Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Indonesian language learning in improving scientific writing skills among eleventh-grade vocational high school students. The research employed a literature review method by examining relevant journals and scientific sources. The findings show that Indonesian language learning plays an important role in developing students' critical thinking, written communication, and scientific writing skills. Learning strategies such as Project-Based Learning (PjBL) are effective in helping students produce scientific papers systematically. Learning success is influenced by students' motivation, literacy skills, teachers' roles, and the availability of learning resources. However, students still face challenges in developing ideas, low reading interest, and limited understanding of scientific writing structures.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low quality of graduates in several elementary schools, which is caused by centralized educational management that is insufficiently responsive to local needs. The implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) is regarded as a strategic solution to provide broader autonomy to schools in managing resources to improve graduate quality. The purpose of this study is to identify supporting and inhibiting factors and to analyze the implementation of SBM in improving the quality of graduates at SDN 1 Citalang, Purwakarta Regency. Management encompasses planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling aimed at achieving organizational goals effectively and efficiently. According to George R. Terry, management is a distinct process consisting of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling actions carried out to determine and achieve established objectives through the utilization of human and other resources. In the educational context, management becomes a key factor in ensuring the systematic and sustainable implementation of teacher professionalism development processes. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of SBM at SDN 1 Citalang has been running quite effectively, as evidenced by increased participation of all school members and the school committee in decision-making, enhanced teacher professionalism, and optimized use of school-needs-based budgeting. The quality of graduates has improved, particularly in terms of basic academic abilities, independence, and discipline. This study recommends the need for continuous training on SBM for teachers and school committees, as well as strengthening periodic internal evaluations to maintain and improve the quality achievements of graduates.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to what extent hand puppet media affect the speaking ability of children with speech delay age group B at Anugerah Kingdegarten and Special Needs School Medan in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. Through a quantitative method with a Pre-Ekperimental model of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This study involed 5 children identified as Speech Delay. Observation techniques were used to collect data, then processed statistically using the Shapiro-Wilk test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and N-Gain with the help of SPSS software. The results showed an increase in the average scre of the intial condition (pretest) of 2,6 and the final score (posttest) reached 4,8 with a difference of 2,2. The normality test confirmed that the data was not normally distributed, because the signicance value of the intial score of 0,046 and the final score 0,006 was smaller than 0,5. Furthermore, the results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test produced a value of 0,034 < 0,05 which means H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. These figures demonstrate that the use of hand puppet significantly impacts children’s speaking ability. The N-Gain test results showed an average of 0,01787, which is considered low. Although the improvement in speaking ability was not optimal, all children showed improvement after treatment. It can be concluded that there is a significant impact on the speech development of children with speech delays. Therefore, hand puppets are highly recommended as learning tool to help stimulate children’s speech in a more engaging and interactive way.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and analyze the various factors that trigger academic plagiarism among students in the Sociology Education Study Program at the University of Mataram. This study uses a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews to explore the views and experiences of informants regarding this dishonest behavior. The research findings indicate that although students already understand the basic concept of plagiarism, technological advances have changed the way plagiarism occurs. In addition to copying from the internet or imitating friends, a new trend has emerged that uses generative artificial intelligence (AI) fully (100%) without involving paraphrasing or adding references. This phenomenon is analyzed using the Fraud Triangle theory, which has three main factors: pressure, opportunity, and rationalization. Pressure arises from internal factors, such as procrastination and poor time management, which occur amidst the large amount of work to be done. Opportunities arise from easy access to the digital world, insufficient supervision, few penalties, and a lack of tools to detect AI. These conditions encourage the direct use of AI, because limited technical skills in scientific writing make students feel this is normal. Overall, addressing plagiarism requires more than just reactive administrative policies. Study programs must implement a comprehensive preventative approach from the beginning of the course by providing training in academic writing and reference management, implementing sanctions routinely and consistently, and strengthening the role of lecturers in providing clear explanations of academic assignments while still respecting students' independent thinking skills to maintain academic integrity.

Abstract

Students' literacy skills in Indonesia remain a serious challenge, particularly in the Indonesian Language subject, with PISA 2022 placing Indonesia at a score of 359, well below the OECD average of 476. This systematic literature study aims to critically analyze scaffolding concepts, map prior research findings, formulate an implementation model, identify multidimensional impacts on literacy, and identify research gaps and pedagogical implications. Data were collected through searches on Google Scholar, SINTA, DOAJ, Garuda, Scopus, and ERIC using thematic keywords, yielding 112 initial sources that were then selected through a stepwise PRISMA-adapted protocol (deduplication, title-abstract screening, and full-text eligibility assessment) to 28 final sources (20 national, 8 international). Results indicate: (1) scaffolding is proven effective in enhancing reading, writing, critical, and digital literacy; (2) scaffolding effectiveness is contextual and depends on teacher TPACK competence; (3) scaffolding in the Indonesian context faces unique challenges of student ability heterogeneity and infrastructure limitations; (4) research gaps exist in long-term scaffolding studies, standardized measurement, and hybrid digital-conventional models. This study produces a novel six-stage conceptual implementation model synthesized from national and international literature, along with an optimal conditions framework and a future research agenda.
