Abstract

Islamic education learning aims to develop students' morals, morals and spirituality, as well as help students understand the teachings of Islam and apply them in everyday life. In Islamic education learning, the scientific learning approach can be used to help students understand religious teachings more deeply and apply them in everyday life. The methodology used in this article is literature research or literature review. The author searches and selects literature related to scientific learning and Islamic education from various sources such as journals, books, articles, and websites. After that, the author processes the information found to be analyzed and associated with scientific learning in Islamic education. The results show that scientific learning is a learning approach that allows students to develop critical thinking skills and find solutions to problems using scientific methods. In religious learning, Curriculum 2013 prioritizes religious learning that touches on aspects of students' daily lives. Students are invited to develop an understanding of religious teachings that are relevant to everyday life and apply them in everyday life. The learning process with a scientific approach uses 5 M steps in learning activities: observing, questioning, gathering information (experimentation), associating (processing information), and communicating.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the content and moral education values contained in the book Adab al-‘Ālim wa al-Muta‘allim by KH. Hasyim Asy‘ari. This book is one of the intellectual heritages of pesantren that places morality (akhlaq) as the core of Islamic education. The research focuses on two main questions: (1) what is the content structure of the book Adab al-‘Ālim wa al-Muta‘allim; and (2) how are the values of moral education represented within it. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a library research approach. The primary data source is the original text of the book and its translation, while secondary data are obtained from relevant books, journals, articles, and previous studies. Data analysis is conducted using a descriptive-thematic technique by reading, classifying, and categorizing the book’s quotations into personal, social, and spiritual moral values. The findings show that the book consists of seven main sections discussing the virtues of knowledge, manners of students and teachers, etiquette toward books, ethics in discussions, choosing study partners, and the ideal traits of both teachers and students. The moral values identified include sincerity, patience, responsibility, discipline, humility, respect for teachers, polite communication, solidarity, love, mindfulness, trust in God (tawakkal), and self-purification (tazkiyah an-nafs). These values form an integrated character education system, in which personal morality strengthens social morality, and spiritual morality becomes the foundation of character formation. The study concludes that Adab al-‘Ālim wa al-Muta‘allim embodies Islamic educational principles relevant to addressing moral degradation in the modern era, serving as a valuable reference for character-based Islamic education curricula in both pesantren and formal education settings.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the Mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 037 Karya Indah through the implementation of the cooperative learning model Group Investigation (GI). This Classroom Action Research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The research procedures included planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The instructional material focused on prism geometry in the first cycle and cylinder geometry in the second cycle. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activities as well as assessments of student learning outcomes. The findings indicate a consistent improvement in learning mastery. Prior to the intervention, the mastery level was 33.33%. In cycle I, it increased to 63.33% in the first meeting and 73.33% in the second meeting. In cycle II, mastery rose to 80% in the first meeting and reached 86.67% in the second meeting. These results demonstrate that the Group Investigation model enhances student engagement, strengthens conceptual understanding, and significantly improves learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of a Hybrid Curriculum Model at MI Tahfizh Cendekia Pekanbaru, which combines the national “Merdeka Curriculum” with two institution-based curricula: the Cinta Curriculum (character and worship habituation) and the Makkiyah Curriculum (Qur’an memorization). A qualitative case study was used, involving observation, interviews with principals and teachers, and documentation analysis (ATP, lesson modules, schedules). Data were analyzed using the Miles–Huberman interactive model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Findings reveal that curriculum integration is conducted through block scheduling and alignment of learning objectives. Morning sessions are allocated for tahfizh (Makkiyah), mid-day sessions for character habituation (Cinta), and afternoon sessions for academic learning (Merdeka). This structure enables balanced learning outcomes: academic improvement in literacy and numeracy, strengthened spiritual dimension through stable memorization and worship habits, and enhanced emotional–character development such as calmness, discipline, and respect for teachers. Challenges arise in time synchronization, teacher readiness in managing three curricula, and the need for authentic assessment. These challenges are addressed through internal training, mentoring, and portfolio-based assessment. The study concludes that the Hybrid Curriculum Model allows tahfizh-based schools to maintain their Qur’anic identity while meeting national academic standards. This model may serve as a reference for other Islamic schools integrating character, spirituality, and academic excellence.

