Kuriositas: Media Komunikasi Sosial dan Keagamaan is a scientific journal focuses on Islam, Education, Culture and Moslem Societies issues. It was firstly published at 2008 by IAIN Parepare (formerly STAIN Parepare) and available online since 2016. We inviteScholars, Writers, Teachers and Students to publish their original research paper, twice a year, in June and December. Abstract

ABSTRACT Misuse of social media is one of the leading causes of divorce in the digital era. This research is aiming at determining the misuse of social media that causes divorce in the study of jurisprudence and social media. This research applies a qualitative descriptive type of research is sourced from interviews with judges at the Majene Religious Court, relevant books and articles. The results of the research show that social media is one of the platforms that causes a husband or wife to become nusyuz (disobedience) which can be shown by a change in the partner's attitude (infidelity) which then continues to become shiqaq which is a dispute between the couple, while in the study of social media, there is a relationship between cognitif dissonnance theory and virtual space that can cause divorce if the elements of attitude, perception and behaviour are not interconnected. This research provides to knowledge in relation to the impact of misuse of social media which results in divorce from a review of Islamic law and social media

Abstract

Moderasi Beragama yang dicetuskan oleh Kementrian Agama diharapkan mampu menjadi solusi terhadap tantangan keberagaman. Namun, moderasi beragama memiliki titik berat pada penempatan agama yang tentu didalamnya ada tokoh lintas agama sebagai agent. Sementara itu, tokoh agama yang sejatinya kerap menyentuh dinamika masyarakat atau istilah yang kami gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ummat kerap hanya dijadikan perpanjangan tangan dalam meneruskan kebijakan terkait moderasi beragama. Peran para tokoh agama atau dalam tulisan ini digunakan istilah tokoh lintas agama menjadi penting untuk dapat digunakan pemikirannya yang berkaitan dengan moderasi Beragama. Maka, penelitian ini mencoba mengeksplorasi analisis terkait dengan pemahaman para tokoh lintas agama tentang moderasi Beragama. Menggunakan Metode analisis fenomenologi, penelitian ini diharapkan mampu menguak sisi lain moderasi Beragama melalui pandangan tokoh lintas agama yang dianalisa. Metode ini berfokus pada pemahaman mendalam tentang makna subjektif yang diberikan oleh individu terhadap fenomena yang mereka alami Penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam Terhadap pimpinan majelis keagamaan seperti MUI, PGI, KAJ, PHDI, WALUBI dan MATAKIN. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa moderasi Beragama dalam hal pemahaman perlu untuk diteruskan kepada masyarakat sebagai materi dakwah yang harus terus menerus disampaikan. Temuan berikutnya menyebut bahwa diatas pemahaman, moderasi Beragama juga perlu dilaksanakan dengan sikap toleran diantara ummat yang dimaknai sebagai sikap pembiaran terhadap ummat lain untuk melakukan ritual keagamannya masing-masing. Temuan ketiga dalam penelitian ini yaitu yang berikaitan dengan pemberian fasilitas keagamaan utamanya bagi pemeluk agama serta kepercayaan minoritas di Jakarta. Pemberian fasilitas yang dimaksud dikhususkan kepada komunitas atau kelompok keagamaan yang dirasa memiliki kesulitan dalam hal fasilitas beribadah ditempatnya masing-masing.

Abstract

This research aims to elucidate the construction of symbolic meaning within the discourse of women through Fairclough's analysis of online news. The research method employed a qualitative approach with critical discourse analysis techniques, utilizing instruments devised by the researcher. Data were collected through documentation methods, identifying auxiliary/modal verbs, verbs, nouns, adjectives, conjunctions, nominal phrases, and numeral phrases within the text. Findings revealed a linguistic hierarchy reflecting gender equality ideology and the distribution of political power. Representations through word and phrase choices depicted male dominance in Indonesian politics, efforts to enhance women's roles in policy structures, and hopes to win elections with strong support. This analysis aids in understanding how women's discourse is shaped and influences perceptions and actions in daily communication. Through this article, it is anticipated that awareness regarding language usage to strengthen gender equality will increase, emphasizing the continual need to expand women's participation in shaping political policies.

