Abstract

This study examines the concept of multicultural Islamic education in the thought of KH Muhammad Tholhah Hasan as a theoretical framework for inclusive social development. The background of this research is the increasing social, cultural, and religious plurality that demands an educational approach capable of strengthening social cohesion and inclusivity. This study employs a qualitative approach with a library research design. Data were collected through documentation of primary sources in the form of KH Muhammad Tholhah Hasan’s works, as well as secondary sources consisting of scholarly books and journal articles relevant to Islamic education, multiculturalism, and social development. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis and thematic analysis to identify core concepts, values, and theoretical propositions. The findings indicate that KH Muhammad Tholhah Hasan conceptualizes Islamic education not merely as a means of transmitting religious doctrine, but as an instrument for internalizing ethical values, social responsibility, and public morality grounded in Islamic teachings. Multiculturalism is understood as an ethical praxis rooted in Islamic values rather than moral relativism. This study concludes that multicultural Islamic education in KH Muhammad Tholhah Hasan’s thought functions as a cultural mechanism that strengthens social cohesion and supports inclusive social development. Abstract

This study attempts to reconstruct the paradigm of Islamic education through a religious capital ecology approach, which integrates human, cultural, social, and symbolic capital within the framework of the tauhid paradigm. Using the library research method with a philosophical hermeneutics approach, this study analyzes the works of Pierre Bourdieu and a number of Islamic educational thinkers such as Al-Ghazali, Al-Attas, and M. A. Abdullah. The results show that Islamic Religious Education (IRE) acts as an ecosystem that nurtures and maintains various forms of religious capital, which originate from the values of faith, knowledge, charity, and manners. Within this framework, each form of capital does not stand alone but is interconnected within a system of tawhid values that harmonizes the worldly and spiritual dimensions. The concept of Religious Capital Ecology expands Bourdieu's theory of capital by incorporating transcendental and spiritual dimensions, while strengthening efforts to decolonize the epistemology of Islamic education.

Abstract

Jambi Province possesses rich cultural heritage in the form of folklore, legends, and fairy tales that embody local wisdom values. However, in the era of globalization and digitalization, the existence of folklore has increasingly been marginalized and is less familiar to younger generations. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the GAPAJAK Flagship Program (Gerakan Pelestarian Cerita Rakyat Jambi untuk Anak / Jambi Folklore Preservation Movement for Children) as an effort to preserve local culture while strengthening students’ character education and literacy. This research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach conducted at MTs Muhammadiyah Kota Jambi. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of activities and students’ works. The GAPAJAK program was implemented using a Project-Based Learning approach that integrated Indonesian language learning with activities of reading, writing, and developing folklore based on Jambi local wisdom. The findings indicate that the GAPAJAK program enhances students’ literacy skills, creativity, and critical thinking, fosters pride in local culture, and strengthens character values such as honesty, cooperation, and environmental awareness. In addition, the program reinforces teachers’ roles as facilitators of creative learning and improves the school’s image as an institution committed to cultural preservation. Therefore, the GAPAJAK program can serve as an innovative model for integrating local culture into school learning as a sustainable effort to preserve Jambi folklore.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in character building and the development of students' skills, and efforts to improve the quality of learning are vital to consider. One of the factors that support successful learning is the use of effective media. With the advancement of technology, the use of digital-based media such as Wordwall has become a viable option to enhance student motivation. This study aims to examine the effect of using Wordwall-based learning media on student motivation in grade V at MIS PUI Gereba, particularly in the subject of Pancasila education on rights and obligations. This research uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, conducted in two cycles, with stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study consisted of 18 students, divided into two groups based on their initial learning motivation. The results showed that the use of Wordwall media significantly increased student motivation, with a percentage increase from 44% in the pre-action phase to 66.67% in cycle I, and 88.89% in cycle II. This indicates that Wordwall media successfully created a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment, increasing student engagement in the learning process. Therefore, the use of technology-based learning media like Wordwall increase to improve the quality of education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi pendidikan menuntut guru untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan interaktif, terutama pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) yang menekankan pada pemahaman konsep secara konkret. Namun, pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPAS di MI NU Tholibin masih didominasi oleh penggunaan media gambar dan video pasif sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya motivasi belajar serta hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif Wordwall terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas VI MI NU Tholibin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) melalui One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 21 siswa kelas VI. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test), kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05) yang menandakan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test. Sebanyak 18 siswa mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar secara signifikan setelah diterapkannya media Wordwall. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif Wordwall berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar IPAS siswa serta efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi, metode, dan evaluasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar. Penelitian dilaksanakan di UPTD SD Negeri 337 Salotengnga, Kabupaten Wajo, dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, guru kelas, dan orang tua, observasi pembelajaran dan lingkungan sekolah, analisis dokumen, serta diskusi kelompok dengan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter telah diimplementasikan dengan baik melalui pembiasaan harian, integrasi dalam pembelajaran tematik, dan pelaksanaan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). Metode pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman seperti role play, proyek sosial, dan diskusi reflektif terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter pada siswa. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat tantangan berupa kurangnya konsistensi pola asuh di rumah dan penggunaan gawai yang berlebihan. Evaluasi karakter dilakukan secara berkelanjutan melalui jurnal sikap, rubrik penilaian, dan keterlibatan orang tua. Penguatan kolaborasi antara sekolah dan keluarga direkomendasikan untuk mengoptimalkan keberhasilan pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

