The results of reports from the Gilingan Health Center on the availability of types of contraceptives in using hormonal contraception were 53% and non-hormonal contraception 47%. The Pandemic Period is a transitional condition and adjustment to new habits that must be adapted to government regulations. Descriptive survey research with a retrospective approach, population 1,199, sample 92 respondents, research instrument using a closed questionnaire, univariate data analysis. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 31-40 years as many as 51 respondents, the last education was SMA/SMK as many as 36 respondents and the majority of respondents worked as many as 50 respondents, with less knowledge as many as 37 respondents and the majority chose contraception using long-term contraception as many as 57 respondent. It is necessary to socialize and send a health promotion team to provide health education to hormonal and non-hormonal family planning acceptors to increase knowledge in choosing contraceptives used by family planning acceptors.

Abstract

Musa acuminata × balbisiana fruit peel is a waste that can be utilized to produce a biodegradable, non-toxic, and stable natural cellulose. Cellulose characteristics depend on their isolation process, such as delignification and hydrolysis process, and their natural sources. This research aims to determine the effect of different delignification and hydrolysis process on characteristic of isolated cellulose from Musa acuminata × balbisiana fruit peel. The isolation was conducted by different delignification process, which used sodium hydroxide with heating at 80° C for 20 and 30 minutes, and hydrolysis process using chloric acid and sulfuric acid. The isolated cellulose then was characterized using spectrophotometer FT-IR. The result showed that there were a decrease in absorption intensity, wave number shifts, and some missing peaks of the isolated cellulose by the delignification and hydrolysis process compared to the standard cellulose used.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis impacts the psychological state (mental) in the form of stress. Self-efficacy focuses on the belief in being able to perform self-care management. This study aims to identify the relationship stress levels with self-efficacy in TB patients. The design of this study is correlational quantitative research with cross-sectional approach. The research sample was 64 Pulmonary tuberculosis patients with a purposive sampling technique. The questionnaire as a data collection tool is the DASS 42 specifically for stress and the Pulmonary tuberculosis self-efficacy questionnaire. The statistical test used is the Spearman rank correlation. The results of this study was the average stress score was 6.41, and the patient's average self-efficacy was 64.92. Spearman correlation test showed significant relationship stress levels with self-efficacy of Pulmonary tuberculosis patients p < 0.001 correlation (r) of -0.631, which showed strong relationship. There is a relationship between stress levels and self-efficacy in pulmonary TB patients. Nurses are expected to be able to provide comprehensive nursing care through health education related to the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis and motivate patients to continue to recover in treatment to completion.

Abstract

The research of the effect of ethanol extract of cherry (Muntingia calabura L.) leaf in white male rat has been done. The extract administrated orally by doses 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg BW and negative control group used natrium carboxy methyl cellulose 1%. As positive control group used acetosal 500 mg/kg BW. The inflamation induced by Karagen (1%) injected on the sole of rats. Inflamation volume measured with plestimometer after 7,14 and 21 days administration. The result showed that the Kersen leaf (Muntingia calabura L. ) extract by doses 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg BW can decrease the inflamation volume equal to acetosal 500 mg/kg BW after 21 days.

Abstract

The purpose of this review was to determine the role of MSCs in burn management. Scientific publication databases such as Researchgate, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Pubmed were used for literature searches. [(Secretome, Mesenchymal stem cell Adipose Tissue, Umbilical Cord, Bone Marrow) AND (Burn wound OR wound healing OR burn injury OR thermal injury)] are the keywords used. In ten studies, rats, mice, and humans were used as research subjects in randomized clinical trials to conduct synthetic analyses. MSC therapy involves the use of bone marrow, cord blood, and adipose tissue. MSC therapy heals burns by suppressing the inflammatory response and oxidative stress, stimulating angiogenesis, and causing closure and repair (remodeling). MSC therapy has also been shown to reduce scarring and contracture formation.

Abstract

Various kinds of diseases can be caused by exposure to objects that are not recognized by the body. To recognize these foreign objects, a good immune system is needed. Immunomodulators are substances used to exert an effect on the immune system. The function of an immunodulator in the body can be as an immunostimulant, namely by stimulating the function of the immune system. Immunostimulating compounds can be obtained from plants. One of the plants that can be used is pegagan embun (Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides Lam.). In Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides Lam. It contains flavonoid compounds which have immunomodulatory activity. This article review was conducted to obtain information related to the immunomodulatory potential of the Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides Lam plant. The writing method for making this research article review was a comparative method, namely taken from a collection of national journals and international journals. Various research results that have been obtained prove that the extract of Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides Lam. can potentially enhance the body's immune system due to the content of flavonoid compounds which function as natural immunomodulators.

Abstract

Abstract Psychological stress during pregnancy is associated with negative birth outcomes, such as premature birth, low birth weight, gestational age at birth, indicators of breastfeeding, symptoms of postpartum depression, and can cause long-term defects in cognitive development. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of mindfulness interventions on neonatal outcomes through a systematic review. The method used in this study is a systematic review by searching articles through the Pubmed, ProQuest, Science Direct, Wiley Library, Sage Journal, and Cochrane Library databases with publication years January 2018 to January 2022. The results of the study obtained 6 articles that met the inclusion criteria, articles that discussed mindfulness on neonatal outcomes consisted of several countries, namely Canada, Egypt, the United States, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Netherlands. The use of mindfulness interventions for mothers with psychological distress suggests that mindfulness interventions are effective for improving labor outcomes and positive experiences during childbirth. From this study it can be concluded that mindfulness for the future can be used as a non-pharmacological intervention option to reduce psychological distress without risky side effects. Researchers suggest that further research is needed regarding the long-term effects after delivery and delivery outcomes.
