Abstract

This study is motivated by a gap between the PAUD Process Standards and actual practice at TK Darul Uchwah, Jakarta—particularly the readiness of RPPM/RPPH documents, a tendency toward cognitive emphasis, and limited facilities. The study aims to describe and analyze Process-Standards–based instructional management through the POAC functions. A qualitative–descriptive approach was used with interviews, observations, and document analysis; participants included the principal, teachers, and children. The theoretical framework refers to G.R. Terry’s POAC and Mulyasa’s instructional management. Findings include: (1) planning is tiered from the academic calendar–Prota–Promes–CP/ATP to RPPM/RPPH, internally verified, flexible in classroom use, and integrates STPPA and value reinforcement; (2) organizing clarifies the principal’s role as in-class mentor and teachers as daily managers, arranges learning centers and manipulatives, and groups children by age with in-class differentiation; (3) actuating follows an opening–core–closing sequence, applies a simplified scientific approach, provides choice of activities, documents processes and products via checklists/worksheets and anecdotal records, and blends visual and concrete media; (4) controlling includes device verification, semesterly supervision, ongoing authentic assessment, physical monitoring, and daily–semester follow-up. The study concludes that Process-Standards–based instructional management at TK Darul Uchwah operates effectively and aligns with POAC, though challenges remain regarding attendance and facilities. This implementation can serve as a reference for continuous improvement in other PAUD settings through strengthened planning SOPs, robust documentation of authentic assessment, parent partnerships, and phased facility development.

Abstract

This study discusses the concept of educational motivation in elementary schools and its role in improving the quality of learning and student engagement. The purpose of this study is to explain the meaning and objectives of educational motivation, motivation theories according to McClelland, McGregor, Maslow, and Herzberg, factors that influence student learning motivation, and managerial strategies for improving learning motivation in elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research. Data were obtained through a review of textbooks, scientific journals, and various sources of literature relevant to educational motivation. The results of the study show that educational motivation is an important component in the learning process that serves to encourage student engagement, perseverance, and achievement. Learning motivation is influenced by internal factors such as interest, personal goals, and self-confidence, as well as external factors such as the role of teachers, parental support, and the school environment. The application of appropriate managerial strategies, such as meaningful learning, the use of interactive media, and professional support for teachers, plays an important role in optimally increasing student learning motivation. Thus, managing educational motivation is key to realizing quality learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Cooperative Learning model on the reading skills of second-grade students at Sidomukti 02 Elementary School. The study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of the One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The study subjects consisted of 20 second-grade students. Data collection was carried out through reading ability tests, including reading aloud and reading comprehension tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-tests. The results showed that the average student reading ability increased from 58.20 in the pretest to 82.40 in the posttest. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant value between the pretest and posttest scores (p=0.000<0.05), indicating a significant difference between students' reading abilities before and after the treatment. Thus, it can be concluded that the Cooperative Learning model has a significant effect on improving the reading abilities of second-grade students at Sidomukti 02 Elementary School

Abstract

The national economic structure reflects the composition and interconnection of economic sectors that determine a country’s development direction and welfare level. Indonesia, as a developing country with abundant natural resources and a large population, continues to face challenges in transforming its economic structure from a primary-sector-based economy toward a more productive industrial and service-oriented economy. This article aims to analyze the concept of the national economic structure, the role of economic institutions, market mechanisms, and economic sectors in supporting sustainable national development. This study employs a literature review method by examining books, official reports, and recent academic sources relevant to national economic development. The findings indicate that a balanced and integrated economic structure strengthens economic resilience, encourages inclusive growth, expands employment opportunities, and enhances national competitiveness. Structural transformation supported by effective policies, strong institutions, and human resource development is crucial to achieving equitable and sustainable economic growth. Therefore, strengthening the national economic structure is a strategic necessity for Indonesia in responding to global economic dynamics.

Abstract

Spatial analysis has become an essential approach in understanding social phenomena that are closely related to geographic location and spatial distribution. This article aims to examine methods and techniques of spatial analysis based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and their application in social studies. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing recent and relevant theoretical sources related to GIS, spatial analysis, and social mapping. The results show that spatial analysis techniques such as buffering, overlay, hotspot analysis, kernel density estimation, and nearest neighbor analysis are effective tools for identifying social inequality, accessibility of public services, vulnerability to disasters, and regional development priorities. Furthermore, the integration of GIS and participatory social mapping strengthens evidence-based policymaking and supports sustainable and inclusive development. Therefore, spatial analysis is not merely a technical tool but a scientific approach that links social data with spatial context to improve the quality of planning and decision-making.

