Abstract

Background: Academic success is the ultimate goal that students must achieve, but the factors that influence it are still unclear. Objectives: This study aims to explore the mediating role of attention to learning in the relationship between academic passion and disciplinary behavior on the academic success of physical education students at the high school level.  Methods: The quantitative research method with a cross-sectional design was carried out on 456 high school students in Subang city. Data collection used a structured questionnaire that included a Passion Scale to measure academic passion, a Self-Discipline Scale to assess disciplinary behavior, an Attention in Learning Scale to measure attention to learning, and a multidimensional instrument to evaluate academic success. Results: The findings of the study showed that academic passion had a significant effect on attention to learning (β = 0.42; p < 0.001). Disciplined behavior also showed a significant influence on attention to learning (β = 0.38; p < 0.001).  Academic passion showed that significantly influence academic success (β = 0.23; p < 0.001).  Disciplined behavior also showed a significant influence on academic success (β = 0.19; p < 0.001).  Learning attention showed a significant influence on academic success (β = 0.51; p < 0.001).   In addition, we observed a significant effect of academic passion on disciplined behavior. (β = 0.58; p < 0.001). Conclusion: This study confirms that academic passion and disciplinary behavior contribute to the academic success of physical education students through direct and indirect mechanisms via the mediation of attention to learning.

Abstract

Background: Teacher Encouragement during Deep Learning (TEDL) based on literature has a positive impact, but it is not yet clear how it affects attention and volleyball technique among students. Objectives: Therefore, the current study aims to analyze the effects of TEDL on improving attention and volleyball techniques among students in physical education (PE) classes. Methods: An experimental method with a pretest-posttest design was adopted in this study. Forty participants were involved, representing students from several high schools in Sukabumi (Indonesia). They were recruited using inclusion criteria and randomly assigned to the TEDL group (n = 20) and the control group (CG) (n = 20). Assessment of attention and basic volleyball techniques was measured at the pretest and posttest stages. Finding/Results: The results of our study show that there are significant main effects of teaching (p < 0.05), time (p < 0.05) and interaction (p < 0.05) on attention and volleyball techniques. Conclusion: We firmly conclude that TEDL can be an alternative teaching model to replace traditional learning in improving attention and volleyball techniques among students. Future research is expected to design TEDL programs for other teaching materials such as basketball, soccer, futsal, swimming, hockey, or badminton.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out which is better between paired under passing exercises with changes in net height and under paired passing exercises with changes in ball weight. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The population of the study was 123 volleyball athletes Club Bina Taruna Semarang. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling that is sampling based on certain characteristics, characteristics, or characteristics. This study only examined a portion of the population with a total of 20 male athletes who were familiar with volleyball, especially underpasses. The instrument in this study was a Brady Wall Volley Test under volleyball passing test. The data obtained were analyzed using a different test (t-test). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between under pairing passing exercises with changes in net height and under pairing passing exercises with changes in ball weight. In the experimental group who got under-passing exercises in pairs with changes in ball weight had better results when compared to the experimental group who got under-passing exercises with changes in net height.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of the basic techniques of shooting football through the section method in SMA Negeri 1 Pangean District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research is a class action research. More specifically this research is collaborative classroom action research, namely collaboration between researchers and field practitioners (Teachers). This research consists of several cycles, each cycle through stages, action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were all students of class XI IPS2 of SMA Negeri 1, Pangean Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency with a total of 29 people. This study uses learning tools and data collection instruments rubric performance football shooting capabilities. In measuring the completeness of students, researchers used the assessment guidelines from the National Education Assessment Center. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the application of the part method can improve the basic technical skills of shooting soccer students in class XI IPS2 of SMA Negeri 1, Pangean Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Based on the findings of this study, it is hoped that physical education teachers can make the method part of the solution in improving students' basic technical skills in sports, especially soccer.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of basketball dribble techniques through the method of Audio Visual media in basketball games class IX IPS 5 SMAN 3 Mandau. This type of research is PTK, the population in the study amounted to 28 students. then the sample taken is total sampling, which is the entire population of 28 students used as samples. Based on the results of data processing in the first cycle there were 9 students who achieved the KKM value (32%), and 19 students who had not yet achieved the KKM value (68%). Classical completeness is achieved when it reaches 80%, in cycle II as many as 25 students have achieved completeness value of 89%. And as many as 3 students who have not yet reached the grade of 11%. Thus it can be concluded that there is a very significant increase in basketball dribble learning outcomes through audio-visual media in the sport of basketball class IX IPS 5 SMA N 3 Mandau Bengkalis Regency.

