Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the DRTA (Directed Reading-Thinking Activity) model in learning Indonesian Language and Literature in class V SDN Bakalan 03, Polokarto, Sukoharjo. Descriptive qualitative research with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analysed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification, while data validation was obtained using data triangulation and theory triangulation techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the DRTA (Directed Reading-Thinking Activity) model was very good. The research conclusions include good implementation, supporting factors such as the completeness of facilities and student motivation, inhibiting factors such as lack of student understanding, and teacher solutions tailored to obstacles.

Abstract

This research aims to educate parents of bilingual children to pay attention to their child's language learning environment and understand the syntax of their speech. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature using listening, involving, speaking data collection techniques. Data analysis includes identification, classification and description. The research results show that based on Krashen's theory, children's B2 learning and acquisition, in this case RSA, comes from formal language environment (educational settings) and informal language environment such as play situations, family interactions (especially with mothers), the influence of devices. and other people. According to Bloom, the relationship between grammar and information expresses a situation that corresponds to a combination of words from RSA.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of language style in Nama dan Makna: Four Poetry Collections by Ajip Rosidi and its recommendation as a teaching module for poetry texts in high school. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative data analysis. The stages of data analysis used in this study, researchers determine or examine the object of research that has been collected in the form of poetry texts, then analysed using stylistic analysis which focuses on finding and knowing the use of language styles used.The results of this study, in the poem Nama dan Makna: Four Collection of Poems by Ajip Rosidi, there are comparison language style, opposition language style, linking language style, and repetition language style. In the poem, the use of paralipsis language style is more dominant.

Abstract

This research was conducted with two objectives, (1) to describe the content of magical realism in the children's horror novel series Creepy Case Club by Rizal Iwan, and (2) to describe the opportunities for using the book to support Indonesian language learning achievements in various learning phases. The approach used in this study is qualitative. Data is collected through documentation. The source of this research data is six children's horror novel series books Creepy Case Club by Rizal Iwan. Analysis is carried out by content or content analysis. The results of this study are (1) the children's horror novel series Creepy Case Club is a work of magical realism based on the existence of five magical realism markers that appear in each book, and (2) these six books can be used to support Indonesian language learning activities starting from phase A to phase F students. This book not only provides fear or tells stories about something that does not make sense but can also support the educational process of various Indonesian language learning materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the form of spelling errors contained in students' essays. Students‘ description essay of Class VII UPT SMP Negeri 2 Baranti is the source of data, and spelling errors in students’ description essay are the research data. The techniques used to collect data include reading and note-taking techniques. The researcher and data cards as instruments. Data analysis used categorization, tabulation, and conclusion techniques. The results showed that there were errors in the use of Indonesian spelling in the description essays of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Baranti; there were errors in the use of capital letters, word writing errors, and punctuation errors. Students make Indonesian spelling mistakes because they are less careful and do not pay attention to correct spelling.

Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between characters and nature in the novel Serdadu Pantai using Glotfelty's ecocriticism theory. The research method applied is qualitative descriptive, focusing on the depiction of nature, the relationship between characters and the environment, and the ecological values conveyed by the author. The findings reveal three main points: 1) the depiction of nature is divided into physical descriptions and atmospheres that influence the story; 2) the emotional relationships between characters and nature illustrate character development through interactions with the environment; and 3) ecological messages are delivered through story and symbolism, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation. This study provides new insights into the significance of environmental care and enriches ecocriticism studies in Indonesian literature.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the cultural values in the novel Rana Renjana by Piko. This research is qualitative research using the descriptive method of analysis. The research data was taken based on quotations in the novel Rana Renjana by Piko with data analysis techniques in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research found in the novel Rana Renjana by Piko six cultural values. The theoretical values include knowledge about meruwat village, studying, animating a dance, and utilizing nature. Economic values relate to occupations such as trading, farmers, bank employees, and dancers. Religious values include belief in God, belief in the supernatural, belief in objects, being polite, never giving up, and respecting parents. Art values include dance, music, and fine arts. Political values relate to the power possessed by the village head, village elders, parents, and dance teachers. Social values include friendship, love, forgiveness, care, responsibility, and mutual cooperation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of using  ADIKSIMBA monopoly media to enhance the fifth-grade students’ capacity to comprehend narrative text at SD Negeri Tinjomoyo 02 in learning Indonesian. The research employed research and development. The research involved the development of the ADIKSIMBA monopoly media assisted by card sort methods then the feasibility and effectiveness of using the media was tested on 28 fifth grade students of SDN Tinjomoyo 02. Non-test procedures were used to acquire study data, including interviews with fifth grade teachers, student and teacher needs questionnaires, and media feasibility validation questionnaires completed by material and media experts. Data was collected using test technique such as pretests and posttests to examine the effectiveness of monopolistic media. The data were analyzed using percentage test, t-test, and N-Gain test. The results indicated that the ADIKSIMBA monopoly media was found to be 93.75% (rated as "Very Feasible") by material and media experts. In the large-scale posttest, 25 out of 28 students reached the KKTP. Additionally, the N-Gain test on the pretest-posttest scores showed a 0,7642 (High) which indicated that ADIKSIMBA monopoly media was effective to improve students' ability in comprehending narrative text.

Abstract

This study describes the application of the Example Non-Example method through the use of photo media in improving persuasive text writing skills in VIII students of SMPN 3 Cibarusah. This research uses a quantitative quasi-experiment approach with a nonequivalent control group design. Data collection in this study was carried out using observation, interview, test, and documentation techniques. The data came from the results of the initial and final tests, which were tested through normality, homogeneity, n-gain, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was an increase between the results of the initial test and the final test. The increase was evidenced through the acquisition of the average value of the treatment from 79.83 to 86.33. The n-gain test results prove that the application of the Example Non-Example method assisted by photo media in improving the ability to write persuasive text is considered effective.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the character education values in the novel Dompet Ayah Sepatu Ibu by J.S. Khairen and compile the research results of the novel Dompet Ayah Sepatu Ibu as a high school literature teaching module. The research used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique is by means of simak catat to collect data from quotations in the novel. In this research, the data analysis used is descriptive content analysis technique. The results of the study contain three components that cover the good components of Thomas Lickona which include moral knowledge, moral feelings, and moral action.
