Abstract

This study examines the BHATATSA Method (Read, Memorize, Tadabbur, Write, and Act) as a new paradigm in Quranic learning at the Alam Sayang Ibu Islamic Boarding School. Developed by Jamaludin, the founder of PAMSI, this method is designed to complement the tahsin and tahfiz approaches with tafhim (understanding), resulting in a comprehensive and contextual learning process. BHATATSA emphasizes keyword analysis, inspirational writing, and concrete actions as a form of internalization of Quranic values ​​in the lives of students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of Quranic Diary activities. Data were collected from the founder, teachers, and students, and analyzed descriptively and qualitatively through the stages of condensation, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Validity was maintained through triangulation. The findings indicate that the BHATATSA method combines learning principles from Islamic heritage such as the theory of Sufyan bin Uyainah and Bloom's taxonomy, which each emphasize the stages of reading, understanding, memorizing, practicing, and disseminating. These five stages are adapted into activities that engage the five senses plus two: the heart and the mind, making learning more lively and reflective. This method has been tested for five years on digital platforms and four years in educational institutions. The results demonstrate that BHATATSA is able to improve Quranic literacy, develop critical thinking, and strengthen the role of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as adaptive and transformative Islamic educational institutions in the modern era.

Abstract

Community participation is an important factor in holding elections. Various efforts continue to be made to increase political participation in elections, one of which is through political education programs. The most strategic political education target is the group of beginner voters as potential voters. In Singkarak the level of community political participation reached 70.90%. with a percentage of 15% being the votes of first-time voters. The research method used is a field research method with a qualitative descriptive method. The aim of the research is to see whether the rate of political participation in Nagari Singkarak is caused by efforts to increase political education. The research results show that political education has an impact on voter participation in elections. In Nagari Singkarak, novice voters admitted that they received political education through the formal education route they took. Apart from that, political education is also obtained by novice voters through political socialization activities carried out by a number of political actors in Nagari Singkarak, starting from the KPU, political parties, community organizations, community institutions, families and mass media. Meanwhile, according to Siyasah Fiqh, appointing an imam (leader) is obligatory, the obligatory status is fardhu kifayah. So if someone does not play a role in choosing a leader, it means that he is not carrying out what has been ordered by Islamic law)

Abstract

Dalam hal dugaan larangan pemakaian hijab bagi anggota Paskibraka putri tahun 2024, relasi politik dan agama sangat penting. Di mana, kebijakanpublik yang berkaitan dengan ekspresi agama harus mempertimbangkan hak asasi manusia, termasuk kebebasan beragama, yang diakui dan dilindungi oleh konstitusi Indonesia. Artikel ini bertujuan (1) mengidentifikasi tanggapan pemerintah dan kelompok keagamaan dan terhadap kebijakan tersebut; (2) menganalisis bagaimana hukum agama Islam; dan (3) mendeskripsikan solusi atas polemik dalam konteks demokrasi Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Diskusi dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: Pertama, larangan ini dianggap menimbulkan kontroversi karena dianggap melanggar kebebasan beragama dan hak perempuan Muslimah, yang menyebabkan sikap diskriminatif, kontradiktif, dan kebijakan yang tidak sesuai dengan Pancasila. Kedua, kewajiban penggunaan hijab sebagaimana tertulis dalam QS. Al-Ahzab: 59, dan HR. Abu Dawud. Bahwa, perempuan Muslimah diharuskan mengenakan hijab saat keluar dari rumah. Ini dilakukan untuk menutup aurat dan dapat membantu dalam ketaatan agama, identitas keagamaan, dan perlindungan diri dari orang lain. Ketiga, beberapa solusi atas permasalahan tersebut yaitu, memberikan kebebasan dalam menganut beragama; memberikan ruang dialogyang inklusif; memberikan penegakan prinsip non-diskriminasi; dan menciptakan prinsip berdasarkan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Supaya kebijakan yang ditetapkan menjaga harmoni, keadilan, dan persatuan dalam keberagaman masyarakat.

Abstract

This study examines the role of TikTok in enhancing political participation among students, specifically among Geography students from the 2022 cohort at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Medan. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with triangulation techniques (interviews, observations, and documentation), the research found that TikTok positively contributes to deepening students' political understanding, increasing their awareness of political issues, and encouraging involvement in political discussions. Overall, TikTok proves effective in increasing political participation, but improvements in information verification are necessary to maximize its educational role. Kata Kunci : TikTok, political participation, students, political content, media literacy.

