Abstract

The Indonesian correctional system has shifted from a retributive to a rehabilitative approach, aiming to rehabilitate inmates so they can reintegrate into society. Social reintegration plays a crucial role in this process but faces challenges such as social stigma, limited facilities, and inmates' lack of preparedness. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Social Reintegration Program at Class IIA Serang Prison, focusing on correctional stages, implementation barriers, and improvement strategies. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and document studies. Findings reveal that the program follows four key stages: admission and orientation, advanced personality development, assimilation, and community integration. While the program positively impacts inmates’ readiness to rejoin society, challenges remain, including limited training facilities, lack of community support, and inadequate post-release supervision. The study concludes that social reintegration can be more effective with enhanced training facilities, increased public awareness, and strengthened post-release assistance by the Correctional Center (Bapas). Abstract

This study examines the influence of work shift implementation and work motivation on employee productivity at PT Sumber Bintang Rezeki Jimbaran in Semarang Regency. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method, data were collected from 38 employees through a structured questionnaire. Multiple regression analysis revealed that both work shift implementation and work motivation individually had significant positive effects on employee productivity. The two variables collectively explained 67.9% of the variance in employee productivity. The findings highlighted that while both factors significantly influence productivity, work motivation demonstrated a slightly stronger effect. Analysis of demographic data showed a predominantly female (84.2%) and young workforce (60.5% aged 20-25 years), which may influence shift adaptation and motivational patterns. The study contributes practical implications for manufacturing companies in Indonesia seeking to optimize productivity through effectively designed shift systems and targeted motivational strategies tailored to specific workforce demographics. Abstract

This study looks at how well of the Grover models, Springate, and Altman Z-Score in forecasting financial distress at PT Sritex and how useful they are in the Indonesian textile industry. The approach that was taken was descriptive quantitative, and it made employment of supplementary data from the IDX website from the perspective of financial accounts for the years 2019–2023. The Altman Z-Score model's 0% accuracy indicates its inefficiency, in contrast, the Springate and Grover models both have an accuracy of forty percent. Despite the fact that the most recent two models provide a more realistic representation of the company's current financial status, the prediction error rate is still substantial (type error 60%). This shows that the Altman Z-Score is less reliable, while Springate and Grover are more accurate, although still limited. Therefore, it is not recommended to rely on only one model in assessing a company's financial risk. This research also opens up opportunities for further studies with a wider range of industries to obtain more comprehensive and accurate results. Keywords: Financial distress, Grover, Springate, Altman Z-Score

Abstract

Prisoner development is the core of the correctional system, which aims to prepare inmates to return to society as productive individuals. One of the determining factors for the success of the development program is the leadership implemented by correctional officials, especially the head of the correctional institution (prison) and community counselors (PK). This article discusses the concept of caring leadership and its strategic role in improving the quality of prisoner development. Through a descriptive qualitative approach and literature study, this article finds that leaders who demonstrate empathy, openness, effective communication, and consistency in action are able to create a more humane coaching environment, support rehabilitation, and reduce recidivism. Abstract

Correctional Institutions (Lapas) encounter several challenges related to organizational complexity, such as high population density, limited human resources, and significant work pressure, all of which impact employee performance. In this context, the application of the Hersey-Blanchard situational leadership model is an important strategy to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services at the Class IIA Bandung Women's Prison. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach that aims to analyze adaptive role leadership in managing diverse employees and adjusting leadership styles according to their level of readiness and competence. The results of the study indicate that situational leadership style is able to strengthen work motivation, improve communication, and improve employee performance through an appropriate adjustment approach according to the situation at hand. This model is expected to provide a positive contribution in creating a more productive, adaptive work environment that is able to face organizational challenges effectively. Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of stakeholders in legal aid services at the Surakarta Class I State Detention Center, with a focus on the involvement of internal and external parties, such as the Mawar Saron Legal Aid Institute. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collection through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation studies, and analysis using NVivo12 Pro. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results showed that the role of each stakeholder is important in ensuring the quality of legal aid for detainees, although there are obstacles in its implementation, such as limited resources and fluctuations in the number of legal aid recipients. The researcher found that stakeholder engagement still needs to be improved, especially in terms of more effective communication and improved leadership at the level of the Head of Detention Center and Director of LBH Mawar Saron. The recommendations resulting from this research are the importance of strengthening cooperation between stakeholders and optimizing communication strategies to improve legal aid services in Surakarta Class I Detention Center. Abstract

This research was conducted on DANA e-wallet users in Kupang City. This study aims to determine and analyze, both partially and simultaneously, the effect of perceived usefulness and trust on intention to use the e-wallet DANA in Kupang City. This study uses perceived usefulness and trust as independent variables and usage intention as the dependent variable. The number of samples was 100 respondents, with the sampling technique used being purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing through the t-test, F-test, and analysis of the coefficient of determination (R²) using the SPSS 23 application. The results of the descriptive analysis show that overall respondents gave a very good perception assessment of perceived usefulness and trust. The results of the t-test and F-test show that partially perceived usefulness and trust have a significant effect on intention to use. Based on the adjusted R² value, the contribution of the perceived usefulness and trust variables to intention to use is 68.5%. While the remaining 31.5% of the Usage Intention variable is influenced by other variables not discussed in this study, such as risk perception, service features, and level of understanding. For this reason, it is suggested that further researchers can further examine variables outside of this study that can influence intention to use, and not only on DANA e-wallet but also on other types of e-wallets, such as OVO, Gopay, and Shopee Pay. Keywords: Perceived Benefits; Trust; Intention to Use

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of events or political occurrences on the presidential and vice-presidential elections in Indonesia in 2019. This study employs an event study method, which examines an event in relation to the abnormal returns of property sector stocks on the market before and after the elections in 2019. This research was conducted seven days before and seven days after the election in 2019. The sampling technique was conducted using the purposive sampling method, yielding 20 samples. Analysis of the data in this study utilized the Shapiro-Wilk one-sample test for normality, and hypothesis testing employed the one-sample t-test and paired samples t-test. The results of the one-sample t-test and the paired sample t-test indicated that there were no abnormal stock returns during the period before and after the presidential and vice-presidential elections in 2019.
