Contextual learning is a learning strategy that emphasizes the process of student involvement to achieve goals associated with real-life situations. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and data collection is done by interview and documentation as well as relevant literature. Abstract

The role of parents is a determining element of student success during the Covid-19 pandemic. Achieving success in children's education cannot be separated from the vital role of parents, who are the primary source in children's education. The research question is: What is parents' role in Christian Religious Learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SDN 02 Kalirejo in the 2019/2020 academic year? The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that parents act as teachers, motivators, facilitators, and mentors. Then it was also found that not all parents of students have played their role in the distance learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is due to several factors, including an incomplete understanding of the role of parents in the distance learning process; minimal socialization about the role of parents in distance learning either from schools or educators; distance learning is new for parents; working parents cause the time allocation to be minimal.

Abstract

Restricting the space for the freedom of other religions to become an issue that continues to surface until now, and this has damaged the fact of plurality. Coexistence among religious adherents is a serious problem characterized by fanatical attitudes that isolate religious adherents for theological reasons. This then led to religious warnings that propagated in various sectors of human life including education. To overcome this problem, the purpose of this research is to provide space for theology to exist through the role of Christian education to shake up the space of isolation which continues to narrow relations between religious adherents. The method used in this research is content analysis concerning texts related to research topics in the form of journal articles, books, and online media which are selected according to research interests. The result of this study is that the role of education is needed as a vehicle for educating the intelligence of religious adherents in realizing theology both explicitly and implicitly in a pluralistic society. Through educated people, the isolation space can be shaken, and theology can exist creatively and proportionately in caring for the diversity of religious life.

Abstract

Abstract

Ex-convicts in Indonesia faced significant social stigmatization that hindered their reintegration into society and negatively impacted their self-concept. This study examined the effectiveness of Christian discipleship programs in developing positive self-concept among ex-convicts. The research was conducted at GKIN "Pemberita Damai" Semarang, where a structured discipleship program operated weekly from January to November 2024. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed, utilizing unstructured interviews, in-depth interviews, and observation. Six participants were purposively selected, including one pastor, two church council members, and three ex-convicts who had participated in the discipleship program. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The study found that spiritual mentorship through discipleship effectively addressed the identity reconstruction needs of ex-convicts by providing both spiritual foundations and a supportive community. Participants demonstrated improved self-perception, increased social confidence, and enhanced coping mechanisms. The integration of spiritual approaches with psychological rehabilitation offered a comprehensive framework for ex-convicts' reintegration. This research contributed to the development of more effective rehabilitation models that incorporate spiritual dimensions alongside traditional psychological approaches.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed how faith is practiced and how Christian Religious Education is delivered, necessitating a theological reinterpretation of religious formation in digital contexts. This study aims to develop a theoretical framework that integrates theology, ethics, digital literacy, and spirituality to guide Christian education in the digital era. Employing a qualitative literature review method, the study analyzes scholarly works on digital theology, education, and ethics to examine how digital environments shape faith formation, moral reasoning, and community engagement. The findings reveal that digital media functions not merely as a communication tool but as a formative environment influencing spiritual identity and ethical behavior. The proposed digital Christian Religious Education model emphasizes four interrelated dimensions: theology as the foundation of faith, ethics as responsible digital citizenship, digital literacy as critical engagement, and spirituality as holistic formation across physical and virtual spaces. This study contributes to global discourse by offering an integrative and contextual approach that empowers Christian educators to foster authentic spiritual growth and responsible digital discipleship in an increasingly networked world.
