Abstract

This training is in the form of training on creating digital learning materials using Heyzine at SMP Negeri 25 Barru. This training aims to equip teachers with the skills to create interactive and visually appealing learning resources. The training, held on August 22, 2024, used a workshop model consisting of two stages: theory sessions and practical sessions. The results showed significant improvement in teachers' ability to develop engaging and interactive materials, with increased confidence in using digital tools to support learning objectives. In addition, teachers gained insights into the use of technology to create meaningful educational experiences, and some teachers began to integrate Heyzine with other digital platforms such as Google Classroom. Overall, the training reflected a proactive approach to preparing educators for future educational challenges in an increasingly digitized world. Abstrak Pelatihan ini berupa pelatihan pembuatan materi pembelajaran digital menggunakan Heyzine di SMP Negeri 25 Barru. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membekali para guru dengan keterampilan membuat sumber belajar yang interaktif dan menarik secara visual. Pelatihan yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 22 Agustus 2024 ini menggunakan model lokakarya yang terdiri dari dua tahap: sesi teori dan sesi praktik. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan guru untuk mengembangkan materi yang menarik dan interaktif, dengan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam menggunakan alat digital untuk mendukung tujuan pembelajaran. Selain itu, para guru memperoleh wawasan tentang penggunaan teknologi untuk menciptakan pengalaman pendidikan yang bermakna, dan beberapa guru mulai mengintegrasikan Heyzine dengan platform digital lainnya seperti Google Classroom. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan ini mencerminkan pendekatan proaktif untuk mempersiapkan para pendidik dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di masa depan di dunia yang semakin terdigitalisasi.

Abstract

Breast milk is an excellent source of nutrition for infants, with a balanced composition that meets the growth needs of babies. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still low. This community service aims to empower pregnant women through education and training on breastfeeding techniques in preparation for breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding in Penyengat Olak Village, Muaro Jambi Regency, in 2024. The community service activities will be carried out from January to October 2024. The implementation method involves empowering pregnant women through education, training, and demonstrations on correct breastfeeding techniques. This community service will also include demonstrations on proper breastfeeding methods. The tools used include educational materials on exclusive breastfeeding and breastfeeding preparation, a module on correct breastfeeding techniques, videos, a laptop, an LCD projector, stationery, and baby demonstration models. This empowerment activity successfully increased the knowledge and skills of pregnant women in Penyengat Olak Village. It is hoped that with this program, mothers can provide exclusive breastfeeding that positively impacts the health of both mothers and babies, as well as raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding within the community.

Abstract

Enhancing teachers’ ability to use Merdeka Curriculum and establish a nurturing learning environment is the aim of community service. The training activities include observation, socializing, material provision, practical experience, assessment, and reflection. Teachers who complete this program will be able to utilize the Merdeka Mengajar Platform to develop comprehensive lesson plans and assessments that align with the ideas of flexible and student-focused learning. According to the evaluation’s findings, 84% of teachers are able to utilize the platform on their own, and 87.5% of teachers effectively applied the Merdeka Curriculum with an average score of 3.50. Still, some educators require ongoing assistance. With ongoing support, it is envisaged that the training’s outcomes would enhance instruction quality and overall student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The incidence of HIV in the Bontomangape Galesong Health Center work area has raised a concern for Hasanuddin University (UNHAS). Partnering with the health center, UNHAS team carried out Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) posts to educate the community and to conduct early detection of HIV in the health center work area. The activities in the VCT post included the playing of educational videos, the distribution of HIV andsexually transmitted diseases (STD) educational leaflets, counseling to undertake tests for family members of people with HIV, counseling to do tests on the people at risk, rapid antigen HIV-Syphilis examination, and post-screening counseling. The results and outputs produced in program were (1) HIV and STD educational videos and leaflets, (2) Publication in the online media, and (3) Increased public knowledge and awareness regarding the dangers and risk factors of HIV, and the importance of early detection of HIV and STI. Abstrak Tingkat kejadian HIV di daerah pesisir termasuk di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bontomangape Galesong menjadi perhatian Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS). Bermitra dengan pihak puskesmas, tim UNHAS melaksanakan pos Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) untuk edukasi dan skrining HIV di wilayah kerja puskesmas. Kegiatan pos VCT termasuk pemutaran video edukasi dan penyebaran leaflet HIV dan Infeksi menular seksual (IMS), konseling untuk melakukan tes bagi para anggota keluarga ODHIV, konseling test pada masyarakat umum yang beresiko, pemeriksaan rapid antigen HIV-Sifilis, dan konseling pasca skrining. Luaran yang dihasilkan pada kegiatan ini adalah (1) Video dan leaflet edukasi HIV dan IMS, (2) Publikasi pada media online, dan (3) meningkatnya pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai bahaya dan faktor risiko HIV, serta pentingnya deteksi dini HIV dan IMS.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to increase the productivity of organic robusta coffee and the quality of fermented coffee beans through the application of organic fertilizers and sustainable cultivation practices in Pentingsari Village, Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Pentingsari Village is located on the slopes of Mount Merapi with fertile volcanic soil, making it a potential location for the development of organic coffee farming. Challenges faced by farmers include the use of inorganic fertilizers that damage soil quality and lack of knowledge about organic farming practices. Through a series of counseling, training, and field practice, this program provides education and skills to farmers to adopt better organic farming practices. The results of the activities show an increase in farmers' knowledge about organic coffee cultivation techniques, improvements in coffee bean fermentation methods, and increased productivity and quality of robusta coffee. The implementation of organic fertilizers in agricultural land management has a positive impact on soil fertility and the sustainability of coffee production

