Abstract

The main objective of this study was to determine the profile of Heart Rate Recovery (HRR) after conducting Exercise Maximal (EM) using speed tests, namely sprints, quantitative research methods while the research sample was 86 male student athletes consisting of 5 athletic athletes, 17 volleyball athletes, 22 hockey athletes, 15 roller skating athletes, 15 beach volleyball athletes and 3 court tennis athletes. the first data collection participants performed a sprint speed test of 30m. Furthermore, HRR is measured using the Polar type H10 tool using the Polar Team monitor system. Furthermore, HRR is recorded at minutes 1,2,3,4, and 5 shortly after doing maximum exercise. Furthermore, by using the paired t-test and friedman's test to see the significance of the difference in values every minute. Furthermore, to get a poor heart rate recovery profile, a calculation of ΔHRR with a maximum heart rate (HR) is carried out. the results showed a significant difference in HRR values of 1, 2, and 3 χ2F (2) = 170.02, p<0.001 using friedman's test. significant differences were also found in hrr values 4 and 5 using paired sample t-test HRR 4 (Mean=104.07, SD=8.838) and HRR 5 (Mean=95.35, SD=7.232) under conditions; t(85)=15.618, p=0.000. furthermore, in order for the difference in HRR to be meaningful, further tests were carried out by looking for Δ HRR1,2,3,4, and 5 with HRmaximal and obtained the values of ΔHRR 1 19.18±6.6, then in order Δ HRR 2: 29.45±7.10, Δ HRR 3: 38.06±6.88, Δ HRR 4:43.72±5.54, and ΔHRR 5:48.44±4.67. In this study, it can be proven that the HRR profile in student athletes can be used as an indicator of athletes' readiness to receive and participate in training programs.

Abstract

Studies that examine the biomotor component and shooting skill have been widely carried out in the sports field. These kinds of studies explained that the biomotor component has a very positive effect on improving shooting skills in football. However, the results of each study tend to be different, so it is necessary to conduct an inclusive data analysis to provide comprehensive information about the importance of the biomotor component to improve the shooting skill of football players. This study examined the effect size test of the biomotor component on the shooting skill of football players. The research type used was a meta-analysis study. The data source in this study was Google Scholar. The search literatures were from various sources using keywords: “power” AND “precision” AND “reaction” AND “balance” AND “explosive power” AND “agility” AND “coordination” AND “soccer shooting” 230 articles were obtained which were then filtered based on inclusion and exclusion criteria and 11 articles were analyzed. The data analysis was carried out through the stages of identifying variables, identifying the value of r, transforming the value of r into a z distribution, which was the effect size of each study, calculating the variance, calculating the standard error of z, and calculating the summary effect. The summary effect calculation was using Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) software. The results of the analysis using the random effects model showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the biomotor component and the shooting skill of soccer players (z = 6.018, p<0.001, 95%CI, (0.484; 0.951). The influence between the biomotor component and the shooting skill of soccer players was included in the high category (rRE=0,717). The results of the study can be concluded that the biomotor component has a positive loreational relationship with the shooting ability of soccer players.

Abstract

Incidents of injuries that were experienced by track and field athletes in training and matches that are not handled properly. As a result, injury recovery is not always ideal, putting athletes at risk for more serious injuries. This study aims to evaluate the types and treatment of injuries that occur in athletes from the Indonesian Athletics Association (PASI) in East Java Province. This research was conducted in cross-sectional with descriptive and comparative data analysis methods. There were 141 athletic athletes aged 17.97 ± 2.314 years participated in this study. Different test analysis was carried out based on gender, age, and number of competitions that were followed. The instrument used is a questionnaire whose statement items have been tested for validity using Pearson Product Moment and show valid results (p-value <0.05). The results of the normality test showed that the data did not have a normal distribution (p-value <0.05). The non-parametric test showed no significant differences in the perception of injury management based on gender, age, and match number (p-value > 0.05). Furthermore, on the athlete's knowledge, the majority of athletes still believe in traditional handling and do not know first aid for injuries using the Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation (RICE) method.
