Abstract

This study examines the relationship between Islamic education and economic life among Muslim communities in Teluk Bintuni, West Papua, Indonesia. The research investigates how Islamic educational institutions, religious learning traditions, and community-based Islamic organizations contribute to economic values, entrepreneurial attitudes, social solidarity, and economic resilience within Papuan Muslim society. Likert-scale questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were employed in this study. Questionnaires were distributed to 95 respondents, consisting of students from Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN), pesantren students, members of Majelis Taklim, representatives of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), and mosque organizational leaders. Fourteen respondents from each Muslim group were interviewed to confirm and deepen the questionnaire findings. The findings demonstrate that Islamic education significantly influences economic ethics, work discipline, collective responsibility, and community empowerment. Islamic educational values such as honesty, cooperation, discipline, trustworthiness, and social justice contribute positively to local economic development and social cohesion. It also reveals that Islamic institutions play a strategic role in strengthening socio-economic resilience among minority Muslim communities in Papua. The research contributes to broader discussions on religion, education, and economic development in multicultural societies, and it provides recommendations for integrating Islamic educational policies with community economic empowerment programs in Eastern Indonesia.

Abstract

Learning management plays a crucial role in improving educational quality, particularly in Islamic boarding school-based educational institutions that integrate academic excellence with religious and character education. However, previous studies have primarily examined instructional planning, implementation, and evaluation as separate processes, with limited attention to their integration within pesantren-based schools. This study aims to analyze the implementation of learning management in improving educational quality at Nurul Jadid Junior High School. A qualitative case study approach was employed using observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while source and methodological triangulation ensured the trustworthiness of the findings. The results indicate that learning management operates through an integrated cycle of instructional planning, implementation, and continuous evaluation, supported by collaborative teacher coordination, student-centered learning, digital technology integration, and systematic academic supervision. The novelty of this study lies in proposing an integrated learning management model that conceptualizes planning, implementation, and evaluation as interconnected processes for continuous educational quality improvement within a pesantren-based school. This model contributes to learning management theory and offers practical guidance for school leaders in strengthening instructional quality and sustainable school improvement.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed Islamic education by providing new opportunities and challenges, particularly in shaping students' moral character. This study aims to analyze the importance of integrating Islamic moral values into digital technology and to examine the role of Islamic education management in ensuring that technology use remains aligned with Islamic principles. This study employed a qualitative approach using the library research method by reviewing books, scientific journals, and other relevant academic sources. The findings reveal that digital technology can serve as an effective educational and managerial tool when implemented systematically, professionally, and based on Islamic moral values. The integration can be realized through digital-based learning planning, strengthening Islamic digital literacy, and promoting ethical and responsible technology use. The scientific contribution of this study lies in proposing a conceptual framework for integrating Islamic moral values into digital education management, which can serve as a reference for Islamic educational institutions in responding to technological developments. The study concludes that Islamic education management plays a strategic role in producing generations who are intellectually competent and morally grounded.

Abstract

The leadership of Caliph Uthman ibn Affan was one of the most important and controversial periods in the history of Islamic government. On the one hand, he succeeded in strengthening state administration, expanding the territory of Islamic rule, and codifying the Qur'an through the compilation of the Uthmani Mushaf. On the other hand, the policy of appointing relatives from the Umayyad dynasty to strategic government positions gave rise to accusations of nepotism which later developed into political conflict and culminated in the Great Fitnah . This study aims to analyze the leadership of Caliph Uthman ibn Affan by examining the dynamics of government policies, accusations of nepotism, and the factors behind the political crisis at the end of his caliphate. The study uses a qualitative method with a type of library research through a historical approach and historiographic analysis. Data were obtained from classical Islamic history literature, academic books, and relevant scientific articles, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and SaldaƱa which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings show that Uthman's administrative policies were a response to the increasingly complex needs of state governance resulting from the expansion of Islamic territory.
