Abstract

This research aims to describe the construction of masculinity in the main character in the Indonesian version of Miracle in Cell No. 7 and its utilization in literature learning. This research uses the descriptive-qualitative method; the data obtained is obtained through listening and note-taking techniques, then classified in the form of notes and documented in the form of screenshots. Data analysis in this research uses content analysis techniques. The results of this study reveal that the construction of masculinity in the Indonesian version of Miracle in Cell No. 7 is represented in an unusual form in general but still maintains its masculinity traits. The character Dodo Rozak has seven characteristics of masculinity, according to Chafetz, namely: male physical appearance; male functional; male sexual; emotional; intellectual; male interpersonal; and personal character. The characteristics of masculinity are used as an alternative teaching option in Indonesian language subjects at the high school level, especially in the context of learning literature, namely drama texts, specifically analyzing the content and language of dramas watched, in accordance with KD 3.19.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the netizen comments in Mata Najwa Ganjar Pranowo Bicara Gagasan youtube using Teun A Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis theory used in satire language. This research is a qualitative research that uses descriptive method. The data used are sentences containing satire in Mata Najwa Bicara Gagasan youtube comments with Teun A Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis theory. Based on van dijk's discourse structure, there are three text structures, namely, macro structure, super structure and micro structure. Macro structure is the main idea or summary in the text, the second super structure is a schematic structure that includes title, introduction, content, and conclusion. The third micro structure in this structure there are semantic elements that are observed, namely, setting, details, intent, and presumption. The second is syntactic elements observed coherence, sentence form, and pronouns and the third is stylistic elements observed lexicon and the fourth is rhetorical elements observed graphics, metaphors and graphs.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze emotion classification in song lyrics in the album Mengudara by Idgitaf. The method applied in this research is a qualitative research method using David Krech's emotion classification theory to analyze songs. The data source used in this research is the text of the song lyrics in the album Mengudara by Idgitaf, which was released on July 28, 2023. The data collection technique in this research uses literature study techniques, namely the observation and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. The results of this study indicate that the song lyrics on the album Mengudara by Idgitaf found 10 types of emotions out of 12 types of emotions in accordance with the theory of emotion classification proposed by David Krech. The dominant emotion in the album is fear.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' lack of interest in writing and analyze their difficulties in expressing feelings and thoughts in the form of poetry. The ability to master diction in writing poetry is a major concern because it affects the quality of their literary works. This study used an experimental method of pretest-posttest control group design consisting of an experimental class that used digital crossword puzzle media and a control class that used clip card media. The data collection methods used in this research include observation, a pilot test, and a test. The research data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the experimental class using digital-based crossword puzzle media experienced a significant increase in the ability to master connotation meaning in writing poetry compared to the control class. This indicates that the media helped improve poetry writing skills by using appropriate diction. The use of digital-based crossword puzzle media can improve the mastery of connotational meaning in writing poetry for phase D students at SMP Negeri 1 Wanayasa. Teachers need to prepare the content and layout of the crossword puzzle, provide concept explanations, and involve learners.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the existence of women in the novel Perempuan Panggung by Iman Budhi Santosa, using Simone de Beauvoir's theory. This research is descriptive and qualitative. The data for this research are quotations that contain representations of the role of women's existence. The data source for this research is the novel Perempuan Panggung by Iman Budhi Santosa. The results of this research are four forms of women's existence strategies, including: representation of women working, representation of intellectual women, representation of women's social transformation of society, and representation of women rejecting their queerness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship between the Cawelti formula and the children's story. Lima Sekawan: Rahasia di Pulau Kirrin with cognitive development in children The research method uses a qualitative method with data obtained through a literature review. Primary data was obtained through the novel, and secondary data was obtained through related literature. Data analysis efforts were carried out in three stages, including data sorting, data grouping, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the mystery formula in children's stories met the criteria of Cawelti's formula theory and found a mystery with a puzzle that became a conflict. The reference to the mystery formula is based on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The relationship between mystery formulas in children's stories and cognitive development helps cognitive development by presenting imagination in reading books that have puzzles in them. This is to train children's imagination and also spur children to hone their thinking power to participate in solving puzzles in the books they read.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the moral values in the folklore of the Kerinci Lake region. This research includes qualitative research with research data that is quantitative data and uses literature study techniques to collect data. The source of data in this research is the story of Baskom Emas, Puti Sari Jelio, Putri Tangguk, Sari Bangkuk published in the book Folklore of Lake Kerinci. The research data was analysed with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that the moral value in the folklore of Lake Kerinci contains the moral value of lazy attitude, attitude towards parents, hardworking attitude, despicable attitude, obedient to parental advice, disobedient to parents and God's reply to the character.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the value of local wisdom in the Panji Laras-Liris Story in Lamongan Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with literary sociology theory. The data is in the form of quotations contained in the book Panji Laras-Liris Story. The data source comes from the book Panji Laras-Liris Story in Lamongan Public Library. Data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques. The data analysis used Miles and Huberman's interactive model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that there were five forms with seven data points of local wisdom values as follows: First, religious value, namely the value of spreading goodness. Second, moral value, namely the value of keeping speech and the value of keeping promises. Third, social value, namely the value of gotong royong. Fourth, the value of tolerance, which is the value of respect without discrimination. Fifth, the value of integrity, namely the value of being keen to seek knowledge and the value of not giving up

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the symbol of the Javanese traditional bridal procession in the film Mantan Manten, which is studied according to the clarity, truth, honesty, and accuracy of Jurgen Habermas' critical theory. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative research method. The data for this research is in the form of Javanese bridal procession symbols. The data source in this research is a screenshot image of the film Mantan Manten by Farishad Latjuba related to Jurgen Habermas' critical theory. The data analysis technique uses a way of classifying data in accordance with the focus of the problem. Based on the research results obtained as follows: (1) The clarity of the Javanese bridal procession symbols is in accordance with the clarity indicator, which is not multi-interpreted and easy to understand. (2) The truth of the Javanese bridal procession symbols is in accordance with the truth indicator, namely the meaning of the symbols used in accordance with the explanation in the Qur'an. (3) The honesty of the Javanese bridal procession symbols is in accordance with the honesty indicator, namely the symbols used as they are, not made up or engineered; and (4) The accuracy of the Javanese bridal procession symbols is in accordance with the accuracy indicator, namely the rules that apply in Javanese customs. Javanese bridal procession symbols are rational in accordance with clarity, truth, honesty, and accuracy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Quizizzebased teaching materials on the writing skills of observation report texts of grade VII YPI Annur Prima students. This type of research applies a quantitative approach with a quasi-experiment research method. The population was 40 students and the sample size was report text. Data analysis techniques in this study used quantitative analysis in the form of descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that there was an influence on the writing results of the experimental group using Quizizz-based teaching materials with the control group that only used conventional learning.20 students, namely class VII C as the experimental class and 20 students from class VII B as the control class. The instrument used to collect data on student learning outcomes is a test of writing observation.
