Abstract

This paper aims to answer the question: what is the concept of enlightenment according to the Buddhist wheel of life, also known as Bhavacakra. The very aim of Buddhism is to attain Nirvana, not a temporary rebirth in happy realms such as heaven or gods. There are few ways to understand enlightenment (bodhi) and several levels according to either Pali scripture. The Sanskrit scripture represents by the Tibetan and Chinese scripture also given a various range of interpretation. In order to have a broader view then it will be logical to look at those sources. Buddhists aim to attain the highest happiness that is Nirvana. Buddha himself and many teachers have laid down so many methods for us. Our ancestor teachers such as Nagarjuna, Aryadeva, and Buddhaghosa also gave many significant commentaries on this matter, especially those recorded in the Buddhist Wheel of life, teaching the twelve interdependent links.

Abstract

Bureaucracy is the most important part in the course of a government. Like the Max Weber Model which still exists in the bureaucratic system in Indonesia. This can be seen how the Weber Model is still an option in implementing a powerful bureaucracy from time to time. However, is this model still a bullet and a selling point that has a high character in creating good governance as described by de Gay who in his bureaucratic theory states that the most important thing in bureaucracy and a service is work ethic. This research is to see the rationality of Max Weber's Bureaucracy Model in the Modernization of Public Service Bureaucracy in the Industrial Era 4.0 (Case Study of Medan City E-KTP Service). This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with strengthening the literature to analyze cases and conduct discussions. The results of this study are first, the Medan Department of Population and Civil Registration implementation still mostly uses administration and written documents and this tends to make the office (bureau) the center of a modern organization, secondly, staff members are personally free, in the sense that they only carry out their duties. This impersonal task according to their position looks stiff and still exists in some staff, third, the separation of powers also still needs to be considered because it can also have positive and negative effects with the quality of performance and limited employee skills and amateur administration is still in the Department of Population and Civil Registration Medan. Recommendations from this research Department of Population and Civil Registration Medan need to develop and strengthen services through digitization, the concept of team work needs to be strengthened and it needs to be strengthened and developed the competence of staff expertise with soft skills to reduce the meaning of amateur administration using honorary staff

This Covid-19 pandemic has elevated Indonesia to emergency status, prompting the government to implement an emergency PPKM policy, as detailed in Minister of Home Affairs Instruction 15 of 2021 on the enactment of restrictions on community activities in the Java and Bali provinces. This legal research examines the laws and regulations governing the treatment of the Covid-19 epidemic in Indonesia using the conceptual approach and the statute approach. This legal research draws on secondary primary law sources, including statutes and regulations pertaining to the legal topics covered, as well as legal publications such as textbooks, legal dictionaries, legal journals, and other legal literature.

Abstract

Long-term economic and trade cooperation. For the next stage, OKI is expected to lead to higher economic development, such as cooperation in the financial sector. This paper will discussed the possibility of OIC member countries work together to form a common currency area. They use the VAR method approach to test the possibility of a common currency area among OIC member countries. Starting with countries in the Middle East region such as Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, data analysis from 1975-2011 shows that it is possible to establish a common currency area before finally being used as a reference for the formation of the region. Common currency within the scope of OIC members. The study results show that demand and supply fluctuations align with structural fluctuations in five countries (Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates). This indicates a standard exchange rate system pegged to a particular currency, namely the US Dollar. There is an opportunity for economic integration at a higher level. However, for Kuwait, which is opposite to the other five countries, it can be caused by various factors such as differences in the monetary system to patterns of economic growth and macro policies in the local country. So that these factors can also be an inhibiting factor for the occurrence of a common currency area between companies OIC members.