Abstract

PT UPC Sidrap Bayu Energi realises that, in the long term, its existence must not only produce electricity but also be able to provide benefits to the surrounding community. This study looks at how planning and implementing CSR programs has an impact on improving community welfare. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach and focuses on CSR programs' planning and implementation processes. The research results show that the first stage in planning a CSR program is assessing the community's environmental, social, and economic needs. CSR plans by respecting local culture, cultural heritage, and community rights. The company committee, CSR employees, local government, Sidrap District CSR Forum, and community leaders were involved in the planning. Every December, a program planning mechanism is carried out with a meeting between local governments to find government work programs that can be combined with CSR programs. Implementing CSR programs and providing benefits to the company must obtain approval and support from the company's top management. This ensures that program implementation is fully supported by the company's resources, including financial resources, namely the budget allocated for program implementation, and human resources, namely the employees employed by the company.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the meaning of the message in the multimodal post "Bakiak Game" on Instagram G20 2022. This is to see how the Bakiak Game is depicted and what reflects its ideology. The focus of this research is on describing the ideational meaning of verbal and visual data. This research method is qualitative with a multimodal discourse analysis approach. The data source for this research is multimodal posts in the form of a combination of visual mode (image) and verbal mode (caption). The post in question is a post about "The Game of Bakiak" which was uploaded on social media Instagram G20 2022. Based on the analysis of the verbal mode, material processes, relational processes and behavioral processes were found in describing the game of Bakiak. Of these three processes, the material process is very dominant. This shows that Bakiak is described as a physical sport carried out by humans in groups. Apart from that, in the image mode, an actional narrative process is found. This is in line with the ideational meaning in the verbal mode, namely that this post describes a physical sport carried out in a group and coordinated. Ideologically, this game has the moral value of cooperation and team coordination. In the context of the spirit and moral values ​​of the G20, it needs to be adopted by the global community, especially the G20 countries, in facing the challenges after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how family communication within Muslim communities in the modern era can be strengthened by examining the wonders of the Qur'an. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a natural phenomenological approach. Data were collected through the review of various publications and the observation of phenomena both directly and indirectly, which were then analyzed to draw conclusions. The findings indicate that the Qur'an plays a crucial role as a solution and guide in facing the advancements of the modern era and the world of technology. The main findings include: 1) The importance of putting away devices when gathering with family, 2) Establishing good communication, and 3) Using the Qur'an as a family guide. Through this research, it is highlighted that good communication is essential to deepen loving relationships within the family. Without effective communication, the atmosphere within the family becomes chaotic and disorganized, making it difficult to achieve a harmonious family. Many family problems in the modern era stem from family members being preoccupied with their devices, lack of commitment, and poor communication, which distances the family from the guidance of the Qur'an.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to examine news about interfaith marriages on Indonesian news portals. The issue of interfaith marriage is sensitive in Indonesia because it is related to religion, culture, and social society. This research uses Entman framing analysis. This analysis is divided into four concepts, namely defining the problem, factors causing the problem, moral decisions, and problem-solving. Detik.com carries out externalization by adapting to sociocultural conditions where Indonesia's diverse society requires diverse information. Detik.com does not consider religious ideology as a basis for reporting. Republika.co media to be intersubjective to institutionalize approval for the legalization of interfaith marriages with constitutional legitimacy. Republika.co describes itself as a media that represents Muslim groups. Internalization of Kompas.com is guided by its vision to respect the diversity and diversity of Indonesian society. Abstract

Nepotism is one of the social disease phenomena that has existed since ancient times and still exists today. This article aims to discuss Nepotism and its impact on social life from the perspective of the hadith of the Prophet PBUH. In addition, data was also obtained from other related documents such as books and relevant research. The results of this study show that nepotism is the practice of giving certain positions, beliefs or tasks to others, both family and close friends, without considering their credibility and capabilities where things are not based on their ability to carry out tasks or positions, but because of personal relationships. As a result, this can trigger chaos and even destruction within the organization or institution in question. Some of the characteristics of the practice of nepotism are depicted in the hadith of the Prophet, such as the absence or even lack of professionalism and expertise in the tasks given, as well as the absence of integrity, namely the inability to realize his ideas and thoughts for the sake of the public interest. Therefore, this can trigger chaos in the pattern of social comfort and even result in the destruction of the hereafter.

Abstract

The war conflict between Palestine and Israel which occurred in October 2023 has now attracted the attention of the whole world, such as Indonesia. As a result of this conflict, the Indonesian people condemned the heinous actions of the Israeli army which destroyed the Gaza Strip in Palestine. This research explains that the Indonesian people provide full support through altruistic behavior towards Palestine. This research used a mixed method with a total of 112 respondents who were Muslims and Christians from the Bugis, Makassar, Javanese, Sundanese, Timor Leste, Banjar, Manado, Batak and Aceh ethnic groups. The research results show that this war conflict made the Indonesian people give full support to Palestine. The form of support provided is in accordance with aspects of altruistic behavior, namely materially, helping spread news via social media as a form of support for Palestine, boycotting pro-Israel products so that the Israeli economy declines and makes it difficult to buy weapons. Apart from that, pay attention by condemning Israel's actions and feeling empathy. The reason people behave altruistically is because of their shared religion as Muslims, a sense of humanity, compassion and empathy, and a form of solidarity. The hope in this research is that the Indonesian people want peace and an end to war between countries in conflict.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the implications of religiosity behavior on work motivation in LGBT people in Gorontalo and religious behavior has implications for improving the work quality of LGBT people in Gorontalo. The subject of this study is the LGBT community in Gorontalo City and Muslims, they already have an official community with comprehensive management and personal structure.