Abstract

The success of teachers in the learning process in schools is largely determined by the method used. Applying the right method will give good results. This study aims to determine the increase in volleyball learning ability. The subjects of this study were 39 male students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). This data collection uses the ability of students to make modification methods in volleyball smash learning using performance tests (psychomotor). The results of this study are an increase in the satisfactory learning achievement of volleyball using the modified method. In the assessment before the student completeness cycle was 12.8% (5 people), the student completeness in the first cycle assessment was also 12.8% (5 people), while the student completeness in the second cycle assessment was 43.6% (17 people). This proves that the modification method is able to improve the volleyball game smash skills of class XI students of SMK Kansai Pekanbaru. In future research recommendations, it is hoped that other researchers will use this modified method in learning physical education in schools to be more interesting and creative in modifying it and using a large number of samples.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve students' table tennis forehand service skills. This research is a classroom action research. More specifically, this research is collaborative classroom action research, namely collaboration between researchers and field practitioners (teachers). This study consisted of several cycles, each cycle through stages, action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 27 students of class VIII1 SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. This study used learning tools and data collection instruments for the performance rubric of table tennis forehand service skills. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the application of the part method can improve the table tennis forehand service skills of class VIII1 students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. Where from 27 students have shown good results where an increase in the number of children who are able to reach or pass the minimum benchmark reference value (KKM). Based on the findings of this study, it is hoped that physical education teachers can make the method part of a solution in improving table tennis forehand service skills.

Abstract

The purpose of conducting this research is to obtain data on the form of lectures and the results of information on students' efforts to take part in online lectures on PJKR students at the University of PGRI Semarang as a covid effect 19. The research method uses quantitative descriptive using survey methods. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The subjects in this study were PJKR University PGRI Semarang students in the second, fourth and sixth semesters. Research conducted obtained the following results: (a) Aspects of the distribution of students in the second semester 47.7%, semester four 21.2% and semester six 31.1%. (b) The most widely used application aspects are Zoom 34.7%, SIP 41.2%, SPADA 1.3% and Google Classroom 22.8%. (c) The duration of online learning is more than 60 minutes 18.6%, 30 minutes to 60 minutes 64.8% and under 30 minutes 16.6%. (d) Material aspects, namely: easy to understand 71.2% and material difficult to understand 28.8%. (e) Aspects of student readiness, in the ready category of 20.9%, quite ready 52.4%, less ready 26.7%. (f) The biggest obstacle for students is challenging the signal of 58.9%, quota of 25.3%, and time of 15.8%. From the research that has been carried out it can be concluded: (1) The form of lectures conducted at the PJKR Study Program of the University of PGRI Semarang utilizes online learning platforms such as Zoom, Google Classroom, SPADA, and SIP. While for field practice lectures using video and assignment forms, (2) The efforts of students to take part in online learning are quite good with the acquisition being quite ready and the percentage is 52.4%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the level of student confidence in micro teaching learning for students of Physical Education Health and Recreation, Univeritas Islam Riau. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The population in this study were all students of Physical Education for Health and Recreation Semester VI of the 2019/2020 Academic Year who had completed the micro teaching course which received 211 people. The research sampling technique used total sampling. The research was conducted by applying a questionnaire to students. Based on the results of the research analysis, the findings obtained were 34.59% of self-competence results in the "sufficient" category and 35.07% of micro teaching skills in the "sufficient" category. This proves that Health and Recreation Physical Education students must be able to hone their ability to practice speaking skills so that they can become more competent prospective teachers in their fields.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the effect of the reciprocal method on the basic skills of playing Football. This type of research is quasi-experimental, the study population was 57 male students of SMP Negeri 2 Bunut Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, while the sample in this study was 40 students after using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used was the David Lee proficiency test which was a development of David Lee made by Subagyo Irianto. Data were analyzed using statistical normality test and t-test. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant influence of reciprocal methods on the basic skills of playing soccer for students of SMP Negeri 2 Bunut, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province.
