adapt to all existing changes. The existence of AI can help make it easier for teachers and students to complete school assignments quickly and efficiently, without requiring high costs, providing new innovations, providing 24-hour service, and providing consistent answers. However, it does not rule out the possibility that AI also has disadvantages such as unemployment, privacy violations, data security, and technological dependence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini, mengkaji penerapan etika literasi digital dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) melalui aktivitas komunitas dakwah digital di Facebook. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif guru PAI sebagai pengguna aktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun Facebook bukan platform pendidikan formal, melainkan media ini telah dimanfaatkan sebagai ruang alternatif dalam menyampaikan nilai-nilai Islam. Sebagian pengguna menunjukkan etika digital yang baik melalui verifikasi konten, penyampaian santun, dan moderasi diskusi. Namun, praktik penyimpangan juga ditemukan, seperti penyebaran informasi provokatif dan narasi intoleran. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital dalam konteks dakwah masih bersifat dinamis dan belum sepenuhnya etis. Penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya peningkatan kompetensi etika digital bagi pendidik agama agar media sosial benar-benar dapat berfungsi sebagai sarana edukasi yang valid. Temuan ini memperkuat pentingnya membangun ekosistem dakwah digital yang sehat dan bertanggung jawab. Maka, perlu adanya penguatan kompetensi etika digital bagi pendakwah, termaksuk guru PAI, agar media sosial benar-benar berfungsi sebagai sarana pendidikan yang bijak.
