Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi Badan Pengawas Pemilu (Bawaslu) Kabupaten Tolitoli dalam mencegah praktik politik uang pada Pemilu 2024 di Kecamatan Baolan. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, dan triangulasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa strategi Bawaslu meliputi sosialisasi, pengawasan partisipatif, dan penegakan hukum. Namun, hambatan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat, dan kendala implementasi regulasi menjadi tantangan utama. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan kolaborasi dengan masyarakat serta optimalisasi penggunaan teknologi dalam pengawasan.

Abstract

Penambahan bahan kimia pada campuran agregat, semen dan air sebagai bahan utama pembuatan beton sudah bukan lagi menjadi hal baru, terutama pada beton yang memerlukan kinerja tinggi, penting untuk mengendalikan volume penggunaan air dalam pencampuran adukan beton dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan kekuatan, ketahanan dan keawetan konstruksi dalam durasi waktu yang lama, dalam produksi beton mutu tinggi penambahan air diperlukan hanya sebagai proses hidrasi semen. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penambahan superplasticizer sebanyak 0,8% dan 1% dari berat semen terhadap beton normal sebagai alternatif penggantian sebagian penggunaan air sebanyak 30 % untuk meningkatkan nilai slump dan mutu beton, superplasticizer yang dipakai merek sica viscocrete  3115 N berbahan polycarboxylate, mengurangi penggunaan air dengan menambahkan polycarboxylate dapat meningkatkan kecairan adukan beton tanpa mengorbankan kekuatan akhir. Hasil penelitian beton normal yang ditambahkan superplasticizer pada rancangan beton        fc’ 20 Mpa, nilai slump pada beton normal diperoleh sebesar 6 cm, adukan beton dengan pengurangan air sebanyak 30% diperoleh nilai slump 12 cm pada penambahan superplasticizer 0,8% dan nilai slump 16 cm pada penambahan superplasticizer 1%. Mutu beton umur 28 hari cenderung meningkat dibandingkan dengan beton tanpa superplasticizer, mutu beton tanpa superplasticizer sebesar fc’ 21,0 Mpa, penambahan superplasticizer 0,8% dan 1% pada beton menghasilkan mutu beton fc’ sebesar 24,1 Mpa dan 27,8 Mpa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak biji pala (Myristica fragrans) menggunakan metode DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) sebagai langkah awal dalam mengkaji potensi aplikasinya di bidang peternakan modern. Ekstrak biji pala diuji pada berbagai konsentrasi (1,9–125 ppm), dan aktivitas antioksidannya diukur berdasarkan persen inhibisi terhadap radikal bebas DPPH. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas antioksidan meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan konsentrasi, dengan nilai IC₅₀ sebesar 5,38 ppm, yang mengindikasikan potensi antioksidan yang kuat. Analisis fitokimia menunjukkan keberadaan senyawa flavonoid (1,1099 mg EQ/g) dan fenol (45,6512 mg EGA/g), dua komponen bioaktif yang berperan penting dalam mekanisme penangkal radikal bebas. Temuan ini mendukung bahwa ekstrak biji pala berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai aditif alami, baik dalam formulasi pakan maupun pengawet hasil ternak. Studi ini memberikan dasar ilmiah untuk eksplorasi lebih lanjut melalui analisis in vitro dalam konteks aplikasi peternakan fungsional yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kesehatan dan kualitas produk ternak.