This study addresses the low mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Gambut 3, where conventional teaching methods have resulted in passive participation and limited engagement. To overcome this issue, the TeamsGames Tournament (TGT) learning model was implemented with the aim of improving teacher activities, student activities, and mathematics learning outcomes. The research employed a classroom action research (CAR) design with qualitative and quantitative approaches, conducted over four meetings consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants were 14 fourth-grade students (4 boys and 10 girls). Data were collected through tests and observations, using test items for learning outcomes and observation sheets for teacher and student activities. Data analysis involved distribution, frequency, percentage, and interpretation. Success indicators were defined as individual achievement scores ≥ 60 and classical completeness between 65%–80%, with teacher and student activities reaching at least active/good criteria. The results showed improvements in teacher activities from cycle I (meeting I = 11, meeting II = 12) to cycle II (meeting I = 14, meeting II = 16). Student activities also increased, with classical percentages rising from 50% in cycle I meeting I, 57.2% in meeting II, 64.3% in cycle II meeting I, and 85.7% in meeting II. These findings indicate that the success indicators were achieved. In conclusion, the TGT learning model effectively improved mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Gambut 3 in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan motorik halus anak usia 5–6 tahun di PAUD Waladun Sholihah Desa Marlaung. Banyak anak masih mengalami kesulitan dalam aktivitas yang membutuhkan keterampilan tangan, seperti menggenggam, menggunting, melipat, dan menempel. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan membentuk kertas kokoru terhadap peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus, yang masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 15 anak, terdiri dari 8 anak laki-laki dan 7 anak perempuan. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi yang digunakan untuk menilai perkembangan motorik halus anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus setelah anak mengikuti kegiatan dengan kertas kokoru. Pada siklus I rata-rata hasil observasi menunjukkan kategori “cukup berkembang”, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi kategori “berkembang sangat baik”. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa kertas kokoru mampu memberikan stimulasi yang efektif dalam melatih koordinasi mata dan tangan, kekuatan jari, serta ketelitian anak. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan kegiatan membentuk kertas kokoru berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia 5–6 tahun. Kegiatan ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran kreatif dan menyenangkan di PAUD untuk mendukung perkembangan fisik motorik anak. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using three-dimensional media in the form of cube nets on the spatial visualization abilities of sixth-grade students in geometry at SDN Payaman. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups of students, namely the group that received learning using three-dimensional cube net media and the group that received conventional learning. Data collection was conducted through spatial visualization ability tests administered before and after the treatment. The research procedure included the stages of planning, preparing learning tools, implementing learning, collecting data, and processing data systematically. Data analysis used descriptive statistical techniques to describe the data and inferential techniques to compare the improvement in ability between the two groups. The results showed that the use of three-dimensional cube net media resulted in a higher increase in spatial visualization skills compared to conventional learning. Students demonstrated a better understanding in recognizing shapes, mentally rotating objects, and connecting two-dimensional and three-dimensional representations. The conclusion of this study states that three-dimensional cube net media has a positive effect on students' spatial visualization skills and can be used as an alternative learning medium for geometry material.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the role of Islamic guidelines for living in guiding the development of Islamic-informed arts and culture. Through a qualitative approach, analyzing texts from the Quran, Hadith, and related literature, this study outlines the basic Islamic principles that serve as the foundation for creating and evaluating works of art and cultural expression. The results indicate that Islamic guidelines for living emphasize truth, beauty, moral truth, and the unity of form and content in art, while avoiding elements that are offensive, demeaning, or contrary to religious values. The paper also discusses examples of the application of these principles in various forms of art and culture, such as architecture, music, performing arts, and literature, as well as their contribution to building a harmonious and characterful society. This study concludes that Islamic guidelines for living do not hinder artistic and cultural creativity but rather provide a profound framework for creating meaningful, useful works oriented toward human well-being and divinity.
