Abstract

This study aims to examine gender representation in Islamic Religious Education textbooks, especially the Grade VI Akidah Akhlak Book of the Merdeka Curriculum. By using the Critical Discourse Analysis (AWK) approach of the Norman Fairclough model, researchers seek to identify and analyze gender biases and stereotypes hidden in the narrative, illustrations, and language structure of the textbook. The results showed that although narratively this book tends to use neutral language, from the visual aspect and the choice of characters, the dominance of men as the main actors is very visible. Women tend to be placed as extras or complements in various social, environmental, and moral activities. These findings indicate an implicit bias that has the potential to strengthen gender stereotypes in the educational environment. This study recommends the need to revise textbooks to be more inclusive and gender-perspective, in order to support fair and equal religious education. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi manajemen pemasaran digital yang diterapkan oleh MTs NU Putra 1 Buntet Pesantren dalam rangka meningkatkan jumlah peserta didik. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari tuntutan transformasi teknologi di sektor pendidikan, khususnya lembaga pendidikan Islam yang menghadapi tantangan adaptasi terhadap era digital. Studi ini menawarkan kebaruan dengan mengkaji penerapan model 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) dalam konteks madrasah berbasis pesantren, yang jarang dibahas dalam literatur akademik. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap pemangku kepentingan utama seperti kepala madrasah dan tim digital marketing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi digital yang digunakan cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan daya tarik calon peserta didik, meskipun tantangan seperti konsistensi konten dan regenerasi tim masih perlu diperbaiki. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa manajemen pemasaran digital yang terencana dan berkelanjutan dapat menjadi solusi strategis bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam dalam memperkuat visibilitas dan daya saing institusi di era modern.

Abstract

The conditions and phenomena of Indonesian society, which are very pluralistic in terms of ethnicity, race, religion and social status, have made an extraordinary contribution to the development of dynamics in society. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, teachers' multicultural insights in PAI learning, and their role in cultivating democracy and tolerance among students at SMK Negeri 1 and SMA Negeri 2 in Cimahi City. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytic approach, this study intends to obtain empirical and objective descriptions. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in both schools has been optimal and aligns with the objectives, methods, materials, tools/media, and evaluations. Teachers' multicultural insights, which encompass thought patterns, attitudes, and behaviors, can be applied in PAI learning. The role of PAI teachers' multicultural insights, which include understanding the reality of diversity, managing learning skills (pedagogy), and forming cultured students (enculturation), is essential for cultivating democracy and tolerance among students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the “growing rice” philosophy in shaping student leadership character at SMP Negeri 1 Jalaksana. This concept refers to the thoughts of Ki Hajar Dewantara, who emphasized education as an effort to guide students’ natural potential to develop holistically, encompassing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The research employed a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach conducted over one week, involving observations and in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students. Primary data were obtained from observations and interviews, while secondary data were derived from relevant literature, including books and scholarly articles. The findings reveal that the implementation of the “growing rice” philosophy is carried out in three stages: pre-growing, during growth, and post-growing. At the pre-growing stage, teachers prepared learning strategies aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum, including project-based learning, differentiated instruction, socio-emotional competency development, reflective practices, and positive discipline. During the growth stage, activities were conducted through intracurricular, extracurricular, and co-curricular programs that provided students with opportunities to create, collaborate, and participate in decision-making. The post-growing stage encompassed “harvesting,” reflected in the enhancement of students’ leadership skills such as effective communication, teamwork, conflict management, and decision-making, along with semester-based evaluations to monitor the development of leadership character. In conclusion, the implementation of the “growing rice” philosophy fosters students’ leadership character, creating an inclusive, cooperative, and positive school culture. Thus, Ki Hajar Dewantara’s educational philosophy remains relevant in supporting the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum to shape a generation that is intelligent, of strong character, and prepared to face future challenges.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Higher Education (PTKI) faces the challenge of balancing the idealism of Islamic values with the pragmatic demands of the labor market. This research aims to explore students' perspectives on this dilemma within the PTKI curriculum. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study collected quantitative data through a survey of 99 students and qualitative data through in-depth interviews. The findings reveal a significant perception gap: a majority of students (41.4%) feel the curriculum is imbalanced and overly theoretical, with 54.6% considering it irrelevant to current job market needs. This critical view is significantly more pronounced among students with internship experience (62.5%) compared to those without (33.3%). Despite this, an overwhelming majority of students (96%) do not desire a dichotomy but rather support an integrated curriculum that explicitly combines Islamic values with professional skills. The study concludes that the current theory-centric curriculum model is inadequate. It is recommended that the PTKI curriculum be reconstructed towards an applicative hybrid model that integrates theory and practice, thereby producing graduates who are not only professionally competent but also possess strong moral integrity

