Abstract

Purpose: To develop effective teaching strategies that keep up with technological advancements and meet student needs, ensuring they gain practical and comprehensive knowledge in informatics and computers. These strategies aim to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for academic success and future careers in technology. Method: This study uses a student-centered approach, focusing on teacher-student interaction and the use of technology in teaching. Data is collected through student feedback on teaching methods and interviews with teachers and staff. The data is analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of informatics and computer teaching at SMK Santo Gabriel Maumere.  Practical Application: Provide guidance for teachers at SMK Santo Gabriel Maumere to improve the effectiveness of informatics and computer teaching. With better teaching methods, teachers can create more engaging and interactive strategies, helping students better understand technology. Conclusion: The teaching methods for informatics and computers at SMK Santo Gabriel Maumere need improvement for better results. Combining qualitative and quantitative evaluations offers valuable insights into teaching performance and guides future curriculum development.

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this research is to improve computer laboratory management in the context of education. The focus is on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of resource utilization and improving students' learning experiences in the computer laboratory environment. This research also aims to identify the challenges faced by the computer laboratory and develop strategies to improve the quality of learning, producing excellent and competitive competencies. Method: The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. The research techniques include observation and interviews to analyze user needs, evaluate infrastructure, and model sustainable management. Practical Applications: This research can provide insights for computer laboratory administrators, technicians, and educational managers. The recommended strategies can improve the accessibility and availability of computer resources, thereby enhancing students' learning experiences. Conclusion: By optimizing the management of computer laboratories, an approach focused on resource efficiency can create a dynamic learning environment. Through the identified practices, educational institutions can improve technology services and significantly support students' academic development.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to assist the MSME "D'Zegerrr" in improving their Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) determination, product branding, and social media optimization. Established during the Covid-19 pandemic, "D'Zegerrr" produces traditional herbal drinks but faces challenges in accurately calculating COGS and creating a strong brand presence. Method: Analyzing current production costs, refining the COGS calculation using the Full Variable Costing method, improving product branding with a suitable slogan and packaging, and optimizing social media usage. Practical Applications: Practical applications of the study include helping the business better understand cost components, enhance brand identity, and increase engagement on social media platforms. Conclusion: The results show that by recalculating the COGS, "D'Zegerrr" can price their products more accurately, ensuring a fair profit margin. Additionally, the adoption of the slogan "Your health comes first" and the use of social media for brand promotion have increased customer awareness, positioning the MSME for greater market success.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to optimize the intranet network at Vocational High School Gedangan by using Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN). The main goal is to enhance network performance and security, especially in environments with numerous users, where LAN structures face management and security challenges. Method: The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing observations and interviews with the school's IT staff to understand how VLAN is implemented and its advantages. The data collected is used to analyze how VLAN can improve network efficiency and flexibility. Practical Applications: By segmenting the network with VLAN, the school can better manage user access and isolate different departments or student groups. This helps prevent network congestion and reduces potential security threats, contributing to a more reliable and secure system for daily operations and learning processes. Conclusion: VLAN implementation at Vocational High School Gedangan significantly optimizes the network's performance and security, creating a more efficient and safer environment for both administration and educational activities.

Abstract

Purpose: Omah Singkong MSMEs focuses on processing frozen tubers and has significant potential in the local economy of Malang City. The purpose of this community service is to provide comprehensive assistance by utilizing technology, especially the vacuum sealer machine, to improve product quality and competitiveness and marketing strategies. Consequently, this MSMEs is expected to expand its market share, increase income, and become a pillar of a sustainable and inclusive local economy. Method: The following methods were used: 1) problem identification; 2) implementation of activities; and 3) program evaluation. These activities were carried out at the Omah Singkong MSMEs, Karangploso, Malang Regency. Practical Applications: The results of this community services activity are evident in the improved quality and competitiveness of Omah Singkong MSMEs products using the Vacuum Sealer machine to improve packaging efficiency and extend the shelf life of frozen products. Moreover, the provided managerial training has a positive impact by enhancing skills in operational management, stock management, and marketing strategies, preparing MSMEs to take a more active role in supporting local economic growth and improving the welfare of society. Conclusion: This community service program improved Omah Singkong MSMEs’ product quality and competitiveness through vacuum sealer technology and managerial training. These enhancements support market expansion, income growth, and the MSMEs’ role in Malang’s local economy.

Abstract

Purpose: UPR Mandiri Abadi is a community hatchery unit that focuses on catfish production at the grow-out stage. The rearing process is carried out for three months with the harvest of catfish weighing 1 kg per 6 fish. Currently, catfish distribution is mostly in the South Sumatra area, such as restaurants and catfish pecel sellers. Because the distance is up to two hours between the UPR location in Kenten and the sales area in Indralaya, post-harvest handling using cold chains is the right solution to maintain fish quality. Method: In this service activity, the team provided counseling to UPR Mandiri Abadi members regarding post-harvest fish handling techniques using cold chains. Members actively participated by asking various questions regarding good cold chain procedures for fish shipments. Practical Applications: This service activity also includes training and outreach materials which are designed to be easily understood and applied by catfish farmers, especially in terms of shipping fish using a cold chain system. Conclusion: Through this outreach, UPR Mandiri Abadi can maintain the quality of fresher catfish so that it can attract more consumers and increase fish sales.

