Nathiqiyyah Psikologi Islam STAI Diniyah and is managed directly by the Islamic Psychology Study Program, which is published twice a year in June and December. Nathiqiyyah contains articles, thought content, research results, thought results and empirical studies in the field of psychology and Islamic psychology and offers opportunities for interaction, discussion, ideas and ideas from psychologists from the fields of clinics, education, social affairs, Islamic psychology, industry and organizations. The Nathiqiyyah editor invited experts, writers and researchers to contribute to the development of Islamic psychology and psychology from the perspective of psychology studies and other related scientific studies. Abstract

Final-year university students often face complex academic pressures, especially during the thesis-writing process, which requires sufficient academic resilience. This study aims to examine the influence of academic achievement and parental support on the academic resilience of final-year students. A quantitative approach was employed using the Two Way ANOVA analysis technique. The sample consisted of 217 final-year students from six universities in Bandar Lampung, selected through accidental sampling. The results showed no significant joint effect of academic achievement and parental support on academic resilience. Partially, academic achievement did not significantly influence academic resilience, whereas parental support had a significant effect on academic resilience. These findings highlight the crucial role of parental support in fostering academic resilience among students completing their under-graduate thesis. Abstract

This study explores the central role of tawḥīd (Islamic monotheism) as a foundational concept in shaping Islamic approaches to mental health, particularly in addressing the psychological crisis of the modern era. Using a qualitative literature review method, the research analyzes classical and contemporary sources in Islamic theology and psychology to identify the theological, psychological, and therapeutic dimensions of tawḥīd. The findings demonstrate that tawḥīd, as the doctrine of divine oneness, offers more than metaphysical truth; it provides an existential framework that supports emotional stability, spiritual resilience, and psychological well-being. The study highlights how the three dimensions of tawḥīd—rubūbiyyah (divine lordship), ulūhiyyah (divine worship), and asmāʾ wa ṣifāt (divine names and attributes)—contribute to reducing anxiety, instilling purpose, and protecting individuals from identity confusion and spiritual emptiness in the face of social comparison, digital overstimulation, and moral relativism. Moreover, the research emphasizes the practical implementation of tawḥīd through education, daʿwah, and tauhīd-based therapy. It calls for a systemic integration of tawḥīd into modern mental health strategies for Muslim communities. The study concludes that the internalization of tawḥīd is not only essential to religious faith but is also a transformative paradigm for restoring personal peace, meaning, and collective emotional health in a fragmented world.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental pada masa remaja merupakan periode krusial untuk membentuk kebiasaan sosial dan emosional yang esensial bagi kesehatan mental jangka panjang. Literasi kesehatan mental sangat dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan sosial remaja untuk memperkuat kesejahteraan psikologis dalam mengelola emosi positif dan mencapai kepuasan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara literasi kesehatan mental dan kesejahteraan psikologis pada masa emerging adulthood. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 184 remaja yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Literasi kesehatan mental diukur menggunakan skala MHL yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi-dimensi MHL dari Jung, Sternberg, dan Davis (2016), sementara kesejahteraan psikologis diukur menggunakan skala PMH yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi-dimensi PMH dari Sequeira dkk. (2024). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik uji korelasi Pearson untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kedua variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara literasi kesehatan mental dan kesejahteraan psikologis. Peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat melakukan penelitian pada cakupan yang lebih luas dan menambah jumlah sampel penelitian agar jawaban responden lebih bervariasi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of neuroticism personality traits and loneliness on the tendency of nomophobia among university students. Nomophobia refers to the excessive anxiety or fear experienced when individuals are unable to access or use their smartphones, a common condition among students in the digital era. Neuroticism is characterized by emotional instability, while loneliness reflects emotional and social isolation.This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. A total of 110 students from Malahayati University in Bandar Lampung were selected through convenience sampling. The instruments used included the Nomophobia Questionnaire, the Neuroticism Scale, and the UCLA Loneliness Scale . Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression.The results showed that neuroticism and loneliness significantly influenced nomophobia (F = 9.720; p < 0.05). Partially, neuroticism had a significant effect on nomophobia (β = 0.381; p = 0.002), while loneliness did not show a significant effect (β = 0.161; p = 0.143). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 11.8%, indicating that both independent variables contributed 11.8% to the nomophobia tendency.Thus, it can be concluded that neuroticism plays a crucial role in influencing nomophobia among students. Individuals with high neuroticism tend to experience greater anxiety when separated from their smartphones. Keywords : Neuroticism, Loneliness, Nomophobia, University Students

Abstract

Abstract Academic stress and excessive social media use are crucial issues for adolescents, suspected of affecting sleep patterns and quality, which impacts physical and mental health. This study aims to examine the relationship between academic stress, intensity of Instagram use, and sleep quality in adolescents. The study subjects involved 161 students of SMAN 7 and SMAN 16 Bandar Lampung, aged 15–18 years, actively attending school, and using social media. The sample was taken using a quota sampling technique from grades 10, 11, and 12. The instruments used were the PSQI Scale for sleep quality, the SL-SI for academic stress, and the Instagram Use Intensity Scale adapted from the FIS. Multiple regression analysis using SPSS showed a significant relationship between academic stress and intensity of Instagram use with sleep quality (R² = 10.4%, p = 0.034 and 0.001). The majority of subjects had high sleep quality (56.5%), moderate academic stress (57.1%), and moderate intensity of Instagram use (87.5%). These findings indicate both partial and simultaneous influences of independent variables on sleep quality. Keywords: Sleep quality, academic stress, intensity, social media, Instagram