Abstract

The demand for concrete as a primary construction material has increased significantly each year, leading to the excessive exploitation of natural sand and resulting in adverse environmental impacts. On the other hand, construction waste such as used paving blocks from road and sidewalk demolitions continues to accumulate without optimal reuse. This study aims to analyze the utilization of paving waste as a partial replacement for fine aggregate (sand) and its effect on the compressive strength of concrete, using paving waste variations of 5%, 10%, and 15%. The research method employed an experimental approach in the laboratory, with compressive strength tests conducted at 7 and 28 days in accordance with SNI 03-2834-2000. The test results show that concrete with 15% paving waste substitution achieved the highest compressive strength, reaching 20.70 MPa at 7 days and 27.98 MPa at 28 days, exceeding that of normal concrete (0%) which only reached 26.90 MPa. These findings indicate that paving waste has potential as an environmentally friendly alternative to fine aggregate, while also significantly enhancing the compressive strength of concrete.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi adaptasi dosen Universitas Madako Tolitoli dalam mencapai work-life balance (WLB) di tengah tuntutan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang multifaset. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam sebagai metode pengumpulan data utama dari dosen lintas fakultas dan jenjang karier, serta didukung analisis dokumen. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa WLB dosen sangat bergantung pada agensi dan strategi proaktif individu. Tiga tema utama strategi adaptasi yang teridentifikasi dari penelitian ini meliputi: (1) Manajemen waktu dan prioritas adaptif, di mana dosen secara fleksibel mengatur jadwal harian dan mingguan mereka, termasuk alokasi blok waktu khusus untuk riset dan keluarga, serta menerapkan batasan yang tegas antara ranah kerja dan personal. (2) Pencarian dan pemanfaatan dukungan sosial, baik dari rekan kerja melalui sistem dukungan sejawat informal maupun dari keluarga (terutama pasangan), yang terbukti krusial dalam menyeimbangkan tuntutan profesional dan domestik. (3) Pengembangan resiliensi dan penetapan batasan pribadi, di mana dosen belajar untuk mengelola tekanan kerja secara efektif, berani mengatakan "tidak" pada beban berlebih, dan memahami WLB sebagai proses berkelanjutan yang membutuhkan penyesuaian pola pikir. Meskipun kebijakan WLB formal mungkin belum komprehensif di Universitas Madako Tolitoli, penelitian ini menyoroti bahwa fleksibilitas informal dan pemahaman dari atasan langsung turut berperan sebagai faktor pendukung adaptasi individu. Hal ini mengindikasikan signifikansi budaya organisasi yang suportif. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini memperkaya literatur WLB dengan perspektif mikro yang mendalam, menekankan bahwa keseimbangan kerja-hidup sangat bergantung pada inisiatif pribadi dan dukungan sosial, di samping kebijakan institusi. Implikasi praktis bagi manajemen sumber daya manusia di Perguruan Tinggi Swasta adalah pentingnya tidak hanya merancang kebijakan formal, tetapi juga menciptakan lingkungan dan budaya yang mendorong fleksibilitas, dukungan rekan kerja, serta pengembangan manajemen diri dan resiliensi dosen.

Abstract

Financial literacy and investment awareness are essential competencies for young people in the digital economy era. However, students of Generation Z in regional areas such as Tolitoli Regency continue to face significant gaps in understanding basic financial concepts and common investment terms—especially when such information is presented in English. This study aims to: (1) identify the current state of financial and investment literacy, along with English comprehension related to financial contexts among Gen-Z students in Tolitoli; (2) develop an educational model and module of Financial English tailored to local needs; and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of the module in enhancing financial understanding and decision-making skills. The research employed a research and development approach, combining surveys, interviews, pre- and post-tests, and expert validation as data collection methods. Findings revealed low levels of investment literacy and limited comprehension of financial English terminology, with language acting as a major barrier to accessing credible financial information. The developed module, which integrates localized financial education with contextual English learning, proved effective in improving both conceptual understanding and students’ confidence in managing financial decisions. These results suggest that a contextual, dual-focus approach can serve as a strategic solution for strengthening the financial preparedness of young people in underserved regions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of the Bener Irrigation Network in Kejayan District, Pasuruan Regency, based on technical and non technical factors to support sustainable food security. The evaluation was conducted using a descriptive approach with a mixed quantitative and qualitative method, including field observations, channel condition measurements, and questionnaires distributed to 30 P3A farmer members and 5 irrigation management officers. Technical factors were assessed through the physical condition of primary and secondary channels, while non technical factors included community participation, maintenance budget availability, and institutional coordination. The results indicate that the primary channels have an average condition value of 78.88% (moderate category), while the secondary channels have an average of 70.08% (moderate category) with a higher level of damage. Non technical factors are the main challenge, characterized by low farmer participation, limited maintenance funding, and uneven water availability throughout the year. Questionnaire results revealed that although 100% of respondents acknowledge the existence of P3A and consider it active, only 49% believe the infrastructure functions sustainably, and most stated that irrigation water is not always available year round. Overall, the performance of the Bener Irrigation Network is considered fairly good but requires improvement through channel rehabilitation, institutional strengthening, and participatory management strategies to achieve sustainable irrigation performance.

