Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of social media on students' social interaction at SMP Negeri 1 Dasuk. The study applied a quantitative associative design using questionnaire data from 28 respondents. The independent variable was social media use, while the dependent variable was students' social interaction. Each variable was measured using 25 Likert-scale items. Data analysis followed SPSS-style statistical procedures, including validity testing, reliability testing, descriptive statistics, normality testing, simple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The instrument test showed that all items were valid because the item-total correlation values exceeded the r table value of 0.374. The reliability coefficients were very high, with Cronbach's Alpha of 0.969 for social media and 0.977 for social interaction. The residual normality test was fulfilled with Shapiro-Wilk Sig. = 0.510. The regression results showed R = 0.723, R Square = 0.523, F = 28.520, t = 5.340, and Sig. = 0.000. These results indicate that social media has a positive and significant effect on students' social interaction in this sample. Thus, social media use explains 52.3% of the variance in students' social interaction, while 47.7% is influenced by other factors outside the model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of picture card media in improving the learning interest of fourth-grade students at SDN 9 Tanjung Arak. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects consisted of one teacher and 11 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation to ensure data validity. The results showed that before the use of picture card media, students’ learning interest was relatively low, as indicated by limited attention, participation, and engagement in the learning process. After implementing picture card media in group activities, students’ learning interest increased significantly. A total of 9 out of 11 students became more active, focused, confident in expressing opinions, and engaged in discussions. The picture card media helped students understand concepts more concretely and made learning more interesting and enjoyable. In conclusion, picture card media plays an important role in enhancing students’ learning interest and creating an interactive and meaningful learning environment. Abstract

This study was conducted in response to the need for teacher creativity in modifying theme-based songs to create meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences for young children. The objective of this study was to analyze teachers’ creativity in theme-based song modification at UPT SPF TK Negeri Satu Atap 01 Lubuk Pakam. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving two Group B teachers as research participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings showed that teacher creativity in modifying theme-based songs could be identified through three dimensions of creativity, namely fluency, flexibility, and elaboration. Fluency was reflected in the teachers’ ability to generate various ideas for adapting song lyrics to different learning themes. Flexibility was demonstrated through the ability to adjust songs according to classroom situations, learning conditions, and children’s developmental needs. Elaboration was evident in the teachers’ ability to enrich songs through lyric modification and the addition of simple movements that supported learning activities. These findings indicate that theme-based song modification can be utilized as an effective learning strategy to promote active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning experiences for young children

Abstract

Character education in elementary schools tends to emphasize moral action through habituation and external reinforcement, while neglecting moral knowing and moral feeling, so that students' moral reasoning remains dominated by punishment- and reward-based motives and rarely develops into autonomous, internalized values; this condition is worsened by the weak collaborative bridge between schools and families, as reflected in the low proportion of parents who consistently monitor their children's character development at home. This study aims to describe qualitatively the design, implementation, obstacles, and impact of PROJEK CERIA (Cerdas Moral, Empati, Refleksi, Integritas, Aksi), a teacher-initiated character program implemented in Class 6A of SD Negeri Patimuan 01, Cilacap Regency, which integrates weekly moral dilemma discussions with the CERIA Card as a daily school-home character monitoring instrument. A qualitative descriptive approach with a single case study design was employed, involving 20 students and their parents as participants, with data collected through moral reasoning interviews, observation, document analysis, and focus group discussions, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings reveal that the program successfully shifted students' moral reasoning from punishment- and reward-based motives toward empathy- and universal-principle-based reasoning, increased spontaneous moral initiative without supervision, and fostered parental ownership of character education at home, despite technical, pedagogical, and parental collaboration obstacles that were addressed through contextual, low-cost strategies. The study concludes that simple, well-designed instruments can effectively bridge school and home character education even in resource-limited rural settings.

Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology has had a significant impact on the world of Islamic preaching (da'wah). Social media has become one of the strategic tools for disseminating religious messages widely and rapidly, including within Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). This study aims to describe the forms of social media usage as a means of da'wah, identify the challenges faced, and analyze strategies for optimizing social media at Pondok Pesantren Modern Al Azhar Menganti Gresik. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation, analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model. The findings indicate: (1) The pesantren utilizes Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook to publish da'wah content including short sermons, Qur'anic recitations, student activity documentation, and Islamic motivation; (2) Challenges include limited human resources skilled in digital media, inadequate production equipment, absence of a social media management SOP, and low audience engagement; (3) Optimization strategies include creative content training for students, formation of an internal media team, use of Canva and CapCut applications, content scheduling, and periodic evaluation. These findings demonstrate that optimizing social media can serve as an effective bridge in delivering Islamic values to the broader community, particularly the younger generation, when managed properly and strategically.