Abstract

This article explores the integration between Qur’anic epistemology and educational psychology in developing children’s cognitive potential. Using a qualitative library research method, the study analyzes Qur’anic verses, classical Islamic thought (al-Ghazālī, Ibn Sīnā, Ibn Khaldūn), and contemporary psychological theories (Piaget, Vygotsky, and Bruner). The findings reveal that while psychology explains the structure of thinking, Islam explains the purpose of thinking. The Qur’an views intellect (‘aql) as a divine trust that leads humans toward ma‘rifatullāh (the knowledge of God) through reflection (tafakkur) and contemplation (tadabbur). The synthesis produces a Qur’anic Cognitive Development Framework (QCDF) that consists of three stages: (1) the activation of innate potential (fitrah), (2) reflective exploration through experience, and (3) rational-spiritual maturity. Practically, the integration encourages teachers to apply Qur’anic reflection-based learning and design holistic assessments that include spiritual reasoning. The study concludes that true cognitive education in Islam aims not only to produce intelligent minds but also enlightened hearts that think within the guidance of divine revelation.

Abstract

PMO (Porn, Masturbation, Orgasm) is often triggered by internal (stress, insomnia, fantasy, spirituality) and external (access to pornography, attraction to the opposite sex) motives. In Islam, khauf is a mental attitude that reflects fear of Allah SWT due to the awareness of imperfection in devotion to Him. According to Imam Al-Ghazali, it includes aspects of knowledge, aspects of hal (state of the heart), and aspects of charity. This study aims to explore more deeply the subjective experiences of PMO perpetrators who use Khauf as a mechanism for awareness of moral alarm and motivation for behavioral change. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection used by researchers is semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis model Miles and Huberman. The initial survey conducted by researchers showed that there were 30 respondents, it was found that PMO perpetrators were dominated by men with a percentage of 90% and 10% women. Fifty percent of users engage in PMO three times a week, 33.3% engage in PMO once a week, and 16.7% engage in PMO daily. Factors contributing to PMO include spiritual factors, psychological factors, social environment, education and information, and habits. The study found that khauf (awareness) is a method of managing emotions through a spiritual approach, moral awareness, developing healthy coping strategies, and strengthening support systems for monitoring.

Abstract

Abstract The psychological immune system is a defense system individuals need to overcome physical and mental health pathologies. This study examines the relationship between religiosity and social support with the psychological immune system. This research is correlational quantitative research. Participants in this study amounted to 535 students of UIN Suska Riau using an accidental sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is the Psychological Immune System, Religiosity, and Social Support Scale. The multiple regression analysis results found a correlation between religiosity, social support, and the psychological immune system, with a regression coefficient of F= 121,938 (p.000) with a contribution of 31.2%. This research implies that the higher the religiosity and social support for students, the more the psychological immune system that is owned will be affected. Keywords: Psychological immune system, religiosity, social support Abstrak Sistem kekebalan psikologis adalah sistem pertahanan yang dibutuhkan oleh individu untuk mengatasi patologi kesehatan fisik dan psikologis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji relasi antara religiusitas dan dukungan sosial dengan sistem imun psikologis dengan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Adapun partisipan yang terlibat adalah berjumlah 535 mahasiswa UIN Suska Riau yang beragama Islam yang didapatkan melalui teknik accidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Psychological Immune System, skala religiusitas dan skala dukungan Sosial. Hasil analisis regresi berganda ditemukan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara religiusitas, dukungan sosial dan sistem imun psikologis dengan koefesien regresi sebesar F= 121.938 (p.000) dengan sumbangan 31,2%. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah semakin tinggi religiusitas dan dukungan sosial bagi mahasiswa, berdampak pada peningkatan sistem imun psikologis yang dimiliki.

Abstract

The behavior of using electronic cigarettes (vaping) is increasingly prevalent among adolescents and raises concerns as it may affect both health and social development. This study aims to examine the relationship between permissive parenting style and self-control with vaping behavior among adolescents. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The sample consisted of 85 adolescents aged 18–25 years, selected through accidental sampling. The instruments used included a vaping behavior scale, a permissive parenting scale, and a self-control scale. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicated a significant relationship between permissive parenting and self-control with vaping behavior. Permissive parenting was found to increase the tendency of adolescents to vape, while low self-control further reinforced this behavior. These findings highlight the crucial role of family and self-regulation skills in preventing vaping behavior among adolescents. Abstract

Thesis anxiety is a psychological condition characterized by excessive worry, nervousness, and fear when facing a final assignment. This study aims to determine the effect of peer social support and academic resilience on academic anxiety in final-year students when writing their theses. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The subjects were final-year students at Malahayati University, Bandar Lampung, selected using a quota sampling technique. The research instruments included an academic anxiety scale, a peer social support scale, and an academic resilience scale. The results showed that simultaneously, peer social support and academic resilience significantly influenced academic anxiety, with an effective contribution of 87.6%. Partially, peer social support and academic resilience both had a significant influence on academic anxiety. Academic resilience was the most dominant factor in reducing anxiety in final-year students. These findings confirm that the combination of social support and academic resilience plays a crucial role in helping students cope with the pressures of thesis writing.