Abstract

Parents tend to prioritize intellectual development over character building, which ultimately has a negative impact on the quality of students' character. This study aims to examine the program, implementation, and supporting and inhibiting factors in scouting activities to build student character. This study is a qualitative study with a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects involved include scout leaders and students who participate in scouting activities. Data were collected through observation, research, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings of the study show that, first, programs for children include activities such as camping, skills, scout competitions, and social activities. Teaching character values, skills training and preparation, camping and field activities, team or troop formation, scout leaders, evaluation and awards, and activity scheduling are other components of the scout program. The third factor in character development programs is school commitment, the presence of experienced scout leaders, student activities, and interpersonal relationships, while the fourth factor consists of daytime stress, available time, and student awareness and interest.

Abstract

Reading is receptive or accepting activity. The reading activity of some students is considered not a necessity or a necessity. In fact, reading activities need to be taught or familiarized as early as possible. The ability to read does not come alone, suddenly, or just come, but requires a process of practice or practice continuously, and has a clear purpose. A person who has good reading skills will think critically and have good understanding. The obstacles experienced by students in reading are students who consider reading trivial or trivial things. Then, students only carelessly read or did not have a clear purpose. There are several causes of low student reading ability, namely the lack of examples or exemplary parents or teachers in reading books, lack of reading material, environmental factors, and effective education strategies or reading techniques. Learning in the 2013 curriculum implements a scientific approach. The scientific approach is an approach that focuses on science, facts, phenomena, and context. Some learning models that use a scientific approach such as discovery learning, project based learning, problem based learning, and inquiry learning. In optimizing reading learning requires an effective approach or model. One of them is the scientific approach with a problem based learning model. The problem based learning model requires students to think critically in solving problems in both learning and everyday life. The research design used in this study used a pre-experimental design with type one group pretest posttest design. In the application of the one-group pretest-posttest design there is the application of pretest or initial test before treatment and posttest or test given treatment with a problem based learning model. Then, the results before and after given treatment are compared to find out the effectiveness of the problem based learning model in learning to read the description text in class VII-E students of SMP Negeri 6 Subang. Stages of statistical calculations start from searching for the average value, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The average pretest is 53.3, while the posttest average value is 73.1. From the results of the average value before and after it can be compared that there is a difference in value of 19.8. The normality test is known that the pretest significance value is 0.200, while for the posttest value is 0.200. The homogeneity test can be seen from the significance value of the pretest and posttest is 0.342. Hypothesis testing the significance value of pretest and posttest is 0,000. So, there is a difference between the average test scores before and after being treated with a competitive approach with the problem based learning model in reading the description text.

Abstract

Madrasah quality is data and information, quality includes: a. educational results; b. educational content; c. educational process; d. educational assessment; e. teachers and education personnel; f. educational infrastructure; g. education financing; and h. education management. The aims of this study were: 1) to find out the influence of the madrasa head's managerial competence on the quality of the madrasah primary school. 2) determine the magnitude of the influence of madrasa culture on the quality of madrasas. 3) knowing the magnitude of the influence of the teacher's work discipline together on the quality of Islamic elementary schools. 4) knowing the magnitude of the influence of the managerial competence of the madrasah head, madrasa culture and teacher work discipline together on the quality of the madrasah primary school. The population of this study was 263 MI NU teachers in Kendal Regency. A sample of 159 teachers was taken by proportional random sampling. Data collection by questionnaire. Data analysis techniques with descriptive data analysis, prerequisite tests which include normality tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, linearity tests and hypothesis tests include simple and multiple linear regression. The results showed that: 1) the managerial competency of the madrasah principal affected the quality of the Madrasah 81.1% with the regression equation Ŷ = 11,190 + 0.781X1 with a correlation coefficient of 0.901. 2) Madrasah culture affects the quality of Madrasahs by 75.6% with the regression equation Ŷ = 8.685 + 0.740 X2 with a correlation coefficient of 0.869. 3) Teacher work discipline affects quality by 81.8% with the equation Ŷ = 11.942 + 0.743 X3 with a correlation coefficient of 0.905. 4) Madrasah Principal Managerial Competence, madrasa culture and work discipline have an effect on Madrasah quality by 91.22% with the equation Ŷ = 1.386 + 0.184 X1 + 0.381 X2 + 0.395 X3. Then the value of the correlation coefficient r is equal to 0.910. Based on the research results, it is recommended that the head of the madrasa conduct guidance and direction to teachers, especially so that they can improve and develop madrasa management, then teachers can also attend training and seminars so that they can improve work discipline and work culture so that the quality of madrasas can increase. Madrasah heads can reflect and self-evaluate by increasing competence in leadership and managerial by making administrative arrangements and structured management.

