Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors causing low reading motivation in Indonesian language learning among fifth-grade students at SDN Telang 1. The background of this research stems from students’ low interest and participation in reading activities, which negatively affect their comprehension skills. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The research subjects were the teacher and fifth-grade students of SDN Telang 1. The findings reveal that the low reading motivation is influenced by two main factors: internal and external. Internal factors include low learning motivation, lack of reading habits, weak concentration, and limited preference for certain types of reading materials. External factors involve monotonous teaching strategies, inadequate school literacy facilities, lack of parental support, weak social environment influence, and limited variety of reading materials. These findings indicate that students’ low motivation to read is not solely due to their personal willingness but also due to an unsupportive learning environment. Therefore, improving reading literacy requires collaborative efforts among teachers, schools, and parents by providing engaging literacy facilities, applying creative teaching strategies, and fostering consistent reading habits. Keywords: reading motivation, literacy, Indonesian language learning, internal factors, external factors ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab rendahnya motivasi membaca dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas V SDN Telang 1. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya minat dan partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan membaca, yang berdampak pada lemahnya kemampuan memahami isi bacaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru dan siswa kelas V SDN Telang 1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab rendahnya motivasi membaca dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor utama, yaitu faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi rendahnya motivasi belajar, kurangnya kebiasaan membaca, lemahnya konsentrasi, serta keterbatasan minat terhadap jenis bacaan tertentu. Faktor eksternal meliputi strategi pembelajaran guru yang monoton, kurangnya fasilitas literasi di sekolah, minimnya dukungan orang tua, lemahnya pengaruh lingkungan sosial, serta keterbatasan variasi bahan bacaan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa rendahnya motivasi membaca tidak hanya disebabkan oleh kemauan siswa, tetapi juga oleh lingkungan belajar yang kurang mendukung. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan literasi membaca perlu dilakukan secara kolaboratif antara guru, sekolah, dan orang tua melalui penyediaan sarana literasi yang menarik, strategi pembelajaran yang kreatif, dan pembiasaan membaca yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research was motivated by observations showing low initial reading skills in students. It was found that students had difficulty identifying vowels and consonants and arranging these letters into syllables and forming complete words from these syllables. This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of the use of paper media on the basic reading skills of children in grade 2 of SD Negeri 2 Puding Besar. We applied a quantitative approach through an experimental method, specifically with a pre-experimental design called a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through objective tests in the form of multiple-choice questions. The sample involved consisted of 27 grade 2 students at the school. The results of the study were analyzed using a Paired Samples T-Test. The average score before using the card media was 44.444, while after using the card media it increased to 75.556. With a significance threshold of 0.000 (<0.05), the computed t-value of 17.314 shows a significant difference between the scores before and after the intervention. Consequently, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. This indicates that using the cards has, in fact, improved the second-grade kids' basic reading abilities at SD Negeri 2 Puding Besar. Keywords: Card Media, Early Reading Skills Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil observasi yang menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan membaca awal pada siswa. Ditemukan bahwa para siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengenali huruf vokal dan konsonan, serta dalam menyusun huruf-huruf tersebut menjadi suku kata dan membentuk kata utuh. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan media kartu terhadap kemampuan membaca dasar siswa di kelas II di SD Negeri 2 Puding Besar. Metode eksperimen yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Desain pra-eksperimen terdiri dari satu kelompok pre-eksperimen dan post-eksperimen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes objektif berbentuk pilihan ganda, dengan sampel sebanyak 27 siswa kelas II. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Paired Samples T-Test. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai sebelum menggunakan media kartu adalah 44,444, dan meningkat menjadi 75,556 setelah perlakuan. Nilai t hitung sebesar 17,314 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05) menandakan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media. Dengan demikian, hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, yang berarti kemampuan membaca dasar siswa kelas II SD Negeri 2 Puding Besar mengalami peningkatan melalui penggunaan media kartu. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi yang digunakan oleh guru untuk mewujudkan Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang tercermin dalam pendidikan karakter melalui teks naratif di SMP Negeri 36 Semarang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 36 Semarang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan strategi guru untuk mewujudkan Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang dapat tercermin dalam pendidikan karakter melalui teks naratif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas VII A SMP Negeri 36 Semarang yang terdiri dari 32 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat 2 strategi yang digunakan oleh guru untuk mewujudkan Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang dapat tercermin dalam pendidikan karakter peserta didik yang terdiri dari penerapan P5 (Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila) dan kegiatan pembiasaan. Peserta didik kelas VII A sudah menerapkan P5 (Penguatan Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila) dan kegiatan pembiasaan dengan baik. Dengan adanya strategi yang dilaksanakan oleh guru di harapkan peserta didik menjadi pribadi yang berkarakter sesuai dengan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Kata Kunci: Strategi, Profil Pelajar Pancasila, Pendidikan Karakter.

