Abstract

This study aims to analyze the conformity of procedures and the readiness of safety equipment in handling Man Overboard (MOB) incidents on board KM. Pantokrator. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation study of the ship's Safety Management System (SMS). The results show that the level of conformity in the implementation of MOB procedures reaches 84.6%, where out of 13 procedural steps, 11 were implemented and 2 were not carried out. Several discrepancies were found, particularly in aspects of communication, compliance with procedures, and reporting documentation. From the perspective of safety equipment readiness, the findings indicate that all equipment meets availability standards in accordance with SOLAS requirements, but is not yet optimal in terms of operational readiness. This is evidenced by the ineffective use of the rescue boat, which experienced delays in operation due to the engine condition being rarely used. As a result, the evacuation process was carried out alternatively by the crew using manual methods. Safety equipment such as life jackets and lifebuoys functioned properly, while other equipment was not utilized due to situational considerations. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that although the safety system and equipment are available in accordance with standards, improvements are needed in the areas of equipment maintenance, communication optimization, and reporting accuracy to enhance the effectiveness of emergency handling on board

Abstract

The management of facilities and infrastructure is a crucial factor in enhancing learning effectiveness in primary schools. The availability and optimal utilization of educational facilities create a comfortable learning environment that supports the achievement of learning objectives. However, challenges persist in this area, such as budget constraints, a lack of technology-based facilities, and suboptimal facility maintenance. This study aims to analyze the management of facilities and infrastructure in supporting learning effectiveness at SD Negeri 15 Ternate City. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with the principal, teachers, and educational staff serving as research subjects. Data collection involved observation, structured interviews, and documentation, while data analysis proceeded through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that facility and infrastructure management has been implemented effectively through a school-based management approach involving the entire school community. The utilization of classrooms, the library, learning media, and the school environment supports the learning process, fostering a comfortable and conducive atmosphere. Nevertheless, certain obstacles remain, including budget limitations, a shortage of management personnel, damage to some facilities, and a scarcity of technology-based learning media. The school’s efforts to address these issues include optimizing the use of existing facilities, fostering collaboration among the school community, and continuously improving management practices. Thus, effective management of facilities and infrastructure contributes positively to enhancing learning effectiveness and the quality of education in primary schools.

Abstract

The digital transformation of public services has encouraged BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to develop the Jamsostek Mobile (JMO) application to facilitate access to Old Age Security (JHT) services. However, various user complaints regarding system errors, login difficulties, and other technical issues indicate that the electronic service quality of the JMO application still requires improvement. This study aims to analyze the effect of the e-service quality of the Jamsostek Mobile (JMO) application on the satisfaction of Old Age Security (JHT) beneficiaries at the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Bukittinggi Branch Office. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The e-service quality variable was measured using the E-S-QUAL model developed by Parasuraman, Zeithaml, and Malhotra (2005), while user satisfaction was measured using the End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model developed by Doll and Torkzadeh (1988). Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents selected using an accidental sampling technique and analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS version 21. The results indicate that e-service quality has a positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of JHT beneficiaries, as evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and a calculated t value of 14.832, which is higher than the t table value of 1.98525. The coefficient of determination shows that e-service quality explains 69.8% of the variance in user satisfaction, while the remaining 30.2% is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. These findings confirm that improving electronic service quality, particularly in terms of efficiency, fulfillment, system availability, and privacy, plays an important role in enhancing user satisfaction with the Jamsostek Mobile (JMO) application as a digital service platform of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.

Abstract

This study was motivated by elementary school students' low level of civic knowledge regarding rights and obligations and the limited use of digital learning media capable of presenting learning materials in a contextual and engaging manner. The study aimed to develop a Book Creator-based digital storybook on the topic of rights and obligations, determine the feasibility of the developed media, describe teachers' and students' responses to the media, and examine its effectiveness in improving fourth-grade students' civic knowledge. This study employed the Design and Development (D&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants were one fourth-grade teacher and 22 fourth-grade students at SDN Percobaan. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, expert validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest instruments. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques, while the effectiveness of the media was examined using the N-Gain test, normality test, and t-test. The findings indicated that the digital storybook was categorized as highly feasible based on evaluations from subject matter, media, and language experts. Teachers' and students' responses were also categorized as very positive. Furthermore, the findings demonstrated that the digital storybook effectively improved students' civic knowledge, as reflected by higher posttest scores than pretest scores, a moderate N-Gain category, and a statistically significant difference between students' learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the media. Therefore, the Book Creator-based digital storybook is feasible and effective as a learning medium for Pancasila Education on the topic of rights and obligations in elementary schools.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of principals' leadership mindset, the strategies for internalizing educational policies, the factors influencing the internalization process, and the effectiveness of educational policy implementation at SD Negeri Kalirejo Bangil and SD Islam KHA. Wakhid Hasyim Bangil. This research employed a qualitative approach using a multi-case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving principals, teachers, educational staff, and other stakeholders. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data display, conclusion drawing, as well as within-case and cross-case analyses. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the principals of both schools demonstrate a leadership mindset oriented toward change, educational quality improvement, and the development of a positive school culture, although these orientations are implemented differently according to the characteristics of each institution. The internalization strategies include intensive communication, exemplary leadership, teacher development, academic supervision, strengthening school culture, and involving all school members in implementing educational programs. Supporting factors include teachers' commitment, a conducive school culture, stakeholder support, and participative leadership, while inhibiting factors consist of differences in understanding, time constraints, administrative workload, and resistance to change. Although the implementation of educational policies in both schools has been effective, different approaches are evident. SD Negeri Kalirejo Bangil emphasizes bureaucratic, coordinative, and administrative aspects, whereas SD Islam KHA. Wakhid Hasyim Bangil prioritizes cultural, religious, and family-oriented approaches in the policy internalization process. This study concludes that the successful internalization of educational policies is determined by the principal's ability to build collective awareness, foster a positive organizational culture, and create synergy between educational policies and the characteristics of the school environment.
