Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran tahfiz memerlukan adanya metode untuk memudahkan para santri menghapal Al-Qur''an, diantara metode yang ada adalah metode tikrar yang menggunakan teknik pengulangan dalam menghapal maupun menguatkan hapalan santri. dengan adanya metode tikrar ini para santri akan semakin mudah dalam menghapal dan muraja’ah Al-Qur’an. penelitian akan mendeskripsikan guna menggambarkan terkait realita yang ada di Pondok Pesantren Tahfiz Al-Faiz Kabupaten Deli serdang. Objek dari wawancara tersebut adalah guru-guru tahfiz dan santri-santri pondok pesantren Al-Faiz yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Adapun observasi yang dilakukan adalah dengan melihat secara langsung kegiatan pembelajaran tahfiz dan menghapal Al-Qur’an pondok pesantren Al-Faiz. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merangkum secara umum teknik menghapal AL-Qur'an dengan metode tikrar, lalu menjelaskan langkah-langkah maupun persiapan yang digunakan dalam menghapal AL-Qur'an sesuai dengan metode tikrar.lalu peneliti juga menjelaskan bagaimana implementasi pondok pesantren tahfiz Al-Faiz terhadap metode tikrarBerdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penting adanya satu sistem untuk mendorong santri dalam menghapal, diantara sistem tersebut adalah dengan menentukan metode menghapal yang sesuai dengan santri tersebut. Maka metode Tikrar merupakan salah satu metode yang sesuai dengan pembelajaran Tahfiz dikarenakan menggunakan metode yang simpel dan efektif. Metode tikrar ini juga banyak ditemui di pondok pesantren tahfiz lainnya dan dapat ditemukan memberikan hasil yang cukup memuaskan. Metode tikrar juga memiliki beberapa langkah yang akan diterapkan oleh guru maupun santri yang terlibat didalamnya. Diantaranya seperti tahap implementasi, langkah menghapal maupun cara mengkuatkan hapalan dengan muraja’ah. Begitu juga perlu adanya penyimakan oleh guru maupun partner dari santri yang menghapal Al-Qur’an agar santri bisa mengetahui kesalahan dari hapalan yang ia bacakan maupun muraja’ahkan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the urgency of the Islamic Living Guidelines for Muhammadiyah Citizens (PHIWM) as a normative and practical guide in facing the challenges of moral degradation in the modern era. PHIWM is a set of values and norms derived from the Qur'an and As-Sunnah to serve as a pattern for the behavior of Muhammadiyah members. The method used in this research is qualitative with a library research approach. The primary data source is the decision of the 44th Muhammadiyah Congress in 2000 regarding PHIWM. The results show that PHIWM covers broad dimensions of life, ranging from personal life, family, community, organization, to nation and state life. The actualization of PHIWM values is highly relevant for shaping the character of Muhammadiyah members who possess a balance between individual piety (habluminallah) and social piety (habluminannas), as well as serving as a solution to the crisis of exemplary leadership in society.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the motivations of students in choosing the English Education major at the Faculty of Tadris and Tarbiyah, UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu, cohort 2024, and to analyze their influence on academic achievement. This research employed a qualitative descriptive design using in-depth interviews with three students representing both male and female perspectives, supported by observations and relevant document studies. The findings reveal that student motivations differ according to gender: female students are primarily driven by intrinsic factors, such as personal interest in English, enjoyment of learning, and the aspiration to become educators, while male students tend to emphasize extrinsic factors, including career prospects, financial independence, and parental support. Some students exhibit a combination of intrinsic and extrinsic motivations, where personal interest is reinforced by external encouragement. Motivation was found to significantly impact academic achievement: intrinsic motivation fosters deep engagement, active participation, and additional learning efforts, whereas extrinsic motivation promotes goal-oriented behavior, discipline, and consistency in completing assignments. Understanding these motivational differences and their effects on academic performance is crucial for educators to design supportive learning environments that meet diverse student needs and enhance overall academic success.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of instructional video media in improving Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning outcomes for eighth-grade students of class VIII-3 at SMPN 1 Padang Gelugur. This study uses a qualitative approach carried out through three stages, namely the planning stage, implementation stage, and reporting of research results. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. In the planning stage, the teacher prepares the Lesson Plan (RPP), selects video media appropriate to the material on believing in the books of Allah, and adjusts the video duration so that learning runs effectively and efficiently. The implementation stage is carried out by presenting the instructional video, followed by dividing students into discussion groups to discuss the Zabur, Taurat, Injil, and Al-Qur’an. The teacher then provides additional explanations, evaluations, and assignments to the students. The results of observations and interviews indicate that the use of learning video media can increase students' interest, activeness, and understanding in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. This has an impact on improving students' learning outcomes, as shown by an average score of 80, which is above the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM), compared to before the use of learning video media. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of learning video media is effective in improving learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education and creating a more engaging and meaningful learning process. Abstract

The teacher is the most important element in the world of education. In teaching and learning activities, teachers must be able to develop strategies so that students are able to participate in these learning activities, so that the objectives of learning activities can be achieved. It is good classroom management that the teacher can apply so that learning activities run according to purpose. This study aims to determine that teacher’s role in carrying out classroom management planning, the implementation of strategies carried out by the teacher of effective classroom management, and the indicators used to measure the success of classroom management and the evaluation results by the teacher. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by conducting interviews and observations of class IV, V, homeroom teachers and principals at SDN Cisaat Tengah District of Serang, as well as grade IV students. The results of this study indicate that the teacher’s role in implementing classroom management in grade IV is quite good. Where the teacher has been able to apply his role as a good teacher in managing the class, implementing strategic apporoaches and classroom management techinques quite well. But indeed there are still afew shortcomings where the teacher is still very lacking in applying the discussion and debate method.