Abstract

Di tengah arus globalisasi, pendidikan dasar berperan penting tidak hanya sebagai sarana transfer pengetahuan, tetapi juga sebagai ruang pembentukan identitas dan karakter peserta didik. Tantangan yang dihadapi sekolah saat ini adalah bagaimana mempertahankan nilai-nilai budaya lokal melalui pembelajaran yang bermakna. Penelitian ini berangkat dari pentingnya memahami dinamika interaksi antara guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal, karena interaksi tersebut menjadi kunci keberhasilan penginternalisasian nilai budaya di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pola interaksi guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal di SDN 2 Bokat. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi guru dan siswa tidak hanya bersifat instruksional, tetapi juga kultural dan emosional. Guru memanfaatkan unsur kearifan lokal seperti tari Monamot dan tradisi Mopallus (gotong royong) sebagai media pembelajaran sekaligus sarana mempererat hubungan edukatif. Pola interaksi yang muncul bersifat partisipatif, dialogis, dan kontekstual, menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif dan bermakna. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kualitas interaksi antara guru dan siswa berperan penting dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal serta berimplikasi pada penguatan kesadaran budaya di lingkungan sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Transformasi digital global telah menciptakan kebutuhan mendesak akan tenaga kerja terampil di bidang teknologi informasi, sementara pendidikan formal belum sepenuhnya mampu memenuhinya. Kondisi ini membuka ruang bagi lembaga pendidikan nonformal untuk berperan sebagai alternatif strategis dalam pengembangan kompetensi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model pendidikan nonformal di Makassar Coding, mencakup aspek kurikulum, strategi pembelajaran, sistem evaluasi, serta jaringan kemitraan industri. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan analisis dokumen. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Makassar Coding menerapkan kurikulum berbasis industri dengan proporsi 80% praktik dan 20% teori melalui metode project-based learning. Sistem evaluasi berbasis portofolio dan sertifikasi ganda terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi dan penyerapan lulusan di dunia kerja. Hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kompetensi instruktur, perluasan jaringan industri, serta pengembangan dukungan alumni sebagai upaya menuju pendidikan nonformal yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan terhadap dinamika kebutuhan industri.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education in dance learning at SD Negeri 20 Gumarang. Character education has an important role in shaping students' personality and morality, and dance can be an effective means of developing that character. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. The research subjects consisted of dance teachers and lower grade students at SD Negeri 20 Gumarang. The results of the study show that character education has been integrated effectively into dance learning at the school. Dance teachers use character values such as cooperation, discipline, creativity, honesty, and responsibility in every learning activity. They also use examples from everyday life to relate character values to dance practice. In addition, this study also revealed that students showed positive changes in their character development through learning the art of dance. They learn to work together in groups, respect the opinions of others, appreciate cultural diversity through dance moves, and develop a sense of responsibility towards their duties and obligations. In conclusion, learning the art of dance at SD Negeri 20 Gumarang has succeeded in implementing character education well. The dance teacher acts as an effective facilitator in integrating character values into learning, while students show positive progress in developing character through the practice of dance. This research provides a better understanding of the importance of character education through dance at the elementary education level.