Abstract: Sunardin, The Role of Parents Towards Children. This study aims "Parents play a very important role in the lives of their children. Since birth, children are very dependent on parents to meet their basic needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter. However, the role of parents is not only limited to meeting basic needs. Parents also play a role in shaping the character, abilities, and future of their children. According to Hamalik (2011), a role is a certain pattern of behavior that is characteristic of all officers from a particular job or position. Through affection, support, and guidance, parents can help their children grow and develop into balanced and accomplished individuals. According to Willis (2010), parents are the father and mother of a child both through biological and social relationships. Parents are older people who are given the responsibility to care for and educate their children to become adults.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) on the basic inside-foot passing skills in soccer among eighth-grade students at SMP Islam Karawang. The research method employed was an experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 26 eighth-grade students selected through saturated sampling. The research instrument was a passing skill test based on standard soccer assessment criteria. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. A total of 23 students showed improvement in their skills, 1 student showed a decline, and 2 students remained unchanged. These findings demonstrate that the implementation of the NHT model has a significant effect on improving inside-foot passing skills. Therefore, the NHT model can be recommended as an alternative instructional strategy in physical education.

Abstract

Layanan bimbingan dan konseling (BK) di sekolah dasar berperan penting dalam membantu siswa menghadapi permasalahan pribadi, sosial, belajar, dan karier. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan layanan BK, mengidentifikasi permasalahan siswa, serta menganalisis peran guru dalam menanganinya melalui pendekatan terpadu. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan observasi lapangan dan wawancara mendalam, kemudian data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa mengalami kendala seperti kurang percaya diri, bullying, kesulitan belajar, dan belum terarah dalam cita-cita. Guru mengatasinya dengan konseling, pembiasaan positif, serta bimbingan sederhana yang didukung kolaborasi dengan orang tua dan sekolah. Kesimpulannya, layanan BK terpadu efektif membantu siswa mengatasi masalah sekaligus mengembangkan potensi diri sehingga tercipta lingkungan belajar yang kondusif.

Abstract

This study aims to develop integrated science teaching materials on the theme "Electricity in Living Creatures" by using the Four Step Teaching Material Development Method (4STMD) which includes the Selection, Structuring, Categorization and Reduction of Dactic stages. This research uses Research and Development (R & D) methods. The subject of this study is all science teaching materials on the theme of electricity in living things studied using the 4STMD method. The data in this study were captured by using various types of instruments that were rationally validated (logical) and empirical (empirical) by experts at each stage of development. Data from expert validation were analyzed using CVR and CVI and percentage analysis. The opinions of students regarding the instructional materials developed and the feasibility of the developed teaching materials were collected using questionnaires. As a development evaluation material in the development of teaching materials, the effectiveness of instructional materials on the thinking ability of knowledge integration in students is also tested. As a comparison, also tested the effectiveness of other teaching materials. The effectiveness test results show that students who use teaching materials developed using the 4STMD method have a higher score (65) compared to students who use other teaching materials (60).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of teacher professionalism and creativity on student learning outcomes, both partially and simultaneously, at Namira Private Junior High School, Medan. The sample size for this study was 156 respondents, using the Slovin formula. The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression. The results indicate that teacher professionalism has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes. Teacher creativity has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes. Abstract

Decentralization of education requires community involvement in school management through school committees as a form of school-based management. However, the level of school committee participation in strategic decision-making still varies, so it needs to be studied empirically. This study aims to analyze the influence of school committee participation on strategic decision-making in public elementary schools in the era of education decentralization. The research approach used a quantitative method with an explanatory design. The research sample consisted of 30 respondents, including 15 school principals and 15 committee members from 15 public elementary schools in Pasuruan Regency. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 26. The results showed a positive and significant influence between school committee participation and strategic decisionmaking (R = 0.712; R² = 0.507; Sig. = 0.000). This means that 50.7% of the variation in strategic decision effectiveness is explained by the level of school committee participation. The higher the committee's involvement in planning, implementing, and evaluating school programs, the more effective the strategic decision-making process will be. These findings emphasize the importance of applying the principles of good governance and school-based management in strengthening participatory, transparent, and accountable education governance.

Abstract

Bimbingan dan konseling berperan penting dalam membantu siswa menghadapi berbagai masalah pribadi, sosial, belajar, dan karier. Layanan ini tidak hanya memberikan solusi terhadap masalah, tetapi juga membantu siswa memahami kemampuan diri mereka sendiri serta mengembangkan rasa mandiri dan keseimbangan emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana tiga pendekatan utama dalam bimbingan dan konseling diterapkan, yaitu psikoanalisis, person-centered, dan kognitif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai artikel, buku, dan jurnal yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan psikoanalisis fokus pada pemulihan konflik masa lalu, pendekatan person-centered lebih menekankan hubungan yang penuh empati dan kemandirian siswa, sedangkan pendekatan kognitif berupaya mengubah pola pikir dan perilaku yang tidak sehat. Kesimpulannya, ketiga pendekatan ini saling melengkapi dan dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan bimbingan, serta membantu siswa tumbuh menjadi individu yang mandiri, positif, dan memiliki kepribadian yang sehat.