Abstract

This study examines the collaborative methods of moral development implemented by Islamic Education teachers (PAI), Guidance and Counseling teachers (BK), subject teachers, and homeroom teachers in addressing students’ negative behavior at SMPN 16 South Jakarta. Moral issues among adolescents such as bullying, truancy, smoking, disrespect toward teachers, verbal aggression, and vandalism require an integrated and systematic approach. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a case study design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The participants included PAI teachers, BK teachers, subject teachers, homeroom teachers, and selected students. The findings show that the collaborative moral development in the school is carried out through various methods, including role modeling, habituation, advice, storytelling, motivation, peer influence, cause and effect explanation, discipline, and educative punishment. These methods are applied through coordinated communication and shared responsibility among teachers. Collaboration enhances consistency in moral guidance and enables teachers to more effectively identify students’ behavioral problems while ensuring appropriate follow-up actions.This study concludes that collaborative methods significantly strengthen the effectiveness of moral development, foster positive student behavior, and support the creation of a holistic character education environment in schools.

Abstract

Ideally, Islamic education should not only focus on the transfer of religious knowledge, but also on the formation of systematic, disciplined, and responsible thinking patterns in the management of knowledge. However, the reality of contemporary Islamic education shows a weak epistemological framework of learning, overlapping material, and low methodological consistency, which results in ineffective learning management. In this context, Imam Syafi'i's thinking is considered relevant to be re-examined as the epistemological and managerial foundation of Islamic education. This study aims to describe the concept of scientific discipline according to Imam Syafi'i and analyze its relevance to contemporary Islamic education learning management. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research, sourced from Imam Syafi'i's primary works, particularly al-Risālah and al-Umm, as well as relevant secondary literature. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis with a descriptive-interpretative and historical-philosophical approach. The results of the study show that the discipline of Imam Syafi'i's thinking is built on three main principles, namely tartib al-adab, intizam al-wad', and istiqamah al-manhaj, which integrally form an epistemological and managerial framework for learning. These three principles are strongly relevant to the functions of Islamic education learning management, which include planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating (POAC). This study confirms that Imam Syafi'i's thinking is not only of historical-normative value but also has practical significance in developing a systematic, disciplined, and character-building approach to Islamic education management that focuses on the holistic development of students' scientific character.

Abstract

Islamic character values that include piety, honesty, discipline, tolerance, and social concern must be internalized from an early age. To address the challenges of internalization that tend to be rigid, approaches through art, particularly visual expression, become relevant. Visual arts, like drawing, are the universal language of children that facilitate authentic self-expression, where emotions, understanding, and values can be realized without verbal barriers, thus becoming a potential medium for instilling character. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature review or by looking at previous research as reference material in article writing. Based on the results of the research obtained, children's drawings can be a very effective foundation for knowing character education in children. In addition, it helps shape children into better individuals, have strong characters, balance emotionally, intellectually, socially, and spiritually. Integrative in character education through religion and art provides significant theoretical benefits in synthesizing the philosophy of Islamic education, fine arts education, and the psychology of child development.

Abstract

This study examines the methik and ngambeng pari traditions as part of the local wisdom upheld by the farming community of Dukuh Beber, Desa Kejene, which remain preserved within the rice cultivation cycle. These traditions are rooted in strong agrarian cultural values and are performed through meaningful ritual stages. The purpose of this research is to describe the procedural stages of the traditions and to understand farmers’ perceptions of the moral, social, and religious values embedded in them. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, analyzed through the Miles and Huberman model. The findings show that the methik tradition is performed in the rice field using symbolic offerings called cokbakal, while the ngambeng tradition involves a communal feast held at home after the harvest arrives. Interviews reveal that farmers regard the traditions as expressions of gratitude and ancestral heritage that must be preserved even though they do not technically affect crop yields. The discussion links these findings with previous studies that demonstrate similar harvest rituals across Indonesia. The study concludes that these traditions hold significant spiritual and social functions for the community and remain relevant as part of the cultural identity that deserves preservation.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology presents significant challenges in early childhood education, particularly in relation to parental assistance in children’s use of digital devices at home. Parents play a crucial role in shaping children’s digital habits; however, not all parents possess adequate digital literacy skills. This study aims to describe teachers’ strategies in educating parents of RA Intisyarul Ulum students to enhance digital literacy understanding in supporting early childhood development. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects included classroom teachers, the school principal, and parents of Group A students at RA Intisyarul Ulum. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that parents’ digital literacy understanding varies considerably. Teachers implemented several strategies to educate parents, including parent meetings, personal communication, and the use of school communication media. The educational efforts focused on increasing parents’ awareness of the positive and negative impacts of digital device use, the importance of parental guidance, and encouraging alternative non-digital educational activities for children. These strategies contributed to positive changes in parental attitudes toward guiding children’s digital use. The study highlights the importance of collaboration between teachers, parents, and schools in strengthening family digital literacy to support healthy early childhood development in the digital era.
