This article aims to reveal the value of senguyun as part of the tribe’s local wisdom, and as a way for Christian education for nurturing the faith of church members. The method used in  this research is a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques employed are observation, interviews and document analysis. The result of the study shows that senguyun is a form of local wisdom that is in accordance with bibilical principles and should be regarded as a noble cultural heritage that must continue to be preserved.

Abstract

Hispanic scholars are increasingly gaining seats at the table of theological education in the United States, yet many remain marginalised under it, seeking food and opportunities for advancement in academic institutions. This study examines the distinctive elements of mentoring Hispanics in theological education, exploring how cultural features and biblical foundations inform effective mentoring relationships within these communities. This research was conducted in the context of North American theological educational institutions, with particular attention to the emergence of Hispanic theological scholars and organisations such as AETH (Asociación para la Educación Teológica Hispana) and La Comunidad of Hispanic American Scholars of Religion. This research synthesises insights from educational theory, theological studies, and cultural analysis to develop a framework for understanding mentoring in Hispanic theological education. The investigation revealed eight distinctive cultural traits among Hispanics that inform mentoring relationships: passion, personalism, soul paradoxes, community, spiritual journey, musical elan, fiesta, and family. The study identifies parallels between traditional mentoring and the Hispanic concept of padrino/a (baptist parenting), showing how cultural understanding improves the effectiveness of mentoring. This study establishes that effective mentoring develops through four stages: idealisation, disappointment, differentiation, and partnership.

Researchers took samples from the entire existing population, namely grade IV students of SD Negeri Inpres Sereh Sentani, totaling 52 people. The reason for selecting students as a whole from the existing population is because the total number of students taught is not too large or relatively small. The method used in this study is a quantitative research method with the following data collection techniques: First, Literature Study. Second, field observations. Third, distributing questionnaires. After the data is collected, the data is analyzed and correlated using the Likert scale technique, rating scale by looking for correlations through Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis to get the result that the effect of the Naturalistic Intelligence model with 3 indicators (a lot of aspirations about nature, interested in the topic of flora and fauna and sensitivity to symptoms nature) for fourth grade students of SD Negeri Inpres Sereh Sentani enter and have reached the level of naturalistic intelligence on the indicator that many aspirations about nature exist (87.62%), the indicator of interest in the topic of flora and fauna exists (92.49%) and the indicator of sensitivity to natural symptoms exist (91.67%). So, it can be concluded that the outdoor learning model is positively related to naturalistic intelligence, including a very high correlation.

Abstract

Papua had received the Gospel since 1855, yet continued to experience persistent socio-economic and moral challenges, including poverty, limited access to quality education, and the erosion of cultural values. These realities indicated a theological and developmental disconnect between the region’s Christian identity and its lived social condition. This study aimed to explore how Early Childhood Christian Education (ECCE) could be developed as a transformative response to this gap, particularly for the Alpha Generation growing up in Papua’s multicultural context. Conducted through a descriptive qualitative approach within the socio-religious context of Papua, the study employed theological and pedagogical reflection to analyse how Christian values and Papuan indigenous wisdom can be integrated into early education. Data were collected through literature review, analysis of church-based documents, and contextual educational materials. The findings revealed a critical need for Gospel-centered, culturally grounded ECCE models that promote holistic spiritual, emotional, and moral formation from an early age. The study concluded that a contextual and integrative approach to ECCE could bridge the divide between ritual faith and transformative Christian living. This research contributed a conceptual framework for churches and theological institutions to equip young children with Christlike character, cultural rootedness, and active participation in the renewal of Papuan society.

Abstract

Like other educators, school counselors initially responded to the Covid-19 crisis with confusion and uncertainty, for which they needed solutions with collaboration and innovation. In schools with a framework used to focus on the 'whole child.' MTSS supports academic growth and achievement, but also supports many other areas. MTSS is a holistic learning approach to support students through large-scale life changes due to the global pandemic. The pandemic is prompting school counselors to turn to virtual tools to engage with and track students and families. School counselors make use of certain technological tools, but also offer some caveats about their use. During the pandemic, school counselors are expected to provide comprehensive services to students and families, and instead step into a leadership role that allows them to provide comprehensive virtual social-emotional and academic learning in counseling services to their students. The need for school counselors to stay connected to students during COVID-19 through providing virtual advice, providing virtual counseling (individual and/or group): trauma care, cyberbullying, managing expectations, paying attention to burnout, and managing burnout. For the future of students, meet students wherever they are while respecting digital security, cyberbullying, and protecting student privacy, and taking care to ensure confidentiality.

Abstract

Gender equality is still an interesting issue to be discussed today. Most people, especially those living in various regions in Indonesia, still misinterpret this. Gender equality is seen as an act that puts women first. In Christian circles, this thought is caused by Christian leaders in the past who gave teachings about gender who had unfair treatment between men and women. To provide a solution to these problems, the author uses qualitative research with the literature study method. The author finds that, gender is a characteristic that can be exchanged between each other and can be shared by both. Allah distinguishes the sexes but does not differentiate between the roles of the two. Thus, PAK plays a vital role in building gender understanding in the family and community, especially in the field of education, and in the field of education.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the lack of student motivation in following Christian Religious Education subjects. For this reason, the purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the effect of the cooperative learning model of the team games tournamnet type on the motivation to learn Christian Religious Education in seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Simbuang Tana Toraja. The author uses the method of distributing questionnaires to 20 students in the form of open statements and open interviews to 10 students. The purpose of conducting interviews is to strengthen the results of the questionnaires distributed and direct observations. From the correlation results of data analysis using SPSS, it shows that the team games tournament type cooperative learning model has an effect on students' intrinsic motivation with a significant result, namely 0.671 which is in a strong/high relationship, while the Teams Games Tournament on extrinsic motivation gets a significant result, namely 0.479 which is at moderate/moderate relationship. Students' learning motivation increases both intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. Thus, it can be concluded that the team games tournament type cooperative learning model has an effect on students' learning motivation.Â
