Abstract

Ease of access to information is a definite consequence of the deepening of globalization. Mode of interaction and communication advancement are characteristic that can now be easily recognized through technological developments. This raise a problem related to less optimum usage of the internet amid the high use of digital applications. The existing conditions lead to a lack of people's ability to both understand digital objects and the benefits that is contained. The implementation of community service in partnership with Kampoeng Djoeang aims to introduce and upload social resources related to digital literacy skills which are now crucial in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The method used is a series of training in three stages, namely (1) analysis of community needs, (2) socialization of digital literacy, and (3) evaluation and feedback. It was found that practical forms of training were the answer to two people's needs, namely (1) digital literacy education by providing information analysis skills and (2) understanding legal and ethical references in social media.

Abstract

Lamora is a cracker and petis industry located in Kauman village, Socah sub-district, Bangkalan district, which has become a pilot MSME. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Manpower and the Department of Health of Bangkalan Regency, this MSME has had a website (https://kerupukikansocah.com) since 2017. Before the pandemic, Lamora only served orders and purchases directly from individuals or resellers from Bangkalan and its surroundings. However, during the Covid-19 pandemic, sales turnover decreased by more than 60%. This requires serious attention to maintain business continuity. The solution provided is a training and mentoring partnership program to provide MSME actors with the ability to use information technology (IT) as a marketing and sales medium, conduct online marketing on social media, manage online stores in market places and use promotional media design applications for free. The training which lasted for two days has gone well and has achieved the expected goal, namely increasing the understanding of Lamora MSME actors towards online marketing using IT.

Abstract

The coffee husk waste has not been utilized optimally by farmers. Coffee skin waste, which has been considered as a leftover material from the production of ground coffee, turns out to have many benefits and uses in life. Based on the results of research by experts, coffee husk waste is useful in agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries, namely as compost, protein nutrition and additional fiber in animal feed. This solid waste of coffee rind has high levels of organic matter and nutrients that can improve soil structure. One of the efforts that can be done to handle the increasing amount of coffee husk waste is by processing coffee skin waste into compost. The by-products in the form of coffee skins range from 50-60 percent of the harvest. If the yield is 1000 kg of fresh coffee, then about 400-500 kg of coffee beans will be produced and the rest is a by-product in the form of coffee husks. The advantage of this coffee skin compost is that its nitrogen content is quite high, around 6% so that it can substitute for fertilizers containing nitrogen. The problem is that the C/N ratio is high enough that it takes a long time to decompose or the solution is to add nitrogen sources and a decomposer to speed up decomposition. This community service activity was carried out in collaboration with the community in the Bondowoso district, namely the KAPAS Community in Sumbergading Village, Sumberwringin District and the TSS community in Sukosari Lor Village, Sukosari District. In the Bondowoso area, there are many youth communities with various activities aimed at advancing people's lives and improving the socio-economic status of the area. Coffee husk waste is very common in the area, so far, coffee skin waste has not been used optimally, so its benefits cannot be obtained. The solutions offered in this community service activity include: Provide an understanding of the importance of utilizing existing coffee husk waste for communities and communities in the Bondowoso area, Provide training on making fertilizer from coffee husk waste as an innovation in making fertilizer to increase agricultural yields in the Bondowoso area, Exploring and empowering the natural potential that exists in the community environment so that it can be put to good use, Initiate the business of making fertilizer from coffee husk waste as an innovation in making fertilizer for cost efficiency in agriculture Keywords : waste, coffee husk, innovation, fertilizer, health DAFTAR PUSTAKA Dzung NA., Dzung TT.,Khanh VTP.,2013. Abstract

Food security is one of the efforts to realize the 2nd sustainable development goal, namely zero hunger. In order to help the government encourage the realization of food security in Indonesia, the community service team of Universitas Airlangga implemented a bulekang (kale catfish cultivation) program aimed at the people of Pasirharjo village, Talun subdistrict, Blitar regency. The purpose of the bulekang program is to increase knowledge about food security, the use of home land as a container for the fulfillment of animal nutrition, vegetable and entrepreneurial containers, and help the government increase community income. The methods used in this activity are extension and training (field practice). The average pretest result regarding catfish cultivation was 35.5 and posttest 97 while the average pretest regarding kale cultivation was 36 and the average posttest was 98. This indicates that the training material can be understood by participants. Based on the evaluation of attitudes and behaviors, it was obtained that the participants of the activity had a high willingness to practice bulekang in their respective homes. This training is very useful to increase the creativity and income of citizens in pandemic times. Abstract

Kata Kunci: kader SMU, Thalassemia, Teman SebayaAbstractThalassemia is a genetic disease that causes decreasing or absence of hemoglobin, caused by a genetic mutation in the alpha gene or/and beta-globin gene. The main symptom is anemia which varies from moderate to severe which requires regular transfusions every month. Breaking the chain of Thalassemia or prevention is the only way in dealing with this genetic disease. Moreover, since young marriage (10-24 years) is common in Indonesia, education is needed regarding the recognition of the status and risk of this disease from an early age, before marriage, to stop the newborn with Thalassemia major. Addressing the above problems requires continuous information dissemination and training. One of these efforts is SAHABAT THALER, which is the movement of student cadres who understand and are ready to spread knowledge to the environment and peers. Taking advantage of extracurricular activities, knowledge of Thalassemia is expected to be effectively and efficiently disseminated, especially to individuals of childbearing age. This initiation activity began with online training for 20 student cadres and 1 supervisor. Training is provided by experts in Molecular Pharmacology, Clinical Pathology, Psychiatry, and parents of Thalassemia patients. The training includes getting to know the basics of Thalassemia, therapy, and screening for Thalassemia, the importance of blood donation, psychosocial aspects of Thalassemia, and sharing experiences of parents with Thalassemia. The cadres were then divided into 4 small groups and guided by the facilitator to then watch a documentary film about Thalassemia and create an independent project which was further disseminated to 83 peers. From 20 cadres, 17 complete response was received. From the response, 35.29% ever hear about Thalassemia and no one has family or friends with Thalassemia. However, they have a good knowledge of Thalassemia before the training is good (mean 90.16%, range 66.67-100%) and increase after the training (mean 91.67%, range 83.33-100%). After the training, four products which are two videos, one Instagram, and one poster were created and disseminated to the peers. The development of peer group cadres is necessary to increase the awareness of the genetic disease and the importance of pre-marital screening.Keyword: High School cadre, Peers, Thalassemia
