Abstract

The energy industry faces major challenges in fuel inventory management due to price and demand fluctuations. PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT) faces this issue in the operation of Ship X, the crucial transportation between Balikpapan and Penajam Supply Base (PSB). Uncertainty in fuel demand can disrupt worker mobility and increase operational costs due to the high frequency of deliveries. Therefore, forecasting fuel consumption is important for efficiency and smooth operation. The purpose of this research is to forecast the amount of fuel that will be used by Ship X. The method used is a quantitative approach by utilizing secondary data on fuel consumption for the period January to September 2024 from PSB PHKT. In forecasting efforts, the Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA) (1,1,0)(0,1,1)6 model is used. The selection of this model is based on parameter significance and fulfillment of the white noise residual assumption after going through diagnostic tests. The results of the study provide a prediction of the fuel usage of Ship X in week 40 of 1794.37 liters.

Abstract

The Central Warehouse of PT X serves as a storage facility for raw materials prior to shipment to users or production sites. The vast quantity of production materials necessitates optimal storage space to ensure proper storage. Effective material management and placement significantly impact storage capacity. This study aims to optimize raw material cable layout at the central warehouse using the ABC method. Analysis involves categorizing materials by size and priority, facilitating efficient handling and management. Results show a 17.5% reduction in overall material storage space and significant improvements in spatial efficiency. The proposed layout design enhances operator inspection and mobility while minimizing error and injury risks. This research contributes to developing effective, efficient and sustainable logistics and warehouse management strategies.

Abstract

PT Prima Karya Teknik is a company engaged in construction and fabrication, where the material receiving process is a critical stage that affects project smoothness, operational costs, and customer satisfaction. However, the company faces several problems in the material receiving process, such as delays in material inspection, document discrepancies, and lack of team coordination, which are thought to be related to employee performance that has not been optimal in carrying out the SOP. This study aims to analyze employee performance based on the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for material acceptance that applies at PT Prima Karya Teknik using the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) method. The results of the analysis show that there are several areas that need to be improved such as material receipt time that still exceeds the target, material receipt accuracy that has not reached the standard and the timeliness of receipt that still needs to be improved. Based on these findings, several improvements are suggested such as implementing a barcode system, retraining employees regarding SOPs, rearranging work shifts, and improving coordination with suppliers.

Abstract

Marketing strategy is one of the important keys in the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), including trading businesses (UD) engaged in tempeh production. This research or report aims to analyze the implementation of marketing strategies with a 4P marketing mix approach (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) at UD. ALBY JAYA. The results of the analysis show that in terms of product, UD. ALBY JAYA focuses on cleanliness and quality, but is still limited in innovation in product variants. In terms of price, UD. ALBY JAYA sets competitive prices that are adjusted to consumer purchasing power. In terms of place (distribution), tempeh products are distributed to traditional markets, stalls, and through direct orders. For promotion, UD. ALBY JAYA still relies on word of mouth promotion and has not maximized the use of digital media

Abstract

This internship was conducted at CV. Budidaya Jamur Sejati, a company engaged in oyster mushroom cultivation. The objective of this study is to analyze and improve production quality by implementing the Seven Tools method as a quality control tool. The method includes: check sheet, Pareto chart, fishbone diagram, histogram, control chart, scatter diagram, and flowchart. Data was collected over a 12-week period through direct observation, interviews, and analysis of weekly inspection sheets. The results show that out of 88,932 total production units, there were 1,375 defective units (approximately 1.5%), with the most frequent defects being: unspread mycelium (35%), underfilled baglog (34%), and leaky plastic bags (31%). The fishbone diagram identified root causes from human factors, unstandardized work methods, substandard raw materials, and uncontrolled environmental conditions. The control chart indicates that the production process remains within control limits, although there is a trend approaching the upper limit.

Abstract

This research analyzes the quality of Enterprise Resource Planning services at the PT CMPI ice cream factory using the Servqual and Six Sigma methodology. The main objective of this research is to identify the level of satisfaction and causes of user dissatisfaction with the Enterprise Resource Planning service, and determine efforts to improve service quality that require improvement. Primary data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 43 respondents who had used Oracle's Enterprise Resource Planning services more than once in the company and testing them in validity and reliability tests. Servqual and Six Sigma methods are applied for problem analysis and solving problems. The results of the Servqual analysis, the average value of gap 5 is -0.591, meaning that users at PT CMPI are not satisfied with the services provided by the Oracle ERP provider vendor. Use of DPMO (Defect Per Million Opportunity) average value of 137,874 and sigma value of 2.74 to identify problems that will be analyzed using Pareto Diagrams and Fishbone Diagrams to uncover the root of the problem.

Abstract

CV. Abc is a company that produces precast concrete. By using the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method, which is a visualization method used in Lean Manufacturing to identify, analyze and improve the flow of material and information in a production process. This research aims to evaluate how wasteful precast concrete products are. CV. Abc works in the field of infrastructure development, especially irrigation and making products such as U-dith, Box Culvert, and Cover. The results of the research were carried out by dividing 7 waste into 7 types of waste based on the level of importance and performance. This research found that there is waste that needs to be corrected, especially related to visual defects on the product surface. Recommendations for improvement include better waste control, better finishing processes, and more efficient production processes. It is hoped that the implementation of these measures will increase customer satisfaction and increase the company's competitiveness in the construction market.

Abstract

The Factory faces the significant challenge of managing waste to improve productivity and reduce operational costs. This study specifically addresses waste generated during the production of frozen shrimp, a high-value Indonesian fishery commodity. This paper is aim to analyze and minimize the waste using the Lean Manufacturing. The Lean Manufacturing was executed through three key steps: Current State Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Classification of production activities, and Identification and analysis of specific wastes. The results indicate that implementing the prescribed Lean manufacturing methods can significantly address the company's waste issues, leading to both increased productivity and a substantial reduction in costly waste expenses. The implementation at PT XYZ was based on aligning theoretical Lean concepts with empirical field data, which is intended to serve as a valuable alternative learning resource for future development.

Abstract

The bicycle manufacturing industry is a sector that continues to experience growth as public awareness of the importance of a healthy, environmentally friendly lifestyle increases, and interest in cycling grows. In the production process, the Welding Division plays a crucial role as it is responsible for assembling the main components of bicycles, namely the frame. This study focuses on demand forecasting in this division so that the company can determine production targets more accurately. The single moving average method was chosen as the forecasting technique because it is suitable for limited data conditions, both for production and sales needs. The researchers divided this method into three variations: forecasting with a 2-month, 3-month, and 4-month period. The analysis results showed that the 2-month single moving average method provided the most accurate results with a mean absolute percentage error of 28%, which is lower than the other methods. Overall, the average production in the Welding Division reached 54,050 units.