Abstract

Purpose: MSMEs often struggle to establish a strong brand identity due to inconsistent product naming within their offerings. This lack of brand cohesion can hinder customer recognition and engagement. Consequently, consumers may have difficulty associating various products with a single manufacturer. To address this challenge, e-marketing and rebranding strategies can be implemented to create a unified and memorable brand image. By effectively employing these tactics, MSMEs can enhance brand awareness and foster customer loyalty, ultimately expanding their market reach and driving business success. Method: This article examines the branding challenges faced by MSMEs and introduces e-marketing and rebranding as effective solutions. It analyzes common obstacles, explains the strategies, and highlights their benefits for MSME success. Practical Applications: 1) Improved brand awareness, 2) Increased brand engagement; 3) Building a strong brand identity: 4) Increase customer loyalty; 5) Diversify sales. Conclusion: This article emphasizes the significance of branding for MSMEs and proposes e-marketing and rebranding as effective strategies to address common challenges. By adopting these approaches, MSMEs can enhance brand awareness, foster customer engagement, and cultivate loyalty, ultimately solidifying their market presence.

Abstract

Purpose: Profile videos as promotional media can be utilized across multiple platforms, including social media, websites, portfolios, YouTube, presentations, marketing initiatives, events, and webinars. This promotional material is crucial for enhancing sales and motivating people to make purchases. When utilized effectively, promotional media can enhance a company's exposure and appeal, positively influencing sales. Method: The process consists of three stages: pre-production, which involves conducting a SWOT analysis, brainstorming concepts, and creating storyboards. The production step involves video editing, followed by the post-production stage, which entails releasing the video on social media. Practical Applications: The anticipated outcomes of producing a profile video include a substantial enhancement in brand awareness, the engagement of the target audience, and the cultivation of stronger customer relationships through the effective communication of the company's vision, mission, and values, thereby fostering conversions and increased loyalty in the future. Conclusion: This profile video functions to promote the shop through publications on social media such as websites, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Choosing a strategy for using profile videos can function as promotional media on various online platforms in the current digital era, in order to increase company visibility and have a positive impact on company sales and revenues.

Abstract

Purpose: This study article seeks to examine the efficacy of a training program centered on solar cell application to improve edutourism in Pulau Pari. The study seeks to tackle the issue of insufficient knowledge and skills in renewable energy within the local community and emphasize the importance of integrating sustainable practices in the tourism industry. Method: This investigation implements a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data was gathered using pre- and post-training evaluations to assess the enhancement of participants' knowledge and skills. Qualitative data was acquired via interviews and observations to elucidate the individuals' experiences and perceptions. The data underwent analysis by descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. Practical Applications: The results of this study have practical implications for the tourism industry as a whole and for the local community of Pulau Pari. The outputs of the training program can guide the creation of analogous programs in other locations, fostering the implementation of renewable energy and sustainable practices in edutourism. The findings may also assist policymakers and tourist stakeholders in incorporating solar cell implementation into their strategy for sustainable tourism development. Conclusion: The study's results demonstrate that the training program on solar cell application for enhancing edutourism in Pari Island has successfully improved participants' knowledge and abilities in renewable energy. The program can enhance the island's sustainable development by diminishing reliance on traditional energy sources and fostering eco-friendly tourism habits. The findings highlight the importance of integrating renewable energy education and training into community-based tourism programs to promote sustainability and resilience against global environmental concerns.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to provide training and assistance to Dimsum Lunaire MSMEs in Salatiga City to enhance their digital marketing capabilities through content marketing and the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The focus is on AI-driven product photo design, content creation, and website development to increase the competitiveness and sales of Dimsum Lunaire. Method: The community service activities were carried out through hands-on training and mentoring provided directly to the MSME owners. These activities included practical sessions on social media optimization, website development, and AI applications for efficient content marketing. Practical Applications: This initiative is designed to equip Dimsum Lunaire MSMEs with the necessary skills and knowledge to utilize digital marketing tools effectively. By leveraging social media platforms and AI, the MSMEs are better positioned to adapt to the digital era, improve their marketing strategies, and expand their customer base. Conclusion: The community service has demonstrated that digital marketing training and support for Dimsum Lunaire MSMEs resulted in valuable outcomes such as well-structured content plans, high-quality product photos, engaging content designs, and an operational website. These resources will enable Dimsum Lunaire to continue developing and improving their digital marketing efforts.