Abstract

UKM Sehati Yogurt Purwokerto produces good-quality yogurt but faces challenges in product stability, shelf life, and market competitiveness. To address these issues, product diversification using a konjac glucomannan stabilizer is proposed to align with consumer trends. However, marketing also presents a significant obstacle. This community service program aims to transfer yogurt production technology using konjac stabilizer and offer digital marketing guidance to enhance market reach. The program involves two steps: technology transfer and marketing support. The technology transfer includes training for the UKM owner and community on using the Konjac glucomannan stabilizer in stirred yogurt production. The digital marketing support involves providing training on creating promotional content for social media and utilizing online marketplaces for sales. The outcomes of this program include the successful production of new, higher-quality yogurt products with the added health benefits of konjac fiber. Additionally, the UKM owner and community gained new skills in both production and digital marketing. After the digital marketing training, the SME actively engaged in online sales, broadening its consumer reach. This initiative is expected to increase sales significantly through product diversification and expanded digital marketing efforts.

Abstract

Limbah rumah tangga merupakan salah satu masalah lingkungan yang sering diabaikan, padahal dengan pemanfaatan yang tepat, limbah tersebut dapat menjadi sumber daya yang bernilai ekonomis. Selain itu, masalah kesehatan terkait dengan penyakit yang ditularkan oleh nyamuk, seperti demam berdarah (DBD), menjadi isu penting yang perlu segera diatasi. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kedua masalah tersebut dengan mengajarkan masyarakat cara mengolah limbah rumah tangga menjadi produk lilin pengusir nyamuk yang memiliki nilai jual dan dapat membantu mengendalikan populasi nyamuk. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi pelatihan pembuatan lilin pengusir nyamuk berbahan dasar limbah rumah tangga, pendampingan dalam proses produksi, dan bimbingan terkait pemasaran produk. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan partisipatif, di mana masyarakat diajak untuk terlibat langsung dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan. Selama pelaksanaan, tim pengabdian juga memberikan fasilitas pendukung, seperti alat produksi sederhana dan akses bahan baku. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat berhasil memanfaatkan limbah rumah tangga menjadi lilin pengusir nyamuk yang memiliki nilai jual. Selain itu, keterampilan masyarakat dalam memproduksi lilin ini meningkat, yang berdampak pada peningkatan pendapatan mereka. Penggunaan lilin pengusir nyamuk juga membantu masyarakat dalam mengendalikan populasi nyamuk di lingkungan sekitar, sehingga dapat mengurangi risiko penyebaran penyakit DBD. Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berhasil mencapai tujuannya, yakni meningkatkan keterampilan dan pendapatan masyarakat, serta memberikan kontribusi positif dalam pengendalian penyakit DBD.

The development of Bonto Masunggu Tourism Village in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, is an effort to enhance community welfare by utilizing the area’s natural and cultural potentials. The village offers natural attractions such as waterfalls and hilly landscapes, along with key products like honey, palm sugar, and mushroom-based goods. This article discusses the village's potential, community empowerment strategies, and the challenges and solutions encountered in tourism village development. Community empowerment through training and digital marketing plays a crucial role in enhancing the value of local products and promoting community engagement. The adoption of technology, infrastructure improvement, and collaboration with the government and private sector are essential to ensure the sustainability of the program. With an integrated approach, Bonto Masunggu Tourism Village is expected to become a sustainable tourism destination that provides economic and social benefits to the local community.

Abstract

This community service project aimed to enhance the knowledge of outsourced workers at BPJS Kesehatan’s Samarinda Branch Office regarding the health risks associated with smoking and the importance of maintaining a nutritious breakfast routine. Initial data revealed prevalent unhealthy habits, including high smoking rates and irregular breakfast patterns among workers, which can adversely impact their productivity and long-term health. The intervention involved structured health education sessions, including presentations and interactive discussions, focusing on the adverse effects of smoking and the benefits of a healthy breakfast for sustaining energy and concentration. Pre-test and post-test assessments were conducted to measure knowledge improvement, and results showed a statistically significant increase in post-intervention scores (p = 0.029). These findings underscore the positive impact of targeted health education in promoting healthier habits among outsourced workers, contributing to better workplace well-being and productivity.

Abstract

The Writing Essay Workshop About Project Implementation of Strengthening Profil Pelajar Pancasila became a positive activity in supporting the Merdeka curriculum policy, emphasizing the urgency of education character and 21st-century skills. This workshop realized the government assistance for the literacy community provided by The Agency for Language Development and Cultivation, Kemendikbudristek RI. PUSPA Kota Tanjungpinang was one of the beneficiaries among 340 literacy communities in Indonesia. The participants were 25 children aged 15-18 years old from several high schools in Tanjungpinang. Through this workshop, the participants were guided to build a brainstorming as a first step to writing an essay. The theme of the essay was the implementation and the overview of empirical practice about P5 in their school. It would be a constructive suggestion about project-based learning. The output of this workshop was a dummy book containing all of the participant’s essays.