Abstract

Boilers are essential components in industry, functioning to generate steam for production processes, and their efficiency greatly affects both energy effectiveness and operational costs. One of the main factors influencing efficiency is the type of fuel used. This study aims to analyze the effect of fuel variations on the efficiency of a Chain Grate Stoker boiler in a textile industry located in Pandaan, Pasuruan Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach by testing five types of fuel, namely coal, wood pellets, candlenut shells, palm shells, and a coal–wood pellet mixture (80:20). Data were collected through direct measurement of boiler operational variables, including steam pressure, furnace temperature, feedwater temperature, and steam flow rate. Boiler efficiency was calculated using the heat balance method by comparing the fuel input energy with the output energy in the form of steam. The results show that wood pellets produced the highest efficiency at 57% with an average furnace temperature of 415 °C, although requiring higher fuel consumption (1,800 kg/h). Candlenut shells yielded the lowest efficiency at 39% due to their high moisture content. Pure coal demonstrated moderate efficiency of 46% but produced a large amount of ash residue. Meanwhile, the coal–wood pellet mixture provided the best balance, achieving 51% efficiency with lower fuel consumption (1,300 kg/h) and moderate ash residue. This study confirms that fuel type has a significant impact on boiler efficiency and operational sustainability. The coal–wood pellet co-firing strategy is recommended as a more economical and environmentally friendly alternative compared to single-fuel utilization

Abstract

The potential for clove production excellence in Indonesia should be optimised to encourage an increase in export volume to international markets. The objective of this study is to analyse the competitive position of Indonesian clove exports to the global market as one of Indonesia's leading export commodities. The analysis used in this study is quantitative data analysis. The methods employed are the Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantages (RSCA) analysis (Laursen, 2015) and Export Product Dynamics (EPD). Based on the analysis results, Indonesia's clove RSCA value is greater than zero. This indicates that cloves are one of Indonesia's competitive flagship products exported to the markets of India, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam compared to other export products. The growth of Indonesia's clove market share in major importing countries shows an ideal trend

Abstract

The manufacturing industry demands high production machine effectiveness to ensure smooth operations and maintain competitiveness. Issues related to machine effectiveness also occur at PT Tirta Fresindo Jaya, where the Palletizer machine recorded the highest downtime of 0.21%, compared to other production machines, indicating the need for a comprehensive performance evaluation. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Palletizer machine using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method and to identify potential failures through Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). A quantitative approach was employed in this research, with primary data collected through direct observation and recording of machine operational variables, while secondary data were obtained from production reports and company maintenance records. The OEE analysis was conducted based on three main parameters: availability, performance, and quality rate, whereas FMEA was applied to identify failure modes using the Risk Priority Number (RPN) as the assessment indicator. The results reveal that the OEE value of the Palletizer machine ranged between 84.42% and 90.10%, with both availability and quality rate meeting international standards, while performance remained below the world-class OEE benchmark. The Six Big Losses analysis indicated that the largest loss was caused by equipment failure, contributing 1.72% of the total downtime. Furthermore, the FMEA results showed that the sleding conveyor had the highest RPN value (343), followed by the push box and hydraulic pallet (336). Based on these findings, improvement efforts are recommended to focus on preventive maintenance of the sleding motor, scheduled replacement of hydraulic components, and routine inspections of the push box to minimize failure risks. Therefore, the integration of OEE and FMEA not only evaluates machine effectiveness but also provides strategic recommendations to reduce downtime and enhance sustainable productivity