Abstract

External factors such as the family environment, especially the level of parental education, and internal factors such as student learning discipline, have a significant role in determining the level of student learning success. This study aims to analyze the influence of parents’ educational level and students’ learning discipline on academic achievement. This research employed a quantitative approach with a population consisting of all sixth grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Raudhatul Ulum Pematang Rambai, totaling 45 students. The sampling technique used was total population sampling, consisting of 24 students from class VI-A and 21 students from class VI-B. Data were collected using a questionnaire, while data analysis was conducted using SPSS for Windows version 25. The results of the regression analysis showed an R Square value of 0.516, indicating that parents’ educational level (X1) and students’ learning discipline (X2) contributed 51.6 percent to students’ academic achievement (Y). The effective contribution of variable X1 was 2.77 percent, while X2 contributed 48.83 percent. Therefore, it can be concluded that parents’ educational level and students’ learning discipline have a positive influence on improving the academic achievement of sixth grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Raudhatul Ulum Pematang Rambai.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Experiential Learning model in developing students’ spiritual intelligence in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at MTs NW Teko. The Experiential Learning approach is considered capable of bridging the gap between theoretical religious knowledge and the practical application of spiritual values in daily life. This research employed a mixed-methods design, combining a quantitative quasi-experimental approach with a qualitative case study. The subjects were eighth-grade students of MTs NW Teko. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. Quantitative analysis was used to measure the effectiveness of the learning model on students’ spiritual intelligence, while qualitative analysis identified supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The findings reveal that the Experiential Learning model has a significant impact on enhancing students’ spiritual intelligence. Students demonstrated higher religious awareness, social responsibility, and reflective understanding of their spiritual experiences. Qualitative results indicate that the key supporting factors include strong teacher and school support, active student engagement, and a religiously conducive school environment. Meanwhile, the main inhibiting factors are limited facilities and time, varying levels of students’ spiritual maturity, and methodological challenges in assessing affective aspects. Overall, the study concludes that the success of spiritual intelligence development through Experiential Learning depends greatly on the collaboration among teachers, students, and the school environment.

Abstract

Self-adjustment is a crucial ability for new students (santri) in adapting to the pesantren environment, which is characterized by its unique culture and strict regulations. Many santri face adaptation challenges that can negatively impact their comfort and academic performance. This study aims to develop a peer counseling model based on pesantren culture as a strategy to enhance the self-adjustment of new santri. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach, this study follows three main stages: initial information gathering, planning, and model development. The outcome of these stages is the formulation of a peer counseling model contextualized with pesantren values such as solidarity, simplicity, and obedience to religious teachings. This model is expected to serve as a practical guide for counselors and educators in assisting new santri to overcome adaptation difficulties effectively through trained peer support. The findings contribute theoretically to the development of culturally-based guidance and counseling, and offer practical benefits in improving the psychological well-being of students in the pesantren environment

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the policy dynamics behind the study tour ban issued by the Governor of West Java and compare it with the approach taken by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach and grounded in several theoretical frameworks—including the Policy Cycle Theory, Multiple Streams Framework (MSF), Asymmetric Decentralization and Intergovernmental Relations (IGR), Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Experiential Learning, Critical Theory in Education, and the Advocacy Coalition Framework (ACF)—this research finds that the policy divergence stems from differences in policy stages, central-local government dynamics, and conflicting values between pedagogical goals and social justice concerns. A survey of 62 respondents comprising teachers, school principals, retired educators, and education officials reveals that most support out-of-school learning activities, provided they are educational, affordable, safe, and inclusive. The findings suggest that a total ban on study tours contradicts the principles of contextual learning and character education. Therefore, a redefinition of study tours as structured educational visits is necessary, along with improved policy coordination between central and regional authorities to realize an equitable, relevant, and student-centered education policy.

Abstract

The integration of science and religious values in madrasah education often remains dichotomous and lacks deep epistemological unity. This study aims to describe the implementation of Biotheistic-based Biology learning and to reveal the essence of students' spiritual experiences at MA YPI Cikoneng, Bandung Regency. This research employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving 10 purposively selected key participants. The results indicate that: (1) The implementation of Biotheistic learning is structured through the 'Webbed-Theistic' planning model and the execution of 'Scientific-Spiritual Inquiry,' integrating qauliyah and kauniyah verses; (2) Phenomenologically, students experience a paradigm shift where biological phenomena are viewed not merely as material mechanisms but as theophanies (manifestations) of God's greatness; (3) The essence of students' spiritual experience evolves from cognitive understanding to a sense of awe, culminating in a consciousness of servitude (being). This study concludes that the Biotheistic approach effectively transforms Biology learning into a means of ma'rifatullah (knowing God) that enhances students' spiritual awareness, despite constraints regarding time allocation.