Abstract

This article aimed to examine how Islamic education was taught in Muslim families and to what extent education in those families supported extremism, one suspected of involvement in some religious extremist cases in Indonesia. Considering the participation of all family members, such as husbands, wives, and children, simultaneously in some suicide bombing cases, it is essential to examine parental education levels, roles, and functions in such families. This study highlights the shift in the traditional role of wives, who were previously underappreciated but now play a significant role in shaping the family's religious beliefs. The primary focus of the study is to examine how families can become a means of spreading extremist ideologies. The study gathered data through a literature review and in-depth interviews with families suspected of involvement in extremist activities in Indonesia. The findings showed that families could serve as a conduit for the propagation and dissemination of extremism, with women, particularly wives, and children, occasionally being susceptible to indoctrination under the guise of education. In contrast, at other times, wives act as agents responsible for transmitting extremist ideologies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas konsep musyawarah dalam perspektif Al-Qur’an sebagai suatu prinsip mendasar dalam Islam yang relevan dengan berbagai aspek kehidupan sosial. Musyawarah adalah proses diskusi yang melibatkan pertukaran pendapat dari berbagai pihak terkait suatu masalah, yang kemudian dipertimbangkan untuk mencapai keputusan terbaik demi kemaslahatan bersama. Tujuannya adalah mengkaji konsep dan nilai musyawarah dalam al-Qur’an relevansinya dalam pengambilan keputusan modern. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan tafsir tematik (maudhū‘ī) untuk menganalisis prinsip musyawarah dalam Al-Qur'an. Setiap ayat menggambarkan konteks dan tujuan musyawarah, mulai dari penyelesaian masalah keluarga hingga proses pengambilan keputusan dalam masyarakat. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa musyawarah bukan hanya sebagai diskusi terbuka, tetapi juga mencerminkan etika Islam yang menuntut kebijaksanaan, kelembutan, dan rasa tanggung jawab terhadap sesama. Dengan memahami konsep ini, diharapkan penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan bagi literatur keislaman dan menjadi panduan praktis bagi umat muslim dalam membangun harmoni sosial berdasarkan nilai-nilai Qur’ani.

Abstract

One of the social problem issues that is currently being discussed is corruption. The rise of corruption practiced by certain individuals has created new social problems. Because of the complexity of this problem, researchers are interested in making it as anobject of research. In this case, the research will focus on the thematic analysis of corruption in the perspective of tafseer al-Qur'an, especially Tafsir Al-Azhar. The result show that the issue of corruption is discussed quite specifically in the Tafsir Al-Azhar. Meanwhile, the structural-functionalism theory in this research acts as a scalpel which is used as a tool to sharpen the analysis process. This is show Hamka's seriousness in highlighting corruption cases by giving a separate portion of discussion in his tafseer.

Abstract

Abstrak Tulisan ini menganalisis interpretasi Ustadzah Halimah tentang kisah penciptaan Nabi Adam hingga diturunkannya dari surga yang tercantum dalam Surah al-Baqarah [2]: 31-37. Penelitian ini layak diulas karena terdapat perbedaan penafsiran Ustadzah Halimah terkait kisah Nabi Adam. Telaah deskriptif analitis bersumber dari media online yakni kajian kisah Ustadzah Halimah yang diunggah pada akun YouTube @Ustadzah Halimah Alaydrus. Penulis menggunakan pendekatan analisis struktur narasi milik Labov dan Waletzky untuk mengeksplorasi lima struktur interpretasi Ustadzah Halimah, yaitu 1) Orientasi, 2) Klimaks, 3) Evaluasi, 4) Resolusi, dan 5) Koda. Berdasarkan itu, tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa penafsiran Ustadzah Halimah terkait kisah penciptaan Nabi Adam sedikit berbeda dengan narasi konvensional yang menempatkan Sayyidah Hawa sebagai inisiator. Ditinjau dari analisis struktur milik Labov dan Waletzky, hal ini terletak pada bagian Evaluasi yakni bahwa Nabi Adam yang mengajak Sayyidah Hawa untuk memakan buah larangan Allah. Pada bagian ini Ustadzah Halimah juga menerangkan bahwa Nabi Adam melakukan hal tersebut dengan sadar dan bukan karena termakan bujuk rayu iblis. Abstract

The background of this study focuses on the moral crisis emerging due to shifting interaction patterns in the digital era. This crisis has intensified with the rise of social media, influencing ethical values and behavior. The research problem centers on how Tafsir Al-Qurthubi can provide ethical solutions for this issue. The study aims to explore Al-Qurthubi’s perspective on morality and its relevance to the digital age. The research employs a qualitative method with textual analysis through literature studies. Data sources include relevant Quranic verses, Tafsir Al-Qurthubi, and secondary references. The findings reveal that Al-Qurthubi offers moral solutions through principles such as taqwa (piety), careful speech, and ethical conduct. In conclusion, Tafsir Al-Qurthubi remains relevant in addressing ethical challenges in the digital era, particularly in guiding healthy social media interactions. The use of technology in moral education is also recommended as an additional solution.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze politics on online media and its relationship to the development of hoax narratives in Islamic boarding schools located in the Gunung Sari area, West Lombok. Through a comparison of the Islamic boarding school in Tegal and Kekait, this study examines the forms of response from the students at both Islamic boarding schools to the political news they receive. The main focus of this research is on the online media aspect and the responses of the students at the pesantren to the various hoax narratives that are spreading. This research uses a sociological approach with a qualitative method. Data was collected from structured interviews and non-participant observation. Additionally, this research used an analysis of various fake news stories circulating in online media accessed by the students as supporting data. The findings of this study are that online media contributes to the spread of hoax narratives in Islamic boarding schools in Gunung Sari. The forms of hoax narratives that spread depend on the type of online media accessed by the students.