Abstract

Character refers to the traits, morals, and ethical values that distinguish one individual from another. Character development is not an instant process; it requires time, consistency, and a supportive environment. Like a solid building that needs a strong foundation, character must be nurtured from an early age. Therefore, instilling character in early childhood is essential, particularly through a school culture-based approach. This study aims to explore the development of character building among children aged 4-5 years at TKN Beiposo through the implementation of school cultural values. The data were collected using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results indicate that character building in schools must be carried out through habituation, teacher modeling, and support from both school stakeholders and parents at home. The implementation of school culture in character education includes teaching children values such as discipline, honesty, responsibility, and mutual help. Thus, a consistently applied school culture can serve as an effective medium for developing strong character in early childhood

Abstract

This study aims to examine how extracurricular activities contribute to the development of students’ interests and talents within the school environment. Extracurricular activities serve as a strategic platform for exploring students’ potential beyond the scope of intraclass learning. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The study participants included students, extracurricular activity supervisors, and the principal of a public junior high school. The results show that extracurricular programs such as scouting, traditional dance, choir, and sports significantly enhance students’ active participation, self-confidence, and social skills. Moreover, these activities provide opportunities for students to express their interests and cultivate their talents according to their individual potentials. The study recommends that schools place greater emphasis on structured and continuous extracurricular development as an integral part of character building and non-academic achievement.

Abstract

Writing skills are seen as a difficult skill, this is based on the fact that the writing process requires the involvement of many skills at once, including reading, writing, thinking and reasoning about the object that will be the topic of the writing, based on this, this article will discuss and present the results of a literature study regarding the impact of the physical environment of schools on the descriptive text writing skills of elementary school students. The findings obtained from this review of research results indicate that the physical environment of schools presents great potential for pedagogical applications, especially as a resource to facilitate the teaching of descriptive texts in elementary education. The real school environment, including architectural structures, infrastructure provisions, botanical elements, and various phenomena that can be observed near students, plays an important role in providing a contextual, empirically verifiable, and meaningful learning environment. This direct experience engagement fosters a strong stimulus for students, encouraging sharp observation, sensory perception, and concrete information processing, thus empowering them to articulate their conceptualizations into clear and detailed descriptive text formats. Thus, the use of the school's physical environment as a learning resource in descriptive text learning is in line with the demands of the 2025 National Curriculum which emphasizes contextual learning, strengthening literacy, and developing students' productive language skills.

Abstract

The application of systematic instructional methods in the teaching of classical Islamic texts plays an important role in achieving learning objectives, enhancing students’ understanding, and strengthening their memory of fiqh materials, particularly in the study of Safinatus Sholat. This study aims to analyze the optimization of the Tasyjir method or Mind Mapping (according to Tony Buzan) in the learning of Safinatus Sholat and its relevance to Fiqh learning at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah level. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was ensured through source triangulation. The findings indicate that: (1) the implementation of the Tasyjir method in learning Safinatus Sholat at Pondok Pesantren Darussunnah, Sragen, in the 2025–2026 academic year had a positive impact on students’ understanding of fiqh, as reflected in active interaction between students and teachers; (2) the Tasyjir method contributed to improving students’ conceptual understanding of fiqh learning in a more systematic manner; and (3) the method strengthened students’ memory of the content of the studied text through structured visual representation. However, several inhibiting factors were identified, including limited instructional time and differences in students’ abilities to quickly process and comprehend visual information.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research question is whether local culture-based digital illustrated storytelling media effectively improves fifth grade students' narrative writing skills at SD Negeri 02 Giriwondo in the 2025/2026 academic year. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of local culture-based digital illustrated storytelling media in improving fifth grade students' narrative writing skills at SD Negeri 02 Giriwondo in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research is a quantitative study. It uses a quasi-experimental or pretest-posttest control group design involving two groups. The first group was given treatment, using digital, illustrated storytelling media based on local culture to teach narrative writing skills. The second group was the control group, using conventional methods (lectures). Based on the results of data processing and hypothesis testing, as well as discussion, it can be concluded: The learning outcomes of improving the ability to write narrative texts in grade V of SD Negeri 02 Giriwondo Karanganyar using the lecture method (control class) are categorized as low with an average value of 75.83, the learning outcomes of improving the ability to write narrative texts in grade V of SD Negeri 02 Giriwondo Karanganyar using digital picture story media based on local culture in (experimental class) are categorized as high with an average value of 8.39. ABSTRAK Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah media cerita bergambar digital berbasis budaya lokal efektif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan teks narasi pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 02 Giriwondo Tahun Pelajaran 2025/20226. Adaoun tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji efektivitas media cerita bergambar digital berbasis budaya lokal dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan teks narasi pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 02 Giriwondo Tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan bentuk penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian quasi eksperimen atau pretest-posttest control group design yang melibatkan dua kelompok. Kelomopk pertama yaitu kelompok yang diberi perlakuan dengan menerapkan menggunakan media cerita bergambar digital berbasis budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran kemampuan menulis narasi. Kelompok kedua adalah kelompok kontrol, yaitu kelompok yang menggunakan metode konvensional (ceramah). Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data dan pengujian hipotesis serta pembahasan, maka dapat disimpulkan: Hasil pembelajaran meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan teks narasi kelas V SD Negeri 02 Giriwondo Karanganyar dengan menggunakan metode ceramah (kelas kontrol) dikategorikan kurang dengan nilai rata-rata 75,83, hasil pembelajaran meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan teks narasi kelas V SD Negeri 02 Giriwondo Karanganyar dengan menggunakan media cerita bergambar digital berbasis budaya lokal pada (kelas eksperimen) dikategorikan tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 8,39.
